welcome to sorted ultimate battles three lifelong mates go head to head to head to cook up the ultimate dish around a theme their friend and chef Ben will judge them on taste but ultimately you decide who is victorious let's do this cocktails whoo geez I'm taking all the flavors I love bringing them together sticking ice cream on top and setting a light it's called a flaming floater yeah well I would order that off a menu start with the ice into a glass to very wet ice this cuz it's made of water ah we'll start off with our stout so nice as better start the drink first from berries had a beer as well so congratulations I'm not saying I'm drinking this right and making some deals I've gone for a chocolaty stout and I think that's gonna work the rest of flavors again I think I don't know expresso expresso Express it's a really quick one is it you know it's really funny when he sent me the link of the ingredients he wants we'd get hold up he actually spilt it with an X then we've got the first part of the rum going in once that's there it's time for shake this is a way something go very wrong in fact I do it oh really it's on go nice and why are you straining it what my darling the ice it ends on the asanas and you're sending a jam jar because your cocktail bar is in shortage actually just on the corner blob of salted caramel ice cone so you got your sweetness in there now that is your floater it's some dribbling yeah yeah I'll do that it foams okay good now one shot of rum it's that perfect 25 milliliters yeah yeah it's free pouring I mean I think that's a light you can't see it in here yeah yeah Oh your ice cream I'm a sizzle that is your flaming fire and the rums flaming as well in a minute actually made a delicious and get an ice cream yeah you'll get the pisser it loves it's not good if you've got beard white cocktail has the flavors of Guinness apple vodka champagne and blackcurrant is a Royal leprechaun royal because purple is a royal color leprechaun because the Irish thing but also because of the pot of gold that they found over the rainbow they can afford the champagne logic wouldn't they've just bought Irish whiskey from them French Champagne so we're going to go a little bit of black currant syrup or sure cease there's non-alcoholic let's hide in it Kathy's my that publicly they're like legacies then I'm going to go for some apple vodka classy so you've got the lay up of thick purple on the bottom then it's going up into a bit of a lighter layer so that's apple and black cod so you've made a kids drink so far okay now for the champagne for the ball they're in a salt yes still still looking good and then the rest is a Guinness so up to this point in the race to physical area and there you can see you lose all the color and anything but it's going to taste wonderful delicious it needs more Guinness it's a how every garment take a gold but they go back also it's important to use a fresh Guinness not one you've been drinking all morning so that it froze up then all now it tastes nice heythis wow you know the Guinness and Apple works really nicely thank you they are they are both two unique recipes I don't know how any us to follow that I'm happy with that let's take it back to the old school I'm foregoing the hippy hippy shake of Tom Cruise Fame and going for the ultimate classic the perfection the timelessness that is the world's first-ever cocktail it's an old fashioned oh great yeah well really with the times here assorted our way you invented that integer I didn't invent it that's the whole point why would you try and improve on perfection I should have just done a Long Island iced tea then yes I don't Bacardi coke that works either of those are going to be better than a flaming floater and a royal leprechaun to start off with we're going to take some of our Angostura bitters did they not have a label that fit the bottle they never have a label the Pfister puzzle I did read up why I call them good history few drops this way there it's it's really alcoholic actually it's like 44% straight one way is it um it's bitter yeah yeah and it's from Angostura so obviously to counteract the bitterness with its sugar bat with a drop of water comes the base to our cocktail and now we have to stir until the sugar dissolves with the other one talk amongst yourselves a lot of time on their hands in the olden days and they there was no internet there was no phones people lived to the age of 36 exactly so to make a most of that time stare at sugar - they stir the sugar cube in some bitters and water oh this gets better this gets better the more curly it gets so at this point the sugar is pretty much dissolved we're going to put some ice in now the important thing about ice for an old-fashioned is you want a really big ice cube because you don't want it to dilute the drink too much so this ice that is small and there's been left out in a room for three course of an hour is absolutely not ideal but we're going to go with it because we've got no other choice now we're drawing our pensions and we went ten years for you to stay if you're looking and that's the important part the whiskey we've gone for a straight bourbon rye is also really good this is really good right you've had your chance to talk yours is it yours is amazing okay really you've taken inspiration from my cocktail which originated in Ireland in the same place that Thin Lizzy also originated and wrote that song called whiskey in a jar I have put whiskey in a jar the final flourish for our old fashioned is a bit of orange peel which we're going to light squeeze out some of the oils and place it on top and that ladies and gentlemen is an old fashioned the world's first ever cocktail Cheers come on that tastes amazing hi that's alright it's alright I thought there's smack me in the face I'll ask hi Lois Tibor that is very nice that cocktail took so long to make that Tom Cruise's he's aged love science he loves love science doesn't ontology but always I've done autologous and it's do I know all of us have lost this battle because none of our drinks contain gin and therefore mayonnaise you're going to hate them that's not in tone all you had to do is make a cocktail which is more than three ingredients and therefore they all have more minutes oh really well you've made a cocktail I'm gonna start with that one which looks a bit different it's milk it's no other floating it's more of a milkshake now it's creamy coffee which is bitter and the rum it's good do you or do you not think that that would bring all of the boys to the yard all I think the that looked better when it was floating oh oh you get Apple yeah and you get black it's like a really posh snakebite know what that's actually really smooth and yeah ivory I'm surprised as well well this is going to go great because mine is basically purely whiskey and what does Bend like not whisking I'm not a fan of whiskey but I can appreciate a good whiskey cocktail Pat just take one of the ingredients out perfect I can spend in here hold top ice that's not a flavor is added by nice to make oh no no but you know I'm not a big fan of whiskey but that's really nice cuz it smooth is smooth how you get the smell of the orange yeah and then it's more perfume than it is when you very fragrant isn't it yes as a whiskey cocktail goes that's really good I'm going back for this thing so this would bring all the boys to the yard if you regardless of my favorite you guys get two sides so comment down below with which one you think would be your favorite and head to sorted food if you want the full recipes you know it doesn't really matter who they vote for because I want well I've had a great time cuz I'm drunk please drink responsibly 500 like a server give it into my pressure
