done for your people lord we love you lord we're believing for a great day today we're believing lord the pastor is going to speak in every heart into every mind lord your word lord lives are going to praise god well they searched all over and i'm so glad that we found him aren't you oh that day that they came and they said these words we have found him of whom moses and the prophets did testify about i'm glad today that religion is man searching for god we're not a religion this morning we're salvation today religion searches but salvation says i found him i found him i'm so glad that i found him today [Applause] let's go to god in prayer this morning and if you have a need in the presence of god his holy angels i want you to lift your hand up right now if you haven't you have a name amen my daughter will tell you sometimes i i make up songs i i i'm not going to degrade songwriters and tell you that i write songs i just make up songs amen if i can't understand what they're saying i'll put my own words to it i'll be singing it and foul and say dead that's not how that part goes i said that's how it goes to me amen and my singing wasn't nowhere near as pretty as theirs but this morning i got up singing miracles signs and wonders miracles signs and wonders i know that's the tune that she's coming around the mountain but i i kept saying miracle signs and wonders miracle signs and wonders miracle signs and wonders so what's going to happen right now we believe miracle signs and wonders miracle signs and wonders miracles signs and wonders i have a very special unspoken request and the precious family that's watching today knows that we have uh agreed together in prayer over this need and have a very special and spoken request today and also want us to lift up uh the mooney family uh in prayer uh brother mooney and sister mooney brother mooney serves as one of the assistant uh general superintendents for the united pentecostal church and uh his wife sister mooney passed away a few days ago and i know that family has got a very uh a very heavy heart today in that calvary tabernacle has got a very heavy heart today the services will be tomorrow and tuesday but could i take word to them that on our sunday morning service we specifically took the mooney family in prayer and lifted up would you help me pray let's let's pray first for them god you are the god of all comfort you are the god of all comfort today lord i've lost a loved one i've lost several loved ones god in the pain and the emptiness god that that's there i i pray today for brother mooney i pray for those children today and those grandchildren today i asked your father that you would touch and god that local congregation lord i pray that you would give them the healing and you would give them the comfort god that they need father that unsp that unspoken request today that husband and wife god that's in need of your touch this morning i ask you lord in the name of jesus let your healing power be upon them father i pray today for every uplifted hand jesus every need that's in this building today lord i thank you today god for touching joseph millsaps this week lord i thank you today god for touching sister crowder this week and i thank you for touching sister croucher this week lord father i thank you for all the healings god and the protection of things that we didn't even know we were being protected from god i just thank you lord jesus for all that you've done make a way lord make a way lord miracle signs and wonders for us today god lord make a way i give you all the praise and all the glory in jesus wonderful name we pray before your city give the lord a great big hand of praise right now thank you thank you and as you're seated and our they begin to sing and place for your place of worship today we've got a great number of guests from out of town that's with us this morning i know sheriff cheshire was proposed to yesterday for marriage so her future her future husband and in-laws are here so we we want to say yeah to you today amen amen amen the lights went out amen i hope that's not a sign or something you know but we welcome we welcome you all we welcome you this morning uh we also are honored to have two great missionary families uh one of the families actually live here in maryville and brother sister naming and sister alice and mother-in-law and sarah a daughter and why don't we just say sarah and just leave the rest of them out all right we just talk about sarah but we're glad the namies have made maryville uh they're homo we're thankful to have them our missionaries to the philippines and um doing a great work and then our missionaries to asia today brother randy and sister debbie watts would you all stand right now and uh just remain standing for just a moment [Applause] um brother naomi has this kind of ministry but several years ago it dawned finally dawned on us that going into a country and throwing a big crusade praying a bunch of people through and then leaving was just not getting the job done and so um they begin ministries of going in opening bible colleges up and teaching teaching teaching teaching teaching the word of god and because of that we're seeing an exponential growth in in our our works in our in our numbers more than likely more than likely the mission field the churches the churches outside of the u.s and the membership outside of the us and the in the aljc outnumber outnumber what's inside of the u.s today you say well man that's that's an issue that's not an issue that's a great that's a great blessing that's a that's a tremendous blessing one mama and a bunch of children amen and so brother and sister watts we love you we thank you they're doing deputation right now and didn't we have a wonderful time in sevierville on tuesday night in god's hand these are great missionaries right here brother and sister watts would you give them another hand today and again to all of our guests let's welcome all of our guests thank you so much thank you so much thank you so much for being with us case you don't know this i want to take just a moment and tell you that the family of first apostolic church of maryville is a very special very special god-ordained group of people it's a very special it's a very special congregation and this congregation believes in the gospel this congregation just doesn't come to church here they believe they are the church they are the church we don't just have church on sunday and wednesday we are the church we are the church continually we are continually the church and that's proven by our apostolic christian academy day care start with ages six weeks old we have babies every morning monday through friday from 6 30 a.m to 6 p.m little babies six weeks old are brought here and then children two-year-olds three-year-old four-year-olds are brought here and it's a tremendous it's a tremendous ministry