when i was 17 years of age and it changed my life that's what prompted me to join the marine corps to put myself in the position where i could see miracles because i would need to see miracles happen and now 50 years later having attempted to live this my whole life now i get to unfold this but ted the beginning of the book of acts in the second chapter is the day of shavuot pentecost and we have shovel coming up in just two weeks and we have got an extravaganza that we have planned and this is going to be unlike uh anything that we've done before this is going to be greater than what we did for passover oh wait a passover so this has got to be like a four hundred dollar event then we only got wait wait no now let let me tell you what we're going to do on this because we are uh nehemiah gordon has found some more of the hebrew gospel of matthew and he and and keith johnson are going to be doing a special like they did torah pearls and then prophet pearls now they're going to do gospel pearls and they're going to go through the book of matthew in hebrew and the hemi is going to lay it out with keith as a former methodist pastor he's going to give his perspective and ask his questions like only gentiles can do but nahemi is going to lay this thing out and so this is a special they're going to be doing and so i'm going to bring in keith johnson we're going to have nehemiah three hours i'm going to be doing this live in which i'm going to take them to mount sinai i'm going to then that shavuot and then we go to the gospel of luke and that shavuot in which uh zechariah was burning incense on the altar of incense and that was the announcement of his son and then luke the jew the jewish apostle disciple of yeshua who then takes us in the book of acts to the day of shovel of pentecost and then he travels with paul for years and then finally paul goes up to jerusalem for shavuot pentecost he's incarcerated and then he ends up being executed as a martyr for yeshua in rome and that was his final time in jerusalem at shavuot and so we're going to give all the background we're going to we're going to take a back with keith and nehemiah when they were here for uh for the open door series where we started this whole thing out we've got so many great things ted so i could go on but i know i've got a show to do yeah well it's incredible it's absolutely incredible that were put on the wall of the temple when the first one was removed after that no more leavened bread was eaten when the second loaf was removed then all of the leavened bread in the land of israel was then burned because the feast of unleavened bread was going to commence at sunset that evening the night before yeshua took artos he took leaven bread and he blessed the most high in the presence now i want to take you to acts acts chapter 1. acts chapter 1 and in verse 1. the former treaties have i made o theophilus o beloved of god that's what theophilus means it could be a person old theophilus but it could be just the salutation the former treaties have i made literally that i have written o beloved of god of all that yeshua began both to do and to teach until the day in which he was taken up period there are no punctuation marks in the original text and this has been punctuated wrong so i'm going to give you the correct understanding of this because you have to put a period this goes back to the former treaties have i made o theophilus of all that yeshua began to do and teach until the day that he was taken up and that is the book of luke what yeshua began to do and teach now i'll continue on here so we get the whole context that he began to do and teach until the day he was taken up after that he through the holy spirit gave commandments to the apostles whom he had chosen now you notice i changed the verb tense a little bit and you have to do that the verb tenses and king james are all over the map the former treaties have i written unto you oh beloved of god of all that yeshua began to do and teach until the day he was taken up after he was taken up and after the day of pentecost in which he poured out the gift of the holy spirit he gave commandments to the apostles whom he had chosen and that is the rest of the book of acts now we're going to see that he's going to give commandments to the apostles he be chosen before he is taken up because it is going to tell us about that right here in the very first chapter it tells us what happens after he's taken up that he's going to give commandments to the apostles who may have chosen by way of the holy spirit and they are not going to receive the gift of the holy spirit until the day of shavuot which is in chapter 2. but i want to go back to this last incident in the book of of luke chapter 24 verse 13. two of the disciples cleopas and another disciple who were in jerusalem for the passover and the feast of unleavened bread they stormed out of jerusalem they slammed the door where the rest of the pulses are and they walk out of jerusalem during the feast just a few days as a matter of fact it's on the day of the first fruits that they walk out of jerusalem after the first fruit offering is done in the temple and this is at the same time yeshua takes the first fruits that were raised from the dead when he arose then he raised those saints whose grades were marked when he cried with a loud voice it is finished then that next morning after his resurrection