The Top 10 PREFAB HOMES of 2022

welcome back my name is carrie and today i'm counting down the top 10 prefab homes of the year for everyone in any way interested in factory built homes this was an unbelievable year full of innovation change and expansion that has led to some very cool homes the countdown is a collection of what i think are some of the very best homes currently available that are built off-site and delivered to location but if i missed any that you think need to be on there definitely let me know what i'm going to do is show you the homes counting down 10 to 1 tell you who builds them and if it's available i'll let you know the price so let's do it starting things off right sitting in the number 10 spot we have the mod 1 from east coast modern east coast modern is located in halifax nova scotia and build top quality modular homes using premium finishes superior design modular home technology and elite craftsmanship they offer the mod 1 mod 2 and custom homes let me tell you they have some absolutely unbelievable custom homes that look like they could be right out of a magazine the mod one is a two bedroom two bathroom single section home with an open floor plan that can be built from one thousand to eleven hundred square feet what i like best about the mod one is the exterior the look of this home is unlike anything else in the space which makes sense because the co-founders of this company are both avid modern architecture buffs and it definitely shows in their work the interior of the home has bedrooms at either end which always gets my vote because it eliminates hall opens the space and creates distance between the bedrooms these are a very high-end home which does translate into a higher price point the mod one starts at 349 thousand canadian which works out to around 272 000 usd at the time of recording this video number nine on the list is the urbaneer 510 from champion home champion homes is one of the biggest factory built home providers in north america with 40 factories that supply manufactured homes modular homes park models and commercial buildings to both the united states and canada the urban year 510 was designed to get champion into the accessory dwelling unit market and i really like what they came up with it's 15 feet wide 34 feet long one bedroom one bathroom and has a total footprint of 510 square feet the bedroom has a murphy bed and believe it or not the bedroom wall moves so if you want more space the bed can be folded up and the wall pushed in to maximize the living space the price for the urban ear 510 isn't listed on their website but the prefab review has it anywhere from 100 to 150 000 a great addition to any backyard for family members or to make a little extra scratch filling the number eight spot is the ho3 from hono mobile honomobo is a modular builder that uses shipping containers to construct homes that are energy efficient durable and very high quality which makes them easy on the eyes the h03 is a two bedroom two bathroom home with a footprint of 960 square feet it offers a large main bedroom with an ensuite a second bedroom and a main bathroom the home has a spacious open kitchen and a living room area with an optional gas or wood burning fireplace what i like best about the h03 and hono mobile in general is the amount of windows on all of their homes which is one of their defining features they want you to feel connected to the outdoors from your main living space the base price for the h03 from hono mobile is just under 260 thousand dollars coming in at number seven is the loft from palm harbor palm harbor is one of the largest marketers of factory built homes in the united states based out of dallas texas the loft is 15 feet by an impressive 76 feet long for a total floor space of 1140 square feet in a single section the home has two bedrooms two bathrooms and the layout is described as having style ambiance and intimacy rarely enjoyed in two-bedroom manufactured homes what i like best about the loft is the amount of space for a single section home 1140 square feet is quite a bit and the fact that it's a two-bedroom home instead of a three means more living space as well as a bigger kitchen and dining room this home would be perfect for people who want to be in a single section home but still like to have a little bit of elbow room the home is listed for 97 213 dollars from homes direct in millersburg oregon taking the number six spot on the countdown is the summit series adu from studio shed since 2008 studio shed has changed the way we think about our living space and redefined a category along the way they are a national leader in the rapidly growing market of smart well-designed pre-fabricated backyard structures the summit series is for anyone who needs more space and are designed to be the perfect guest house accessory dwelling unit or dream backyard studio what differentiates studio shed from every other home on this list is they do require more on-site setup but the beauty is they offer a diy option or the option to hire one of their professional installers the summit series starts at under forty thousand dollars and they have a 3d design option on their website where you can fully customize your own studio shed number five we have the thrifty one by factory expo home centers factory expo home centers was founded in 1999 in phoenix arizona and has since sold over 15 000 homes across the united states the thrifty one is 13 foot four wide by 32 feet long for 427 square feet with one bedroom and one bathroom the home has everything you need a front living room kitchen a bathroom with the bedroom on the end what i like best about the thrifty one is the price the thrifty one is on sale right now with a limit of one per customer for forty two thousand nine hundred dollars number four on the countdown is the living home six from plant prefab plant prefab is based in california where they design and prefabricate custom high quality healthy sustainable single and multi-family homes the living home six is a three-bedroom two-bathroom modern home that ranges from 958 to 1288 square feet in two sections the home shown is 1232 square feet what i like best about the living home six is the u-shaped floor plan featuring a central courtyard entry which creates a private outdoor oasis while separating the main bedroom from the guest rooms and living area i think it's such a unique look that's perfect for people who want something a little bit different the living home six starts at two hundred and sixty thousand dollars kicking off the top three is a home only known by its model number which is hd 4068 b from cavco through homes direct capco is a leading designer and builder of system-built structures including manufactured homes modular homes park models and vacation cabins the hd 4068 as the name tells you is 40 feet by 68 feet for a total footprint of 2712 square feet that's massive it comes in three sections and has four plus bedrooms three bathrooms a games room a great room and even a bonus room this place is for people who have a big family like to entertain or both what i like best about the 4068 is just how enormous it is the main bedroom bathroom and walk-in closet are literally bigger than some of the homes on this list the base price for the 4068 is listed at 265 771 dollars if you want extra space look no further the runner-up number two on the list is the world famous boxable casita boxable is on a mission to significantly lower the cost of home ownership for everyone every one of their homes is obsessively designed to the highest standards of quality strength and sustainability to last for generations the casita is a 375 square foot home with a full-size kitchen including fridge microwave oven and dishwasher it has nine foot six ceilings and comes with a washer dryer heating and air conditioning what i like best about the casita is that it's different this is the only home that ships packed up and folds out on site in a single day there really isn't anything else available quite like the casita and it's one of the most affordable price points on the list the base price for the boxable casita is 50 000 the number one factory built home according to me is one that i've liked for a very long time and that's the breeze house 2100 from blue homes blue homes has been innovating and designing their homes from the ground up for the last 10 years they design homes to be lived in with open spaces lots of windows and floor plans that make sense the breeze house 2100 is their most iconic home they designed it around their signature glass-filled brie space to seamlessly connect airy open interiors with the natural beauty of the outdoors the home is 2 140 square feet with 3 bedrooms 3 bathrooms in a layout that is what i would consider about as close to perfect as you can get my favorite thing about the breeze house 2100 is the look this puppy is what you call a head turner and it's available with either a flat roof or a butterfly roof but if it was for me i would be going with the flat the breezehouse 2100 doesn't come cheap it starts at 545 000 there are a lot of amazing factory built homes available in north america right now and based on how much demand there is i think we're about to see a lot more
