before you because you are our strength you are our deliverer you are our healer you are our rock you are our salvation father we just appreciate you tonight and we want to bring glory and honor and praise unto your name we're so thankful for your loving kindness for your tender mercy we're thankful how you're keeping us continuously watching over us always looking unto us and seeing our need god and we thank you we give you praise i ask tonight that you would bless my brother bless my sister draw them unto you in a mighty way pour out your anointing upon them god give them a fresh word on tonight give them wisdom and understanding lord we just thank you for your greatness for the mighty works that you are doing amongst us we pray for our pastor that your spirit would rest upon him the spirit of wisdom knowledge and understanding and as your word go forth we pray for understanding we come against every spirit of distraction everything that will hinder us god because we want to hear what you are saying and after we have heard what you said we pray for our heart that will be obedient to follow the instructions that you are giving us to allow your word to be a lamp unto our feet and a light onto our path we pray for those on tonight that need a healing god we thank you that you've given us the power to heal and so as we speak we pray that healing would go forth in everyone that need healing and those that need a miracle lord we speak a miracle in their lives we thank you for the power and the authority that you've given us we thank you for a name that is above every name we come to acknowledge you on tonight how great is your faithfulness how great is your mercy toward men father draw those that are lost unto you save them deliver them from the powers of darkness and bring them into your marvelous light we just want to give you glory we want to give you honor we want to give you praise we want to magnify your name as your children lord knowing god that we've our pastor everest mark he meant we needed to pray for sister sharon dale who just had a brand new baby boy on yesterday mama and baby are doing good amen i also shared that uh uh sister clark lost a family member in jamaica so this is gonna be a way that i will communicate with you so that i don't have to take some 150 200 people i will put it on our new covenant family whatsapp that's where you're going to hear from me and once in a while i will text but it's uh i'm i'm going into text jail too many times to where they block me from being able to communicate once i send 600 texts and i communicate with a lot of people so but by using our whatsapp new covenant and whatsapp uh uh medium i will be able to communicate to the whole church at the same time so if you don't have that feel a refreshing spirit since this past weekend even on sunday when we started the service i know our women prayer group they were on the parking lot for one hour before service amen and for that one hour they were walking the parking lot praying and commanding the morning amen commanding the day and praying for the angels of the lord to surround us so for god to come down in our service and i'm telling you at 11 o'clock the power of the holy ghost hid that parking lot and everybody was so excited the demonic spirit of depression and oppression left amen we had about four visitors that joined us and i was so glad to to to take pictures with them amen and to get to see to to get to meet them before uh before service again i welcome you tonight this is yours truly pastor i can vandalize new covenant amen i love you i love you i love you tonight we are going to be reading from the book of exodus book of exodus uh that is the second book of the bible exodus chapter eight exodus chapter eight uh we are going to read from verses 25 amen to verse 28 exodus chapter 8 starting from verse 25 again i thank you all for joining us for bible study tonight go ahead and turn your bible to it if god bless you amen sister carmen god bless you amen hallelujah amen amen exodus chapter 8 verse 25 and pharaoh called to moses and for aaron and said go ye sacrifice to your god in the land and moses said it is not meant so to do for we shall sacrifice the abominations of the egyptians to the lord our god lord shall we sacrifice the abomination of the egyptians before their eyes and will then stone us we will go three days journey into the wilderness and sacrifice to the lord our god as he shall command us verse 28 and pharaoh said i will let you go that you may sacrifice the lord to the lord your god in the wilderness only you shall not go very far away and treat for me amen and then i'm going to go to exodus chapter 10 we're going to read verses 9 through 11 and then verse 24 exodus chapter 10 exodus chapter 10 amen uh we'll go there right quickly just a couple of chapters hallelujah we're going to start from verse 9. verse 9 says and moses said we will go with our young and with our old with our sons and with our daughters with our flocks and with our hurts will we go for we must hold a fist unto the lord amen and verse 10 and and he said unto them let the lord be so with you as i will let you go and your little ones look to it for evil is before you verse 11 not so go now ye that are men and serve the lord for that he did desire and they were driven out from pharaoh's