THEY SOLVED HOMOPHOBIA! 'I'm in Love with the Villainess' Episode 3 Reaction & Review

good day everybody it is Kell axen here and today we are back with I'm in love with the villainous episode three reaction and review and remember that if you guys want to see the fulllength timer and the patreon you can basically sync everything up you press play when I press play and then uh you can watch with your chosen language because this show has a couple as opposed to migi and Di which has none it's just Japanese with the English subtitles anyway so before we get into it I did make myself a little chart of all the characters this was easy because unlike the other anime that I'm watching villainous actually has a Wiki so I did make a little chart I'll put it on screen but yeah that should help me I mean I wasn't really struggling with the character name names but it's always good to have them up there anyway editing Cal here um I just realized that all of the boys have the same last name I don't think I was supposed to know that I'm just going to pretend that we didn't see it moving on I actually did have stuff to mention this week so last week I sort of glossed over the never give up line I it gave me strange Vibes but I wanted to think about it more like I wasn't entirely sure what it could be implying but that line combined with the ending just gave me a sort of strange feeling and I explained this in a YouTube comment to the person that mentioned it but I I don't know if it's going to go into this dark of a Direction but I wonder if Claire thinks that she's unlovable because maybe her mom left or something like they're doing this thing where the mom is like in Shadow and like mysterious and like something like that right and so I wonder if it has something to do with the photo of her mom and like it just gave me the vibe of this character hates themselves so much they can't imagine why anyone else would love them like you know like my Mom hated me so why would anyone else love me like that sort of thing and so my first instinct with Ray's line was like CLA won't fight against her own death or her own something like something will happen where Claire has to fight for her life right in the context of the visual novel you know what I mean in the original story but ler gives up because she doesn't think that it's wor like it it doesn't think that she's worth fighting like you know what I mean whatever it is it doesn't need to be death per se but just anything like that there's something that's going to happen and in the context of the game that Ray has played Claire is like well you know it's like in Beauty and the Beast when the Beast thinks that like the Beast thinks that Belle is gone and so uh you know Mrs pots is like what do we do Master and he's like it doesn't matter now just let them come right talking about the villagers and the the village and the mob right cuz he thinks that he has like nothing else to live for and so that's why he says that you know like just let the mob come into the castle like what does it matter I kind of Wonder like that's the scenario I'm imagining like a scenario where Claire's like it doesn't matter now like you know like I I I'm done for it like maybe in the scenario where you date thing she gets really like Deus because the person that she loves you know like it's like her her first love has fallen in love with someone else so why does anything matter you know like yeah so maybe it's something like that like never give up you know she made her promise never to give up maybe in the visual novel especially after the F rout maybe she gives up you know what I mean maybe she's like this is the only person I was in love with and now like no one else will ever love me you know and it's possible that like Claire has even Loved Someone out like you know what I mean we don't really know we know that thing is the person she has a crush on now but but maybe like in the past she's also loved someone too like a childhood friend here's my theory oh I just got it I just got it it just came to me okay wait what if Claire as a child was in love with a commoner like a childhood best friend but she was a commoner right okay do you guys see what I'm cooking and that's why she says the commoner is a commoner line because you know she was always told like how could you do this like you're so disappointing like what an embarrassment right so what if in the past she was in love with a commoner and that's why she said that commoner is a commoner thing because it disappointed her parents and they got mad that's what I could see I actually have like not to get into this too much because this is like irrelevant but I actually have these vtubers and like um I I won't yeah I won't get into it too much but basically like one of them has it's more of a story thing like it's using a the vtubers to sort of tell a story and one of the vtubers uh had has a backstory like that like that she was sort of the tutor of a princess and that they were in love but they couldn't be together and like all this stuff happens and like that's part of the backstory and like there there was this royalty commoner sort of situation and that their love was like forbidden so for some reason that just like occurred to me like the commoner is a commoner thing like what is she saying that and like what if that's why she hates Ray so much because Ray represents just like something else like you know like shameful or like forbid it like she's not supposed to you know you're not supposed to love the commoners right and so I wonder like that could we we could be cooking we could be cooking and maybe that's why like yeah the whole give up thing like yeah something like that I don't know anyway oh but the what I actually wrote down before I just like got that brain rot Claire says the commoner is a commoner line but Lane is also a commoner I wasn't sure if that applied to Lane but a comment clarified that even though Lane's wealthy's family she's still a commoner and so does it her Lane's feeling or is it that lay knows a commoner is not always a commoner because Claire has seen her differently so one day she could see Ray differently too that's what I wrote originally but now with this context like what if it's that lane knows because Lane knows about the girl or the guy I don't know that she was