and these these ladies that work at the daycare uh they they believe they're in the ministry they don't believe they're just doing a matter of fact we tell them if you're coming here for a paycheck this is the wrong place for you to be if you're coming here if you're coming here just to get paid you don't really need to come here because this this is a ministry these teachers get a burden for these children these teachers get a burden for the parents and they begin to pray that's that's the reason today that on these pews as i speak are former daycare parents that first got introduced to the church through the daycare and now they're baptized spirit-filled living for god as a matter of fact the keynotes some of the most missionary minded saints that go to church here were first daycare parents at this church they were first daycare parents and then they got into the church here and got the burden for missions and so it's a very special first apostolic church is a very special it's a very special congregation it's a congregation for example that wednesday night pastor put the plow deep i'm gonna tell you if if you if you wore your feelings on your on your sleeves wednesday night you not only got your feelings knocked off you got your arm knocked off all right but you know something a church that can't be preached to is not a church at all and the altar is filled up and i i think we spent a good half hour in the altar matt that pastor didn't even get finished with his bible lesson that folks came around the alternate good touch and some very straight directed preaching the next morning i was awakened by phone call after phone call after phone call i mean phone call after phone call after phone call text message after text message after text message pastor thank you for preaching to us last night pastor thank you for that message last night thank you thank you pastor for getting us back online thank you thank you pastor that's what kind of church this is that's what kind of church this is it's kind of church that a pastor has a birthday he wakes up and i think the last i think the first count that i had i had a 167 text messages that's fun turning responding back to that but 167 that's just text messages cards i've got a whole shopping bag full of uh full of cards i'll be able to eat at a restaurant we'll be able to eat at restaurants for the rest of the year and probably not cost us a dime i mean just a and you're you're a tremendous congregation you show that you show that you show that love so so very very much as a matter of fact when we try just to breeze through a birthday or we try to breeze through a christmas there's people in this church that just come and they'll just say if you don't say something about this today i'm going to step up there and say something but not only does the pastor just have a birthday but our first lady next week is going to have she's going to have a birthday and i'll let her tell you how she's going to be but on july the 4th this coming week she's going to celebrate another birthday she said i always knew she was a firecracker baby she said growing up for the longest time she thought those fireworks fireworks were all about her she just as a little kid would watch the fireworks and think she said it dawned on her one day that those fireworks were not about were not about her but a woman that fears the lord she shall be praised and there's none better to praise her like her children there's none better that's the bible there's none better to praise her like her chill we're going to receive our tithe today but as we receive our tithe it's a special opportunity if you would like to give a gift a monetary gift to first lady a lady that does work hard a lady that that um i i showed her to think today where i would be without the influence and the support of my precious wife as a matter of fact for the before the girls come today i want you to give first lady a great big honor to whom honor honor to whom honor is due honor to whom honor is dude oh honor to whom honor is due today you may be seated thank you for standing praise the lord honor to whom honor is due i'd like for flannery to join me up here as well and we're just going to say a few things about our first lady what what do you give a first lady who literally gives away everything that you that you try to give to her um and last year i believe we did 30 days of prayer and fasting and i know that that blessed her body soul and spirit and i do want to say thank you to all the ladies that participated in that but i'd like to i know pastor did this um he did this i believe a few years ago it was right when we moved into this building he had everyone stand that first lady had taught a bible study to and to me that's the greatest testimony and i'm i'm the first one to stand because she taught me the word of god if first lady has ever taught you a bible study would you please stand here today that is beautiful would you would you give her a big hand for that her drive and her burden daily her heartbeat is souls and i have i have witnessed that growing up being able to grow up and hear her prayers and just the wisdom beyond her years is just absolutely amazing to all of us um she she is a counselor anything that i ever need i know exactly where to go and any anybody that brings me in need i know my mama has got an answer and she is a woman of prayer and i'm so thankful for that i'm thankful for the example that she has given this church of holiness she is a woman that professeth holiness every day and i'm so thankful that that vision has not only been imparted into her children but the ladies of this church i'm thankful that i can i have daughters that can look at ladies throughout this church that has taken the lead and that's what mom and dad has always told us they're like fallon this church can be led and we are so so blessed for that and god is doing a mighty work and our family we me and brother erickson and the girls we went away for a few days and um wow what a service wednesday night and we just uh we watched it we didn't have very good internet where we were at on wednesday but we watched it on the way home and you could just feel the burden of that come upon us and god is doing a mighty and a powerful work miracle signs and wonders and i am so so thankful for that but today i give our first lady honor on her birthday week and i love you mom and uh god bless you sister flannery if you want to come and say a few words well sister carpenter i just want to tell the church verse that you guys are blessed with the most amazing first lady and i'm just so honored to be called your daughter now from the first time that i met sister carpenter she was so kind to me and just took me in as her own and i've never not felt loved by you she is a true example of holiness like sister ericson said i find myself more and more each