[Music] true [Music] morning [Applause] [Music] okay we're starting the morning off with a truckload on antifreeze so i'm parking big red here out of the way dad's gonna bring some antifreeze when he comes over he's after going after the thunder wagon laner needs a little bit of fuel we got oh what do we have like maybe 15 acres in this field and then we got a 70 acre bottom field we're going to do that's the plan for today let's see what happens at least visibility is at an all-time high today so the good news is there's not many people here so maybe we can get some stuff done in harvest this place often gets extremely busy and it's just uh it's hard to get loads in and out but we're doing pretty good today or yesterday we did pretty good i think we'll do all right today looks like bj and dad came to work good job guys and they put some antifreeze in the oil in this truck so we are good to go uh he's trying to get his end rollers to work still and i think that might be a capello issue and not really a an agko issue there but it looks like he's finally looks like he's fueled up in a red roll though as soon as this fog leaves us morning everybody we're showing horn got a new driver today about uh five minutes yeah for about four we're about four well eight inches well we'd make it up to the ground i think my damn foggiest morning we're gonna see what she does the name is wet it dried off a little bit maybe it's uh almost 10 30 after 10 30 and still foggy and see there is field yeah see the yellow yellow bend yeah i see it now the bushel's up the top of the combine brian and buzzed the elevator dump trucks they got two trucks we had four loads there to go in about uh we're about half above this field 15 acres left pretty good core uh if you can see that little that little beer's got a wind up there showing a great extension stop slow down slow pick your head up a little more i got me here i think we got cab corn yeah hey looky there the combine's full this is good that means they're combining getting an early start hallelujah fully expected that to say it was too foggy well one truck just made it back brian just made it back it's in now didn't didn't have to wait here very long must have been a trucker to a hit up so when it's wet the fodder is wet like this if you get your deck plates too close you start plugging row units which is kind of what's happening there but you want to keep it as close as possible so you don't have corn falling through so if we look right here every now and then we will see a kernel not very bad i mean it's not a lot of loss but that's why you got to keep your deck plates always adjusted see now we're too close and we're starting to plug dad this combine smells like bj farts they've been in here yeah that explains it so it is a little damp still i'm going to peek in here look at the sieves make sure they're not gumming up with the chap or whatever you would call them i call them bombing top sieve did that shut the machine off [Music] hold this that's my first delay of the day the waiting line it's a good time to do my video editing so lots of people ask me if i edit on an ipad i do in fact edit everything you've seen on an ipad another thing is people think kayla doesn't i do all the editing so when there's screw-ups it's my fault but anyways i use a program called lumafusion i use my ipad because uh just like now i can take it with me i can open it up edit for a couple minutes and shut it off uh when this line moves and it doesn't take as long to reboot as a computer so that's kind of how you're able to get the amount of videos i put out during harvest i wake up early in the morning and edit and i edit anytime i get a chance waiting in line or waiting on a truck or stuff like that okay we got moved down here to the australian field bottoms and look what we got lots of kids uh i don't know how that's going though peter frost need to frost yeah we're gonna move over a couple roads jones here i don't really want to go through hell we wrapped the older up and dig that out so we're going we don't know where we're at to make cucumbers leave us need a frost what we need to get them through here so so we're going to move on over here to see let's get around around and we'll go back and forth although it's okay there's a long river down there looking bad we might get a witness a good capcor he's very full didn't make it so along the river dad found a lot of cucumber like enough that they had to get out and chop them out of the head so uh i guess maybe a spray drum would have been nice there sure we're gonna hear about it on his his camera one of the few times i'm glad i'm not running the cop wait wait he's stopping hope he isn't ready to switch oh brother i'm already in the red truck now i gotta shut it off i even got him a pepsi so we got a little bit of a mud hole up here we got to go through normally we would have this front field done before we did this back one but not this time so we gotta go through some mud so we've been here about 30 minutes dumping pretty slow today for some reason so dad sent bj in the town with the red kenworth i want to load what's on the cart onto this truck and head back in uh hey we're kind of getting a little behind so that is the devil vine that is the cucumber so in the middle of the field it's just sporadic like that not like super bad that we won't be able to go through we would just have to watch it because it could progress and eventually get very very bad i mean i've seen some neighbors have fields that uh it knocked the whole field down like a hundred acres just completely flat we don't want that just grow right over those corn stalks like a mat and just pull them down uh that stuff along the wood's pretty bad we might have to wait until frost to come back and do that but he should be able to go through this okay so here i can see exactly where bj is he is apparently waiting to dump at chillicothe cargill one thing nice about that is i know that i'm not going to meet him when i take this truck out of here awesome like i said in previous videos it does make it handy knowing where all the trucks are normally when i'm trucking i'll get at least two phone calls if i'm in line from dad one from dad one from beach i ask him when i'm gonna be back they've both been using this system and neither one of them have bugged me today so that's been pretty handy got the and through here is a little you see the gravel underneath that pretty close to the top soil you can see how it tells the tops broke out the floor not as good as corn that's where these bottoms are all through these like they've got gravel spots august i can see right here on the pipe bag i