Please note that this website is currently a work in progress! Lots of interesting data and statistics to come.
The comments on that video suck. "Just don't stress and avoid sugar guys!"
Do people even understand what this field is supposed to do? The whole point of the research is to find a way to go BEYOND what any human can do even with perfect genetics and lifestyle.
Exercising, eating right, not stressing, etc. Helps a lot within a lifetime for good aging but its not going to take you to an age that hasn't been reached in eras before now.
We need to focus on the things we can't control even with good decision making.
hi guys i didnt know where else to post this. Please check out the above video, if you have not already. Its a great and informative, and quality visual video of David Sinclair being interviewed by Tom Bilyeu. Also, i HIGHLY recommend watching this on an HD tv or big screen. i enjoyed watching it on the smart tv youtube app to watch the whole thing.
its a great video and indepth, of almost nearly 3 million views!!! I feel that the Longevity movement is really starting to pick up steam.
I first saw content from this Tom Bilyeu person earlier this week and I was not really impressed. He was interviewing Richard Dawkins and there were so many nuances that Tom missed when he was attempting to engage on a variety of topics with Richard. Kind of like a 1st year undergrad trying to impress his professor but doing a terrible job with his misunderstanding. The professor, meanwhile, is too polite to tell the enthusiastic pupil how utterly mistaken they are.
I realize this sounds like gate-keeping, but there are some real downsides to having non-academics interview academics about anything at all that isn't personal or simple.
ANYWAY: This video might still be entertaining/informative/worth your time, just suggesting that you manage your expectations before delving in.
Man these guys must have figured out longevity because they think I have time to watch an hour long video
Just a reminder that sinclair is 50, he looks 30
I shared this video because it has HD high quality cameras of when it was filmed, and was done in a professional studio, with multiple cameras. Generally during covid, a lot of the aging interviews I have seen have been low quality such as webcam skype or zoom interviews.
Also you guys as an update, wow thanks for all the discussions and meaningful comments and the thumbs up. The feedback from the community on this thread has beat my expectations.
Lastly, I know that some people here are not happy with the pace of aging research progress for the last 10 years. Hear me out: it could be a lot, lot worse!!! We could still have been a fringe or dying movement, but instead the longevity cause is showing strides in progress and growth. All you have to do is go on youtube and do search queries like this: david sinclair interview / aubrey de grey interview / longevity life extension research. I think you will be pleasntly surprised that a ton of videos have hundreds of thousands and millions of views!