day wanting to spend time with her because of the amazing influence that she is and i know she's an influence on all the ladies here she's just an amazing person lives by this truth day in and day out and every vacation i've ever been on with them she i find her praying in the morning we don't the day does not start until she gets done with her prayer time and i listen to her pray over this church over these people over me and over her family and she just is a true example of who i want to be just a godly woman and you guys are so blessed i'm so blessed to know her and to have her in my life we love you and we honor you happy birthday thank you sister planner sister carpenter i would like um and i'm kind of getting like dad i guess the older i get i'm 34. i would like to bless sister carpenter our first lady again with a month of prayer and fasting and from all the ladies of this church could i get 30 ladies that would stand and say that i will fast one day and have 30 minutes of prayer for our first lady that god would continue well i think we're gonna have a lot more than a month right here that god would continue to anoint her with health god would bless her body and soul and spirit to continue to lead us in the ways of god uh i'm gonna try to just count real quick one two i would say there's right around 75 maybe 80 ladies standing right here right now let's give god a hand of praise for that what i would like to do and i i know i'm i'm catching everybody off guard but sister marla if we could get a sign up in the lobby and i'd like to make sure that we spread this out over 75 80 days how many ladies that's represented here and if you will just send first lady a text on that day and i believe that god is going to do a mighty work um through our first lady in the upcoming year you can just feel the shift and i know god is preparing us for a mighty outpouring of souls of prodigals that's going to be coming in of our children that are coming home we're getting testimonies when we got in town last night our phone was ringing of people uh prodigals coming home and even maybe some lost sheep that have been in this church that have been wandering and i was so encouraged as we were on our way home today and i'm just so thankful if we could all stand and let's pray over this offering and ask god yes ma'am first lady let's give her a big hand as she comes she's going to speak to us this morning well i can't let the offering go without giving a testimony today first of all let me say i'm unworthy of any word that has been said but yesterday in my in my bible reading brother carmen we were talking about it last night in my bible reading yesterday i was reading where the children of israel when they were led to the the red sea that that cloud that led them moved to the backside of them and it gave them light but it gave pharaoh and his men darkness it gave evil darkness and i'm just thankful for a god if we will cry out to him if we will live righteously he will be the guidance that we need and then when he takes us where we need to be what he's going to do is get on the backside of us and be allowed to us to show us the path but he will also show darkness to our enemy who's trying to destroy us if we will just walk in brightly we can claim every promise that he has for us i don't care who you are it doesn't matter what your last name is kenny and penny carpenter we're a testimony it doesn't matter what your last name is what your pedigree is or is not but god is a provider and he has made the way for every one of us that will walk uprightly he's no respecter of persons then that cloud that will lead us will get on the backside and it will confuse our enemy now what greater life could you ever live than for him to make that pathway for us and give us light and then give darkness to our enemy and confuse him let's just pray over this offering i don't deserve a dime of it but i do know who's worthy i know that god's worthy and if there's any good in anybody in this room it's the mercy of god it's his spirit that lives within us that leads us that is the block to our enemy let's pray right now together let's pray out loud lord we thank you god that you have been that light to our pathway and you do confuse the plan that the enemy has to destroy our children to destroy our marriages lord i thank you for your hands that's been on every one of us lord help us as a congregation to walk up proudly before you to put you first in everything we do that you will lead the way and you will protect us in everything i ask you to bless these precious people the never that are here today is a testimony that we trust you we god we depend on you in every situation strengthen the weak encourage the discouraged lord i ask you lord to heal our land oh god of all the turmoil lord we cry out to you god throughout the bible when your people would cry out you would hear our prayers heal our lives touch and live oh god give our president our leaders give them wisdom touch everyone that's afraid that's depressed i ask you to strengthen the weak in this place in jesus name we pray and everybody say amen one three and five if you will go ahead and prop this morning somebody i think his brother tony said that um props in a sermon make a bad preacher better all right so i've got a i've got a prop this morning and i will put my prop here for just a moment i didn't give those scriptures this one scripture i didn't give the team this morning but there is a scripture in acts chapter 2 and verse number 40 that after peter told them and answered their question men and brethren what shall we do he kind of ended it by saying save yourselves from this untoward generation and toward meaning a perverse a generation that is not going toward god save yourself from this untoward culture the first century church lived in a culture and the 21st century church lives in a culture we are the church we are the church but we are living in a culture that is unlike any culture before and what can best describe this culture is that everybody's right and nobody's wrong unless you tell them they're wrong we're living in a culture we're living in a culture when everyone is right everyone is right and you're only wrong if you claim exclusively to have the right way then you're wrong kind of goes kind of goes like this there's three categories there's the god care category and that's where god expresses himself through his word and whatever god's word says that's it the bumper sticker says god said it i believe it and it's so you could leave a lot off that bumper sticker but i just simply said god said it and it's so whether we believe it or not doesn't add to or take away from what god has said so there's a category of god's word it is absolute it is absolute and then there comes the column there comes the column of where people derive what they believe and perceive to