THROWING OUT EVERYTHING I OWN BEFORE 2024 (decluttering, organising & cleaning my ENTIRE apartment)

guys it is officially 3 weeks until 2024 and I am in the mood to get rid of everything I [Music] own okay obviously I'm not going to throw out everything I earn that is so dramatic but I am in the mood to declutter my entire apartment I have accumulated so much stuff my drawers are filled cupboards are overflowing I just own so many things that I don't think me anymore and I want to go into the new year clutter free when my space is cluttered my mind feels cluttered and that's just not the energy that I want to take into 2024 so we are going to pull this whole apartment apart I want to go through my clothes I want to go through my drawers every single room of this apartment we are going to declutter and organize together aren't you so excited that you get to help me with this because I am so overwhelmed I cannot do this myself so let's go ahead and start I'm thinking we start with the lounge room because the office feels extremely overwhelming to do to be completely honest there's actually not a lot of organizing that we need to do in the lounge room the main thing we have are these two drawers here they are filled well to be honest I don't even know what they're filled with so let's go through these the hardest part about doing this right now is that the Christmas decorations are off but we will work around them T the season okay let's go through these two oh well all right so this drawer looks like it's just filled with a bunch of cords I think this is my DS this is really an electronic drawer I think I want to keep it that way but I don't want to keep it like this what even is this two batteries in a container this is the exact kind of thing I don't want to take into the new year do you know what I mean okay this one's not too bad it's full of games we could probably get rid of some of these games though because we definitely don't play them all let's empty them out go through it all and figure it out from [Music] there all right this is everything from the first drawer I'm already seeing stuff that we don't need to keep for instance this piece of wood like why why this old SIM card another piece of wood an old iPhone let's figure out what we want to keep what we want to delete and then we'll organize it back into the [Music] drawer guys K and I can't figure out what this is there's two of them and they were in this electronic draw so I'm assuming they were for the electronics it looks like acid tabs or something I think we can get rid of them okay this is the stuff we're going to keep and put back into that drawer I don't really want to keep them in these containers but this is all we have right now so we're just going to work with that this is stuff we're going to keep but I don't want to keep in that drawer and then this is everything that we are getting rid of this looks so much [Music] better to be honest most of these games I want to keep because they're for the Wii and it's so fun to have throwback games nights playing Guitar Hero Just Dance Mario Kart all that kind of stuff but I think I can get rid of Just Dance Disney Party I just cannot see myself playing this actually I can see myself playing this if I was very drunk but I also have two other Just Dance discs so I think I can get rid of this one we also have this Top Gun DVD I think K's dad lent this to us so we can definitely give this back we do not need to be owning DVDs or having DVDs in this household in 2023 we also have this Lego box I'm not sure if C wants to keep this and I'm sure this 3mon membership has definitely expired so we can get rid of this and this receipt for the switch cuz we got this 2 years ago oh no the wipe went behind the drawer oh wait I can get it thank God [Music] all right next we're going to work on the bedroom the problem with our bedroom is that it just really becomes a Dumping Ground for everything that we don't know where to put because it's out of sight out of mine let me show you thank God I made the bed this is our bedroom you can already see we have stuff on our bedside tables K has an amp in here there's clothes on the ground there's clothes on the wall the main problem area are behind the door this always gets cluttered with just stuff because we typically leave this door open so when it's behind here we don't see it and then this area over here the same thing happens I think Kell has some music stuff down here I don't even know what's in those drawers and I know the purpose of this is to have some sort of decoration on it but what's on it right now just does not look good it looks so cluttered this is my side of the bed and I always end up with stuff on the ground here so when I get out of bed I'm always tripping over so I really want to clear this space up so have a nice walkway oh my gosh I'm trying to put this blind up and it's not working for me right now try now let's go let's go let's go no that's down hey slay I always forget that this is actually a window wow there's so much light in here wow it actually looks so much bigger in here with this open we always keep this blind down just to help separate the bedroom from the rest of the apartment but this looks crazy yeah if this was decorated nicely we could definitely leave that