foreign [Music] ERS I'm Nick it feels like just yesterday we saw the land called 215 come out from Leon Lee we've got a brand new land cool it's the 216 now it actually doesn't share that much with the 215 and you're about to find out why this case is very unique and has lots of interesting new features that Leon Lee hasn't really done before this could be the case that changes it all take a look this video is brought to you by Asus and their brand new GeForce RTX 4090 series gpus the Asus GeForce RTX 490 series gpus have unrivaled cooling potential with their triple fan design that feature dual ball bearing actual tech fans which can deliver up to 23 percent more airflow than a regular GPU fan the Asus GeForce RTX 4090 series cards are covered in a metal exoskeleton which adds structural rigidity and helps to increase overall heat dissipation not only that they have the looks to match and for a limited time with your Asus GeForce RTX 490 series purchase you can receive a free graphics card holder valued at 99 to find out more click the link in the description let's start off with panel removal to remove the tempered glass side panel there's a single thumb screw on the back and you'll just need to use your fingers to pull the panel off and it's got little pop clips that will just pop off and we can pull that side panel off the rear panel does not have screws you just pull it and pop it off the top panel has two capacitive thumb screws you just loosen them up and like the o11 it just slides back and you can take the top panel off and if you pay close attention the mesh is actually similar to the o11 as well so I think that's what they went with design wise and for front panel removal grab the bottom of the case and give it a bit of a yank and it should pull off that's not all the top panel is also fully removable as well there's two screws that hold in this top panel and this allows you to get access from the top of the case we're building as well and we've seen this with cases lately and I really like that this is becoming a thing for SSD and hard disk support we've got these two brackets here here for 2.5 inch ssds there's also a bunch of hard disk sleds at the bottom of the case which allow you to slide in your drives at will and this will support both 2.5 inch drives and three and a half inch spinning Rush drives there's also two additional Drive mounts here on the top of the PSU shroud so this case has a lot of additional storage support for power supply support you're looking at 220 millimeters with this front hard disk cage installed in terms of cable management we've got these three velcro tie downs that will basically hold down everything you need and there's also these little Clips here which allow you to put cables behind here so you don't need to use the velcro raceways not only that it's got these handy dandy little plastic Clips here that you can put cables behind so things like your EPS power cables fan cables whatnot you can route all the way down the bottom here using these plastic Clips without using any velcro which is awesome because that could be super duper not only that inside of the case you've got these two rubber grommets here which allow for clean cable pass through but that's not the only thing this bracket here can actually be flipped over to the other orientation making the cable pass through and The Grommet sit on the other side which means you can put a much bigger motherboard in here so that is quite nice to see I also thought it was worth mentioning that this bottom Grille on the PSU shroud can be removed so you can actually use that to clean it or to get access to things like cable management if you're building here uh obviously you can see the b-roll of where I did this but I'm not going to do this right now for motherboard support you're looking at ITX all the way up to eatx if you decide to flip this bracket around and put the cable grommets on the other side three included fans in the case here we've got these giant RGB fans up the front these are addressable RGB and they are pwm as well there's also a rear 140 mil fan as well that is not RGB but it is pwm there is an Integra an RGB controller on the back of the case here this is also a pwm Fan Hub and you've got RGB control on the front panel of the case and it's all powered by a SATA cable a pwm fan cable as well as it's got pass through for three pin 5 volt address for RGB so if you want to plug it into your motherboard you can also control that here and as mentioned all the fans that are pre-installed in the case are pwm fans for the case wiring we've got a combined front panel block for your lights and when you switch your social new systems up and running more of this please a USB type-c front panel cable a USB 3.2 type a cable and a front panel audio cable while we're at the front and I'm not going to be doing this in the build just I just wanted to talk about this because it was interesting the front I O with the USB and the power button and everything can be completely removed and you can move it to the side of the case here so this is essentially a blanking plate that covers up a hole in the front panel so this allows you to put it here if it's on your desk for easy access some people don't touch the top of their cases Some People Want it a bit lower down and this gives you the ability to do that so they really did think of almost every orientation with this case for GPU clearance you're looking at a maximum clearance of 392 mils this is the Asus tough gaming RTX 4090 this is an absolute Behemoth of a card and you can see towards the front end of the card we've got plenty of clearance if you're wanting to do front mounted radiators or anything up the front really for the fan and radiator support the front bracket can actually be completely removed so you can remove these 160 mil fans up the front you can change the orientation of the bracket to allow for 140mm fans or 120 mil fan so for front radiator support you're looking up to a 360 millimeter AIO at the top you can do up to a 360mm liquid cooler up here which is nice to see 280 mil as well and in total for for the fans I'll put it on your screen right now so three 120 mil fans two 140 mil fans and that's basically how the cookie crumbles at the top for the rear fan support you can do either a 120 mil fan or a 140 mil fan I think we'll be going 140 for the build here but it doesn't stop there because we've got these spaces at the bottom of the case as well which allow us to install either a 240mm radiator or two 120 mil fans on the bottom of the case as well now you'll notice that the whole bottom of the case is open right so it can draw air in from the basement up in to the case if you're wanting to air cool in this your maximum CPU air cooler height is 180 millimeters this is quite a wide case and I'll just give you guys a bit of an example it's very very wide something that makes this case very unique is this whole rear section of the case where you would typically have your outputs for your graphics card or any other additional add-in cards this can be row rotated and you can vertically Mount Your GPU that way with a riser cable so you don't need any additional vertical GPU brackets you can do that right here with the case as is and obviously all you'll need is a riser cable to do it but very very cool to see that not only is this rear bracket completely rotatable they've also got this additional fan bracket here which allows you to mount a fan on the outside of the case for additional exhaust so for all of these hot gpus we can pull air out that way as well now I won't be doing that in this build video I don't think it's necessary for the current build that I've got planned with this but this is very cool especially with these 40 series gpus