all right thug life was good what good was good you know we've already interviewed mopreme so clearly you know we've already talked about his relationship with with POC and you know how they grew up together but how did you guys end up hooking up with Tupac originally I meant to park through my homeboy Serge white Ernie was like parks manager at the time and Serge and white Annie's cousin so Serge bring him to the hood and he met the realest you know okay and what hood was this Inglewood angle in your world la yeah okay yes man you know and me I actually met popped through Coolio me and my boy raided or shout out to my boy rated or locked up right now start reading all right at all yeah no doubt you know we had a group called double jeopardy and actually Coolio was working with us at the time so you know it was like a dream come true one day he told us just to meet him at the hotel he had a surprise for us so we end up going to the hotel over there across the street from the comedy store in Hollywood and we knocked on the door and first person come to the door stretch from Naughty by Nature you know I mean so we walk into this room we got trench in the room [ __ ] on it room we look in the corner it's two pot sitting in the corner right so we ended up kicking it that day we you know start rapping and had a cool little cypher going on and next thing you know pox litters this number told us to get at him next day we called him who's out his house in the valley he told us about doing this group called thug life we said yeah we down to do that we end up going to San Diego within the next day that money was in the studio doing a song with him and it happened overnight like that so that's how we met pop you know so so thug life as a group like was formed in like 24 hours I mean we'll know I'm not exactly I won't say that but the sample I was that part here for Asami and rated-r baby okay I mean okay solo so explain to me how thug life came together as a group well I don't know everybody Park until they own the story but when I'm that Park I was already I already had a project I had my own record label and when I met him he came to my video and a bunch of little stuff so I was already in the mix of thing so he said he's going to start this thing called thug life so me and him went to the studio and we did the song called thug life and then I had a mean raided and Mac I had already met Moe from previous encounters just hanging out with pop and it kind of went like that you know to be honest the way I've been man pop hand-picked all of us bro he had a vision of doing this group called thug life and he basically hand-picked everybody and put us all together as a group you know what I mean and that's how I really got okay so how long was it until you know from the moment that you know you guys met him to the point where thug life became an official group like how much time had passed it was never really a group it was just some cash that was put together you know it was a I never really seen it as a group because like I said he was already in the group I was already in the group Moe was in the group you know everybody was already in like group so it was just kind of combination of everything an original thug life album didn't is not the album that came out the original thug life album got a Richie Rich on him that's where you know some of the songs came off like how were they how long were they more on me with Nate Dogg all - some of those songs was on the original thug life either like I'm losing it was on the original thug life I was a bunch of songs that was on there originally I thought that Interscope in the endoscope didn't want to be a part of it at first okay pop forced it on them by screaming it and doing it doing it himself and let me also get some shots out for real dope too man man and babes because it wouldn't be no thug life album and my surely it wouldn't be no thug life album if it wasn't for man man in bags because they didn't want to put up the bread okay and also what was going on that no one heard got to hear that original and its original form because if people remember at the time there was censorship issues going on see Delores Tucker yeah they were going against going after everybody body-count us was a to Live Crew you know sorry right we had to water down every time okay so so let just just so I get the timeline correct uh Tupac dropped his first album right to park listener to Apocalypse Now yeah and then the the strictly album careful my [ __ ] was a second album right thug life thug life okay me against the world and I guess the more than metal so you guys were right there between strictly and mr. Weller plan and I get around was on Strictly yeah yeah okay that was that was the big song right yeah the game that's what kind of blue Park up - yeah that singles act but let me state this though for the timeline when Tupac did strictly for my [ __ ] and what he did to populous now pop didn't had a tantrum i'ma rag on his head and he wasn't showing that thug life tat that didn't come so basically what I'm saying is the POC that every division of pocket you close your eyes and see pop and ask somebody to vision an image of pop they're gonna always see that image of the guy with the answer mama rag on his head shirt off and so on his Tupac cat that came when he got with thug life so the person and the image that the world really fell in love with and embraced to this day came from the thug life era so at what point did the Tupac get the thug life tattoo across the stomach what he started this group when we got this group going when we got hit when he got the tattoo he came to my all the same night he got the tattoo came to my homeboy house and I was after we did the song you feel what I'm saying so I mean you know