Timeline of Remuria - Remus' Fallen Dream (Genshin Impact Lore)

[Music] hello everyone and welcome to another genin lore video today I'll be going over the complete timeline of rura starting all the way back in reis's time and ending in the present day this lore is given to us through a variety of artifact sets weapons books and so much more also this video does contain spoilers for The Quest that sit on screen now so if you haven't done those you have been warned anyways let's move right on and get into the [Music] video Our Story begins thousands of years ago back when Fontaine had no God to rule over its Waters while aeria was alive at this time she was imprisoned within the primordial sea due to her original sin this sin was using water from the primordial sea to turn oids into a new race of humans which Celestia did not allow with no God to rule over them Humanity began to CET that which belonged to Celestia as punishment their cities would be destroyed by tsunamis and 100 days of rainfall forcing them to start all over again this cycle would continue for quite a long time so long in fact that gbad and suu Rose and fell before it ended speaking of sumeru that's where the god king of Ria Remis actually hails from in his homeland he was a singer of the oases which definitely fits the theme of his yet to be established Kingdom however when king desit conquered his homeland Remis refused to serve him deciding instead to leave suu altogether he would travel North to the high seas of Fontaine initially seeking a place to die instead he accidentally discovered the ruins of a forgotten city that was even older than the high seas themselves he would also find the city's only surviving inhabitants who were known as the golden bees one of these golden bees was sabila a former Envoy tasked with guarding the manl Tre of the area she told Remis that he was destined to come to this place and that it was all part of a prophecy it was said that he would create a new prosperous and thriving Nation but that this nation's desire for justice would inevitably lead to its downfall but grudgingly Remis accepted his role in this prophecy and began to follow his Destiny at that moment the IR sultry would turn into a golden ship which later came to be known as the Fortuna the word Fortuna would also be used by rans as another term for fate anyways Remis would use the ship to establish the Empire of rria over the waters hoping to bring peace and prosperity to Fontaine Remis would work hard to help a civilization grow helping his people with a variety of tasks he taught them about agricult culture how to construct giant cities and temples and showed them the beauty of music and art music was especially important to his civilization and would become quite common in this Golden Era of Fontaine dreaming of a harmonious enlightened civilization for all of Fontaine Remis would use the Fortuna to call other tribes to join the Empire of rura while many did end up joining some refused the god King's invitation as such Remis would send his armies to conquer these tribes by force one of these tribes was the kingdom of Aram Mora where both aronas and cidor hiled from these two would both end up being important figures in R's history though they ended up on different sides arus would oppose Remis and follow aeria while cidor would join Remis eventually becoming a harmos the harmos were specially chosen by Remis to receive some of his power and help rule over his cities there were a total of four haros those being bethus cidor eugeria and Aurelius for a time things seemed to be flourishing but Remis still worried about the future and the prophecy told to him by sabila unlike Remis sabila firmly believed that the rise and fall of civilizations was the law of fortuna or fate and that it could not be overturned however she still decided to help Remis she told him that aeria was imprisoned deep in the depths of the primordial sea and that he should ask her for a solution as such Remis immediately went down to the primordial sea to meet with aeria while down here he would meet Sila The Dragon King who guarded aer's prison upon seeing Remis Sila attacked him and they fought for 30 days and 30 nights after both of them were exhausted Remis was finally able to explain his reasons for being there Sila was amused by his feudal dream of overturning fate but he still granted Remis passage to visit aeria unfortunately though this meeting with Aira yielded no results for the god king she explained that fontaine's fate was sealed by her original sin of creating new life which I mentioned earlier she would also give him a goblet of primordial seawater which he promised to use to create a world of endless Prosperity one without conflict Remis left disappointed but undeterred as he actually earned himself an ally despite his Amusement Sila was intrigued by reis's ideals and left the primordial sea to join his cause as well after returning to the surface Remis still wanted to avert the prophecy and overturn Fortuna's control over Humanity by combining his powers with sail's wisdom he began developing his Grand Symphony Phobos at the same time he would Grant his people eternal life by mixing the primordial seawater given to him by aeria with an immortal Stone this resulted in the creation of a golden ior which allowed Remis to dissolve people's physical bodies while containing their souls and Minds after this he would transfer them into undying Golems allowing them to live forever these rans soon became known as ascended rans these ascended rans were also attuned to the Grand Symphony which told them the course they should take for a harmonious future it was believed by Remis and his people that the grand Symphony would one day be able to take control of fortuna itself o Humanity to take charge of their own Fates and obtain Free Will additionally Remis would take his massive ship and use it to create the domus Ora a giant heart from which the grand Symphony Vera would be played however it didn't take long for these plans to fall apart due to them no longer having mortal lifespans or perishable bodies the ascended rans began to think of themselves as Superior to all other humans they even went as far as to believe that non- rians were in inferior entities who could not even be considered as humans this was made worse by the fact that sabila had used her own life to create Phobos meaning it inherited her desire to make all humans happy while this sounds nice the problem is that sabila did not have