be right by numbers by numbers majority everybody don't we hear this sometimes when we're trying to tell people about category number one god what do we hear why everybody's doing it so they begin to base their morals and decisions based on numbers majority and the third category the third category is people that will say i know what i believe in my heart i know what i believe in my heart i know what's in my heart and they're all right with that until you tell them what's in your heart and then you can't stand there and have the difference they want to go to the category of the majority they bounce back and forth save yourselves from this untoward generation the bible is the absolute final say for man it's the absolute final say you see this is a level and any building that has been built has been built with a man that knew how to use this level because the structure of the building windows opening and closing correctly have got to do with this doors closing and opening correctly have got to do with this the the ability of a wall to be able to hold weight has got to do with this they take this this level and they read and they get it right in the center and they get it level and that's where they'll nail it down that's where they'll nail and make sure that everything is level you know today this this is really like the word of god this is really like the word of god because this word of god comes into our lives it's the only thing it's the only thing that can build you up a life worth living is the word of god it comes into our lives and sometimes we come and we hear the word of god and the word of god tells us hey you're a little off you're just a little off so i have to start conforming to the level i have to start conforming they take the they may have to to get a hammer out begin to hit until i begin i conform to this but you see we live in a day is it amazing how crazy the world is the world expels god's word in god's prayer 1960-something from from schools students were no longer allowed to pray and teachers and all that business in a classroom now nowadays they can go outside and go around a flagpole if they want to you know but god forbid that a teacher would stand there and lead that class in prayer so they they push god outside of the public schools and then years later we start having school shootings and bombings and the first question people want to ask is where was god well i can tell you where god's at way back there in 1962 you told him to get out and this is what a school looks like with god out of the life right what happens in our world today because there's no absolutes because to stand and say you absolutely believe something you better get ready for some fire you better get ready for some bullets to come because here's how the world does the bible today see my life's a little out of square so guess what i do brother randy i won't do this to your level i begin to bend this to fit me so i get a lifestyle that the bible calls an abomination so what do i do i leave column one where it's god's word solely that says the final word [Music] and i go to the majority and i begin to build and bend this to say look now it reads correctly well it only reads correctly because you've been you've bent this so today i want us all to understand something we must have the word of god in our lives we must listen to it taught we must listen to it preached we must have personal times of reading and when we find that our lives are out of square we must allow the word of god we must bend back to this and not have this been to us if you have your bibles and would stand with me for a few moments today isaiah chapter number one verses two and three isaiah chapter one verses two and three are you ready for the are you ready for the level here o heavens and give ear o earth for the lord hath spoken i have nourished and brought up children and they have rebelled against me the ox knoweth everybody say knoweth say it again please the ox knoweth his owner and he asked his master's crib but my people doth not no would you say that word again no my people doth not no my people doth not consider john chapter 1 and verse number 10 and verse 11 and the gospel john 1 and verse number 10 and 11 speaking of jesus christ he was in the world and the world was made by him and the world knew him not he came unto his own and his own received him not more than just a ritual would you put your bible down would you ask god today to help you to receive the word of god father help us to receive the level of the word of god today help us god to have a revelation that your word is the sole authority in any matter in our life lord we believe today that you're one god because your word declares you to be one lord we believe today god what we believe because your word declares what we believe we do what we do god i pray today that you would help us to receive the word of god it's the only thing that can change us jesus name we pray amen and amen you may be seated it was yesterday morning i've been having such wonderful fellowship for the last month or so with brother darren and his mother and grandmother moved here from california along with brother darren we've been having such a wonderful fellowship um brother darren his father was an apostolic minister and his grandfather was an apostolic minister and sister boy we began talking yesterday and your son gave me my title uh your son gave me the title because he said my grandfather used to say they don't know that they don't know and that's what i want to preach teach a few minutes on they don't know that they don't know would you say that with me they don't know that they don't know now we live in a world today that can be categorized by that statement they don't know that they don't know it's nothing new israel lost out with god through rebellion israel lost out with god because when he said you'll have no other gods before me and worship no image somehow they justified it i don't know if they started saying things like what those are such good people down there at bell's temple do you know there are some matter of fact some of those folks down there at asteroth's temple that temple where you take your firstborn baby and stoke the furnace hot and take your firstborn baby so that you'll have the blessings of of the goddess asteroth how you if you're going to raise a family and and you attended the pagan uh a temple of asteroth and you were going to raise a family the first child was the seed blessing now what that meant was asteroth demanded that you take your firstborn child stoke the furnace hot it was a furnace that had two arms that stuck out like this and you stoked the furnace as red hot as you could do and so that asteroth would bless the rest of your children that would come out of your wife's womb you laid your firstborn baby in the burning arms of asteroth all right now i wonder