in love with before very spicy things are happening here right like you know I think that's that's interesting because like what if she was in love with a commoner once and she doesn't think it can happen again and that's why she hates Ray so much Ry like reminds her of that time in her life and like this person that she like was shamed by her parents and it could be this whole thing about like maybe that has something to do with her mom I don't know like there could be all this drama the drama guys okay anyway cuz what if the mask person this would be what's crazy what if the mask person is the commoner right that Claire was in love with once that would be insane because then that's why she's like the person that loved me is now leading the revolution against me that would be crazy that's some good that would be I should write something I'm trying that's the whole point of my vtuber thing is that you know just for people that are interested I guess all these vtubers are going to have they're all based off of fairy tale characters and they're all going to have their backstory and I'm going to play all of them sort of there's only five that's still a lot but then there're going to be like other stories and stuff and it's going to be this whole thing uh but yeah this person what if this person right these Hood Mass wait that girl with the silver hair we haven't seen her did I even notice her before sussy sussy I don't know oh damn all the boys are watching yeah I know she probably knows how how he plays in because of the game you know what I mean like the moves he's most likely to make you're just predictable oh man but you're not as good as me oh okay wait but did she let him win so their love wouldn't oh oh oh my God ah she's a little blushy I see it oh my God commoner this commoner that oh I don't know this is suspicious what does it mean Revolution wait a minute the otone game is called Revolution that does not fill me with hope in my heart that does not fill me that's not good that's a little sus suspicious especially for like our purpose that means like that there could be an uprising or something you know oh no yeah see and she was probably going easy on him because like yeah you know what I mean she was trying to get it to go down it didn't work oh [ __ ] is she actually jealous is she or is it just that like what I'll look at all these girls after you he's so I'm so suspicious oh they she wants to play H oh hey don't help her does he like her wait a minute what if he likes her but she likes thing and you know there's a thing right damn oh my god oh man why are you exposing us right now that's not nice oh my goodness okay well sure oh she's like you can ask me to do anything Prince you you know yeah don't ruin this for her don't you know oh oh he's so nice he's so sus yeah see that's what I thought yeah see that's not vulgar that's not that's a normal idea oh [ __ ] they're childhood friends oh no oh Secret it's not a secret to me [ __ ] worst kept secret I don't know how to play poker so I cannot help damn oh [ __ ] oh see he broke her Poker Face though right he's trying to distract them uhoh oh damn oh boy oh no she's mad oh I love her little sparkly really oh well yeah I guess so but what is she's just pretending oh unless he's lying oh [ __ ] this reminds me of yacht see how you can swap your dice and roll again if you don't want them oh man oh my God she can barely control [Music] herself oh is far of aind better than Full House yeah wait a minute wait he's cheating that little [ __ ] I knew it I knew that like do you guys remember when I was like the f booys playing music oh oh a harp a man after my own heart oh oh ah GL oh it was wonderful though I would have romanced him if this was real it would have been me he looks like Vesper and he plays the heart oh no no oh no come on they have to do no this is a dialogue from the game no that's not true oh see she knows okay right okay I don't understand but how is this going to help okay oh okay damn is he embarrassed oh I think she rigged it oh damn is he shipping them together oh no oh boy you know what they should all just be in a poly CLE she's like you have my permission go right ahead oh man oh oh my God this is so funny oh he's blushing too unless she's trying to give something that puts them together oh oh they've been communicating that's so smart I wonder if I would have been able to notice that cheating damn oh but what if she's in love with her what why is she trying to put her with f is it just like temporary like you know what I mean like poly c yeah what is happening yeah that's what I'm wondering too well maybe Claire needs to know whether or not her and th would be good for each other before she's ever to consider someone else you know I knew that they were going to ask them to kiss or something this is fun I like this it's like I don't know it reminds me of something else [Music] oh H uh oh oh [ __ ] but she knows the right answer oh she's gonna say it was the like yeah yeah yeah yeah exactly I I knew it I knew it I knew it she like it was all a test right so that's how you know if you're going to be a good King because you can't just blindly you know damn that's so good no but it went well damn but like it worked out right no yeah of course she was oh my God but like now is that g to wreck stuff with f like is that GNA be a problem the show is going to give me problems heart problems are you what they call a homosexual what okay the fact that they are you what they kill oh my God what's wrong Claire oh oh my God this this this anime solved homophobia is she of course I am that was not convincing at all oh my god oh okay oh damn oh my God I did not expect this anime to get serious yeah oh I don't think that she's straight though because you know oh well that's nice oh oh okay well I'm more with her I'm more with Lane you know that's more how I feel right so I like how they're addressing this that she's like but it does matter for me you know this was this was really good like you know what I mean I did not expect that oh my goodness what oh wait she knew that is that why she was helping her get with thing because she just wants to see her be happy oh no what wait so she knows Claire has two wait wait what that's because will Claire never love her oh wait she just found out that they cheated