The Story of a Moving House All timelapse to completion How would I live if a house moves I started to make a truck camper to discover tomorrow which nobody knows Please share this ramble with me First step is making camper foundation with 2*4 timber Install heat insulation on the floor with Z shape metal plates Done!! 12mm plywood boards for flooring Next make the walls with 3*4 timber I didn't make any plan so I assemble them off the cuff It takes a lot of time to think and fix them, but I enjoyed the process I repeat making and fixing as I go I decide to use caster to lift it onto the truck. It's easy to load and unload It makes them easy for making procedure I install 6 casters It's a little funny Sometimes there was a disaster The frame and floor were damaged in the rain It's so hartbreaking..... I need a roof for my workspace I have to change my mind. I'll make flooring again I gave it a coat of urethane paint for water proofing I reinforce the frame I replace broken parts and rebuild walls Use a diagonal beam for sturdiness I finally reassemble it and I can imagine the shape of a house Next is making roof I roughly assemble it but it's distorted. I should fix it I'll make a awning above the door for exterior design The main frames is done Next process is making window frame I'll make a big window to see lots of scenery And an inspection window from the driver's seat Install the entry door frame It's cozy! Insulating the walls I have to install it accurately so heat won't escape There are so many wall spaces. it's repetitive work Insulationg the roof too Done!! Sealing with water proof tape Cover with water proof sheet too I just learnt by watching others how to do it. I hope it will be good Next is setting cladding the walls I'll use dressed wall-board Suspending threads are markers for nailing I can kepp working ofter dark because it's super fun!! It's getting darker and darker but I'm going to paint!! I should stop! LOL Next morning, I give it a second coat The other side, same as yesterday I'm getting used to it, it gets quicker I'll do the entrance side too It gradually looks like a house as I keep painting Lining the eaves More painting Lining the walls with 3mm ply Oh! shit!! Stepped on ply!!! It doesn't break. Thank heavens! the narrow space divers me, body and soul This is the final side, Stick with it!! Finally!! I'm sooooo exhausted....... Next is The roof panel I used aluminum compound board for the roof panels I can screw it directly Finally I'm peeling off the vinyl cover And caulking the roof with silicon I did a better job than I expected Caukling the space between the wall and the roof The roof is complete!! Finishing of the ceiling And the rear side wall too Materials are running out... so I so patchwork with left-over timber. LOL Using different timber for the entrance wall Done!! the Entrance wall is accented by walnut color The rear wall is black Painting inside Using masking tape. I'm not good at this This is my first time using a sponge brush Oh! It's easy!! I struggled with chosing a color. Let's go with white! Finishing the second coat Yep, it looks like a house!! I finished cladding the outside. Next is masking to caulking them I dislike repetitive work. I was on a diet and didn't have enough willpower. LOL After masking, Caulking and extending them with scraper Finish it all!! Next, setting the L shape aluminium on the edge of roof and wall I could nail it directly Appling the water proof tape on the gaps Next, I'm making the entrance door with old timber I'm a little bit scared because this is the first time to use a router Old timber often has old nails. Getting rid of them with a chisel Setting a 5mm acrylic board into the groove Next is installing hinges My first installment of a handle. I don't know the inside structure of it It has a key, so I can sleep safely Done! I love this big door, just as I expected Installing the door jambs The door looks fragile so I reinforce it Making the big window is super difficult. I made so many mistakes. Try to set an acrylic board into the groove but it isn't suitable..... I mistakenly ordered a too large acrylic board This is the second go. Is it good? Installation of the window makes me so exhausted, Body and soul.... I hope it will be good!!! Failure LOL This is the third time...LOL I decide to cut the acrylic board I worry about this procedure but it's easer I thought There is no more space so I choose wider framing to be more sturdy Also, I changed the framing structures to be strong This is the third time! I will cry if it's still wrong Hooray!! I got it!! Install the door jamb on the window too OH! It's goood! Painting the door and the window the as same as walls After cleaning up, Complete! Next, Making interior. First task is a shelf Using used scaffolding board. It looks cool! Table depth is 30cm Hight is 70cm. a little bit low but..... Install the shelf on the upper side Oh! It gradually looks like a house I finished making the shelf as my first inside job Next is a sink. Using a old cake mold The sink sticks out as an L shape Cutting the board to fit the sink with an electric jigsaw I can cut well!! Next is the drain. Installing the parts Using a touch sensitive tap Cut the board into circle to fix the tap Finally I can use tap water in my home!! I'm making cabinet doors This part is wall I made the first cabinet door It needs sophisticated work. Super hard!!!!! I adjusted them again and again, I eventually install the second cabinet door! This is "BLISS OUT TIME" "BLISS OUT TIME" is my routine when I finish something. LOL BLISS OUT BLISS OUT Making the acrylic inspection window Cutting the aluminium frame accurately Done! Next, Cutting an acrylic board for a window Using acrylic glue Done! it slides well Finally, nailing the aluminium frame Caulking into fine cracks. I should use a specialist caulking but I didn't have Caulking carefully to protect from rain leaks Installing the small metal parts to fasten it to the truck Making a window screen too Let's check for rain leaks OMG, Leaking from the inspection window. It need to be caulked again.... Later, Painting and caulking again I hope I fixed the leaks Caulking inside too Install a gutter to divert water flow I'm a little bit worried using a grinder because this is my first time The result is.......... What shall I do if it doesn't stop leaks!! I splash so much Oh, Water flow has changed!! OH YES!!!! There's no leaking. Hooray! I finally got it!!! Woohoooooo! LOL Next, Installing the solar panel It is so stubborn, It doesn't work Testing the solar panel. It works Check a lot of parts, I find the problem cable, and it's back-to-front Eventually it works!! Let's load it on the truck Set the solar panel with magnets but they are so weak. I'll fix them later How about the solar panel??? It's OK!! LOL Running the cable into the house Finally, making the roll curtain I love the sound of cutting canvas Fixing it with pins and double sided tape Setting the hook. It's done! Bloody good!! Installing it on entrance door too Bloody goooood!! Inspection window too Bloody gooooooooood!!! I made the truck camper! Let's go on a trip Hooray! Finally I can stay in the truck camper!!
