so um [Music] [Music] masterpiece g'day everyone welcome back to the channel sorry about the smoke it's blowing straight at you we'll go with it though i'm here today to go through one of the world's worst kept secrets that we've been working on with our mitz alloy so yeah which is the train canopy behind me but um yeah i've had heaps of questions about it people wanting to see a walk through how much it cost so let's get into it go right through it and have a look at it so before i go for a full walk around i'll just go through one thing with the whole training canopy setup which is the weight i've been asked heaps about it because i went and weighed it before i got it on as the tubing canopy and after with the training canopy so before when i had the tubing canopy i got it weighed at 27.25 kilos that when i got it weighed i had the titan drawers in there and a fridge um the 12 volt system i didn't have a spare tyre but i had 15 liters of water in a jerry can and i have three quarters of a tank of fuel um the car was empty just the usual stuff in there no different to when i weighed it with the training canopy and i wasn't sitting in the car so the total weight yeah was um 2725 kilos so i don't i thought that was pretty light considering you know how much stuff it's got on it when i went back to alex and got it weighed after the install when i went there i didn't have the spare tyre on but i had the drop side in no fridge so for that i'm going to allow i think i worked out 90 kilos for the fridge and the tyre and so with when i weighed it it was 27.60 but i'm adding on the extra um 90 kilos to allow for the fridge and the fridge and the tyre so with with that it's it's weighing in at 28.50 so and then i'm allowing another 200 kilos of bits and pieces you know under under three tonne which i'm pretty stoked about so you know throw some stuff in you know i've got a few hundred kilos two two or two or three hundred kilos give or take um yeah in spare weight so i think that's pretty good considering what it looks like and and how much gear it's got on it so let's go through it so firstly before i show you through everything i'll go through the sizes of the training canopy so the tray itself is 1650 long and 1870 wide i personally think it works perfect side profile on this thing is absolutely beautiful so i'm pretty happy about that how it's turned out and then with the canopy size i've gone for a 1400 long canopy just to keep the weight of the tire and jerry can and and everything on the back wall a bit further forward and i wanted to create better departure angles i've had to get a tray back heyman race tow bar which sits a lot higher so it's just under the um chassis rails which i'm thinking about putting a rear winch in but that's later down the track hopefully soon though but we'll see what happens so yeah let's i'll show you how i've set my insides up here so on the driver's side here um yeah i'm keeping it pretty simple for the time being i'm trying to keep it as open as possible you know i'm unsure of how i really want to set it set it up properly but i just want to go on a few trips away just to to get a feel for it and move things around change things up you know every time i come back i'll i might shift stuff around but for the moment i've set it up pretty simple just keep me open all the accessories that you want to put in you know drawers drop slides fridge cages travel buddy brackets they're all held in with these little uni strut spring nuts which pretty cool so you can pull everything out if you want to you know change it up move everything around so that's one bloody good thing about you know having um a training canopy done by mitts so it's very versatile um with how you can set it up but i've got my travel body travel oven you know 12 volt marine oven up there it's the big one i'm just on a on a clip-in rack at the moment which it works actually really well for me because i've got two um austral rv director's chairs and i'll tell you what in the in the tub and canopy they're bloody hard to store had to lay them flat they took up you know nearly 200 ml of space so that piled up and then it just didn't work so now with this with the unistrut i've just added in a couple of eye bolts on the floor and on the back wall and you know i can strap strap most chairs to the back wall which i'm pretty pretty happy about yeah so on that side is pretty simple you know and then down here on both sides i've got um 800 mil tool boxes so they're all fully sealed you know i don't know what to keep in these at the moment i just got some straps just in case but all that is sealed um and then yeah we've got the flared mud guards on either side as well and then on the front wall i've got a 200 amp hour and a drive lithium battery this thing's body insane it's huge but it's not that heavy for how big it is i'm not sure how it weight how much it weighs so i don't want to say the wrong figure i think it weighs 13 kilos but i'm probably way wrong so yeah that's um sitting there in in a battery tray that mets make they can move it around if you wanted to but it looks pretty good there and then i've also got a 2000 watt inverter on this side and i'll tell you what i'm cooking with an induction cooker and i'll probably never use gas again it's that quick and efficient i'm still trying to work it out so yeah drop a comment below if you've got some tips on cooking with induction cookers on the 12 volt system i'm very new to this and yeah