blind up more often but it's kind of giving spare room teenage boy or like young adult Boy energy right now it's not giving what it needs to give anyway I'm going to start with my bedside table K's going to do his as well and then we will keep going God I don't even know what's in my bedside table oh yeah that's not good that is not cute at all guys this is the painting that Harriet did me for my 28th birthday do you love [Music] it all right this is everything that is going to stay in or on the bedside table this is everything that I'm going to keep but it needs to go somewhere else and then this is rubbish I'm going to quickly wipe down my bedside table because it is so dusty K is such a boy in his bedside table he has sunglasses a Tech Deck nasal spray AFL membership card why do you have Ray bands on your bedside table you never know ideally this this is the only thing that will live behind our bedroom door but I need to clear out what's behind there first so I'm just going to move this into the Lou room for now I'm just going to take everything off this shelf it definitely needs a wipe down like if I run my finger across look how dusty it is it's actually disgusting we also have our oodies hung up here I'm going to take them down as well I don't really know what to do with them but we'll figure it [Music] out [Music] I wear my dressing gown basically every single day and it's just been living on the ground next to my bed as you saw so I think I'm going to hang it up here on this hook where our oodies were because we don't really wear our udies very often it is going into summer as well so this can live here it's not the cutest but it's practical and it gets it off the ground now to go through all of [Music] this all right this is the stuff that we're going to to donate I have so many books that I've read or the ones that I haven't read I know I'm just going to read on my Kindle so I'm going to donate all of this love the John lenon doll and then this is the stuff that we're going to keep but we don't exactly know where it's going to go I'm going to put the Jenga in that drawer that we organized before that had the games in it but the rest of this stuff I'm going to put in a different place these books I might put back on here I'm not 100% sure but I know that we're getting rid of this stuff he we're making so much progress I'm so happy I have no idea what's in these cupboards so here there goes nothing oh my gosh all right let's go through this some photos I think these are all scanned in I'll double check but I don't want to keep physical photos because I just don't passports Journal this is from 2022 aka the worst year of my life I do not need to remember any of this stickers that I got printed for my drink bottle the stickers I want to keep I'm going to put on my snowboards so I'm going to put this with our snowboards which are actually behind the door that I need to deal with oh my my gosh guys this is our folder from when we moved to Canada but also from when we moved back it has a $5 Canadian note in there this is crazy it has all of our documents from when we got released from hotel quarantine I actually want to keep this we have a memories tub where we keep everything sentimental that we want to keep so I'm going to pop that in there look at this old MacBook we have to keep this this is Cal's this is crazy honestly so ion it you could use a wipe down though she L it okay that wasn't that bad definitely needs a wipe down okay I'm just going to put the picnic basket K's old MacBook and the photo frames in here for now this looks so much better I can't believe how much stuff we had in here before that didn't need to be in [Music] here this is absolute chaos right now but we are making so much progress Kyle's wardrobe is basically empty and there's this massive pile that he's going to donate so now we just need to get all of this or what's staying of it back in [Music] there guys the bedroom looks so freaking good I usually hate this room and never want to come in here cuz it's so cluttered it feels dark and messy but now I love it so much H's cupboard oh my God he really popped off it looks so organized everything has a spot we do want to do a little bit more organizing up the top but we'll do that another day we're just trying to focus on getting stuff out that we don't need anymore but now this has happened our Lounge room is just filled with everything that doesn't belong in the bedroom anymore this pile over here is stuff we're getting rid of this pile in front of me is all of C's clothes that he wants to donate and then the rest of it just is what it is I I don't even know it's stuff that needs to go somewhere else that's not the bedroom I think what I'm going to do is organize all of this stuff or at least get it into its place or the room that I'm going to keep it in and then we're going to go and do the bathroom okay guys we are now going to do the bathroom I'm hoping I can smash this out in like an hour because I only have these drawers this basket and then the shelves that are in this cupboard and I guess these shelves here too but overall we don't have a lot of stuff that we have to go through so let's smash through this I want to start with these cupboards so in here we have these three shelves and as you can see