if some conversations didn't go on such as this you know so many people down that asteroid's temple they're they're they're better than some of the folks at jehovah's temple you know they they live better and do better as if that justifies us to be able to bend this but you see we live in a world today have i told you we live in a world today where everybody's right everybody's right everybody's right and you're only wrong if you claim to have only one way then you're narrow-minded divisive guilty of hate speech because you're standing up and saying that there's only one way can i tell you today that we can bend the bible to say anything we want it to say but if you want to build a life that will stand the test of tribulation and time you better bend your life to line up with this and don't bend this to line up with your life over the years i've tried to get a little wise in my speech and stop saying well this is what i believe because that's where the world wants you in the arena of man to man but our power today comes in the fact that we say this is what the word of god teaches see the bible says that god he said i nourished up children i brought them up he said but they rebelled then he used an analogy in verse three he said the ox noah look at that word knoweth the ox knoweth his owner and the ass knows his master's crib in other words animals knew number one who they belonged to and where they belonged oh if we could just learn if we could just get on the level of the animals today god said at least the ox and the donkey know who they belong to and know where they belong he said my people don't they don't know either can i tell you we belong to god we are god's property it's not your own life to live you belong to god but god gave you a free choice he gave us free choice today and we can use that free choice to please him or we can use that to displease god it's our choice it's our choice nobody can make you nobody can make us do anything we choose to do it but i want you to know something i i if if you do if you don't hear anything that i teach for the rest of the the bible lesson i want you to go home with this you do have the power of choice but you don't have the power of consequence you can choose what to do but you can't choose the consequences of it when you choose what to do that's where god either steps in and says i'm going to bless that or i'm going to give you some consequence choose whatever you want to do you can you don't choose how it have the outcome that's left up to god they know they don't know they don't know that they don't know i don't want to fit in that category that we don't know that we don't know and the only way that we can fit in that category that you don't know that you don't know is not to know the word because if you know the word then the word's going to tell you what you need to do the word's going to tell you who you belong to the word's going to give you some dignity about you that you're not some product of a cosmic collision called a evolution you're not the product of some monkey some tadpole and some evolution of man you are the product of the creation of an almighty god who had an almighty plan who loves you in a way that is unimaginable he loves you today oh he loves you today i know who my i know who my owner is i know who my owner is today but if i decide i have the choice not read not concentrate not obey i can do all of those things today i can look at this and say it's old-fashioned it's outdated it's old-fashioned it's outdated it doesn't work in this culture doesn't work in this culture you you do realize today that our foundational papers the constitution of the united states i personally believe i personally believe that it is an anointed document i believe that the united states was prophetically foretold to be the nation that we are now do not put the constitution equal i did not say it's infallible and inerrant but i do believe the constitution of the united states of america is an anointed document because those men were seeking to be able to worship the god of the bible not the god of the state they wanted freedom to worship the god of the bible so i believe today the constitution is an anointed document but there are several people that look at the doc the constitution differently some teach and they have the power to interpret it that it is a living document and by living they say that document flows down through the history of the united states and whatever circumstance or situation that document comes over as we as a nation that that document has the answer to solve whatever problems we may have while striving to have a more perfect union that that document can help us to overcome civil wars that that document can help us to understand that all men are created equal and are endowed by many inalienable rights but then there's others does this sound familiar there's others that teach that the document must be reviewed and changed as cultures change they do the same thing with the bible the bible is the eternal word of god jesus christ said heaven and earth will pass away this is another sign of his deity this is another sign that jesus is god heaven and earth will pass away but my words shall never pass away that's it he's god that he's eternal so when god speaks his word is eternal so when god gave us his word his reason his instruction we cannot as a people in a different culture in the 21st century look around we're influenced by what we see we're influenced by what we hear we're influenced by what we've been taught we cannot look at this and say well i know that the bible says this but you've got to understand where we're living today can i tell you that we need to go back to this level and allow this level even in the church today even in our church it would amaze you the ruffled feathers that come when we lift up our voice against sin well brother carpenter i know somebody and and and and and and and they're just so good and i just hate that they they they i just hate that they came to church and they heard you say what they are they heard you say that and now they're not gonna come back let's just bend this then because after all we need to have a seeker-friendly church don't we don't we need to have a secret friendly church don't we need to have a church you know what's wrong with the secret friendly church you know what's wrong with that mentality to have a secret friendly church you know make everything relevant don't have anything that resembles a church no crosses i mean the preachers got to have a square group tea and square glasses and and have a shirt tail out and have some mood candles lit and some dark things because we got to be relevant man crosses make people uncomfortable bodies of water make people uncomfortable talking about blood nails and sin that'll make them uncomfortable can i tell you what's the the number