THIS is why I dislike trunking...

I'll run a separate circuit for the Bell Transformer on the outside light see [Music] I'm going to concentrate in getting this part done first but look how I've done it yeah yeah no problem because if light now it's a rainy day so not sure how that's going to go if I can get all the wiring done from inside then that'd be fine but uh see how it goes the ring doorbell I thought they just they just charged it and put them on the door and then you just when the battery runs out you charge it again and put it back in just screw it to the door but I suppose these ones that you go wire to the main I suppose I don't know never that much so I'll see what it's like when I get there let's have a look [Music] right okay let me just see where we would get power from is there a socket over over there no there's a socket here there that's where I get my bid from right um how do you want it to look because to get um Power from either place it could be there could be there yeah you you're gonna need some sort of um you've got to run some sort of cable if you want it in the wall that means chasing the wall yeah you can grab it in trunking on the on the surface space how you want it to look well ideally I just I mean it's a massive job to go and the wall well yeah it's a chase that you're gonna have to get made good and I can chase it yeah and I'll get some I could get some plaster and fill it in or some filler fill it in but to get it all nice and smooth you need a bit otherwise just to peel the bring the cable through well the thing is they've got this trunking you can use yeah it's white plastic you can use that where would the trunk and go there well the thing is if we if there is a neutral in here which probably we could um somehow come along here drill through here and then do you um yeah so so this would be surface out here yeah if you come around here and here put it here right and yeah right so just let me just have a look in there see what's the if we've got a neutral there then we're laughing let's just have a look first yep we've got a neutral yeah I'm sure that's neutral which is a good thing yeah I think I think that is a neutral what is this this is tell her what that is by itself so that would make the job easier coming across here I'm not going to pick up from here because um I obviously you need a transformer for it but they haven't supplied once I've had to go and get one when the CEF this is a Proteus board is one of their own fuse boards but they didn't have the Bell thing to go in there Transformer so they said a BG one will do it I don't really love doing that I like to fit the same Transformer as the armor as what's as diffusible to make a diffusable don't like to use other things what I said to him I would come out there long there long there around there through there but now looking at it I'm thinking I could come out here and right hand in through there I think it's going to look better than up there and you know so anyway I need to get started on this because it's taking me a bit of time to get everything ready I need to get on with this all right that's the armored that's feeding it it's an armored they've made that possible at this top just come out the top big holes out there well maybe I might just have to go through there as well so we've got a couple of spillways here I can just link it to one of these circuits and put it outside yeah that's what I'll do we've got a 10 amp right they've got 10 amp here I can change it to a six amp but what I'll do I'll run a separate circuit for the Bell Transformer on the outside light that's it I don't have to then you won't have to do no chasing and all that yeah just one separate circuit everything's sweet and lovely about the transformer in here I was in here somehow drops of course Transformers in on the trunk in go around to there [Music] around the trunk and I had drilled drilled my own hole I don't wanna top back they've done so I just drilled my the hole because I gotta get cabling cable out I just want it to come out nicely I don't want no aggravation try and cut the trunk look that's what happens look nice real rubbish foreign [Music] here again I'm with my trusted sidekick dummy I'm going back to this job where I I put in this ring doorbell okay and outside light I got the doorbell in but I didn't get the lighting and plus the doorbell wasn't complete okay because I got this black conjure trunking up but he doesn't want that he wants it flushed in oh and I only done it temporarily because the cable that I've used is not for outside use really and the thing is the film was a bit messed up because um the mic I was having mic issues yeah I think the mic kept running out so I switched it off to try and save it yeah but then when I try to um update what I'm going forgot to switch it on yeah I started off I was going to pick take the power from here but it wasn't the best thing so what I've done I he had some spear waves in there I got a I've got a bell Transformer I thought it could fit in the fuse board but it would be out it couldn't right so I had to put it outside the fuse board and so I had to run all this trunking it was difficult it was awkward to to work up there you look at it now you think it's a simple thing but it was hard to work up and I was under pressure to try and get it done yeah and I could have done it a more simpler way if I just if I didn't have time to think about it so obviously I don't I was going to go up there first but I thought oh not out there long here it's more discreet yeah and the customer was happy with that okay so command here and first I was thinking of the clip indicators but that would have been aggro because you can't Hammer clips into this you have to drill it so I run a bit of trunk here got here got a bit trickly and um anyway that's it all right I only stuck it on the conjured chunking on but what I was able to do to get that into there I'd done a little Trace what I've done I got my drill drilled it drilled it and sort of done a little change so I was thinking over the weekend I when I get I got the proper rubber cable now for it but I can trace that in because the customer said that's fine I can chase it in but there's a light that's going here right yeah so what I'm going to do I'm going to concentrate in getting this part done first and then I've got to put a switch switch so that he's got some control the light comes on by movement but is that PIR yeah so but you want some sort of control over it just in case it malfunctionates on all the times so I'm going to put a switch in I was going to put it in here but he said have it here no problem okay so um yeah that's all right so that's what we're gonna do cool oh I did this