THE UNTOLD TRUTH ABOUT BEING A TRAD WIFE

[Music] hey guys welcome back to my channel I'm Angela if you're new here welcome I am a little bit nervous and excited about today's video we're going to be talking about a popular trendy topic that has been all over social media it's been on tick tock on Instagram and now I see it showing up on YouTube I wanted to come on here and tell you the actual truth about being a Trad wife if you've been anywhere on the internet you have seen this word come up somewhere or somehow Trad wife is really just short form for traditional wife I consider myself to be a traditional wife I'm going to talk about the misconceptions about being a Trad wife what it really looks like what it really is some false things that are showing up on the internet there's a lot of women I see that are portraying a Trad wife to be something that it's actually not and then I'm gonna go in scriptures of course being a Christian traditional wife I'm gonna show you guys some of the main scriptures in God's word that has to do with traditional wise and how it actually aligns with the Bible okay so let's go ahead and talk about some of the misconceptions that are going on with being a Trad wife first of all I want to say that the most important misconception about this is that being a traditional wife is not about the Aesthetics or how you look or how you portray yourself yes it has something to do with it but it's not all who you are I see a lot of women on social media who are portraying this certain lifestyle that you have to look a certain way and dress a certain in way in order to be a traditional wife where you have to have your home looking a certain way to play that role and this is not a character to play a traditional a Trad wife is not a character that you wake up in the morning and you put on the clothes and you become that person it really is more of who you are on the inside and not on the outside it really is more about your internal morals and your values how you as a woman and a wife care and build your home and your family and by home I don't necessarily mean the house I'm not talking about a house or a place of living your husband your children if you have children and yes of course the space that you live in so being a traditional wife or wanting to be that having that desire is not a bad thing the world has made it look so ugly and so unappealing and they've done that on purpose so that women come away from it and that they seek something else but just because something is tradition or it was traditional years ago Generations ago it doesn't mean that that is necessarily a bad thing I'm hoping that if you are a young girl watching and you are in the dating phase you're single you are in your dating season and you are looking for your future husband please take this video take what I say in this video and bring it to God In Prayer if you are a Christian and really think about what I'm going to be sharing with you women nowadays are so focused on being a boss babe and climbing the corporate ladder and focusing on career and money and a job and being successful now there is nothing bad about those things I'm not saying that if you do that or if you desire those things I'm not saying that you are a bad person or that you will make a bad wife but I also feel like women should have more options or more choices if they desire something else if a desire to go traditional ways and they have morals and values that tie in with the Bible then I just think more women should normalize this stuff we should normalize this way of living and go back to how our our grandmas and great grandmas used to live years ago obviously not everything because the world has changed but incorporating certain values that we can still do today in our life in our marriages if you have a desire to stay home and be a homemaker and care for your husband and your children then that is what I'm hoping that women begin to normalize and just have that option available to girls way too often in the media and just everywhere in society we are hearing for women to be pushed to go work and to focus on money and career but the problem is for women who want to be a traditional wife that is looked down upon and we are kind of told don't do that because that is going to devalue you as a woman being a Trad wife or a traditional wife is not something that you try out for a season it really is more more of a change of mind and of change of heart towards yourself and what your role is as a wife and also how you view men how you view your husband in particular and your children it is more of a willingness out of yourself to serve your husband for the rest of your life together being a traditional wife does not mean that all you do is Big bread and wear dresses and kind of Frolic around your house just prancing around and looking pretty I'm not saying that as a wife you can't bake bread and you can't wear dresses and all of that I'm just wanting to make a disclaimer to say that majority of the women on social media who are talking about being a traditional wife that is the image that they are portraying and it kind of all just looks repundant and the same it kind of looks like everyone is trying to be clones of each other or just copying each other and that is not what a traditional wife is a traditional wife can do those things but you don't have to do those to be one it is more about embracing your god-given role as a wife as a Helper and what God has called us to do as women once we get married embrace the differences between you and your husband both physical and emotional God did create us differently we are equal in value but he did create us with different roles and for different purposes acknowledge that and really be confident in your role that God has given to you as traditional wives you should be valuing the state of your family and your home and putting that above your career and above money making and materialistic items obviously for those women who are focused on careers and money and they haven't awesome paying job they are going to have better or nicer material things than a traditional wife who lives more humble and Frugal and we just have to be okay with that if that is something that you struggle with then definitely pray about it and go to God and ask him to Humble your heart when it comes to materialistic items who wouldn't love a gorgeous house who wouldn't love a luxury car and traveling being a traditional wife says no to those things and chooses to just care for her family and put that above everything else first if you're single and you're watching this video and you're thinking how does this even apply to me because I'm not a wife yet then this video is still for you because if you shift your mindset about being a traditional wife or if you've been Desiring this and you're just not understanding how you can possibly have it especially as a single mom if that is you because as a single mom you need to provide for your child and that is your number one Focus but I'm hoping that at least if you are Desiring to be a tried wife that that will help change your dating scene look for a potential partner that is going to hold the same values as you do all right so my favorite part let's go into the scriptures and see what God has to say about being a traditional wife I have five main points that I want to talk about and the first one is straight in Genesis in the beginning of the Bible when God said that women are to be partners with men over creation the first one is Genesis one 27 to 28. the creation of men and God said let us make man in our image after our likeness and let them have dominion over the fish of the sea and over the fowl of the air and over the cattle and over all the Earth and over every creeping