one problem the seeker friendly movement is they assume everybody's seeking for god can i tell you what the level says the level says there's none that seeketh after god there's none that seeketh after me as a matter of fact the level says in ecclesiastes 7 and 9 would y'all like to know what the level says about humanity the level says in ecclesiastes chapter 9 verse or excuse me ecclesiastes chapter 7 verse number 29 lo this only have i found. that god hath made man upright but they have sought out many envisions this is what to say that everybody's seeking after god is a fallacy humanity is not seeking after god they're seeking after satisfaction they're seeking after pleasure so isn't it just like the old devil to get churches so seeker friendly that we forget why we've come in the first place i didn't come here today so that a sinner could feel comfortable in our presence i'm just going to be flat honest with you today i came here brought my family here raised my family here because i wanted to give praise and honor to the one true and living god i want it to be said on this sunday morning that i lifted up my voice and gave god present praise because the word said enter it to his courts with thanksgiving and into his gates with praise be thankful unto him and bless his name come on praise him with me for just a moment would you please come on love him with me just a moment i i didn't come so a sinner would feel comfortable i didn't come here today so a sinner would feel feel comfortable in this place i came here to worship god can we forget well honesty what i'm just so concerned you know i'm gonna bring some people with me brother carpenter what would be the most reserved service we have we know you can't hardly tell one of our services for the other we may have a camp well i'd like to bring so and so in a night where we're not doing all you know because after all we want to be a secret friendly church no we don't we want to be a god-fearing god-worshiping church because my level says my level says if we try to be a seeker sensitive church their back door is bigger than their front door they're losing more people than they're gaining but my level says if i be lifted up i will draw all men unto me can i tell you what your neighbor needs today is not a quiet church that resembles what they come out of it they need a bunch of people on every pew fervently passionately praising and worshiping god that's whatever pew needs because after all the reason i'm here today is to praise him no other reason but to praise him i didn't come to socialize i didn't come to see who's wearing water who's not wearing what i didn't come to see who showed up and who didn't show up i came to praise ye the lord to praise god in his sanctuary to praise him in the firmament of his power to praise him for his mighty acts to praise him according to his excellent greatness praise him with the sound of the trumpet praise him with a suffering heart praise him with the timbrel and dance praise him with stringed instruments and organs praise him upon the loud sounding symbols praise him upon the high sounding symbols let everything that had breath praise ye the lord that's what i came to do today oh i want to be on the level am i praising the lord like i ought to am i living for god i know i'm tired i know i've been in the church a long time but do i still have my praise do i still have my worship oh i forgot to tell you that secret friendly bible reads this way let everybody new to the church praise the lord that everybody just got in but folks that have been in for a while you have the right to sit as observers and judges are we going to let this change us or are we going to change yes you get it right [Applause] i'm being clear as muddy water today are we going to let the word change us or are we going to change the word come on that's why a lot of folks walk crooked that's why the windows of heaven won't open for some folks that's why you always feel like you got a shut door in your life if you don't use a level you doors won't shut good well let me go on god made us upright but we have sought after many inventions we've got to find something else to make us happy see in jeremiah chapter 10 let me tell you about us today let me tell you about us today in jeremiah chapter 10 verse number 23 listen listen to oh lord i know that the way of man is not in himself it is not in man that walketh to direct his steps i'm sorry but you can't make life all alone you don't have the ability to do that you don't have the ability psalms chapter 119 verse 133 here's the prayer you ought to pray order my steps in thy word order my steps in thy word and let not any iniquity have dominion over me look at this it's not in you to direct your steps you don't know i don't care how educated you claim to be you don't know how to live you don't know i got it together no you don't have it together if you don't have a word you don't have the ability to direct your steps but if you'll pray this prayer lord show me how to walk lord show me the steps ought to take god show me my behavior how ought to live lord when i get a when i get a spirit inside of me that shouldn't be there tell me what i need to do lord tell me about how i need to repent and break myself before you and allow your spirit to expose my heart for what it is and lord if i can have the blood to wash me i can be a better man i can be a better christian i can be a better husband i can be a better wife you see what happened in the garden genesis 3 verses 4 and 5 the serpent said unto the woman ye shall not surely die now if i could say anything to you today and try to use a little analogy i could tell you don't eat the devil's sandwich don't eat the devil's sandwich because the devil's sandwich the first layer of bread is a lie the serpent said unto the woman you shall not surely die that's a lie for god doth know that in the day that you eat thereof then your eyes shall be opened now that's the truth that's the truth so now we got the first slice of bread that's a lie and now we got the truth laying there your eyes will be open sin will open your eyes sin has opened a many a person's eyes to the value of the ways of god they didn't appreciate the prodigal son you preached about it taught about him for several weeks the prodigal son didn't get the revelation of the beauty of the father's house until sin opened his eyes he puts the truth out your eyes will be open and here comes the final piece of bread that makes the lie and ye shall be as gods knowing good and evil that is where the lie comes in you will not be like god sin will not elevate you the bible said righteous exalteth a nation but sin is a reproach to any people please don't be deceived today get you the level of god's word and build your house according to god's word and when you know that it's it's the word of god speaks against it