the summoner class has always been the underdog when it comes to powerful options in nearly half mode luckily for us the 1.4.3 update introduced an extremely unique and potentially strong summon which can be obtained in the first few minutes of playing the summon in question being abigail's flower abigail's flower is a pre-handmade summon weapon that summons the abigail minion similar to the stardust dragon staff only one can be summoned at a time however unlike any other summon in the game the minion stats will receive a massive buff after entering harvard which we'll delve into later for now let's see how you obtain it well you'll be happy to hear that the only real grind for this weapon is dying as much as possible yep you heard me right abigail's flower has a chance of spawning next to tombstones which as many of you know are dropped upon death so i'd recommend collecting a few from throwing yourself off a high tower or whatever suits you fancy it's worth noting that the flower can only grow on grass so make sure you plant seeds where needed many deaths later while wandering around i managed to find one rather quickly taking less than a day to grow which i think is an instant positive becoming one of the earliest obtainable summon weapons in the game sir what exactly does the abigail summon do well she simply attacks by floating into enemies the strength level of this is visualized by the flower on the side of her head with b armor a pygmy necklace and some summoner buffs i fought the eye of cthulhu i think it's fair to say this demonstrates his power rather well absolutely tearing through its hp to get the most out of this weapon you really need to a pure summoner however i still thought you would need this many summons and reckon you could take on the eye on your third or fourth night of playing so it's safe to say that abigail is a solid early pre-hardwood summoner option which in my opinion tops the likes of the flinks and hornet staff but as impressive and overlooked this item is in pre-hard mode you'll be shocked to hear that he's one of the only weapons in terraria to scale up when entering hard mode after defeating the wall of flesh for the first time the amount abigail's damage increases per sermon becomes a hundred and thirty percent of the base damage compared to only fifty five percent in pre-hard mode this substantial buff suddenly put the weapon you obtained in the first days of playing in the same ballpark as other early hardwood weapons which i think is just awesome as you can see with a pretty typical hardwood summoner setup abigail manages to deal quite a respectable dps on multi-enemy scenarios the question is does it make a substitute for other hardwood summon weapons to put it to the test i wanted to see how quickly it could kill a mimic whoa wait sorry that was five yep not only does the damage scale with summons but her movement speed acceleration and maximum number of enemies she can damage at once also increase at this point i was feeling pretty confident with this thing so i figured what would be more fitting than challenging it against the twins and let's just say i was blown away by its performance it made the fight pretty easy as it constantly dealt damage to one of the eyes giving me time and space to dodge before i knew it i was left with retinas at only and abigail swiftly finished him off too i was seriously pleasantly surprised as i'd only equipped pretty early obtainable stuff like spider armor abigail's flower has to be one of the most unique weapons in all of terraria not only can it be obtained extremely early without any challenge aside from well dying a lot it's staggering that it's skills so well in pre-art mode and incredibly well in hard mode of course though let's not forget that there's so many other great options available to the player like being staffed for the wall of flesh of a spider staff after entering heartburn i would also say that abigail summon is only suitable for form summoner builds as any missed chance for extra summoner slots is a lot of damage left under the table have you used this summon and do you think it makes a lot of the early summon weapons obsolete let me know what you think thanks for watching for more terraria content like this drop a like and subscribe and i'll see you in the next one