a Persona or will of her own as such Phobos adopted the self-centered ideas and biases of ascended raran instead of the ideas Remis truly wanted for his people Phobos would then begin to satisfy the selfish and destructive desires of the ascended rans leading to them Waging War against lock folk Bishops and other human civilizations since they heard these instructions from the grand Symphony they believed it to be reis's will at the same time other rans became unable to hear the grand Symphony at all causing them to panic many of them relied on it in their everyday lives and without it they didn't know what to do outside of rura resentment would build up against the empire as a result of their selfish and destructive Tendencies this resentment was felt especially in tribes that worshiped aeria and the oceanids including aramor and their allies soon enough a resistance group known as the loch Knights would be formed these log Knights were led by none other than arus of aramor who wished to fight back against Remis and his hosts on the other side the haros buus and his followers continued to listen to the will of Phobos believing that the path to 's Ideal World in a free Humanity meant subjugating all non-romans as such chaos quickly spread throughout the lands of Fontaine soon Remis became aware of the problems with Phobos and decided that it would be best to put an end to the very Symphony he created as such he set up a plan that would allow him to destroy Phobos once and for all as a fail safe for this plan he separated the haros cidor from the symphony allowing him to act on his own free will unbeknown to cador though Remis also conspired With The Dragon King Sila to destroy the grand Symphony entirely he entrusted Sila with his final Symphony the requium the requium was essentially the grand Symphony self-destruction order and in order to activate it Remis would have to sacrifice his life the plan was that Remis would unleash the Ream's power while s would enter D Oria to control the massive amount of primordial energy that would be Unleashed using this energy Sila would be able to destroy Phobos and return all rans to their original forms of Flesh and Blood however they felt that Sila entering domus Ora like this could arouse suspicion about his true purpose for being there as such it was agreed between Remis and Sila that the latter would pretend to betray Ria he was to lead a group of Barbarians and Bishops in an invasion against the capital city where Remis would activate the requium and Sila could control its flow the plan seemed quite solid but unfortunately for them Phobos quickly learned of this plan by this point Phobos had also devoured boethus using the harmos as its puppet Phobos as boethus saw this plan as a betrayal of reis's original goal and intended to put a stop to it when Sila arrived with his army of Barbarians and vops bethus would lure them all into a trap he would then seal Sila at anisham miani using the golden ior and he would remain sealed there for thousands of years seeing this Remis instructed his people to stop fighting and instead seek a peaceful conclusion to the conflict however this order was quickly rejected by bethus and his followers it is assumed that Remis activated the requium shortly after this sacrificing his life in an attempt to destroy Phobos with Sila sealed Away by bethus though no one could control the Raging Waves of primordial energy brought about by this final Symphony as such everyone within rura would be caught in the destructive wave of energy and the entire nation would sink underwater in an instant despite rura falling below the water both bethus and cidor would survive Sila would also survive the Calamity but remained trapped within his seal sometime after Aria's fall boethus gathered remnants of Aria and established the golden troop planning to revive rura and Phobos at the same time cidor would take up the moniker of mar Jose Hunter and led his own followers against the golden troop the two groups would soon engage in battle with cidor successfully shattering boas's soul in the fight the shards of his soul would then be sealed with Indus Ora however this would still not be the end of the story in the present day Phobos would reawaken and attempt to restart the grand Symphony when the traveler and Pimon arrived in Petra cor they saw that all of its people were affected by the Sy in's power with the exception of someone named esta at the same time cidor would reawaken and possess the body of a cat named AI throughout the canticles of Harmony World quest series we meet cidor and work with him to stop Phobos who is still using beus as a puppet The Traveler also proves to have a particular affinity for reis's lingering power with them having dreams that show his memories during the final days of rura now the group would eventually travel into area where they would find Sila still sealed above the initium Yani by breaking the three chains of the seal the dragon king would finally be freed of his prison after thousands of years by this point he has lost his original body only retaining a body made of ior fortunately though this body still contained The Power of reis's requium after a few more trials and puzzles the group manages to make it into domus Ora and face off against Phobos for the final time with the help from cidor we are able to defeat Phobos and make it to the top level of domus Ora once here the traveler and Sila perform reis's requium fulfilling the god King's final wish Phobos would be destroyed once and for all allowing The Souls of alliver murans Trapped in the golden Symphony to finally be freed cassador and breus get to move on as well returning back to the high seas with everyone else in the future they can now be reborn as Mortals once again we would then all return to petor where we find that the people here have also been freed from phobos's influence since cidor moved on AI is now just a normal cat and is taken care of by esta who I mentioned earlier Sila then expresses his desire to meet the new Hydra Sovereign at a later point that of course being nalet he also makes the traveler promise to visit him as all s and rura have finally returned to the high seas with this Sila would return back to rura and the story of this ancient civilization would finally come to an end anyways that's pretty much it for the lore of the Fallen Nation of Ria while I wish there was more to explore down here Ria's lore was still a lot of fun to talk about if you want more lore about Ria