people could say what they want to but the truth is you know la la in California living man especially in their leg you know the home where the gangbangers and all that you know it was a big influence on power doubt no doubt no doubt big influence on so I don't know I don't I don't I don't know where thug life existed before cuz I was I was on some evil mind stuff so but you know I dug like when it was just like the perfect word and the perfect example for what was going on and what we was livin bro what glammo we're early on back in why we were doing the strictly album you know we pocket also came up with 50 [ __ ] and that's what we was working on first and 15 IgG is kind of morphed in to thug life cuz we had some of the same principles you know and Doug life was more inclusive in it was a better idea so that's what you know decided to smash it right and far as the image that brought this to me and my boy ready door shattering out of getting a runner man to rate it me and ready took pop to the Slauson swap meet and when we did the interview with Fab Five Freddy and we had on those Dickie overalls and a thug life stitched on it in the front and the thug life beatings with thug life on it that was me and running it took pop to the swap meet and we was all gonna swap meet getting this gear and this image and creating this image of hot thug life was going to be presented to the world with is when I'm saying this because there was LA in the West Coast is to think of our elective that image is already it's a gangbangers image you feel what I'm saying the images a gangbang is image that tattoo across the stomach right as gangbangers in LA been doing that from day one you feel what I'm saying so even though the you know just the whole image was a street image so by you represent the streets you got to give what the streets is what's going on in the streets and presented to the world and that's what he did you know right so you guys were affiliated with which gang I was with villi ated with some real gangs okay yeah Chris I mean don't even matter what I was see because I this is what I learned this is what I learned this is what I really learned about life don't matter if you're crippled or blood see it's us against the system you feel what I'm saying so it's everybody against us so I don't promote my hood okay because in the reason I and the reason I say is because there's so many rappers now you know that's blood and they they're yellow [ __ ] and blood but I got homies and really cares to me streets really die behind that so that ain't that ain't nothing to play with the rags you'll never see me with a blue rag on my head you'll never see me with a red rag on my head and I'm really from a hood you know I went to jail at 15 for you know doing some things that I wasn't supposed to do because I was serious about it so when it comes down to the gang thing so I don't you know I don't touch on where I'm from I feel I'm saying because the media would love to run with that but if you add some cash from the streets they tell you as far as well as far as me man anybody that know Mac of doses know that I'm a hustler you feel me and I'm in the streets and I [ __ ] with everybody from Bloods the Crips Eastside Westside Compton watts in wood I'm everywhere and I and I get love everywhere so realtor young young coming up I grew up in the crib hood and coming up you know I just recognize that gang banging it basically it stops you from being able to deal with a lot of people and I wanted to young know I knew I wanted to deal with a lot of people I wanted to get love everywhere you did I'm saying so when you banging your certain hood you can't go to your you can't go you did what I'm saying cancer individuals you can't talk to come at me in certain individuals you can't do business with you you know I mean I'm trying to do business with anybody is trying to get money you feel me so so that and also I just didn't see the sense in me killing a [ __ ] over color I just didn't see that you did what I'm saying we're not the doctors just doing it well let me go into that state get this all this is something like me personally go that's me let me say you say something about gang bang see number one a lot of cats didn't want hang bang because you got to choose you got to choose you feel what I'm saying and when you choose that you got to ride it to your death you know I'm saying the same way thug life is once you choose it you gotta ride it to your death so no matter the consequences that come with it you got to ride with it and a lot of cats don't want that you feeling I'm saying they don't want that because one day you're going to be by yourself you're gonna be with some cats that is going to be some problems with so that's why I try to get to these young rappers now you can tell like to me representing everybody well you when you start representing just show hood you got it's Custer if you really are from a hood it's catch that then killed from your hood and it killed somebody some people from other hoods and killed yo homies right and and if you keep a motive net or you creating is more of a problem that I - that's what I think you know the world found attractive about thug life because we were more inclusive you know because it's about the economics and the poor broke disenfranchised abuse come with no matter black white whatever if you are limb streets you know yes you're relate to what we roses we're talking about if you are met Khloe Kardashian yeah lunch yeah lovely go yeah there's a room with it until you hooked up is it yeah [ __ ] on Shawn anybody now it's not true nah cuz it was supposed to be in Australia I don't know then God is a man or woman but I definitely know that [ __ ] is the devil for sure why so why so she destroyed lives Oh