don't know if you can tell it or not it can't work right there still sitting at the dump in town so bj hasn't been in there for about 15 minutes or so so he hadn't moved yet so i think it's going to load all the trucks we'll have the green car little dude's getting in there he just got out of school he said he wants to come being working man apparently we're trucking gotta fill the truck first so i got a buddy he gets off work at three o'clock he's gonna come grab this truck and then with me him and bj all in there we should you know be kind of caught up for a little bit just hard to keep the corn away between the cleaner and good yields it's a good problem to have [Music] you have deposited the sun huh in a couple hours hey daxier they stick that down in there get a little bit of corn out and it sends the corn into that building over there yeah that's where they test it yep they're testing the car they got to see how wet it is so they know what to charge you yep you ready to start driving truck i've never had it yep we're going to test our corn so i just told daxie to ask his teacher to teach him how to drive a semi at school tomorrow so miss borland if you watch this i might have put him up to that sorry not sorry so this thing here's uh it tells us how much corn we have in the truck said so they know how much to pay us they're buying our corn say they pay you yep they pay us for the corn how do you think we get money that is how we get money to buy food i didn't know you haven't told me all about this yet well now i'm telling you so daxy and i are going to hop in the kenworth boom bob we've got to go it's 408 and cargo closes at five because they're just excellent like that we need to go let's get another truck dumped welcome to your first line at the elevator decks are you excited i always been here i've never had to wait in line though please learn how to be a truck driver eating doritos kicks back in the seat he looks comfortable hey getting to witness the first line debacle so in here you got corn lines and bean lines getting the shortest corn line if you're on corn you're getting the shortest bean lime on your own beans because they just go right down the line giving you a green light that dump truck not only ran a red light but he also has beans and he's in a corn line what do you think about that buff why is he yep crazy not quite it wasn't too bad was it no well the employee of the month doesn't quit said he wants to go to watch his sister play softball corn is really inconsistent because i think of the what little dry weather we had there in august maybe it was dry august i don't think it was affected or what but gravel spots show up to the gravel spots like uh 185 190 you get these good spots you get up over 250 so it's really inconsistent so water makes a big difference we were moving along about uh four mile an hour a little better over on the other side over here but and that's a lot better corn right here man i'm running uh about three two three three now like 270 holes on uh another 93 horse 93 percent power so i still got some more uh power and green cockleball kind of pulled down a little bit that oh that seven cylinder aggro engine it'll lay right there and pull it'll drop a couple hundred rpm and it seems like it's got a lot of good torque low end torque run about 15 to 16 gallons an hour we get to really pull 100 it'll go up to about 18. it's really good corn through here so we probably still have 30 35 acres of this 70 acre bottom with them closing and the cucumber being in this field kind of slowed us down we're not going to get it done today so kind of sucked but with the amount of cucumber that's in the back of this field i think what we're going to do the half drying is off so we are probably going to move uh we have beans that we'll be picking at this farm in about a couple weeks probably maybe a week we'll probably wait then hopefully it'll frost sometime in there and this cucumber will be dead hopefully what's that big sand file there's that cucumber does that give you much trouble yet yeah first thing that it wrapped your head through the auger there didn't cut it out let me take it easy and cold come on it's pretty bad what happened is eventually that vine will start wrapping around the feeder house peter is that what he had happened earlier well they're over on the head so far the feeder house now i think but either way it's not fun sometimes the hacksaw's involved to hatch it depends on how bad it is this isn't terrible but you just gotta it's gonna be a reoccurring thing unless we do some preventative uh herbicide application at some point next year and the year after looks like a drunk guy drove through here that didn't take long hoping he can reverse out of it but he's running the head in reverse trying to spit that stuff back out but they'll have to pull some of it [Music] all right that wasn't too bad so i'm just going to walk through here because i'm sure that's going to happen again you can see the cucumber raspberry right there not the greatest trying to open this up a little bit more i guess we are going to come and finish this field tomorrow we only got 20 acres left but the morning with the water and the dew it's going to be tough to harvest right now it's about as good as it's going to get there you can see what will happen eventually if you don't treat your cucumber try to kill it it'll start pulling the whole field down i don't think this field's going to be quite that dramatic it's not going to progress quite that much and the frost will kill it but if we didn't do anything different in a couple years you know more and more of the field is going to start looking like that this is going to go well there is good corn in here but that cucumber is just going to make it really hard to get a lot of it what if he's gonna give me a ride or laugh and drive by do you have anywhere i can park my stick oh yeah everything do be full you do except for your grain cart for some reason it has uh 1200 pounds bushel oh you switch it to bushels yeah that is an end of day job right there you say cheese see yourself yes yeah say cheese good job dad you're wearing the wrong shirt i have to get you a gleaner shirt [Music] all right guys that's it for this video we can thank good old cargill as dad would call them for our early departure but uh we got 21 acres 22 acres to finish here in the morning so as long as it doesn't rain tonight that shouldn't be an issue thanks for watching don't forget to thumbs up the video i'm terrible about putting that in the beginning of the video but don't forget to thumbs up the video subscribe the channel if you haven't and we'll see the next one