getting hotter and hotter that's basically everything I think you need to know about the Leon Leyland called 216 for now right so we're going to do a build with it and then I'm going to let you know what I think of this case after we've actually built with it now one thing I also wanted to mention is a lot of the time we get comments from people saying why don't you use this stock fans for thermal testing when we do builds like this the answer is not only do I want to know the thermals of a case I want it to look really good too and sometimes the stock fans just don't look very good but we are using the front 160 fans but that 140mm fan at the back has got to go so speaking of going let's go and build a PC [Music] oh [Music] [Music] foreign [Music] [Music] foreign [Music] thank you [Music] [Music] [Music] foreign [Music] [Music] [Music] all right ladies and gents I hope you enjoyed checking out the Leon Lee Land call 216 with us but let's take a look at The Thermals what you're seeing on your screen right now is The Thermals are okay they're not the best I would have preferred to do this build with a bigger cooler however I wanted to show you guys a little bit of a comparison with the NZXT H5 that we did a couple weeks ago just to give you a bit of a side by side to see how this case Stacks up thermally now what we're seeing is The Thermals of the 216 are better for the GPU obviously because we have more intake for the GPU but other than that The Thermals that we're seeing are quite similar across the board so not too bad from Leon Lee what I'll do for this build is I'll put a PC part pick list down below in the description I'm not going to go through all the hardware because I've already shared most of that through the build in the building process but I wanted to talk about the land call 216 as a case in terms of design and build quality this case is exceptional this is one of the better designed Leon lean cases that we've seen in such a long time and I'm going to go Inspire and say this that this is better than the 011 for a few reasons first of all we've got bigger capability for exhaust out the back right number two it's easier to get access to building this case than the 011 because we can remove the whole top of the case to get access from the top of the case this is something I can definitely get behind and it is something that is very important if you're building a lot of PCS or if you've never built a PC before because now you can see the internals of the case from every single angle in terms of the materials used here as well this is on par with Leon Lee's top and cases this is a very different case to the 215 given that they've taken a lot of design Q is from the o11 Evo and implemented it into a regular mid-tower case without that split layout and to be honest you guys probably know this but I think the 011 is one of the most overrated cases of all time I prefer regular mid Towers so what they've done basically is got a lot of the features from that and stuck it in a proper mid Tower form factor however not everything is sunshine and rainbows with the design of this case now you would have noticed in the build section I kind of made a bit of a meme of it but I tried to put one of these new unifan sl120 V2s in the back slot the problem is Leon Lee doesn't let their own 140 mil fan fit at the back of the case what it's like they didn't even test putting their own fans in this case because of the additional metal Accent on the side of the fan it makes the fan a tad bit wider and it just does not fit in their own case so what is going on that's such a huge oversight considering a lot of people who build in Leon Lee cases just want to use unifans and the fact that you can't use the sl120s yep some other interesting features like the fact that you can rotate the GPU bracket is very very nice too I think that a lot of cases should just do this and make it easy so we don't need vertical GPU brackets all it took for them was to detach the bracket itself from the case which is a part of most chassis it's separate anyway put four screws in it and allow us to rotate it so good work lonely that is an excellent feature for people who are wanting that type of layout in their cases in terms of cable management with the lancool216 it is excellent now if you take a look at the cable management job that I did here it took me about seven minutes okay we'll manage this whole system it's not the best cable manage system in the whole world but as you can see with those plastic clips that I mentioned throughout the part of the video where we took a look at everything excellent these things work really really well I want to see this on more cases because it's just such an easy thing that people can Implement I like it it's very very good overall I really have to say this that I think the land call 216 is one of the better cases that we've seen over the last few years they've taken design cues from their other cases they've learned a lot over the last few years in terms of case design obviously Leon Lee's been doing this for such a long time if you guys don't know they've been doing cases for like 25 years or whatever but they've listened to what people have wanted not everyone wants an o11 I I don't like that case I don't like it at all now they've got the stuff that people like from that they've put it into this which I am all about and if you're all about this case and you wanted to know how much this case costs it starts at 100 US dollars or 99.95 US dollars for the Black and White Version without the RGB fans up the front and you're looking at 115 US dollars for the full RGB version which isn't too bad now I do have to make one little comment about why they've brought the price down a little bit compared to what it could have been they don't include an RGB controller now I talked about this in the part where we looked at everything and basically tore the whole thing apart and talked about an integrated RGB controller but I didn't mention that that is actually an optional piece now that will cost you some extra money now there's a couple other things that I thought they should have included as well they have an optional front mesh filter for the front of the case why not just include that to give people the option of having it there I get it it brings the price down but then you need to go and Source One and sometimes getting accessories and other parts of these cases can actually be difficult they're not quite that easy to get so you know just take that into account when you're looking at this case because the reality is a case like this will fill up with dust with that bottom PSU shroud with the open mash and the front being open but if you don't care like I usually don't care about that stuff keep your environment and EPC clean you don't really need to worry about dust filters too much but ladies and gents let me know what you think of the Leon Lee Land called two on six you already know how I feel about it I think they absolutely nailed this case it is very very nice the Aesthetics is nice the Price Is Right on the money for a case with this feature set and let's hope you guys can get your hands on this because I'd love to hear all of your thoughts on building in the land call 216. if you like the music you heard here I make all the music it's available by clicking that join button down below and if you haven't subscribed ladies and gents what are you doing get yourself subscribed almost at 200k let's hit that ASAP let's do it 200k we're going to give away some stuff anyways I'm your boy Nick with gear Seekers you peek we seek and I hope you enjoyed the land called two on six I actually really really like this thing I'm gonna get myself a black one because I've got some plans for a very cool build