on shabbat and then when the day closes at sunset it's now the first day of the week then he raises the first fruits at the time of the harvest of the first fruits by the priest and the temple then the following morning yeshua sees miriam in the garden miriam thinking that he is the gardener says where have you taken the body of my lord where have you put him and she's weeping she is heartbroken his body is gone and the gardener says miriam when she recognizes his voice she rushes to him to reach out to grab him by the feet he steps back and says don't touch me i have not as yet ascended to my father in heaven yeshua then tells her go back and tell my disciples this i am now ascending to my father and their father my god and their god and then meet me in the galilee yeshua then ascends up into heaven with the firstfruit offering with those saints who were raised after his resurrection who he the resurrection the life who he raised from the dead because the father has put all power in his hands to raise the dead and yeshua is the one that raises the dead he raises them on the time of the first fruit harvest and then presents them in the father's throne at the time of the firstfruit offering and that is when the 24 elders are seated on golden thrones around the sea of fire and glass in the throne room it is on this afternoon that two disciples slam the door walk out of jerusalem thinking everything is gone it's all over it is all wasted they have given up their business they've made a fool of themselves thinking that yeshua's the messiah and now he's dead two of them went that same day to a village called emmaus which is three car furlongs uh that's uh 60 furlongs and they they talk together of all these things that happen and and while they were talking together yeshua drew near he he was walking up behind him and he he kept on walking faster and he he came up in and drew near and went along with them and they they didn't recognize him as it says and he said to them what manner of conversation are you having as you're walking why are you so sad what is this depressing morbid conversation it's it's during the feast of unleavened bread you're just at jerusalem why are you so sad and one of them whose name was clericus answered and said are you some kind of stranger in jerusalem you've not known the things that have come to pass in these days and the stranger said what things i like it because it's in red in the king james version red letter edition what things like he doesn't know the messiah doesn't know what things because he wants them to tell him okay what happened and they said unto him concerning jesus of nazareth yeshua of nazera which was a prophet mighty indeed in word before god and all the people and how the chief priests and the rulers delivered him to be condemned to death and crucified him and we trusted we trusted that he was the one who was going to redeem israel and now besides all this today's the third day since all these things were done and certain women of our company they they confounded us they they they blew our minds astonished uh which is outside of the mind they astonished us because they went to the sepulcher and they didn't find his body and they come back and they said they saw a vision and that he was still alive and and we had no idea what was what this was happening and certain of those who were with us went down the sepulchre and found it just like the women it said but they didn't see him either then the stranger said unto him them o fools and slow of heart to believe all that the prophets have spoken all the prophets have spoken ought not messiah to have suffered these things all these things you've just related and i imagine as as the he starts they start telling him what happened and then he's going to ask him more details well what happened next what what what happened here well tell me more about what happened and he went right down the line getting every single detail that he could every detail of what they had just seen in the previous week from the last supper all the way through the crucifixion and everything that had taken place and then he said you fools you idiots ought not messiah to have suffered all these things and then after that enter into his glory don't you understand this stumbling block that was placed before all israel that the messiah must suffer all these things first he will come as the prophet the prophet we must hear and obey and and he he will be because he does hear and obey because he does break the rules and regulations of the pharisees and he does show us the way and he does show us the way that we are to walk and he said to follow me do what i do and he refused to wash his hand with the niggle vessel he refused to acknowledge the authority of the rabbis he refused to do anything except that which the father said ought not messiah to have done all these things and then and then he gets to enter into his glory he will then sit upon the throne of david he will then rule over the nations with a rod of iron he will then call the nations of all that remained of the nations who didn't come to fight against him they will come up year by year to visit the king jehovah's eve who sits on his throne in jerusalem ruling the nations with the rod of iron and he will send forth his messengers into the far reaches of the earth to reach those who have not yet heard and have not yet seen his