he taught well listen if I if I did that I wouldn't gonna do calling by her name so you know that's a big event when Steven Spielberg is wearing a name tag special so when I did um Maidan interstellar I saw that twelve times in theaters and IMAX gear it out well what's going on here this is this is you Steve taking a picture of you and is that his daughter that's his daughter that's at the premiere couple weeks ago I loved that picture because you get a great impression of like the dad vibe Steve admits they're sure he's like taking a picture like a real parent that I guess contorting his body for some reason or like besides being a great actor Steve is like both like he's kind of like he's so talented and he's kind of like aging extremely well is kind of sexy he's like but he's super dorky dad yeah yeah like did you have a good time yeah she had a great time we got to talk to Angelina Jolie and talk to Jennifer Aniston right after oh my god which side are you look I'm not like like huh it's not like hobnobbing with famous people it's like what the is going on I would say I'm always trying to tell him he's like an icon and he said he visited a college campus with this kid he was like I'm surprised like people running up to me and like it's like Steve you're like like a sex icon [Laughter] no seriously they're like I'm sure people like their the memes online like there's like the like age like a fine wine like you said or they'll have anyway I don't think means about you online - okay I don't know if you're old enough to look at them yet yes what lessons have you learned from each other during the filming uh what I don't know if it was a lesson but I'd already I learned that he is everything you'd hope he'd be he's truly he's like he is he yeah whoo no I you know he came in that first day and I met him and I thought this is just a great guy obviously a fantastically talented actor but beyond that you know just being smart and funny and likeable and he is dying over here but I mean that honestly that was my biggest takeaway just in terms of of him he's a really gracious soul and easy easy to love him as a son so so what did you take away this is gonna follow me everywhere trash him timothei just go right it's got this really cool pair of shoes and no let me I mean Steve's an incredible actor I was a fan I've said that before so I just being opposite him working with him I feel like there was things consciously unconsciously I took but really the biggest was like his professionalism the way he carries himself as a human as a man and I'm one of the first rides we had to set and one of those carrier vans summit is that right I'm sorry I'm sorry the first rides to descend like a in a van we all got out the van and Steve waited for everyone to get out and he helped them out one by one like people with her work bags and then he shut the door my nan and I was like okay all right like I'm gonna take that from and certainly now that's uh that is something I do I do that the corral that's what it's called Corral help is it getting easier for you to go to these award shows now no it's nerve red this is all nerve-racking honestly but in a good way I'm very grateful for all of it but um you know it's just a surreal thing to you I've been looking up to everyone in these rooms basically my whole life so it's a weird thing to be you know there yeah and well you deserve to be there you're one of those people now that everybody is looking up to you seriously but I'm just kind of getting used to doing these events you do think a QA look like I was the New York Film Festival you know this is my hometown I was so happy to be here and there's a Q&A after the movie it's well received and I'm sitting in the chair for the QA and then a gravitational force comes out of nowhere and knocks me out of the chair and I fall back and I haven't know that's I know gonna rap post anyway is that true I yes I do have a rap past but it's like wrapping presents is my I don't know dude I don't know how to describe it like I'm sewing in a chair and I think you're like leaning back like rocking and then you just went like it was but I will say let me say there was a girl in the audience that I was like super psyched for her because I would say to you before I say this to anybody there was a girl in the audience that night I was super psyched was there happened everything he's done in such a short time I'm incredibly proud you know and he's a wonderful actor but he's also an excellent son I mean he brought me later I paid her to say this you know well hopefully she's not watching tonight because I have a clip of that exact cute [Applause] nice recovery it's all about the recovery let's say I was sitting in this chair right now watch the Great British Bake Off my wife and I love today yeah I think we watched the finale of the last season I don't know if we've done is there new seasons going right now Wow I meant that entirely sarcastic no we're in New York so in it my wife turned me on to it anyway we don't have perfect it is it is like a Zen show it's fantastic I'm gonna get into this it's really good Emma Stone said you can go out to party with them to party with them afterwards okay last year sister you made the car no I no no I I'm trying to get the whole fam get everything and I don't wanna I tend to bring negativity but um that's why we needed Oprah here to wash some of them and I can't believe I'm Oprah did you meet Oprah I did I met her backstage she has the softest hands in the world just and he's Michael Scott he's the office yeah did he know that you were a huge fan cuz I know you were family oh no he didn't I'm like I like 80% of my time with people that I've looked up to I'm just like trying not to reveal it like right now well you just revealed it yes um okay um I don't remember this but we were rehearsing and 12 year old and they came in and was really really excited to meet Steve and it was just I was gonna impersonate it but I won't but it was just what you got to do it yeah kids actually we just came in anyway Michael Scott it was I said this to the tellers remember I was like that is what I wanted to say or do when I met him but I felt like I had to act like cool or something so oh that's quite I'm sorry but answer the question what's the plan for the Oscars who are you bringing with you know my family I know my mom my dad my sister who sits next to you in that coffee making them have a competition to ingratiate themselves ya know like King Lear or something like make them perform something you will deem yeah you're right yeah you gotta bring your money you gotta let your mom is like listen uh I think everybody is I mean we all literally would not be here without our mothers yes it's the one area which nobody's gonna tweet about the ink ubs are not gonna be a problem for you don't worry you're waiting in line outside you saw Jessica Chastain and now
