THE SCARIEST Lap of My Life & First VLN Race!

this was without a doubt the craziest race ever first of all could not see anything second of all almost end up in a barrier because of no ABS then we lost two splitters in two days had a couple of contacts but in the end of the day it did not end up like this so it was I think a very good race good morning ladies and gentlemen and we're gonna ride straight into the action because the qualifying is about the start the cars are getting prepared I will be the first person hopping in the 240 I the team has worked I won't say all night with the definitely sacrifice a big part of their evening to replace the wheel bearing on the right and we have a typical mover cream weather so it is rainy this is a bit foggy it is a bit of everything but the qualifying is about the kickoff I will be the first person in the car and it will be my first ever rain laps in the race because all the RC and so far we're dry which is like kind of yeah downside for me I was very hoping to do wet race and now I'll get put in the car and do immediately use some yeah some wet laps for qualifying hopefully I will not suck too much and again the most the biggest priority for me and Dominic is just to keep the car in fact if the one piece bring it back in one piece keep it in one piece because we just want to get our points for the permit I believe that the the starting list showed us 17 cars so we need to be top 12 to get it should not be impossible but anything can happen especially within the six hours this was without a doubt the scariest lamp of my life oh no no everything because a bee has failed halfway through the lab and when you know you don't have it you anticipate that you break accordingly when you know you have it you break accordingly and then it's suddenly not there and you go straight for the wall and then you just hope for the well but for the best that the wheels will unlock themselves in time or else you just kind of parked the car in the barrier on the qualifying lap the weather is getting worse by the second we'll also the defog on the window didn't seem to work or maybe I'm just stupid but it was again blind with no idea scary a slap well with a code six to you and a code Brown from my sites 12 position in class out of I don't know how many but again I don't know we'll see what's going to happen [Music] okay so he's going to go out for a slow lap because he needs to qualify otherwise he's gonna have to start from the pit boxes so you're just gonna go for a slow lap on the assumption that the ABS might fail any moments seems that we have found an issue the wire was broken inside so sometimes it was making contact then you have abs and then the clapper was not making contact and you could not see it on the outside and you could also not measure it with like a measuring device so now we're gonna replace the wire and hopefully the race will go on but damn tack it's that's racing people I never thought I would be this happy to say the cars back in one piece words so he made his qualifying lap he is currently a 98 total out of hundred 14 I believe in class 14 out of 16 because there are no others I guess these are the only ones so overall I must say comparison to other Cup 5 cars the difference is not that big concerning well regarding the fact that we didn't have any ABS so I think our chances to be top 10 are there if we fix the ABS but I have full trust in MP our engineering team [Music] but they could also be worse [Music] straight onto the trailer it's going to be tricky taking it off the trailer with no wheels thank you [Music] hotdog picked up Godspeed [Music] cars are up [Music] okay so we're now one of the only us as you can see everyone is swapping for the for the dried tires because it's drying out however [Music] before the pistol because the people ahead of us are going for the pitstop and we are going for the piss of now I'm going in the car [Music] so the good news is I survived my first ever since the Fela the bad news is the Gopher was not running so there is no track bridge because it's very or hour of something so definitely gonna get like a cool on board system like VBox or something the good news is were p12 and climbing up some points for the pyramid coming true nice catch up race for the first time oh all right fast forwards and we are now already at P yes overtook the the previous 11 so we came 11 ourselves yeah well to catch up with Pete and mess of miracles need to happen but we need to be beat 13 so I made a mistake not be 12 but be 13 to get our permit points and we're very happy so I'm jumping in the car in about five minutes and taking the car over the finish line so let's make this count very happy for the first time [Music] [Music] so and here we are actually back where everything started more or less some final words we did it all in one piece more or less it's missing a couple of pieces but yeah so unfortunately my GoPro died as well so I could not capture whatever happened here because I lost the second splitter I'm very sorry for that whatever happened here I'm also very sorry for that but I'm even more sorry for this actually well no I actually was not really my fault because someone decided it was very important to overtake on a very last lap and go inside the door so but I guess that's VLAN you take unnecessary risks and sometimes no you just end up on the same place because that was unnecessary but who am I to talk about most important we are within top 75% so we did top we did 11 P 11 out of 17 and also what's also not on the video is that the last three laps I I thought I had or two laps was it two laps or three two laps I thought that I had to explode a tire but I probably wouldn't be here right now if that was the case was actually the donut of the drive propshaft prop shaft yeah so last two laps it was a bit hundred and twenty kilometres cruising but we made it and I was like if after six hours that small stuff is gonna like break my spirit I'm gonna cry and never come back but no we will be back when we'll be back 24th of August yeah also analyse birthday what's her party her birthday was already to 20 yeah okay so well hopefully we're gonna give her another reason to party because we're gonna cool no I want to say a massive thank you to all of you guys who made it all happen because that's at the end of the day we're all family more or less no no seriously you all worked like day and night to make this happen I made it happy happy and happen yeah I'm very happy that yeah and also of course you also that we
