A rare case of an amazing tune not being tarnished by its ubiquity. (As a UK resident, if one of our mainstream national stations ever plays Rush itβs always THIS song).
The very first Rush song I heard and loved since I was 8 back in 1980
The irony of this song is that Neil Peart wrote it as a tribute to CFNY, a Toronto radio station that used "The Spirit of Radio" as its slogan. CFNY played "alternative" music that wouldn't have been heard on the city's pop (CHUM) or rock (Q107) stations - but that wouldn't have included Rush!
