great start really excited about it we've been really waiting to finally make this video yeah i think it was about time kind of explain what happened i haven't really been able to talk about it yeah there's been a lot of things going on so if you guys don't know who shane is shane davis youtube channel humecula i've been friends with shane for over 10 years that might be hard to believe for how have you been good how have you been so long i think the last time i seen you you didn't even have this house really yeah it's a big deal i was proud of you man woodward ocean side ocean side oh that's right it is hard to believe for people because like i haven't been in your videos in the past until recently we started filming together yeah but uh shane was a friend i met 10 years ago at the skate park we were both a little little hood and that's how we became friends we started going to skate park together fun fact learned his first backflip with me because of him i learned how to backflip a scooter yeah and i remember because he took it to the concrete that same day he's always been like an older brother to me and shane is one of the craziest most talented outgoing people and i'd like to be a flight hacker i want to be just like you guys just like me look at me we should get into that story we should tell him how you broke your back i mean actually first i forgot to tell you this we're going to get pretty deep into this video and kind of tell you the real struggles that have come for shane from this incident he doesn't have health insurance the hospital bill is well oh is everything all messed up are you my back yeah quite literally like the story of it listen so it's 11 p.m we wanted to go to the trampoline park we never go there so like i'm not like a trampoline guy like we were just kind of messing around we were all just goofy was honestly just fun and it was a vibe just bouncing around we weren't even there filming we just went there to kick it and vibe which is weird because our friend zay was randomly recording he didn't film anything the whole night i tried doing something that like i know i should not have tried thank god nowhere it literally was it was some of those things where it's like like you would never expect it to happen so like i'm jumping down like this drop onto the trampoline which wasn't a problem and then i was trying to do like a double front flip into the foam it's a foam pit so i was like oh i'm big chilling but like but you just i jumped away 10 feet off of the ledge yeah but like about it like i don't think about things when i'm like doing things though as much as i should and i literally landed on the edge of the foam pit like you probably see in the video like it just looks like i landed in the phone but i came to a complete stop i landed on like the edge and my neck basically just like landed and my spine just went thank god i didn't break my neck though first instinct you can hear me in the video like i giggled right at first i was just like oh he's about to fly you know what i mean and then i thought you hit the phone watch the video a lot you're like oh immediately jumped out you can see in the video i'm like waving my hands because i knew right away like i had no breath of air like nothing i could not breathe at all every time i watch the video i stop it right when you hit i don't even like seeing you hit because i don't like the look in your face bro because i'll never forget i was jumping down the trampoline running up to you the way you were [ __ ] waving your arms bro i knew you were hurt and then the scariest part you immediately got up because you were like holy sh yeah and then i just i just remember i remember you leaning on like the thing you had your arms like i told you to do that actually because you couldn't breathe because every time i ever do that like i instantly because i've knocked one of myself a lot me too and that's the first thing you do you know one of those times where you hit like knock them out of yourself and it's like this is like a little too long mine was like i this is a little too too long like i was like okay when am i gonna start breathing dude and then i finally caught that breath of air and i i just couldn't move my neck or my back i could move everything else thank god dude the burning in like the pain in my back sucks so bad the first thing you said was i think i broke my neck yeah and then you're sitting there and i was like what do you want to do bro i was like what what can i do for you because you were sitting there like this like you didn't want to move i said we need to get you on your back you're like i can't i can't and that's why i was like oh sh i remember my first thing was i said dude we need to call an ambulance like this is very serious your neck and back injuries like are something you don't with yeah when i was laying there i was like nobody wants to pay for an ambulance ride even if you don't have health insurance it's still like maybe it's just dummy expensive i'm like okay give me a second and maybe the pain will start going away i'll just hop in a car and we'll get there but like it started hurting so much i'm gonna tolerate some pain yeah i can tolerate some crashing in there i've like gone through enough where i could you know be okay like sit there for a bit but the pain wasn't getting less it was just getting more you actually said it was getting worse yeah so i asked you at one point and you said it was a 9 out of 10. now yeah and that's how i knew because i've seen this fool wreck himself so many different times to hear you say it was a nine out of ten but i knew it was [ __ ] bad and then you didn't want to get an ambulance because you were like obviously we're also stressing about yeah didn't have health insurance that's why i scare you the thing was realistically i didn't even know i didn't have health insurance i thought i had health insurance last year uh the leader but literally still renew it no but i didn't get the mail because it wasn't sent to my old address see because i was going to say bro you're too smart to not have health insurance all the stunts you do yeah i even have my card in my wallet and stuff so i was like okay we'll have to deal with this somehow dude the hard part was getting on the stretcher and i was so scared because you guys literally had to carry me you guys were the ones that actually carried me on the stretcher i gave that [ __ ] my all too bro i don't know i was like i was like if you tripped i would have been literally just like when he asked me to help carrie i was like okay yeah yeah i have to yeah i was literally so scared and then they they handed me down and i was like okay once i got to the ground i was like all right i'm fine and then they put me on the stretcher thing i was like okay good got in the ambulance and i was like how long is this ambulance right oh it's right across the street actually looking back on it dude the doctor literally told you 99 of people in that exact position that hurt what you hurt would have been paralyzed yeah like you could have died i know that's like that's a bit that's a bit excessive and like dramatic but you could have yeah if you jump forward a little bit it's uh when i was in the hospital i the doctor was literally just like it was almost like a scene out of a movie like he was like okay well um we we can give you a back brace and uh you have a chance of being the vertebral paralyzed so it's essentially a broken path um and it's an unstable fracture so um we have our neurosurgeons here who are going to look we actually have to get an mri to get a little better view of your back and your spine i'm like what even say that word for it and then he's like or uh we could take you through surgery you also have a chance of being paralyzed through the surgery because it's a six and a half hour long surgery they had literally pet pins in my head like controlling my body i'm like okay well give me the lessest chance of being painless and the surgery is like gnarly and it went good yeah it went great you work right now i don't even know what they did realistically i do know they fused from my six t6 to t10 oh really yeah cause i broke this seven and eight and then five days in the hospital couldn't even go see you because of the pandemic that was also a bad part none of my boys can come hanging on me and i'm in there like by myself no one can come see me that was like the worst part shane being my friend for like 10 years uh i obviously want to help him in any way i can he's like a brother to me and i promoted a gofundme that we had made in my last video and i got so many comments of people saying tanner you're so rich why don't you just pay for his entire surgery i understand that question from people's point of views i'm doing a lot as much as i can for shane behind the scenes we created the gofundme as a separate avenue of help to see how much any of you out there can help they also don't see a lot of what's going on behind the scenes of course like you and your family like you know just keeping in touch even jessica she's been so like sweet and like helping me with everything that's what friends are meant for why are you going to pay for my mistakes you didn't say hey shane jump that well because like to me this situation for you because you're a good person but this situation to you is so much more stressful because you don't have health insurance and my main thing is i've told you that you're not alone in this problem dude i have text messages you saying like non-stop all the time always so we're doing a lot and that brings my next thing this is the best