oh no oh I see because Claire in the game I guess isn't like yeah oh wow this like recontextualizes the past two episodes oh oh she just wants Clara to be happy oh that's so nice so she knew that like it may not ever go her way oh so it's like she won't give up loving her but she'll try to make her happy I don't know man I feel like that Claire has thoughts about that I feel like that Claire's still thinking about that like of course I'm straight that's what I'm thinking about of course I am maybe that's why her mom like there's this complicated thing a a that's so sad [Music] uhoh there's homophobia oh no oh dear oh [ __ ] I hope Claire shuts their ass down no oh well never mind I thought that wait oh [ __ ] [Music] she heard them oh my God damn so she just now she's bullying other people yes see I saw it too I saw it I was there ah I would I thought so no oh [Music] no so she made them even I see I see oh [ __ ] oh man I guess so oh look at these two oh [ __ ] they're hiding her eyes no oh she's blushing though guys this is getting so good this is getting so interesting oh this is such a good episode oh my God this episode gave me heart palpitations though cuz like there was just so much going on like first you had the game with Rod then you had the thing with Fain then you had the thing with you what a good episode I think that this one's my favorite so far you know and then they had that serious conversation out of nowhere but I'm glad I guess now we have confirmation that Ray is a lesbian but CLA like the way that she said of course I am like I no I'm not convinced at all right so maybe my theory is right that she did love another girl but that girl was a commoner maybe she wasn't even a commoner maybe she was just another girl and it was like not allowed and so she got like she got in trouble but it would be better if it was a commoner cuz then there would be conflict of like the person I used to love is leading the revolution right but still maybe she just loved someone else you know like another Royal person and like I don't know maybe like we still have no context about some people in the trailer so I feel like that we need to you know maybe we'll find out but I'm like definitely like suspicious of about Claire and like oh this like oh she like how she brushed that off very quickly like I feel like that like now that we know there's homophobia like I didn't know there was homop phobia in this world right I kind of thought it was like Ruby where there wasn't any [Music] oh oh damn okay so there's actually going to be like some fighting next week okay but what I was going to say is like I I didn't really know that there was going to be homophobia I kind of figured that it was like Ruby which is like like oh it's a fantasy world where like there's no homophobia and no discrimination except in Ruby there's Fest discrimination right like it didn't occur to me that characters would be homophobic in universe and so now in terms of my CLA back story like I feel like that like that could be something that could be something right there like that could be why like maybe again that thing with her mom that we don't know about is weird and then like all that other stuff even the stuff in this episode like she said like Ray said I'm not the only one who's had a hard love life so like do she know something about Claire like was that what it was implying like I think that like that was definitely suspicious let me actually go I'm going to go look at that again I'm not the only one who had painful romantic experiences that's what Ray said even though the show is not loading that's what the subtitles said so like did CLA have one two and Ry knows about it right because that's interest because she says that like she never had hopes for CLA to return her feelings but that could just be because she's in love with Fain not because she's straight you know something like that something going on but Claire definitely like I love that scene of Claire standing up and like bullying those people for her this is my favorite Trope this is my my favorite character archetype is I am a terrible person but I will be terrible to the people that are terrible to the girl that I'm in love with you know what I mean like I wouldn't even say it's it's not yandere but it's just like you know some people see like child from genjin Impact like that like child is part of the foule if you don't know spoilers for genjin I guess right and so people like a lot of the way that people a lot of the way the way that people write child is that sort of archetype like this character that um this character that like they're a bad person and they're part of the fouille but for the traveler like they're good or they'll fight people because they hurt the traveler like they will use their evil the evil in their heart to protect the person they care about another example would of course be I think Neo and Roman from from Ruby right like they're terrible people but they love each other like they will you know they are criminals but they will like and they will [ __ ] up a [ __ ] you know like Roman will [ __ ] someone up if they like look at Neo the wrong way like they're terrible people but they're madly in love with the one person that they're in love with and that's the only person they're nice to and that's kind of what I see CLA getting towards eventually I mean she still was just like like of course I still hate you but like obviously it's a lie it's a lie I think that I had a lot of fun with this episode it was really really good like I was on the edge the entire time edge of my seat it was so good but yeah I hope that you guys enjoyed I don't really have anything else to add really I think that like again the conversation the conversation about being gay like I had no idea that they'd have a conversation like that in the show at all and so now I can sort of like reformulate my theories but I kind of I kind of am attached to that Claire was in love with a commoner and now that commoner is leading the Revolution and it's going to be a whole thing and that maybe Claire got in trouble with her parents because it was a a no no because it seems like there's homophobia in the world now so that's important context anyway all that being said I hope you guys enjoyed I hope you guys had fun thank you for attending collac
