This Entire Show Was Made To Trick One Man

so aggressive all right never wonder what The Truman Show would look like in real life well stop wondering because our dystopian overlords over at Amazon created a new show called jury duty exploring just that in this show we follow an entirely fake court case with actors playing everyone from the plaintiff and defense to the judge and most importantly the jury except for one man on that jury meet Ronald who's in between contracting jobs and took a Craigslist ad to be on a documentary about a jury and has no idea any of this is scripted but that contact's out of the way enjoy my reaction reacting it's more like I'm promoting even and it's Amazon they're giant they can afford to take the hit and enjoy the following series explores the American judicial process as seen Through The Eyes of a jury I learn about jury duty see what this whole thing's about the process everything in general during normal trial jurors are forbidden from discussing the case but we were given under giveness he destroyed my career my business and my mental health is that accurate what are you doing this trial will be my last trial there's a substance called bromine objection sustained foreign because this is not a normal trial it's fake everyone involves as an actor could you just please talk to him he's he knows what happened I will arrest every last one of y'all except for I mean maybe this is common I don't know but I feel like this this can't be that common because just crazy stuff keeps happening okay you want a Twix already did you just go to the vending machines in the um the gift shop and there was nobody there so I just so I am like an anarchist of sorts like I don't believe in rules I don't like English too [ __ ] I had no idea but then on the other hand I'm also kind of a fun girl everyone in my hometown said that people in La were mean but people are super nice people it's Andy King you just looked cute over here I'm sorry you like reminded me of someone but then I'm oh my actually like wanted to like ask you if you wanted like a chewy bar like a big hunk oh uh oh man I'm all right but thank you I wear a water buffalo canteen backpack um sort of is like having a small water fountain with me all the time oh it's sick although the ultimate objective would be that uh one wouldn't need to wear an apparatus at all that it would be um so the goal here is just loud enough so it's a normal conversation but for this guy to still hear them be [ __ ] weirdos inside of the body yes for hydration excuse me I'm gonna get some water you want some of his yeah just go right through the window he'll give you paperwork this reminds me of this chat yeah oh and then I forgot about this part that guy's a [ __ ] actor that's James Marston I know him from Cyclops and X-Men and also Westworld so he's in this show too which is cool I'm sorry blame himself thank you dude that's where I know you're from you're next it's not a movie oh this entire time I didn't ask your name forgive me Ronald Ronald yeah James pleasure are you in Ronald yeah I was trying to pinpoint it because I was like I've seen you somewhere yeah but I've been in like so much stuff it's like X-Men oh is it funny or is it supposed to be acting action and funny like you know road trip buddy movie was like he and I and then and then Jim Carrey plays the are you like a main woman yeah apparently he's in the new Sonic movie too yeah he was talking about that some respect on his name goddamn I never saw the movie director meeting at five I haven't got to roll yet big neediness Sonic two perhaps I mean how long does this normally take if you use me what do people usually say when they're trying to like get out of this like once like the move like I'm only going off this thing I've seen on Family Guy and that's probably not the best thing wait what was it Peter pretends to be racist together that's pretty smart to the right side thank you to the right nice if we can make this as quiet as possible and quickly as possible that would be wonderful all right guys trial court of the State of California 28th district is now in session the honorable Judge Alan Rosen is presiding it's an entirely fake core possession okay respectfully uh gentlemen if you would take off your hats gentlemen the last row if you could remove your hat I'd appreciate it thank you I've been sitting in this courtroom for 38 years and sadly this trial will be my last trial so for one a better words this is my swan song who are unable to sit for what might be a week or so for this trial you sir in the front row I have a surgery scheduled at the end of the week some Fair inside my body's got to come out stop you're okay thank you you may be excused I have to pick up kids are you the primary caretaker oh picking them up and watching them yes all right well then your excuse thank you okay yeah it's just not my thing okay I mean I'd give the same reasoning Madam I sincerely appreciate you went to my car to get my lunch and apparently someone had broken into my car I uh cut my hand get things out so forgive me if I'm not in the best mode Nikki would you uh you are a member of um RBI yes ma'am what's RBI Reddit Bureau of Investigation very much I mean yeah I'm into true crime documentaries podcasts all that stuff you know so when I got the summons I was like hell yeah finally but nah this case is dumb it looks like you have a lot of kids like a half the office I can't be away from my kids for a long period of Time how many kids you get it's like scripted it's like the office but there's one person there I'm a teacher so a lot of those kids I feel like they're my own kids these are your students yes there were students but this isn't relevant sit down injury a year ago there was a a car accident that I Came Upon I pulled a a three-year-old girl out of the car and it rolled the paramedics had to cut me out of the car and the jaws of life kind of pinched me in