they are pretty cluttered so I'd love to get this under control I mean look how many loving tan bottles there are up here don't get me wrong I absolutely love loving tan obviously but why do I have so many bottles up there and I can tell that they're all open so I can definitely condense that down and I just reckon there's a bunch of stuff in here that's nearly empty or is empty so let's start with this and then we can look at what's in the drawers and what's in that basket so this is everything that's off those shelves I just realized I should also get everything out of these drawers and just make one big pile and then go through the pile and figure out where I want to put everything because what if I went through this pile filled up the shelves and then there was stuff in the drawer that I wanted the shelves or vice versa okay let's empty the drawers in the basket oh my gosh there's so much stuff in here [Music] what is in this box oh it's a loving tan box we have more I am so grateful to have gotten this in PR this one is PR to but man I have so much stuff I mean I'll get through it eventually I'm actually not wearing any Fay tan right now but I have a lot I have a lot to store we'll figure it out let's go through all of this stuff oh my my gosh it is so much more than I thought this is everything that I'm getting rid of guys it's either empty or expired or just rubbish we're making progress let's put everything in its new [Music] spot some of these products I know I'm not going to use and they're brand new so I put them in this little bag because I love to make gift baskets or hampers for people and I figure I can use these in them so I've just put them in here for now I'd love to get a tray or something because I usually collect a whole bunch and they just end up scattered in my bathroom but for now we have this so I think for this drawer I'm going to put all of our travel stuff we have little travel size containers of stuff that we use and also our travel bags as well so that's going to go in here I think I'll also put my period supplies and then K and I have one of these red light masks as well I think I'll just pop these in here [Music] too look how much better these shelves look I did end up keeping all the loving tan up there I was going to put it in one of these drawers but I figured I had all of the space and I'm going to end up using it at least I can see what I have you know what I mean but I love how these look I feel like it looks so aesthetic also completely forgot that I had a gacha and is it a jade roller definitely going to try and use these but this looks so pretty also look at the drawers so much less cluttered this has already made me feel so much less stressed I'm so happy that we did this it is 11:00 p.m. at night and every part of me wanted to just sit on the couch and keep watching Kardashians but I was like I want to do the bathroom I want to get that done so then we can take off land room bedroom and bathroom for today and we did and I'm so happy also this is not a hickey my psoriasis is coming back and usually my fake tank covers in anyway I'm going to peace out I'm going to get some rest and we will be back tomorrow for day two of throwing out every single thing that I own for 2024 or going through it you know what I mean okay guys the time has come to declutter the office I have been putting this off but it is time I Believe in Us there's also a thunderstorm happening right now so if you hear a loud boom sound you know what that means I feel like I don't know where to start I'm so overwhelmed by this I think the best way to do this is to do it section by section I reckon let's start with these drawers everything that's on the top I want to keep there so that's easy but these drawers this one is full of cords electronic up I think that's our hard drives so I want to go through all of this and see what we don't need to keep anymore this is similar to that drawer we had in the loung room and then this drawer okay it looks like we have some travel bags a tripod this busted ass ring light this can definitely go oh my god did you just hear that thunder so insane and then the rest of these drawers are closed this used to be folded so nicely I do have more clothes in my cupboard as well I'm torn on whether I want to go through that all at the same time maybe I should do condo situation just put all of my clothes on the ground see what sparks Joy not too sure but let's start with these top two [Music] drawers I just remembered I also keep a bunch of electronic stuff in this drawer next to my desk so I may as well go through this at the same time ideally I would like all of my electronics except for the hard drives to be in here okay this is everything that we're keeping and this is everything that we're getting rid of there was a bit of trial and error but guys I got everything to fit that was everything that was in this drawer and in that drawer that we decided to keep I am so happy about this because that means I can use that top drawer for clothes this is such a good day already we're making so much progress I'm going to put this stuff back in this top drawer over here and just have this drawer as camera tripod and travel bag storage [Music] a [Music] okay these drawers are done this is everything we're getting rid