Danny was that little Chase there yeah I did with the drill I just put the drill bit in because what it is I don't want to try go too heavy with a chisel piece because you're right at the edge and you don't know oh yeah easy to break so let me just try I'll just see if I can still work it with this because I've got a light I've got to go up here thank you you know what I don't think this is going to work let me just try the Chisel piece if I just take it easy because I don't want to give myself aggravation by breaking the guys see what I've done that bit that I brought in this is a tough rubber this is best for this is for outside do you see it so what I've done that part was just PVC just saw Mary PVC the one that I was in there before so now so yeah I went to see yet they're at the tougher but in Three core but I didn't really so then I went to TLC or something I was passing away in the day at this that's too cool that's too cool that's all you need so if I can get this in nice and neat it will be good you know and then I bought some um filler to go over it so [Music] let me just survive yeah that's what we want dami right there well that's that's what we want here so I'm going to bring it up to about here about there and then I'm not going to chase it right in the corner of this park and because you can't see it no yeah it's just this part is like under here and um yeah you don't want to see that chunky until and to clip to clip this to concrete it's not going to work the clip the nails just bend yeah so with this one like I said what I've done I drilled a series of holes and just yeah the cloths that I use to wipe my hands and all that you just have to clean the floor because one thing when you when people go away come back you don't want to come back to a mess you know so you have to be like that oh man that was a joke and I've been caught out with this because I've worked for people I remember one specific job I never forget about this woman and um after I was finishing after I finish I started clearing up and she goes oh it's all right love leave it we'll do that but then the Builder was saying oh why did you clean up the one who gave me the job I said yeah I was cleaning up and then he said no it's all right she'll do it and then but I don't know what sort of communication happens they were trying to make out that I didn't want to clear up [Applause] I never forget um the spark the Sparky I was working within in this in the early 70s he told me straight away clean up after yourself they'll keep it clean up as you go along that's what he said and I never never forget that all this that's a very good thing I couldn't see any screws for this light fitting they usually come with exclusive but people take the stuff out and they don't realize because uh once you're screw it in is that not gonna come up what do you mean this this has been of course no it should be okay let's see we'll see I put up some light fittings for these people not too long ago so I think you threw out the package with the bracket they come with a bracket I think he threw out the package because they couldn't find a bracket I had to search it on the internet so they could buy one right so that's going to be like that I made a mistake because what I should really do is draw the line draw a line to drill on because that's where the cable is going to go through so that's not the best thing it's best to draw a line that's been a journal still work out though I hope okay this will work all right so I'm gonna put one here one here yeah that's an authentic just use your Hammer don't follow me okay yeah you don't have to go right in life no it's not going to leave it but look how I've done it yeah yeah no problem because if you screw it too much it'll go right through okay you've got to make it tight make sure it's tight but yeah that can go a bit more that can go a bit more that's cool that's cool let's have a look at that then to be honest that's not the greatest that's straight but I think the light's gonna hide it when you try Julie it moves like the drill moves slightly you know so to get it exact all this and it okay come over here because I knew that yeah when I was trying to drill it this one moved so what you can do is you can lift it up a bit is that more like it yeah yeah okay well let's see give us the drill please Danny that that's more like it is right so that's all good that's really good there yet got to be careful here I don't want to drill through that because you can break that yeah see that's why I was asking are you not going to do it first yeah yeah I have to take it off yeah I put that up just oh the so I'll get the cable in place and everything but now I've got to drill this but I'm gonna have to mark them and unscrew them yeah I could try and screw it and drill it through that but I don't want to break it I've got to be careful with these things if you had two of them you can chance it with one see it's all right that you've locked it but the thing is it could still slip the drill it's getting keeping the drill steady because if it slips it puts you out just like that one yeah oh what I'm going to do I'll tell you other three in so that you can just line them up in fact get this one here tight now for sure just hold this something's before we get it tight something's not going right it's a hundred percent but I wonder if it will you can't really there's nothing you can do to it unless you get the holes precisely but I don't know if that's going to show up you know when you look at it it's slightly out once the switch single pole yeah like I said I'm gonna use the dump you can use a double pole so it's where you just bring lavender neutral in the top lavender trap pot yeah but I'm going to use this one so now come come up here be careful because you're working on live stuff it's like clamp the Earth onto the Earth bar all right let me do it because you don't want it flying off when you're doing your test I think that's a bit better now if you stick this fold into that rcd in this onto the screw you got 240 volts there yep now we've pressed it oh let me do it I'll press it press the test button 38.4 that's cool turn it back on take off the Earth so that's it write that down like I was saying damn I hate chunking but that's the best I could do okay that's it they are all finished up things yeah and they are into this box okay he's right so it's all done mate um he's gonna send that down he says and paint it and um yeah you saw the old ring doorbell working and um so what do you recommend mate or this little installation yeah yeah but it's good it's good you come along and see how it's done in it so if you ever got to do one at least you've got an idea yeah fantastic yeah
