I had such a bad experience about seven years ago um my favorite hair stylist in the world left Florida and I had highlights I had a beautiful caramel color that she maintained impeccably and once she left I was left to kind of look for somebody else I went to this lady that I thought was good she totally burnt my hair my hair started to fall off really terrible so after crying for like a week I decided to just take matters into my own hands okay I went to the drugstore and I just picked up four tubes of the cheapest dye that I could find and I just dyed it myself my hairs becomes one on table I'll just trim I'll grab the pair of scissors I'll grab my hair and I'll just and this is people to watch Stephanie yeah I mean what can they do I mean it's either this or going into a salon again and then risking my hair being damaged and it's just so healthy right now and I feel like I have control by myself the longing I have control over the situation and if something goes wrong then I'm the only one to blame I think it's time that we take you out of your own salon here in the bathroom and show you something I think that might be better for you I think it we really need to get you into professional salon and take that fear away that you have going into swans and I think I have a really good solution for you before against that I really want to see your wardrobe I'm ready to chair oh my god how do you feel I'm excited I'm a little scared yeah well I can assure you that's today we have an incredible day lined up for you okay from head to toe you're gonna get incredible amazing treatment okay at it this is one of the top salons in New Jersey all right so from head to toe you're gonna get skin care treatments your haircut your hair colored all these great things for you to make you feel better and look a lot better they have a Medi spa downstairs right a mini spa whoever heard of my dad before what is that if there's an actual physician downstairs non-invasive cosmetic treatments to your skin that can enhance so many features about you and and you know take away aging all sorts of main things that dr. poker downstairs is gonna look at your skin give you some treatments so that's pretty cool right yeah it's amazing yeah and then after we're done downstairs we're gonna come back up and then we're gonna start with your hair so we have so much plan for you today Wow this is the penny spa this is nice yeah very peaceful tranquil right get you nice and relaxed so what we're gonna do is introduce you to Daisy who's gonna be doing a massage and your skin care work right this way the massage will be performing on Stephanie today is a Swedish massage it is an hour long it consists of using essential oils to relax the client and help her relax tension and the neck and focus on the problematic area that she may have well Stephanie how do you feel nice relaxed yes well you're in good hands now I'm gonna trust you to dr. Bober so dr. Palmer this is Stephanie you're in great hands I'll see you later okay okay hi likewise I feel like I'm in really great hands you're extremely highly qualified I love the fact that you have a Harvard medical degree and my teens agree and you've been on Oprah you've done celebrities and I feel really confident that you'll be able to help me feel beautiful again and feel rejuvenated thankfully I appreciate that that's a very very important comment I think the key thing is to make sure the doctor you go to even in medical setting is board certified by the American Board of plastic surgery or comparable board which qualifies them to do the injections because it does have some consequences that we did which we discussed in terms of the risks and everything else given no questions I here to go back okay please sit down we're ready to go a lot of the younger people come in concerned about not converting into the look that their parents may have a lot of people say well I really don't want to have the frown lines I don't want to have the wrinkles in my forehead I don't want to have the deep nasal labial creases I don't have the wrinkles on my chin that may occur from animation and how can I prevent that so she was concerned that yeah would these be painful and I said well with anesthesia topical anaesthetics will be pain free and then we're concerned about the changes that will occur with this and I said these changes are immediate you walk out looking good there's very minimal swelling no distortion that you'll see with this so a lot of her fears about distortion and about pain were eliminated just about a reality or procedure in a process your skin is glowing it's gorgeous we look great you look great thank you so now we're ready for the next part of this great salon here I've been impressed since the moment I walked in everybody's been so nice and cordial and hospitable I mean I can't I can't say any more about it I think it's a special opportunity to really be able to take care of Stephanie and make her feel comfortable walking back into a salon also I love the cause what you're doing to not only coming back into a salon again it's Bobby you're actually cutting your hair for Locks of Love yeah that's amazing I'm very proud of you that's that's absolutely awesome helping out as well this is the the moment of truth we're gonna take this hair right now and just prepare it for your Locks of Love you know we're gonna cut the hair in a ponytail so yeah I'm very nervous about getting my hair cut I'm hoping that they don't have to cut too much I'm really attached to my hair now how sure are you making it I'm just gonna take the scissor you ready here we go it's really awesome this is gonna be just a great experience for you done here we go like we talked earlier this is going to be used for someone that really needs what you just gave to them so you should be pretty excited about you know it's weird how attached you become to your hair and just I don't know covering up like you said like you didn't mention I I have been covering up my features that I've been kind of hiding behind my hair because I'm afraid to taste to take risk know yearning for so long just that connection that that service just doing at home and you have three children two children still children my husband you know and you also have that awesome job of event planning right yeah my company's called the patisserie and I do a lot of modern stuff she's a an event planner for some very prestigious things and she oftentimes feels like she's not represented correctly that her look is really not up to par with what she does professionally well the neat thing about what's happening right now is that you're comfortable you're in you've gotten your your stuff back into a mode of being able to feel good in a salon and that's what this is all about you know it's all about trust an interesting role usually you know you're walking around making sure things are going smoothly but now you're sitting down in the chair and now we're gonna talk a little bit yeah now I'm in the chair so Jackie how do you think everything's going today so far was definitely from what you've seen I think it's going great I just love her attitude and her disposition about this is well coming into Sloane especially after everything she went through so it's it's nice to watch her story kind of have a nice storybook ending you know so and again they're having faith in the salons again and trusts and and giving her a great makeover and I think she's very excited as well so Stephanie part one is pretty much done I think the best part now is for you to relax through this and I'm gonna hand you over to Paul he's a master colorist with our company for over 25 years and he's just incredible so you're gonna be in his hands I'll see you when you're done it's exciting working with Stephanie you know for the most part I thought that she was gonna be really closed when I first met her but she seems pretty open which is really very nice and I this is our opportunity for us we hairdressers to act properly and for us to do the right thing to do something creative to someone that's you know maybe had some bad experiences in the past because it seems as if her confidence has been shot or just a little bit with with professionals in the industry and maybe even for herself so I think that if we can boost her confidence we're gonna make her feel pretty so I think change her life we're gonna change her life in a really positive very nice way well stopper you're looking great so far thank you I feel great good good I want to introduce you to Daisy Daisy is the lead fashion stylist for stylist groups and she has two amazing clothes picked out from red boutique calm that she's gonna try with you and play around a little bit imma let her work her magic have some fun with the clothing and I'll see you guys later okay we have to pick a few dresses for Stephanie Nunn in black all in color just to give her that confidence that she can wear anything and I have one dress that I know she's absolutely gonna die for and look amazing it I pulled a few looks that I think we're gonna look great on your finger different colors we stayed away from black let's try them on and see what your husband thinks I mean it's gonna be i'm triskin she's been a little great like I said she always looks great to me but I'm sure you know she'll just look phenomenal you know like I probably won't be able to explain it you you think you're ready to go back into a salon oh yeah I'm gonna go back to petite girls no more soap Salani no no more that's it I'm done I'm throwing out all the old tints that I have in my cabinet my scissors all the crazy black wardrobe I love color now yep yep I'm gonna have to get a part-time job well I think thank you jack again for for having us here and I think you're ready to go store kind of a new life