glory and beginning at moses and all the prophets he expounded to them in all the scriptures the things concerning himself and as they drew not of the village they he acted as if he would go further but they constrained him meaning they asked him three times and he refused the first two times that's what constrained means they ask him please please tell us more please come and have to have dinner with us the feast of unleavened bread come in and break bread with this he said no no i must be going i i really must i i'm on my way i have important business to attend to so i can't and so they would then they would constrain them and say oh please it's near sundown uh your journey is far please spend some time with us you can spend at least a little bit of time with us and he would again say no no i thank you so much for your hospitality you're so gracious to me but i really can't put you out like that and finally the third time they ask him he's then he goes in he sits down at the table with them as it says he constrained he said abide with us it is toward the evening the day is far spent and he finally goes in and carries with them now verse 30. and i do hope that you're following along in your king james version of the bible you don't need any of these you know the you know sad versions of the bible made for idiots like the you know the revised standard and the new american revised standard keep on getting dumber and dumber and keep on taking out things that they don't understand because they know that american gentiles won't understand these things ladies and gentlemen you want if there's a question then you dig deeper you don't dumb it down like good news for modern man you'll keep the fast over the passover on the first day of april each year talk about dumbing it down that's that is complete idiocy but this is what you get that's why king james go with the king james because we can go back to the hebrew and go back to the greek and it's not too difficult okay change the verb tenses as you come along them understand the verb change the verb tense are are a little difficult with king james but it's all it all works and so came to pass as he sat at meat with them he sat at the table with them he took bread he blessed it the word it is in italics it's not in the text he didn't bless the bread he blessed baruch and he broke it and he gave it to them and their eyes were opened what did he do when he broke it he blessed the most high he broke it and he said this is my body which was broken for you gave it to them they took it out of his hand and he vanished out of their sight what a mind-blowing moment that was and they said to each other did not our heart burn within us while he talked with us by the way and while he opened us the scriptures and they rose up the same hour returned jerusalem and found the eleven gathered together judas obviously is not in their midst and them that were with them the rest of the disciples and they said the lord has risen indeed it has appeared to shimon and they told what things were done in the way how he had made known to them was made known to them in the breaking of bread so when you sure broke the bread that's when they knew this is my body which was and as they spoke yeshua himself appeared in the midst of them and said shalom shalom allah and they were they were they were terrified they were frightened supposing that they had seen a spirit a phantasma a spirit a ghost and he said to them why are you troubled why do thoughts arise in your hearts why are you you you're going over this look at my hands look at my feet it's it's i myself handle me touch me and see a spirit doesn't have flesh and bones notice he doesn't say flesh and blood because his blood came out of him was poured out upon the ark of the covenant on the side that was reserved the right hand of the throne of the almighty on the side that the blood of bulls and goats and lambs are the side that the the lamb the om kippur lamb never touched his blood fell upon it he is now flesh and bones that which moves him the life of the flesh is in the blood but he is not motivated and not moved by blood the life that is in him is spirit that is what makes yeshua completely different he when he came out of the grave he was literally born again in a not a flesh and blood body but in a body that can in one moment he's upon the earth and raises the 24 elders and then the next moment he's in the throne room of the almighty then within an hour he's back down on the earth and meets the women the other women not mary from the miriam from mcdonald but the other woman who had prepared the burial spices on friday rested on the weekly sabbath according to commandment and then came early the first day of the week with the burial spices and came to the tomb and an angel meets them there and says he's not here he's risen so they turn around to go back and yeshua then appears in front of them and says yehovah yoshiyah jehovah saves you yahuwah yoshiya what is he said remember the angel gabrielle told both miriam his mother and yourself his stepfather you shall call his name yeshua for yoshia for he will save yeshua yoshiya and yeshua appears now and says yehovah yoshiya he now appears as we'll see in the book of acts is yehovah save the oat all power in heaven and earth has been given to him all right i do i do go ahead a little bit so and when he had thus spoken he showed