of now I want to do this desk and these drawers this area is meant to be a second desk for when K and I want to work in the office or when Harriet comes over to edit but it's also meant to be an art desk as well which is why you can see the easel and the canvas and then these drawers are meant to be for art supplies so let's go through whatever has ended up here like there's even Lego on here and this just does not belong here it can't be good to keep a broken mirror in your house I don't know if you can see there's this giant crack down the middle this is the exact energy we do not need to bring into 2024 like maybe this is the cause of all my bad luck like what the [Music] heck we never fully organized these drawers and it shows what the is this there's literally CDs in here a packet of mints sounds like there's about three left some paper a laptop stand this one doesn't even open oh my gosh all right let's get everything out oh my God there is a lot of art stuff to go [Music] through [Music] that took me so long to sort through I want to say that took me over an hour to get through that giant pile that was on the ground but now I've condensed it down to this that needs to go into these two drawers and in this cupboard I've put a bunch of Cal's work stuff up here here has a screen printing kit a button maker and some business cards and other business stuff and then I've put our canvases down here because before they were all up here and it was so cluttered and annoying so we're making good progress but let's put all of this in these drawers and then let's go through all of my [Music] clothes guys look how much better these drawers look there's even extra space I was not expecting that at all okay I think what I'm going to do is get everything out of these drawers and pop it on the ground and then go through that see what sparks Joys see what I want to get rid of I was thinking of getting everything out of the cupboard as well and putting it in one big pile on the ground but that just feels extremely overwhelming after doing that last pile so I'm going to start with these drawers I don't think I'm going to have too much to get rid of because to be honest I'm pretty good at going through my clothes all the time but you just never know and I'm ready to be brutal oh okay the really said hello it's literally been thunderstorming all day anyway I'm ready to be brutal if it's not cute it's not coming into 2023 24 oh my God I'm already living in the [Music] past all right guys let's get it I think what I'll do is I'll go through everything anything that's a no I'm going to throw over here towards the door and everything that's a yes I'm going to put behind me or to the side of me and I'm going to try and keep it in categories like jeans t-shirt crop tops skirts that kind of thing that way it it'll be easy put it all back in the drawer I also have another drawer now I'm so happy cuz my shirt drawer oh my gosh it was overflowing this top is so cute but it does not fit my boobs at all and I keep trying to make it work and it doesn't work so it can go to a new home it does not need to come into the new year I don't need a full year of trying to make that work again I'm also going to make an I don't know pile because I don't know is there a lipstick in this oh my God there's literally a lip balm in there I have had this jumpsuit for so many years I used to always wear this to a wedding or work event but it is screaming Millennial 2014 2017 16 Vibes and I just think it's time to let go you know I just cannot see myself wearing a denim skirt ever again I tried to make this work on the go co I don't think it's for me okay this is the pile of clothes I'm getting rid of honestly it's more than I thought there would be and then these are the piles I need to fold and put into the drawers [Music] look at this I have so much space in these drawers this one is half empty it just has shorts and skirts this one just has trackies yoga pants I think I might put some sweaters in here because there's so much hanging in there and it's overflowing so maybe I can move the sweaters that match these into here but I can't believe we still had room the stuff being thrown in there not folded correctly was really making it take up so much more space than it actually took I'm literally in shock right now but let's do the cupboard I'm so exhausted but let's do this let's get it done okay first things first I'm going to go through everything that's hanging up I'm not going to take it out I'm just going to flick through it and anything I don't want I'm going to pop on the ground and everything that I want to keep I'm I'm just going to keep it hanging [Music] off okay this is definitely a lot less cluttered next we need to go through these cubes that I have down here I have four on this side and then four on that side as well and they're full of socks underwear pajamas I guess bathers and then I have some loungewear here some shoes we just need to figure this out [Music] okay guys we are done I am so exhausted I've actually decided I'm going to skip the kitchen because I want to do a whole kitchen makeover in January so I feel like I should save the decluttering cleaning organizing all that stuff for that video let me know below if you'd be keen on seeing that but I'm so happy