presence then let's go to our verse 24 and pharaoh called unto moses and said go ye serve the lord only let your flocks and your hurts be stayed let your little ones also go with you may the lord bless the reading of his holy word tonight tonight we will be speaking on this thought the power to say no the power to say no you know in the english language one of the hardest words to say is no of course you know it's not hard to pronounce no it's not hard to spell it either but it is difficult to say no to some entities it is difficult to say no in some circumstances it is difficult to say no for example uh saying no to an abundance of food is hard for most americans man you saw them a big plate of food jerk chicken and some oxtail and rice and peas and some vegetables uh hey man you can pile the plate up they will never say no it's hard to say no to a big plate of food you know when strawberry shortcake loaded with whipped cream is offered to you uh it's hard to say no in every case amen people yield amen to the food ah when you give me german chocolate cake with a coconut tapping on top of it it is hard for me to say no and you know gas people we have numerous solicitations from satan for us to compromise and one of the hardest responses is to say no or to resist the devil see when moses prepared the people to leave egypt pharaoh made some interesting proposals of compromise pharaoh you know he wanted to compromise with them and bargain they went to him and said god wants us to go and worship him in the wilderness and he began to to make compromises he didn't want him to go out first and then when he told them they could go uh then he made a compromise and moses said no then he made another compromise and moses said no well in each case mostly moses the man of god led the people to say no to all the interesting proposals that was uh given to them by pharaoh amen moses led the people to say no so this is what we're going to do we are going to notice the compromise and i'm going to be dealing with the solicitation of pharaoh with the compromise and how does satan also play on us with the same kind of solicitation okay the first thing that we see here satan seeks to retain god's people i say it again satan seeks to retain god's people this is a solicitation of pharaoh when moses went to pharaoh and requested pharaoh to let the people of israel the hebrews to allow them to leave the land of egypt pharaoh presented them with a compromise he told them to go and sacrifice to their god in the land in other words you don't need to leave egypt you can stay right here in egypt and sacrifice uh he wanted the hebrew people to remain in egypt amen now if pharaoh could keep them in the land they will remain slaves to pharaoh that is one of the compromises that pharaoh gave to moses and the hebrew children yes i agree for you to go sacrifice but you need to stay in egypt doesn't that sound like the devil oh it's okay for you to go to church but you need to stay in your sin oh it's okay for you to go to africa not alive but you need to remain in sin be enslaved with sin or it's okay for you to even give in your offering untied but you need to remain in sin what is the solicitation of satan satan loses the main battle when a person becomes a christian wait excuse me when you and i turn our lives over to the lord satan lost the battle the battle for our soul he lost it amen and the warfare starts at that point satan loses the battle which is the main battle when we become christians but he continues the warfare he continues to bombard our minds he continues to fight our marriage he continues to fight our children he continues to fight our finances he continues to fight our health amen the apostle of god always seeking to persuade the children of god to stay in the land to stay insane to stay in the world to continue to live in the world with the lust of the eye the lust of the flesh and the pride of life satan wants all of us amen to be borderline christians he wants us to have one foot in the kingdom and one foot in the world but that is not going to work that is a job of satan amen he seeks to retain the people of god my brothers my sisters tonight satan is seeking to retain you in his kingdom when you turn your life over to jesus christ when you repented of your sins when you put on the name of jesus in watery baptism in water baptism when you receive the baptism of the holy spirit the devil is mad and amounts and attack over your life this is why some of you are going through the hell you are going through that devil is mad at you the devil is mad at me because we have changed team we are now on the lost team we are no longer on his team so he is mad at us and is fighting us to get us to to backslide he's fighting us to get us to or to not trust the lord to lose our faith in god to continue to live in sin to continue to to disobey god that is the job of satan he wants to retain you in his kingdom he knows his time is short that's why he's trying to put a sickness on you to make you doubt god that's why he made you lose that job so that you can doubt god for your provision he made you lose some friends and some family members to make you lonely and begin to doubt god let me just tell you my brothers and sisters you tell that devil to go to hell where he came from don't allow him to use