Things to Think About: Animal Control Officers

[Music] it's education on animal related issues the second would be protecting the community from animals and third protecting Saleen of some animals from the community to let the public know about the laws and the rules that we have for animals I like to be able to make sure that animals are safe [Music] one of the major misconceptions is that the pound puts down animals that after three days we euthanize them and that is not the case we have many outside agencies that are willing to take animals from the pound and find them good homes I'm not trying to take your dog too I don't want to put your dog down three I want you to keep your dog as long as possible I don't want to end up with the dog my job is to make sure that your dog is safe in your hands the first thing I think about is getting the animals under control so that the safety of the public is where it should be and that everything the animals are safe and that the humans are safe and that nobody's gonna be injured including myself and my fellow officers [Music] somebody had a bit baby alligator in the problem with baby alligators eventually they grow up
