THE SYMBOLISM IS INSANE! | Soundgarden - "Black Hole Sun" | FIRST TIME REACTION

hello and welcome back if you're new here my name is Aileen Senpai I'm a streamer on Twitch an amateur singer and a lover of all kinds of music and today we're going to be continuing honoring the legacy of Chris Cornell we're going back into some Soundgarden I had so so many requests for you to finally check out black Coast sun and today is the day we're going to continue and don't worry I know he was in a lot of different groups he had some solo stuff as well I will be diving into that so don't worry it's still coming um but thank you so much for all of the feedback all of the information on the life of Chris I had no idea um you know how many people's lives he's touched and I know he is very very dearly missed and we're just gonna continue to honor him and I truly hope he has found some peace this is going to be kind of a little Bittersweet um as I always find it weird seeing videos performances of people who are no longer with us but in doing so we will keep his uh his name is his legacy alive um but yeah having said let's get started with a sound Gardens Black Hole Sun foreign it's almost like a siren [Music] in my eyes [Applause] [Music] in the sun in my disgrace [Music] Black Hole Sun won't you come [Music] won't you come home oh is that that ab machine thing okay um I I didn't mean to pause at him in that position um but it is what it is very interesting I the last video we saw was very very different from this it was just all of them in a room and they were just jamming out and it was incredibly beautiful I loved it this is very different I'm not sure if a lot of their videos were also this chaotic or if it's just for this you know song I'm kind of picking up a little bit on the references here in the lyrics um luckily there's captions so I don't get too distracted I'm definitely gonna have to watch this one again for sure but it's very interesting how you see everyone in this kind of like false reality if you've ever seen uh one division it kind of reminds me of that where everyone is just kind of like like a Stepford Wife kind of embodying this weird robotic personality and they have no idea what they're doing they're just kind of like going through the motions it's very interesting um and then the Black Hole Sun uh won't you come and maybe it's like suck this all in I'm not too sure this is just my first assumption on this maybe he wants us to kind of get rid of all of this false reality um I think it'll make sense as we continue but very interesting a little disturbing but I kind of like that I like a little bit of a weird um definitely definitely up my alley gonna go back a little so yeah okay yeah I think it's just all it's just all bad it's no matter where we stop it's gonna be a little odd um but I'm interested to see where this takes us so yeah let's continue do they still make those [Music] that base is so good [Music] [Applause] [Music] my shoes [Music] [Applause] please [Music] [Applause] [Music] just the world ending but [Music] [Applause] that Baseline at the end I feel like the whole time the bass was just giving me chills and you hear you know Chris doing those higher screams I heard it and the the second verse I believe in the second verse and then towards the end and he's just yelling Black Hole Sun it kind of uh is adding so much impact because you see everyone kind of gets slipped into this you know black hole and it honestly is kind of what I was thinking where it was going where everyone was just like a fake persona like this false reality like where this alternate Dimension where everyone is just a robot in a hollow shell of either someone else or someone who they used to be uh and they're all just getting sucked up because it's honestly very disturbing and I feel like that could have been a kind of like a alluding to what we have uh nowadays and even in in their time when they were you know in their Prime it's the same things were still prevalent as they were there and now um same things if you look around you could feel like everyone just kind of feels like walking zombies at points and nobody's really living their own life um but I loved I loved that I loved that very much um interesting to see an artistic side to them as the last video I was very very much different I I like to see that they're really you know getting a little disturbing a little bit more shocking and I really really ate all of this up so much I have a little more to say but I might watch this one more time um just because I feel like with the video I was getting a little bit um distracted uh but I definitely definitely want to you know dissect this fully as it deserves to because this was honestly such a great video and I really really enjoyed it um vocals instruments and visuals it really was everything that I like in a video so much um but yeah let's dissect this a little bit further so I did end up watching this video one more time just because I really wanted to soak everything in and really give it the analysis that it deserves I feel like oftentimes I I get lost in in lyrics where I get lost in instruments or a good voice but here it was almost the complete opposite I was getting lost in everything that I just wanted to fully appreciate the full package because you know Chris was such an incredibly talented legendary vocalist guitar player and he really really needs you know I I didn't want to you know just watch this once and just be done with it I wanted to really appreciate you know what he did when he was in Soundgarden and this video watching it again I feel like I enjoyed it even more I felt like the way that it spoke on so many topics real topics that we kind of don't really put much attention to but we know are there bringing it to light especially with a group like him someone who has so much influence it really makes you open your eyes a little and I've said this time and time again I really really love you know breaking down walls breaking down stigmas and speaking on things that might make some people uncomfortable but I feel like that needs to be said needs to be done in order for it to actually affect change and I feel like that's what they're doing here um I finally noticed that it did feel kind of like one division you know you have these very white picket fence families where they have perfect Lawns perfect families everyone is just perfect perfect and in the meantime they're all doing all of these you know messed up things the little girl burning her you know uh Barbie dolls or her baby dolls in the in the skewer it kind of shows how you can have something so great you can have all these toys but you still want to destroy them the lady who was you know not even working out but she kept applying her lipstick and her makeup and she was letting the machine work out for her she didn't even want to do any of the work kind of speaks on how we want these perfect things but we don't want to work for them the guy who was very tanned and oiled up and doing we know exercises kind of spoke on how he was probably going through all these things and maybe one day thinks if I have all these muscles and if I look great if I'm tall dark and handsome I will get all these people but he has this unhealthy Obsession which kind of proves that if you don't fix those issues within yourself you can have you can be the most shredded guy you could look like Arnold freaking Schwarzenegger and you're still not going to be happy because you were never happy in here uh so many things the girl with the very well endowed um chest you know she was out Sun Tanning it seemed uh very very large you could tell you know there's just so many things that I I didn't really pick up on it because I was just you know immersed in everything and it kind of makes it more disturbing when you see all of those people their faces get distorted and it almost feels like these people aren't real like they're like they're the monsters under our bed the monsters that we see in ourselves in the mirror when we see like we're not happy with ourselves we feel like we are not enough we feel ungrateful for what we have or we just don't appreciate life we're not living in the present and I truly truly love that so much about this video I love when artists you know go outside of the box and don't really tell you right away hey this video is about this to make you work for it and if you're willing to you know open up your mind you can allow that message in and let it just change your freaking mind completely um yeah amazing incredible video as always I've seen a couple of Chris Cornell videos and ever since then I've just appreciated him so much and I I again I watched it again because I really just wanted to appreciate him for you know his incredible talent and and what he did for us here in this video um but all of the symbolism aside I loved I love that Baseline such a beautiful such a beautiful Baseline it was kind of like taking us on this like a just a nice Groove a nice Journey the guitar riffs were so beautiful it wasn't anything too crazy it kind of lets you focus on on the video it kind of lets you focus on the lyrics the meaning of the actual song and Chris I loved those you know higher screams I wish they were a little bit louder to be honest I would have loved to hear them a little bit more because I thought they were just so cool they added so much emphasis on on the words Black Hole Sun and now I'm happy I saw the video because the the lyrics the word just changes the video of the song the meaning everything completely um but so well done if there's a live version of this I would definitely love to see it um there's like a stripped on version unplugged version again just send it my way I will absolutely Listen to More we're doing some more Chris Cornell and we're going to continue to keep his name alive as he was such an