the compromise that you need to stay you can go to church but continue to live with him go to church but continue to shake up go to church but consider to do drugs go to church but continue to live in sin that is a compromise that the devil wants you to sign up to my brothers and sisters please please please don't allow the devil don't allow satan to retain you in his kingdom let me hear an amen right there amen amen amen our second point tonight is simply this satan urges god's people to neglect family care satan urges god's people to neglect family care let's look at the solicitation of pharaoh when moses confronted pharaoh on another occasion pharaoh presented a compromise proposal what is it let the lord be so with you as i will let you go and your little ones look to it for evil is before you not so go now ye that are men and serve the lord for that he did desire look at what uh pharaoh is trying to do pharaoh wanted to split the hebrew family he knew that if he could divide the household the nation will soon die pharaoh wanted the men to go worship god but he wanted the children and the wives to stay behind in egypt my brothers and sisters satan is urging christians to neglect their family care he doesn't want us to care for our family he doesn't want us to take care of our wives he doesn't want us to love our husbands he doesn't want us to take care of our children he doesn't want us to be family oriented amen satan is urging god's people to neglect the care of the family uh he knew that if you could divide the household the nation will soon die look at our nation america with the divorce rate in the church and in the world satan knows if he could divide husband and wife if he could divide them from their children he knew he has rigged their family this is why my brothers you need to fight for your family my sister fight for your family don't give up on your marriage don't give up on your children don't give up on your cousins don't give up on your mother your father your grandparents your grandchildren your uncles and your aunts don't give up on them this is what satan wants us to do for us to abandon our family and neglect our family care what is the solicitation of satan satan seeks to destroy the family unit in today's society he opposes god's divine intention what is god divine intention i'm glad you asked the divine intention of god for the family is one man for one woman until death do us part let me say it again for the ones in the back chair god's divine purpose amen god's divine intention is for one man and one woman to be married until death do they impart until one party dies i say it again for the ones that are on the left side on the right side god's divine intention for is for one man to be married to one woman until death separates them no one men are one man that's not god's divine purpose no one woman and one woman that's not a guys intended intended purpose no one men and five women is one man one woman in marriage that is god's divine intention amen the opposer of god seeks to get families to compromise with regard to spiritual care and nurture the devil wants uh wants us to to you know to our family to be divided he wants the family to be separated he wants the family to be broken up he wants you to leave your husband he wants you to leave your wife he wants you to leave your your parents amen this is the job of satan he wants the single man to say i don't need a woman i just marry me another man he wants a single woman to turn to lesbianism that is not god's purpose he meant for a christian family for a godly family is one man and one woman and with the children but satan wants to divide the family and cause the family to break down once you have a breakdown in the families the society will be broken down and the nation will eventually die this is what was so exciting to me amen this past weekend when they declared the president-elect uh when they declared that uh uh biden uh joseph biden and uh harris that both of them have become the president-elect and vice president-elect of the united states amen what really really causes me to be so happy what brought peace to my heart is when i saw their families came to the stage when i saw a biden's wife and i saw harry's husband i saw their children then i saw the grandchildren papa i call him uncle joe now you know papa joe just pick up some of those grandchildren he was so refreshing i'm telling you i don't know he just did something to me because you know i've never seen that in four years it was so refreshing to to hear somebody speak to the nation in complete sentences without cutting somebody down without abusing somebody else without really you know ridiculing somebody oh it was just so refreshing to where when i went to bed that weekend this past weekend i was it was so peaceful it's almost like i'm in a new world but you know because you see the devil wants to tear off the families he wants to tear up the church he wants to tear up the community he wants to tear up the city he wants to tear up the state he wants to tear up the country he wants us to be all fighting against each other but that is not god's divine will amen and amen and my last point tonight our last point tonight is this point number three satan desires god's people to leave possessions out of their commitment to the lord satan