don't try to make excuses for it don't try to rationalize it out don't try to explain it away when the bible calls something the way that it is you need to stand up and say god if that's the behavior you want me to walk in then i will walk in that way your eyes are open let me tell you something about our eyes today the primary purpose god gave us our eyes is so that we could read his word so that we could read his word primary reason god gave us the eyes and do you know that many scientists that do not embrace christianity stumble at evolution when studying the eyes they say that there's no way that this could have ever evolved this wonderful thing of eyesight you say oh no brother karma god gives us eyes so we can see where we're going yes but that's not the primary reason god gave us eyes god gave us eyes so that we could read his word god gave us eyes so that we could read his word and act in accordance to god's word god didn't give us our eyes primarily for pleasure of entertainment see that's a problem too many people see things they're not educated about they see acts of sin on television and they're not truly it they're not truly understanding those acts of sin there lead to misery and destruction and death but when we don't have the word of god as our level we process this through the eyes of pleasure we look at it through the eyes you see when you look at something for pleasure and not information why a lot of people are dwarfed today in their walk with god is we spend too much time with our eyes looking at pleasurable things to the flesh and not enough time studying the word of god oh satan he sure did it that day because in a lot of ways their eyes were open their eyes were open but in a lot of ways their eyes were shut because in second corinthians chapter four and verse number six or excuse me verse number four speaking about satan it says in whom the god of this world hath blinded the minds of them which believe not lest the light of the glorious gospel of christ who is the image of god should shine unto them for we preach not ourselves but christ jesus the lord and ourselves your servants for jesus sake for god who commanded the light to shine out of darkness has shined in our hearts to give the light of the glory of the knowledge of the glory of god in the face of jesus christ satan had blinded the minds he had blinded the minds if we get all the things that are coming across entertainment and we never read our bibles we never read our bibles we never engage in the spirit we never truly dive deep into god's word then we're left wide open for the god of this world and he blinds our minds he he blinds you know what back to my title they don't know that they don't know they don't know either they're blinded that that part that the bible's a hard book to read that part that you really face something when you try to read your bible it's easier to sit down and watch two hours of television but you can't hardly have 20 minutes of reading your bible that's more than just it's a hard book there is a god a little g that wants to keep you as ignorant from that book as possible because he knows that the power is not in your shout the power is not in your prayer life the power is not in your church attendance but the power is in the preached word of god that's where you'll get your power from you'll get your power from the word of god [Applause] ephesians chapter 1 verse number 17 that the god of our lord jesus christ the father of glory may give you the spirit of wisdom and revelation of the knowledge of him the eyes of your understanding being enlightened the eyes of your understanding being enlightened there's no time to waste we need to get our eyes open we need to get our eyes open to what the level says that we need to do spirits that we've allowed to come into our lives rebellious spirits you ever noticed you feel a whole lot better when the preacher says you may be seated than he than you do when he says would you stand of course unless i ask you to stand when it's about time to close you ever notice some of the things that you would never question in a doctor's office get up on the table stick your tongue out say ah thump thump thump on your back takes a little hammer out hit your knees you never think one thing about that man or woman asking you to do that but come to church and somebody say would you raise your hands well i'll raise my hands when i want to raise my hand i don't know i don't know the time i don't raise my hand that's a spirit yeah i say hey you know that because my level says obey them you see we've got enough jim jones and david koresh and cult leaders that give us permission not to want to submit ourselves to the man that stands behind the pulpit may be seated god help me to have a i just heard the preacher say your word says submit myself god help me to submit myself god help me not try to bend this you know there was a preacher that went wrong and there was a guy that wasn't everything he said he should be because you'll never build a life you'll never build a life for god god help our eyes to be open god help us today to understand the value of the word you see why aren't we saying the same thing there's one god father son holy ghost in the name of jesus i baptize you in the name of father son holy ghost aren't we saying the same thing not when you read the word not when you read the word you see when you read the word you find out that baptism has nothing to do with joining a church baptism has nothing to do with saying you're following after christ well then what does it have to do with it has to do with a step in your salvation why because the word says be born again of the water and of the spirit and the word says he that believeth and is baptized shall be saved he that believeth not shall be damned and the word says then peter said unto them repent be baptized every one of you in the name of jesus christ for the remission of your sin and you shall receive the gift of the holy ghost and he commanded them to be baptized have you received the holy ghost since you believe come on it's not this come on young people come on students get you ahold of the word of god well father son holy ghost and he was talking to his father and for in him dwelleth all the fullness of the godhead bodily and ye are complete in him and great is the mystery of godliness god was manifested in the flesh scene of angels preaching to the gentiles believed on in the world received up into glory show us the father jesus and we'll be satisfied have i been so long time with you phillip and you don't know me he that has seen me has seen the father can i tell you i don't care how you cut that there's no three persons in the godhead and it matters and it matters and it matters what's that aren't we saying the same thing and it matters how do i know it matters because the word says jesus said unless you