permit me to accompany you in this journey you go to die for love of me i wish also my beloved redeemer to die for love of you my jesus i will live and die always united to you amen [Music] me [Music] the first station jesus is condemned to death we are dorthy o christ and we praise thee because by thy holy cross thou hast redeemed the world consider how jesus after having been scourged and crowned with thorns was unjustly condemned by pilate to die on the cross our compassionate lord comes lovingly to my aid when the trial is greatest and like the loving father he is consoles me and encourages me to walk always along the way of the cross our father who art in heaven hallowed be thy name thy kingdom come thy will be done on earth as it is in heaven give us this day our daily bread and forgive us our trespasses as we forgive those who trespass against us and lead us not into temptation but deliver us from evil hail mary full of grace the lord is with thee blessed among women and blessed is the fruit of thy womb jesus holy mary mother of god pray for us sinners now and at the hour of our death amen glory be to the father and to the son and of the holy spirit as it was in the beginning is now and ever shall be world without end amen have mercy on us o lord have mercy on us may the souls of the faithful departed through the mercy of god rest in peace amen [Music] is [Music] the second station jesus is made to carry his cross we adore thee o christ and we praise thee because by thy holy cross tao has to redeem the world consider how jesus in making this journey with the cross on his shoulders thought of us and offered for us to his father the death that he was about to undergo i have no wish whatsoever to have my cross lightened for it is a joy for me to suffer with jesus when i contemplate the cross on the shoulders of jesus i feel strengthened and i exult with holy joy our father who art in heaven hallowed be thy name thy kingdom come thy will be done on earth as it is in heaven give us this day our daily bread and forgive us our trespasses as we forgive those who trespass against us and lead us not into temptation but deliver us from evil hail mary full of grace the lord is withy bless rata among women and blessed is the fruit of thy womb jesus holy mary mother of god pray for us sinners now and at the hour of our death amen glory be to the father and mercy of god rest in peace amen [Music] [Music] [Music] oh [Music] the third station jesus falls the first time we adore thee o christ and we praise thee because by thy holy cross thou has to redeem the world consider this first fall of jesus under his cross his flesh was stoned by the scourges his head crowned with thorns and he had lost a great quantity of blood he was so weakened that he could scarcely walk and yet he had to carry this great load upon his shoulders and thus he fell several times in his journey the most certain proof of love is to suffer for the one we love and since the son of god suffered so much for us out of pure love there can no longer be any doubt that the cross carried for his sake becomes lovable in proportion to our love for him our father who art in heaven hallowed be thy name thy kingdom come thy will be done on earth as it is in heaven give us this day our daily bread and forgive us our trespasses as we forgive those who trespass against us and lead us not into temptation but deliver us from evil hail mary full of grace the lord is withy blessed among women and blessed is the fruit of thy womb jesus holy mary mother of god pray for us sinners now and at the hour of our death amen glory be to the father and to the son and of the holy spirit as it was in the beginning is now and ever shall be world without end amen have mercy on us o lord have mercy on us may the souls of the faithful departed through the mercy of god rest in peace amen [Music] [Music] [Music] the fourth station jesus meets his afflicted mother we adore the o christ and we praise thee because by thy holy cross thou has to deep the world consider the meeting of the son and the mother which took place on this journey jesus and mary looked at each other and this encounter became yet another cause of sorrow to wound those hearts which so loved each other tenderly may the virgin of sorrows obtain for us the grace to penetrate always further into the mystery of the cross may she obtain for us the love of the cross of suffering and of sorrows and may she who was the first to live the gospel in all its perfection and severity gain for us the impulse to follow her immediately father who art in heaven hallowed be thy name thy kingdom come thy will be done on earth as it is in heaven give us this day our daily bread and forgive us our trespasses as we forgive those who trespass against us and lead us not into temptation but deliver us from evil hail mary full of grace the lord is withy bless rata among women and blessed is the fruit of thy womb jesus holy mary mother of god pray for us sinners now and at the hour of our death amen glory be to the father and to the son and of the holy spirit as it was in the beginning is now and ever shall be world without end amen have mercy on us o lord have mercy on us may the souls of the faithful departed through the mercy of god rest in peace amen [Music] [Music] the fifth station the sirenian helps jesus to carry his cross we are dothi o christ and we praise thee because by thy holy cross thou hast redeemed the world consider that the romans seeing at each step jesus from weakness was on the point of expiring and fearing that he would die on the way constrained simon the cyrenian to carry the cross behind our lord jesus chooses souls for himself and among them he has chosen me to assist him in the salvation of men and the more these souls suffer without any consolation the more they lighten the sufferings of jesus this is why i desire to suffer more and more without any consolation and in this i find my joy our father who art in heaven hallowed be thy name thy kingdom come thy will be done on earth as it is in heaven give us this day our daily bread and forgive us our trespasses as we forgive those who trespass against