desires for you and me to leave our possessions out of our commitment to god i know you are committed to church boy oh please untithed i know you are coming there to the church oh don't go to church you know there's coronavirus even though they haven't driving i don't know how corona are going to jump in your car why are you in your car i don't know don't go you see satan wants us to to leave our possessions out of our commitment to to god look at the solicitation of pharaoh when moses made additional requests to pharaoh for release he was again met with another compromise hear what pharaoh says go ye serve the lord only let your flocks and your hearts be stayed let your little ones also go with you in the end are crazy pharaoh said okay moses you take you can take the men take the women take the men and their wives take the children you will go half church but make sure you leave your caddo here in egypt leave your possession in egypt lift your leave your hurts in egypt amen but moses refused because moses knew that the people needed the flocks and hers to make sacrifices let me tell you this is the solicitation of satan the devil always desires amen half-hearted commitment from god's people the devil doesn't want you to be committed let me let me talk to our new covenant family okay look at how we were blessed to purchase a million dollar building right there at the corner of south posto came in and then after we purchased it we needed people family members church family and friends and well-wishers to commit a thousand dollars each to help us to renovate the building but you know what people were happy that we bought it but many of our church family and many of our friends did not commit to help us with that one thousand dollars but you know what so happened there were some that said one thousand dollars i'll do it and when they got to 1 000 guess what they did they kept helping the church they kept contributing i know families right now that have contributed 1500 and 2 000 and 3 000 and five thousand and six thousand dollars to this project let me just tell you this is what satan is wanting people to do for us to come to god but don't bring our possession i want to serve the lord but i'm going to keep my money to myself i'm not going to serve the law with my substances i mean look at the tactics of pharaoh he wanted the children of israel to go serve the lord but when you go sacrifice to the lord they were going to need some cattle for sacrifices they were going to need some cattle amen to after they sacrificed the caru they're going to also have caddo that they can kill and eat amen to have festivals amen i said worship the lord but pharaoh wanted them to go half-heartedly the same thing satan is doing to believe us today he wants us to serve god ha i mean half heartedly he wants us to commit to to god just halfway not all the way he wants professing christians to compromise regarding the stewardship of possessions and i'm telling you i know people that left our church once they found out we were in a building program let me say let me say it and you let let me let me just come close let me tell you everybody that said jesus is lord everybody that say i love you pastor i love you lady betty i love new covenant i love jesus everybody in telling the truth because the moment they realize we are going to have to commit to give to build a house for god they started doing michael jackson saying they and dance they were just doing sliding back some of them stopped coming to church some of them left the church in a hurry and you know what you wait on the corner of virus is over all these people you're going to see them coming i finish building i will say this is my church yes it's your church but you have been half hearted about your commitment as it relates to stewardship i mean look at our membership i thank god for our faithful our faithful i don't want to start naming names god we have a lot of faithful brothers and sisters a lot of faithful mothers of zion and fathers of zion a lot of faithful members a lot of faithful youth and young adults i thank god for the commitment of these people but we have a few of our church families mm-hmm you know you know you know your pastor going to tell the truth up in here i i ain't going sugarcoat nothing we got some of you all that are acting in the compromise of pharaoh you are allowing satan to allow you to compromise you are allowing the devil to make you compromise your stand with god your commitment to god as it relates to your stewardship you want to know how people are you watch the way they spend their money i'll say it again just just like i always tell people you want to know you know uh you want to know the kind of life somebody's living check out their friends uh-huh you want to know who really loved the lord it's not about you shouting i like the shout it's not about you praying i love the prayer it's not about you reading the bible i love reading the bible it's not about you just coming to church i love going to church it's about being obedient obedience to the word of god we must be obedient to what god has told us to do bring ye ties into my into my house that's what god says amen i and i'm one of those pastor i don't beg nobody for money hallelujah because let me tell you you need your money god doesn't need your