i want to make it as efficient as possible i don't know when i was buying my induction cooker i could only find the one from kmart which was 50 bucks so i'm sure the more expensive better named ones um probably don't draw as much current but who knows so yeah let's move around the back so on the back wall as you can see i've got in the middle i um fold down ladder get up onto the roof and then i've got the uh spare wheel carrier this is got a big plate under there which the tyre sits on to support it you know this big turnbuckle thing that's solid as so that's housing the spare tyre there and then on the side um i've got a cherry can holder um i've just put the a diesel can in there just because it looks cool idiot but um yeah so you can have water or diesel or whatever but that's just in there for the time being so then up top i've also got on the the rack that's got it's all made out of uni strut as well so you can get lots of those fittings and eye bolts and things put those in there quite easily move them around take them out up the top on the rack i've got a enter drive 180 watt solar panel so it's not doing anything right now because it's bloody raining and then also at the back i've got a full length body trundle um at the moment yes yeah full length 1500 mil trundle at the moment i've just got some tools a couple of cvs in this you know bits and pieces while i try to sort everything out but i'm just this is probably going to be yeah my spares and i know bits and pieces who knows over time i'll set it up and once it's set up properly i'll do a walkthrough of what i keep in my car because that always changes you know another thing with the trundle is you can get a big lid on here a fold up lid i haven't gone for that but there might be something i put on later we'll see just another table you know i don't know beer pong whatever so on the driver's side also got like i said another 800 ml toolbox this houses my tjm air compressor so that is fully dedicated to that you know works just perfect it's nice to have something actually reliable in here bloody looks good a little gold nugget in there in that nice black box and these are all sealed and dust proof you know hopefully so then another thing right up the front here which is a massive deal um i've got a 30 litre poly water tank which is so handy to finally have like water on tap whenever i need it yeah 30 liters that's a that's a big deal you know when you travel in those longer distances you don't want to always stop and fill up like or buy water you know so you can just kind of take a hose with you or whatever and yeah fill it up as you need it yeah but i'll be doing and then another handy thing that they've done for me is yeah i've got um dimmable i think they're call lights fully dimmable interchangeable colors got the orange orange and white um yeah so the orange for the mozzies in summer and insects you know stopping from coming in which i was pretty skeptical on but i did it a couple of weeks ago i was using him at my brother's house and we stood there looking at it and then changed it to this color and actually worked really well the all the insects just bugged it off so yeah so on the passenger side um in here i've got uh the whole 12 volt system runs along the whole back back wall um yeah that's that's epic it's all in a drive this also has a three-stage charger i'm not too specky with it at the moment i'm still new to me but i can plug it into the the wall at home and it will fully charge the whole system up on 240 and then yeah but dc 40 amp dc dc charger and then i've got the cymarine panel that controls everything i can watch everything the barograph you know all all the amps and inputs and outputs and everything like that so which i'm it's very interesting you can also bluetooth it to your phone and check everything which is pretty cool oh and the back half of the canopy here i've got a big drawer with a table on top i'm not sure i'm i've just got stuff in here at the moment i'll set it up properly and then you know a table yeah which you can never have enough table space but this thing is solid as and yeah got heaps of storage so i'm banging on about but i'm still trying to figure out how to set it all up so if you've got any pointers let me know i know you might have some cool stuff that i don't know about so drop a comment below and let me know because i really need help on how to set this up because i was used to the typing canopy which was a shambles i'll throw that away and then i've got a clearview es 150 drop down slide this thing's bloody good i can finally see into my head into the fridge which is handy so i'm not just bloody picking anything out and then with these clearview drop slides they come with another little table little clip-on thing i guess i was sick of seeing everyone modifying their fridge the drop slides so yeah there we go another table i am this is where i've i've been putting my um yeah induction cooker and i just plug it plug it in over here so that seems to be working really really well so yeah i'm pretty stoked with it it's just changed the whole car so that's a quick quick walkthrough of um my training canopy setup at the moment um yeah like like i said once it's all set up properly and i know where everything is and i've got more storage things like things for the back wall um there's all these little nooks and crannies yeah i'll do another video eventually on on how i've set it up properly once it's all done so now to