The Reason People Hate Frieren is Dumb!

the reason people don't like freden beond Journey's End is actually so dumb so I recommended freden to one of my friends who is really into like heavy Shonen action anime and you know he watched the first couple of episodes and he calls me he's like bro this is like a slice of Life anime I don't like it and it infuriates me like I literally get so mad because it's such a good anime and I think one of the things that makes it so good is the part that like it has that Slice of Life aspect to it there is action in fre and it's a little bit more scarce it's not like action every single episode but I feel like it's such a good anime and I think the Slice of Life moments actually make it so much more enjoyable because to me it just allows me to attach myself more to the characters if I was just seeing these characters fight and I don't really care about them it doesn't mean like seeing random anime characters fight isn't anything special it's when you feel attached to the character that that's what actually you know en enhances the fight itself this perfectly applies to one piece right one piece doesn't have the best fights like in terms of animation and art style but you're so attached to Luffy these straw hats and the characters that when there is a fight in one piece you are like at the edge of your seat because of these characters they mean something to you right and it's almost the same thing with feden right you you get these Slice of Life moments you get attached to the characters you get attached to feden Fern Stark whatever and you the world is very interesting the animation is beautiful and the fights if anything they're animated way better than one piece fights no disrespect to one piece and people still don't like freen because it has those Slice of Life moments I genuinely feel like that is its strong point like The Slice of Life aspect of freden is its strength another thing is and this might just be an inkling feeling like I don't know if this is true or not I I'm just making an assumption I'm stating that right now for the record right so just to be clear and this might be controversial I think there's some people not everyone of course and not most people I would think I think it's a like a very small minority that are not not watching Freon beond Journey's End because the main character is a female or a woman and I don't want to say this is like definitive like but I've seen a lot of times right like people won't watch an anime if the main character has a female role just because they don't quote unquote feel connected which is straight up bogus because you can feel connected to a character that is a different gender than you I'll give a perfect example while I don't think Kora is as great as avatar The Last Airbender I think Kora is really good but I think one of the reasons a lot of people don't watch Kora and they don't want to admit it is because of the fact that Kora is a girl it's not as good as avatar The Last Airbender I admit like I think avatar The Last Airbender with Ang and his journey in terms of the story overall is just better to me but I think there are some people that don't watch Kora because Kora is a woman and that might be controversial I don't care you could say that's controversial you could say that's a dumb take you could say there's no evidence to that fine but I just have an inkling feeling listen freden is a popular anime right there's a lot of people that are watching it but I feel like it just deserves to be so much more popular I really genuinely think this should be an anime on the level of like chainsaw man and jiujitsu kaen and all those big hitters right cuz like what this anime is providing every single Friday is truly insane I definitely think it's more because of the first point I mentioned than the latter right I think it's more because there is like The Slice of Life moments in the anime um and listen I understand there's a lot of people that just genuinely don't like Slice of Life but I genuinely think these Slice of Life moments enhance the fights just that much more so I don't know that's my personal take you could say that my takes are bad or whatever I don't care um let me know what you guys think in the comments though I I would love to like have a discussion and discourse if you agree with me let me know what you agree with if you disagree let me know what you disagree with right so yeah I would love to have discussion let me know why you think people are not watching Fen or why some people don't like feden uh because it's not that like people don't like it it's not that people don't hate it it's just that people don't give it the chance cuz it definitely deserves more I guess in terms of like popularity and uh recognition but listen for more anime content manga content make sure you follow subscribe I all things anime manga related peace out everyone have a good day bye-bye [Music]