money god wants you to bring your tithe into his house not because god needs your money but because you need money god wants to rebuild the devourer for your sake this is why many of you can you can make ends meet you stealing from god you still broke doesn't that teach you something at least if i'm being obedient to god and i'm broke i can go to god and say god i'm obedient to you you know i'm a good steward of my substance i'm obeying your word lord what is going on with my job what is going on you know with my family and now you can you can challenge god say god i obey you i worship you i've been born again i'll go to your house in worship i'm a good steward of my finances so lord what you doing you are able to go to god but when you've been stealing from god it's hard to go to god to say lord uh bless me with a job god say i bless you with a job two years ago i gave you three increases you know what you did you stopped tithing the solicitation of satan is to make christians proof you know professing christians to compromise us in regards to the stewardship of our possession i tell people all the time my home belongs to jesus my vehicles belong to jesus my money belongs to jesus i don't own anything he owns everything he just puts me in charge amen and uh the same thing with you don't think because i use my house i pay for it sister brother is god it is jesus without him we can do nothing hallelujah you may say well this is my money let me tell you one single major sickness can wipe you out one one single sickness can wipe you even if your millionaire can wipe you out this is why i tell people don't you trust in your money don't you trust in your cars don't you trust in your fame the bible says some trust in horses some trust in chariots but we will trust in the name of the lord the name of jesus the name of the lord is a strong tower the righteous run into it and they are saved blessed be the name of the lord my brothers and sisters stop trusting in on certain riches many of you that hate jobs great jobs look at what chronovirus did to you you lost the job now you're on unemployment then the unemployment went down let me just tell you and you're still here especially if you have been faithful to god if you've been faithful to god god is still taking care of you you see her roof over your head you say have clothes on your back amen you say i have your life even though you may be sick you can pray to god to touch your body and heal you but oh my brothers and sisters you don't ever want to find yourself in the hand of an angry god your money won't be able to save you your fame will not be able to save you your position will not be able to save you your car your house will not be able to save you we have to surrender all to jesus oh to him i surrender my life my spouse my children my businesses my finances my ministry i submit my home everything that i own i submit it to god that's what we that's the way we need to live our lives to surrender our lives to the lord don't let the devil make a fool out of you let me say it again don't let the devil make a fool out of you amen uh tonight as i come to a close i want to close tonight amen the hardest response for a christian to make is to say no to a possible compromise moses ability to refuse pharaoh came from the lord and my brothers and sisters god will give you the strength the strength to say no to satan god will give you the strength to say no when satan is coming to attack you god will give you the the the know-how he will give you the faith that you need he will give you the strength that you need to stand and say hey i'm going to stand in faith and stand with god i pray tonight that god will give all of us the power to say no their power to say no to the walls of the devil the power to say no to satan when satan comes to us with temptation for us to be able to have the power to tell him no hey man amen amen if you have any questions go ahead and ask your as as he prepares to leave office let's keep him in prayer that everything will go well with the transition amen uh we only we need to pray for uh biden and harris amen president-elect and vp elect uh let's pray for both of them and their transition team they're actually already working on uh they pull coronavirus or team together to try to get this virus under control and get it out get it out get it out of america so i pray maybe that's why i'm excited i i'm excited to have our lives back amen i i i'm so i'm i'm ready i'm ready to be able to hug my brothers i'm ready to be able to hug my sisters i'm ready amen now it may not be immediate i mean we may be talking about this till 2021 2021 but whatever it is we don't want to lose anyone we don't want anyone to die because of this virus there's a lot of deaths already over 240 000 that's somebody's mother somebody's father somebody's children somebody's uncle somebody's aunt amen uh somebody's brother somebody's sister somebody's parents amen we want to pray for god to uh to to help us in america america is a very advanced country still dealing with his virus is just i mean it's mind-boggling to me i don't know what it what it is maybe because of our sin maybe we need to repent and turn from our wicked ways for god to hear from heaven and to heal america amen pray for the country amen so i look forward to seeing you all