the back C4 C5 was ruptured and I I just can't miss with the jaws of time I'm sorry where were you just pointing C4 C5 down here there's oh that's there okay well there there's one problem your C4 C5 is up by your neck how about it it's just not for me you sit down see the judges are both smart I actually I have this trip with um with my girlfriend it's our it's our six month anniversary yes this is the first time that we've been completely unsupervised our parents aren't there so you can kind of see how that would be like sure a vacation is not an excuse It's just that our parents aren't going to be around so it's we're really free to do anything that any anything we haven't done yet right you can imagine why excuse me I've heard it all and uh going away with your girlfriend that's not gonna stop I'm terribly sorry are there any other reasons aside from this trip that you feel that you would not be able to be a good juror for this matter um I um I I sorry I'm I'm I also am uh racist sir please here for you I believe so this is my lot in life sir they follow me they think you can't control them they show up and I've gotten used to it to be honest do you think there's a possibility that that these folks will uh interfere with the jurors and trying to get gossip on you yeah potentially this is a problem I couldn't agree with you more listen I understand why you got to let me go I wish I unusable units of product and a downturn in business from which it never recovered first appearance of the defendant um I try not to judge a book too much by its cover but I mean he had the really long hair kind of the unkept shaven face oh he's not Ronald profiling much Jesus I mean just because he's got a mustache I knew a man with the mustache once and he was a good guy I'm on his side right are they gonna do make me do jury duty what is the consequence there's consequences for ignoring it we'll arrest you really just say you're racist no it didn't work I only do everyone just stream it before in my eye uh I'm just glad I was there to provide life-saving assistance to Tim be a leader Tim was easy to talk to like Tim's really nice to me he was super open not judgmental he made me laugh and we were laughing continuously like 10 minutes he was really I don't know if you know this but he told me that you kind of reminded him of a little brother he had that actually passed away when he was 18. so maybe that's what resonated with with you and him he actually took a year off between his high school senior year and his freshman year of college really good day and he got to learn uh how to raise goats what he does is he finds old bicycles I I remember that from the 70s what do you know about him that's right and he gives us why don't you tell us something you know about him poor kids in the inner city is just amazing that that he would do do something like that he's a one of a kind look at that it's so sweet it's like a bird he actually made me a crane as well called me crane head I have a good memory with him I really feel sad and scared damn dude everyone got this oh I did bring it bring it no I'm not a part of the crane proof unfortunately I invite to the crane the woods from a pain standpoint he will not be able to continue sitting on the jury the greatest man ever a point one of these two gentlemen is a full-fledged juror I don't say that to you guys no no your number oh James is a juror now yes sir please sit down number 13. oh please come up please hit that I was thinking I was going to jump up on the jury today I feel like an afterthought to some degree but uh Lonnie's great and I think he's gonna do a great job and uh you know who knows maybe there'll be another opportunity another Tim or not not that not not in that way but but uh you know you never know it actually works out for the best because I'm supposed to be getting the Lone Pine script soon and that's going to require my full undivided attention loan finds the name of the movie by the way in case anyone's confusing Bonnie what about you how does it feel to move up oh I don't know you know it's chill you know new chair swivels and everything made it brother Promised Land so as you can see here my clients showed up for work the animation on the day of the incident and this is animation just a second I'm gonna have to have a talk with my Netflix glitch gotten wrong you know what I want to see it the video is not show it to me it's not it's not working I don't understand um that's him is this what the jury just saw um that's the whole thing fortunately yes that is not like the whole thing was supposed to be Not only was the animation so poor but it glitched and just it was just like Charlie video yeah he's showing very clear frustration he's banging his hands on the table when his attorney can't present a simple video it's it's a hot mess to say the least before I let you go for lunch it just pisses his pants I hit indicated to you that a four person would be appointed today she analyzed me that it's frantic as the scene was when chair number seven injured himself one of you was poised and kept calms throughout juror number six my understanding is that you showed uh guts or or what I would call klutzbach by stepping up during this time of Crisis I'm just gonna do pieces if that's cool I'm fine with that I'm hoping that you are sure you're the guy who's in charge for what that's worth why don't we recess for lunch [Applause] come on Ronald you got it man I didn't even order the food Nikki ordered the food that wasn't even me thank God should we toast there's a food Ronaldo you know what um I'm fine not being for a person and Ronald and I have actually just started discussing the possibility of me being his assistant so she really wanted them I just wanted to present this to my four person my memory I mean that's your memory I mean I appreciate it but you don't got to do that Robbie thank you yeah that's really nice all right y'all want to