some more questions that i'm getting asked constantly the day the day i put it on man i was getting smashed hundreds and hundreds of questions i've been trying to answer them all and get back to everybody about it so firstly um oh no i guess i'll make an announcement that mitch alloy have actually come on board with me as a sponsor so yeah this is a sponsored package um from them which i'm absolutely frothing on you know me me and tim have been talking about doing something for ages since oh since september or october or whenever the 4b show was last year about about doing something together um but yeah i'm stoked that they've come on board as a sponsor for me because things like this just make it so much easier for me to to go to work and and be able to spend the money on all the diesel and food you know insurances and camera gear and stuff like that that goes into making these videos because i'll tell you what it's it's not cheap um you know trying to get out as much as i can and and the hours that goes into creating content for everyone you know a it's a big thing um if you get into it yourself you'll you'll really start to understand how much time it actually does take up so massive shout out to tim and the crew admits for for coming on board and doing this for me it's epic so let's go through prices of what this would cost um the training canopy itself for this try canopy drawer trundle toolboxes um and the rack powder coated in ebony black is around 23 000 23k it i know it seems like a lot of money but um i'll tell you what if i was to buy another ranger tomorrow being a tradie and the bloody tax cuts and tax breaks that they got going now um you know it's a big it's a big write-off if you can afford to to do it um so in the big scheme of things um if i could go back four or five years when i did buy the car having this now for only three weeks this would be the only way that i would go now i talked about it in my in my um other tubbing canopy verse training canopy video that i did a while back there but it is a hundred percent all about accessibility and storage um and ease of use now that i've got this i don't know how i lasted so long with with the tubby canopy set up to be honest with you it's just this is an absolute game changer so i'm so stoked that i've got it and you know i just been sitting there in the driveway at home just looking at it drinking beers frothing over it with me neighbor josh it's just insane so massive shout out to tim and the crew at miss thank you thank you so much for helping me out here um it honestly makes the biggest difference to camping and touring um yeah and creating more content so thank you and thank you to everyone that subscribes and watches the channel yeah give it a thumbs up because all those little things help and yeah even a thumbs down if you don't like it thank you to you people as well um so the 12 volt system the full enter drive package with the panel the side marine all the fuses the circuit breaker that whole pack panel on the back wall i'll tell you harry sent me a message yesterday to let me know 8610 plus the g i'm guessing that is plus gst so you could say around the nine nine and a half grand mark and you can have this full 12 volt electrical system like mine yeah it's a lot of money for a 12 volt system and i know i'll probably get smashed by people telling me that oh i can do it better for cheaper yeah you probably could set it up cheaper but for me it's all about reliability and anadrive make up these panels for mets alloy and a few other companies and yeah so you you can pretty much guarantee that there's nothing going to go wrong with them um yeah it's just it's insane it looks insane what i'll do is i'll i'll do a full proper rundown on on all the specs and everything in another video on the 12 volt system because there's so much involved in that and and i don't have it fully set up yet i'm going to put more lights and and power points and stuff like that so once that's fully set up better the whole 12 volt system i'll do another video but yeah i i had to pay for the 12 volt system um i got a discount um so but it it wasn't a massive discount so yeah and that was installed by dan dmf auto electric so what i'll do is i'll link and a drive i'll link all the stuff that's in this um canopy all the people you know that are involved in the build um yeah and all the bits and pieces that i've got in here down below in the in the description so you can go check it out so that's my training canopy the world's worst um kept secret that we haven't been secretive about over social media so i'm so stoked that it's happened and finally on here and i get to test it out and use it so yeah there you go guys that's my run through that's my setup i'm getting dripped on that's my setup at the moment um if you've got any questions that you want to know about the build the products um anything at all drop drop a comment um down below and i'll get back to you with the right information um that i can this is my setup i'm stoked that i've got it and thanks for watching don't forget to like and subscribe and yeah i'm gonna get back to the fire enjoy the serenity hopefully it doesn't rain too much on me please um it's actually meant to be like 10 to 20 mil from about now onwards so i've got the fire blazing um yeah beers are cold thanks for watching guys and yeah i'll see you on the vlog that i'm filming at the same time as this so see you in the next episode here yeah cheers whoa
