when you came back for the reboot of Will & Grace what were you most excited about I was most excited about being around everybody again and playing and being handed some of the best writing and that's ever been on television how much choreography goes into your physical comedy so and I I'll mention a couple of specific instances one was all's also in also in the first episode where Jack is sort of acting out the different businesses that he's had well I had an energy drink called jacket up then I was gonna trademark my own stretch and kick workout called him ball is a lot of that done on the fly is is it is it really exacting to you did you stand in front of a mirror and then rehearse what's gonna go on yes so um Jimmy burrows who directs every episode he looks extremely lightning fast so because he can't memorize your lines for you so you have your script you do the scene you do the blocking you play a little bit you figure that out and then he moves on to the next scene so I spend a lot of time at home in my bedroom in a certain corner where I deemed that's where I learned my lines that's where I focused that's where I read books and I left like my me time in your bedroom and my bedroom in this little chair in the corner and yes it's all it's all rehearsed it's all very technical well because I I don't I don't I don't know how to wing some stuff like that max Mutchnick said having you come in and read as Jack was really a he described that as a once-in-a-career experience because they had written something and they saw someone come in and do it so exactly the way they envisioned it done which very rarely happens yeah you always have to fit the part for them did you do you remember the audition yeah I remember I had khaki pants on shirt which is almost kind of what I have I know but yeah and I walked in I did the scene they liked it they had me do it again and then as I was leaving I walked out the door and you know when you're sitting and somebody stands up to leave your eyes immediately go to their ass right it's like a human thing you just just you just go to their ass and then you say goodbye right ass to behavioral scientists I'm sure talk about this so I knew that and I'm I was leaving I go much next step to him I know you're checking on my ass and I just land the door and he's like well that's that's it that's Jack yeah [Music]