thing that creepeth upon the Earth so God created man in his own image in the image of God created he him male and female created he them and God bless them and God said unto them be fruitful and multiply and replenish the Earth and subdue it and have dominion over the fish of the sea and over the fowl of the air and over every living thing that moveth upon the Earth so here we can see that God was speaking to both Adam and Eve he wasn't just speaking to Adam he wasn't just telling Adam you are going to have dominion over the Earth and Eve is just going to be on the side helping you he was speaking to both of them so us as wives we are partners with our husband to have dominion over the Earth and have dominion specifically over our family God created men and women with a clear distinction between the two and that is something that the world tends to they try to blur that line and kind of mix both together so that women and men are confused about their roles husbands don't really know how to be a husband anymore and the same goes for wives so if we look at the Bible we look at the scriptures God tells us clearly from beginning to end what he expects of wives and what he expects of husbands and here we will find exactly how to be a traditional wife number two is a wife is a helper to her husband I'm sure you guys have heard this time and time again if you've heard anything about the Bible you always hear that the wife is supposed to be the helper the help meet I just want to say that us as women especially we should not be looking down upon this role we should not take being a helper lightly at all in order for men to properly function in society and for them to continue growing as not only as individuals but as a husband a father and just a man of God he needs your help so men cannot live life they cannot continue being a man and a husband without his wife helping him to me that sounds like a huge role if he can't do his job properly without you that means you as the wife are a very crucial part of just life in general which is why Adam said that he needed a help and that is why God created you also the word helper if you look into the original Hebrew the word helper that is used to describe women or wives specifically is also used in other scriptures to describe God when King David is talking to God and he's writing his psalms about God and he says like the Lord is my helper he that is the same word used the description of a woman being a helper to her husband is used in connection with God helping us to me that is absolutely beautiful to look at the fact that us as wives kind of have the same job as God did back then when he was helping his people and what he still does for us today so maybe if you look at it that way then you won't see that in such a bad light God's promises throughout this entire book could not have been fulfilled if he did not step up and help Israel his word cannot come to completion if we as wise don't step into our role okay so the next one I want to look at is Genesis 2 18 where it talks about wives being the helper or the help meet says and the Lord God said it is not good that the men should be alone I will make him a help me for him this next point I absolutely love and I feel like if more women realized this about themselves as wives then they would take a whole other perspective and light on what it means to be a traditional wife God's word says that as a wife we are a crown to our husband so we've always heard that the man is the head God has put us as the crown which sits on top of the head we're always viewed as being below and oh the head is the best thing it's the top it's the number one so we must be under but that is actually the opposite of what God has said crowns typically symbolize honor glory and recognition and it is definitely not something to be taken lightly so if you are the crown to your husband you should be bringing him honor glory and recognition in the way that you present yourself in the way that you dress and the way that you speak in the way that that you take part in your home when people look at you they should look at you and say wow yes that is a helper to bring up her family instead of tearing them down let's look at Proverbs 12 verse 4. I think it's traditional wife is a virtuous woman virtuous woman is a crown to her husband but she that maketh ashamed is as rottenness in his bones so the next point is a very controversial a lot of people have a lot to say about this which is wise to be submissive and to submit to their husbands so let's take a look at one Peter 3 verse 1 which talks a little bit about that this I just want to clear up that this is subjection in marriage so it's not necessarily talking about women to submit to men but specifically for wives to submit to their husbands so those are two very different things that not a lot of people speak about it says likewise you wives be in subjection to your own husbands that if any obey not the word they also May without the word be won by the conversation station of the wives and then after this it just goes into a little more detail of what submission can look like and what God requires us to do and it goes all the way back to Sarah and Abraham and how she submitted to him so that we have a better idea of how we can do that today the word submission just sounds so ugly because of what people have made it to be or portrayed it to look like you have to be willing to put yourself in that role of serving him and prioritizing him and sacrificing for him but it needs to come out of pure joy and that really can only come from God the closer you are to God and the more you pray and the more that your faith is strengthened that is really where that comes from and that is where we get the help we need God's help with this especially with the way that the world is today telling us to do the exact opposite you really have to put yourself in a place of fully trusting your husband trusting his leadership and his guidance my last point is the Bible says that wives or traditional wives are Builders of their home we always hear about traditional wives being Homemakers and caretakers of the home and that is where that comes from wise woman according to God builds her home and not only her career Proverbs 14 1 is talking about the wise and the foolish it says every wise woman buildeth her house but the foolish plug is it down with her hands doesn't say that the foolish plucketh down by someone else doing it but it is telling you the difference between a wise wife and a foolish wife a wise wife builds up her house and a fool will tear it down so what other way have women been tearing down their houses or helping tear down their families which is when you put your family second in second place then I automatically everything else you are doing everything else that you are putting your energy and your time and your focus into that is going to take first priority slowly but surely that is when we start seeing families be destroyed and divorce rates going up and all of that mess Titus two four and five so it says that they may teach young women to be sober to love their husbands to love their children to be discreet chased keepers at home good obedient to their own husbands that the word of God be not blasphemed I'm hoping that this video helped clear things up about traditional wives or Trad wives I'm really hoping that more women especially young girls desire this lifestyle because I really feel like it is our calling as women and what God designed us to do and to be thank you guys so much for watching I know this was a different kind of video I haven't done a faith or Christian video on my channel in quite some time if you liked it please subscribe and like the video and I will see you guys next time bye