believe that i am he you shall die in your sins if you don't believe that i am he come on religion can bend religion can bend this to fit them but i don't want religion i want an apostolic a pastor-driven church i want to be in my life come on it does matter it does matter [Applause] you may be seated musicians would you come well brother carpenter we're we've slipped off down the road here to so-and-so's church well brother they don't even preach the truth down there well they do they they they do everything uh they they've got they've got a little card it's amazing how people are bending this try to fit them he said there's a little card that when you go back in their room to be baptized that you can mark on it you can check on it the traditional mode and that's repeating the words father son holy ghost or you can mark you want to be baptized in jesus name or you can mark that to say nothing at all like i said they don't preach the truth i didn't say they're not good people i didn't say they're not morally good people but i am saying they don't preach the truth because heaven and earth will pass away but my word shall not pass away [Applause] that's why you're here today if you're here today if you're here today and you've not been water baptized in jesus name i've got water i've got a change of clothes and it don't matter if it's before 12 noon or after 12 noon this church would love to see you obey the truth and to be baptized in jesus name today well i go down there to that church that we we shout we talk in tongues we don't have to do a lot of the things that you say we have to do as a matter of fact i couldn't tell you when's the last time i've heard even heard the word holiness because that's that's a word that's a word that gets people uncomfortable if the intellectual gets uncomfortable at the blood then the backslidden apostolic gets uncomfortable with the word holiness they don't really matter they don't without holiness no man shall see the lord well it only matters what's in your heart that's not what my level says my level says therefore glorify god in your body and in your spirit which are gods i'm not only to glorify god in my heart i'm to glorify god with my body there are certain things about my body that the culture may say that's old-fashioned the culture may say we don't do that anymore but i'm not being led by the culture i'm being led by the word of god come on up here son-in-law come on up here daughter-in-law come on up here granddaughter come on up here i'm going to tell you something this man wasn't a god in my house if you hadn't leveled up with that right there you know how you can keep your kids from marrying folks that don't believe this size them up before they get in i got so aggravated one night as you maybe see that little has a boy come around here from another state he got sweet on on lauren and he was out of my ballpark when he sent worked here i want to fly you to where i live you come stay the weekend we'll fly you and you can stay with some people in the church let me tell you something bum some of us are more protective over our car than we are our kids you wouldn't just hand your car keys just anybody you wouldn't just hand your car keys to somebody you saw for the first time at church oh here's my car go ahead dear god we'll give our kids away two legs two arms two eyes man you know then we we asked the pertinent important question where you work you almost got right but you need to finish the word it's not where you work it's how do you worship he gonna he gonna fly me down there daddy and i'm gonna stay with some people in the church and i said first off he ain't flying you nowhere he loves you boy i sound mean to dough i see you let me talk to him on the phone i got him on the phone i said i said i need to know i said the church you attend i said there's some things about i see about the church you attend i don't like some things i see and and he said well uh pastor so-and-so and of course he made another strike he called his pastor by his first name pastor you know kenny didn't even put pastor just kenny kenny lets us do this i'm using a different name to protect the guilty okay all right he said he he we we're core this is what we we're apostolic i said now what you mean about core epistol will we believe that you know acts 238 and and that's the core and he kept the whole conversation while i try to pin him down about about women and men and places and all that he kept coming back to the core and finally i said boy i'm not talking about an apple religion i want to know when i eat an apple i eat everything but the corn all you've given me is the core i don't know if i'd want your religion or not but all we would have had to do is to glorify that young man oh yeah tell you who his parents are tell you who his grandparents are tell you this boy comes from a line of wealth you know what we'd have maybe i had my grandkids out here getting baptized in a place they wouldn't even baptize them accordingly you said today you said today said the carpenter loved me the first time she had seen me they see good and there are good sincere people they are good sincere they're sincerely wrong but there are good sincere people that believe that doctrine if they only knew where it came from it came from a group of men that were trying to be a seeker friendly and include all of the pagan god and all of the they were not listen you didn't have to give up your pagan gods you could add christianity to your list but they knew that the pagans will never accept such an exclusive gospel listen to the leader of our church i am the way the truth the life he didn't say i am one of the ways i am one of the truths i am one of the lives if you want to be baptized today we're going to do something for about a couple of minutes but if you have your bible today we need to rededicate ourselves back to the word of god father i rededicate my life back to reading i rededicate my life back to your word the reading of your word god i rededicate my life come on help me this morning i'm praying that prayer to lead us all right now i i believe if you have your bibles if you'd hold it up with me right now god i rededicate my life back to your word i rededicate my life back to the word god lord i love you god i rededicate my life back to believe i believe that you died for my sins i believe god that you rose on the third day and that you've paid the sin debt and that i have been justified and that there is a pathway back into heaven i believe in the death burial and the resurrection of you jesus christ i believe it i believe it i believe in lord god i believe it this morning god i will bring my bible with me tonight back to church god i will begin to read my bible i'll get a method of reading i give you praise and i give you honor in jesus name would you before we go home and just sing a course or