them his hands and his feet his flesh and bone's body showed him his hands and his feet and while they believe not for joy and wonder he said unto them you know they they believe not for joy it's like you know i can't believe this that's that's what the essence says i can't believe that they were just beside themselves then they in wonder this is just too far this is this is again this is beyond the mind and he said have you any food here and they gave him a piece of broiled fish and a honeycomb and he took it and ate it before them which should be a comfort to all of us who love to eat once in a while that in yeshua's resurrected body he's showing them i'm flesh and bone now give me something to eat i'm starving i haven't had anything to eat and since the last supper and that didn't go down didn't digest real well with me that night and so they were the ones that gave him his first food and he said to them these are the words which i spoke to you while i was yet with you that all things must be fulfilled which were written in the law of moses in the torah and in the prophets and in the psalms concerning me this is what i told you before i'm telling you again and unfortunately the christian world just doesn't believe it they don't believe that yeshua is literally going to raise us up from the dead that we are going to be gathered together at the last trumpet that the dead in messiah those who belong to him that they are going to be raised with an incorruptible body that corruption will put on incorruption and that the mortal who are still alive and remain will put on immortality and then we will be caught up harpazo repturo together to meet the lord in the air and we will be taken to the sea of firing glass we are going to be raptured together to meet the lord there so shall we ever be with the lord but he is not going to be in heaven he is just we he's taking us to the throne room outside the throne room for us to the sea of firing glass for the ten days of all which is a judgment seat of messiah and there we are going to be judged for reward what we have done in our body the ten talents he gave us the one talent the five towns whatever we are going to give an account if all we produce is wood hand stubble paul says as he takes us to that day that's all going to be burned up it's going to burn away but everything that we've done for him the gold silver and precious stone that is going to be purified all the drills all the things that don't count everything that we do in this life that doesn't count for the kingdom that's all going to be gone forever and all that'll be left the gold silver and the precious stones and and as john sees this scene at the end of the sea of fire and glass during this time of which the angels come out of the throne room and pour out seven bowls of the wrath of almighty god down upon the earth and the cry goes out of the throne room at the beginning no one no one enters the throne room until the bowls of wrath are cast out and poured out upon the earth and then when the last bowl is poured out the cry goes out from the throne room again yeshua cries out it is finished and then we prepare for the next five days the bride dresses herself in wedding garments pure and white which are the righteous nesses which are the righteous acts of the saints that's the gold the silver the precious stone that we have after the test the trial by fire on the sea of fire and glass and then what we have left are the righteous acts that's what the bride dresses herself in the righteous acts that she has done and then we wait to hear if our name is called into the marriage supper of the lamb only those whose name is called the only those who are called by name enter into the mishkan in heaven with a vast multitude that no man can number on the sea of fire and glass yet there'll be those who enter into the married supper of the lamb all that is written in the torah of moses and the prophets and in the psalms this will all be fulfilled and the marriage suffered the lamb the seven day feast of tabernacles then that closes in the eighth day the last great day hashanah that is a day that yeshua returns with his mighty angels and his armies from heaven to take the earth this is the battle of armageddon as detailed in the book of revelation the first one in which he comes down and casts satan into a bottomless pit he's bound and cast into a borrower's pit it's actually says michael that does the job chains him up casting a bottle of spit or he will spend the next thousand years and then we who have been alive and made alive and have actually earned the right to reign and rule with him as priests and kings we this is when we receive our authority over five cities over ten cities there are others who won't have authority because they've done nothing in this life there's worthy of reward oh sure they did a repeat after me prayer but a lot of those aren't going to get up though a lot a lot of those are not in messiah they have to wait to the end of the thousand-year reign when all the rest of the dead are raised this is why yeshua gives us these parables because the kingdom of heaven is among us now and these in the book of acts these are the apostles who are given instruction by the holy spirit to go out and under the direction of the holy spirit yeshua working with them he is going to teach them and he is going to bring more and more into the kingdom