us and lead us not into temptation but deliver us from evil hail mary full of grace the lord is with thee blessed among women and blessed is the fruit of thy womb station veronica wipes the face of jesus we adore thee o christ and we praise thee because by thy holy cross thou hast redeemed the world consider that the holy woman named veronica seeing jesus so afflicted and his face bathed in sweat and blood presented him with a towel with which he wiped his adorable face leaving on it the impression of his holy countenance the model and the example for our life is jesus christ and jesus chose the cross as his banner therefore he wants that all his followers take the way to calvary with their cross on their shoulders there to lay on it and die it is only through this way we find salvation our father who art in heaven hallowed be thy name thy kingdom come thy will be done on earth as it is in heaven give us this day our daily bread and forgive us our trespasses as we forgive those who trespass against us and lead us not into temptation but deliver us from evil hail mary full of grace the lord is withy blessed among women and blessed is the fruit that all my life and all my heart is vowed to him and to his sufferings our father who art in heaven hallowed be thy name thy kingdom come thy will be done on earth as it is in heaven give us this day [Music] [Music] the eighth station jesus speaks to the daughters of jerusalem we adore thee o christ and we praise thee because by thy holy cross thou hast redeemed the world consider that those women wept with compassion at seeing jesus in so pitiable a state streaming with blood as he walked along but jesus said to them weep not for me but for yourselves and for your children do not be worried if the time of trial is too long we only reach salvation by crossing the stormy sea which constantly threatens to engulf us calvary is the hill of the saints but from it we go on to another hill called tabor our father who art in heaven hallowed be thy name thy kingdom come thy will be done on earth as it is in heaven give us this day our daily bread and forgive us our trespasses as we forgive those excessive who tried to hasten his steps when he had scarcely strength to move he lies prostrate his face to the earth before the majesty of his father my god my jesus you humble yourself to the point of almost losing the appearance of a man ah yes i understand it is to teach a proud person like me to descend also to the abyss of humiliation it is to atone for my pride that you humiliate yourself so deeply before the majesty of your father our father who art in heaven hallowed be thy name thy kingdom come thy will be done on earth as it is in heaven give us this day our daily bread and forgive us our trespasses as we forgive those who trespass against us and lead us not into temptation but deliver us from evil hail mary full of grace the lord is with thee blessed among women and blessed is jesus his inner garments adhered to his stone flesh and they dragged them off so roughly that the skin came with them have pity on your savior thus cruelly treated jesus says to me that in love it is he who delights me but in sorrow it is i who delight him when he wishes to reveal his love for me he grants me a share in his wounds the thorns and the agonies of his passion when he wishes me to rejoice he fills my heart with that spirit which is all fire our father who art in heaven hallowed be thy name thy kingdom come thy will be done on earth as it is in heaven give us this day our daily the cross extended his hands and offered to his eternal father the sacrifice of his life for our salvation only jesus can understand what i suffer as i prepare for the sorrowful scene of calvary nobody can understand either what relief jesus has when someone not only shares his sufferings but when out of love for him asks not for consolation but rather to share in these same sufferings our father who art in heaven hallowed be thy name thy kingdom come thy will be done on earth as it is in heaven give us this day our daily bread and forgive us our trespasses as we forgive those who for me [Music] [Music] the 13th station jesus is taken down from the cross we adore the o christ and we praise thee because by thy holy cross thou hast redeemed the world consider that our lord having expired two of his disciples joseph and nicodemus took him down from the cross and placed him in the arms of his afflicted mother who received him with unutterable tenderness and pressed him to her bosom i know well that the cross is the pledge of love the cross is the guarantee of pardon and the love that is not fed and nourished by the cross is not true love i have a great desire to suffer for jesus my love our father who art in heaven hallowed be thy name thy kingdom come thy will be done on earth as it is in heaven give us this day our daily bread and forgive us our trespasses as we his holy mother who arranged it in the sepulcher with her own hands they then closed the tomb and all withdrew i have no desire except to die or to love god either death or love since life without this love is worse than death our father who art in heaven hallowed be thy name thy kingdom come thy will be done on earth as it is in heaven give us this day our daily bread and forgive us our sorrowful virgin is found the synthesis of all the episodes that we just meditated upon what mystical graces were conceded to thee in the midst of those anguishes graces of participating in the same sufferings as those of the redeemer it was not without reason that in a certain sense the what called the coredemetrics it is to thee that i have recourse when i am moaning under the weight of my sins with an unshakable conviction that never was it known that anyone who fled to thy protection and implode thy help was left unaided grant o mary that having meditated on these steps of the passion of christ i may learn from thee to love christ as thou dost love him and to surrender myself entirely to christ as thou has done i ask the most holy virgin for all the graces for my sanctification and for the church to arrive at the plenitude of its splendor and grace amen
