agencies involved finally finished their investigation and they released the body camera last week San Luis Obispo that's a weird name police there receive reports that a local business has been burgled they responded no bad guys were found so a report was taken evidence was gathered in the policeman on their merry way one piece of evidence that was gathered though was security camera footage 22 hours later another burglary of a business call came in that was only a couple blocks away from the first one same thing happened police responded no bad guy but there was more security footage when detectives were done with their four-hour lunch break at McDonald's They reviewed the footage and determined that the burgles were committed by the same man but they couldn't tell who he was terrorizing local businesses in this weird-ass named town and a couple days later he struck again then another time a couple of miles away from that one hmm enhance enhance enhance that's the same truck as the first two businesses that's four whole burgles in just a couple days this Menace needs to be stopped immediately one of the business owners is watching that footage and said hey I know that guy who used to work for me he was driving the truck to burgle the business that he drove to work every day he is so smart smrt after finding his address it was determined he lifts smack dab in the middle of every single burgle police looked up his history from what they could find as he had some little run-ins with police nothing serious their system also showed that he had a couple of welfare checks welfare checks is where a family member or neighbor or friend we'll call the police and say hey can you go check on Grandma you know I haven't heard from her in a couple weeks and the police officer goes and they open the door and it smells really bad because Grandma had been sitting in there in a recliner in the summer heat with no AC for two months and now she's people soup anyways he had a couple of welfare checks the past couple years from his friends and family worrying about him every time it turned out to be fine though in 2020 a family member did call and say hey I'm worried about him I think he might want to hurt police so pretty much all they could do was call him and he said no I don't want to hurt no police and it was over later that year another family member called and said they were worried about him having a gun but seeing as how he's not a felon they couldn't really go dumping into his apartment to take his weapons I beg to differ so nothing was done about that based on the information they had at hand still you should be very cautious but God I watched Diablo again on accident and oh God are the servers down oh that sucks man what if I wanted to play Diablo after filming this still though with the information that they have on hand with like possible mental illness possibly having firearms possibly Sandy wants to hurt police we're just gonna put our cautious hats on and go see what's happening police arrive to his place and what do they see out front that's right the same SUV he used in all four robberies with the he stole sitting inside for Plain View for the cops to see this is more than enough to retrieve a search warrant for the apartment they went to a judge judge signed off on the warrant and the cops wanting to settle matters peacefully called the suspect they don't want to go barging in there you know if they can just get in a walk out and be like yeah I burgled then why not he didn't pick up the phone so the next option is to go just knock on his door not kick his door in say hey we're out here we gotta search warrant he didn't want to answer the door so the landlord of the apartment complex gave the police officers a key the key doesn't work they tried to get the door open without smashing it but it came down to the last thing to do which is use the Rams Police Department search Warren open the door we're gonna force entry here on Edward giron Edward open the [Music] open Edward it's a police department opened the door [Music] foreign [Music] they rammed the door down and held their position in an attempt to call the suspect outside again being cautious why Rush inside when you can call him out maybe he's asleep detective been a Daddy who is in the front of the stack was trying to call the suspect out of the apartment the suspect popped out of nowhere with a 12-gauge shotgun shot detective been a daddy right in the face needless to say it instantly killed him it's blacked out right here because it's probably pretty graphic that was the police department blacking that out and I wouldn't show that anyways [Music] word come out here [Music] the other detectives Retreat to cover and the suspect walks out of the apartment continuing to shoot at police [Music] [Applause] he's got a gun he's shooting at us all you know it's all units the couple of shots you heard after that first initial shot the kill detective Ben and daddy that was the suspect shooting at officer Orozco he was running to cover behind his car when the suspect hit him in the arm he went down the suspect shot him again while he was on the ground hitting him in the head and that was still using the 12 gauge shotgun but Roscoe still got up and was able to get to cover you'll see that here in a minute not only do we have one dead police officer one injured police officer but the suspect has walked out onto the balcony in front of his his apartment and he has reached down and he has picked up detective Benedetti's Patrol rifle it's a nice kitted rifle that guy has now he's using that to shoot at police at this point the officer whose body camera we've been looking through is gonna be unfortunately the only angle that we get of this situation let's go back to him he radios in that shots were fired then makes his way back over to the other officers who are taking fire [Music] laughs he grabs his Patrol rifle out of the truck and backs up to try to get a better angle on the shooter who is still at the top of the stairs in front of his apartment when he has a clear shot he throws some hate downrange and then he retreats to a better position where he has some cover [Music] foreign [Music] [Music] [Music] thank you [Music] [Music] just to remind you all where bad guy is he's right about here so the officer we have been watching moves to a little better angle behind patrol car with this homie remember kids cars make terrible cover but they're way better than nothing they're more concealment than cover bullets can shred right through cars if you absolutely have to be behind a car make sure you're behind one of the wheels or the engine block I'm gonna have to blur this next part because YouTube kinda hates Blood the officer whose body cam we've been watching is currently running to cover behind a car with officer roseco who I was talking about was shot in the arm and head and severely wounded foreign are you okay Steve made in the Hat and armed despite being severely injured the officer is maintaining his composure and keeping his service pistol pointed in the suspect's direction what a stun [Music] he came out he pointed his gun at me [Music] [Applause] [Music] if you didn't notice the little counter at the bottom of the screen the suspect had taken the slain officer's rifle and off to himself when the officer who we've been watching released that volley of Fire he had hit the suspect a couple of times right there and offer a roseco who was wounded had hit the suspect a couple of times the suspect decides not only to do this anymore goes back into the apartment and self forever sleeps with the officers Patrol rifle he had stolen he ended up being shot in every arm and leg and his chest this happens so much where someone does horrible stuff like this and itself forever sleeps like if we could do one of those things before the other thing that'd be great detective Orozco was rushed to the hospital in critical condition and still suffers from debilitating injuries according to reports a GoFundMe for slain detective Ben and daddy raised