all that is written concerning him in the prophets and in the psalms and the millennial reign is the messiah reigning from the throne of david that's what it's all about and of course there are so many other prophets who also add in other pieces of the of the the puzzle the picture but see this isn't just reading the bible through one time that you get this you have to study it year after year after year you have to look at it over and over and really think it through do not be as most people and use matthew 5 17 as your theme verse for life think not and then close the bible and say may the lord add the blessing to the reading of his holy word no he wants us to think he wants us to understand and he wants his apostles here and those that are in the room he says again these are the words which i spoke to you when i was yet with you that all things must be fulfilled which were written in the torah of moses and by the prophets and in the psalms concerning me then he opened their understanding that they might understand the scriptures again understand who opened their understanding sunnis this is the point at which two rivers come together when the streams come together he opened their understanding they've been reading the scriptures their whole life but it didn't come together for them suenasis is used in the greek language as as the point at which two rivers come together i give the example the allegheny and the monongahela river coming together at pittsburgh the point at which those two rivers come together is sunnis it forms the mighty ohio river and it's no longer two smaller streams it's a mighty river that carried the commerce of america into the midwest and these men had been raised with the scripture their whole life and yet they didn't understand it and yeshua said i told you all this before now i'm going to open your understanding and so opening their understanding he is going to have to put it together for them he is going to bring all these rivers all these different prophets all that they have spoken all come together to form streams and and i want to say this in in closing on this particular part paul told timothy study study spudazzle be diligent to show yourself approved unto god as a workman that needs not to be ashamed rightly dividing the word of truth that word rightly dividing is ortho write temno cut write cutting dividing dividing the scripture right where it needs to be divided because you we cannot see just in our first reading of the book of zechariah we don't get it all the first time because there are prophecies there are parts of it that are written specifically for that time and then for a time in the future a time in which the messiah reigns upon the earth there are portions of it that talks about judgment that is coming upon the religious leaders who swear falsely in his name who steal his words one from another and that these flying cylindrical containers can containing an evil fire offering will come down in and destroy their houses they incinerate the buildings with the wood and the stone and leave behind a deadly residue and yet further in it talks about a war in which the nations come up against israel and that almighty god fights for israel and the nations are they're the people are consumed their their their eyes are consumed away in their socket their their tongue is consumed away in their mouth before their body hits the earth and then all those of the nations who do not come up to fight against them they will come up year by year to worship the king yellow vatsava oat at his throne in jerusalem for his birthday the feast of tabernacles see these these prophecies must be understood in context and they have to be rightly divided we have to rightly divide from the acceptable year of the lord and we have to realize that the that's why yeshua stopped and said this day is this fulfilled in your ears because the acceptable year of the lord is what he came to proclaim and from that time from the the the the beginning of that week which is there and said this day is the scripture fulfilled because the next line is and the day of vengeance of our god and that begins the next six chapters of when yeshua comes and his garments are soaked stained in the blood of his enemies and he will take out his wrath against those who have hurt and destroyed his people see we have to rightly divide these things and it can't be done from a gentile perspective just barely able to to understand the simplest things in the gospel these words the book of acts cannot be understood without understanding the gospels and i haven't met a gentile preacher yet that even understands the gospels i ask them i say you know show me just just just tell me where yeshua it goes up to keep each one of the feasts of the lord as he's required to according to the the third day and that repentance and the remission of sins should be preached in his name among all among all nations beginning at jerusalem and you are all witnesses of these things those apostles jerusalem until you are endued until you are clothed with power from on high and then he led them out as far as bethany and he lifted up his hands and blessed them and you know how he did it with the aaronic blessing the very blessing that the priest was to say over the people is and while he was saying that blessing he was parted from them and carried up into heaven and they worshipped in return
