[Music] good morning adventures I'm waiting from the Cotswolds we are here in the lovely Cotswolds it is our last full day here and we are gonna go on a walk not a hike oh wow that's what you do when you here it's gonna be beautiful you're excited to get out of the house at fit it's a little bit overcast today which we are alright with that because it's not supposed to rain but it means it's gonna be nice and cool yes and hopefully we won't get sunburned but we are gonna go do a hike through the slaughters which has nothing to do with killing slaughtering no but it's supposed to be a very beautiful walk and I think there's some nice little pugs and some places to grab tea along the way it's a good day yes but first we want to give you guys a tour of the place we've been staying so this is an old bakery we'll give you more information in just a bit but first the tour so we are upstairs in the master room which has this amazing a-frame roof it has the timber in the ceiling and then it has all this old stone which is so beautiful and up here it's really nice and quiet it has this huge comfortable bed and then this nice little sitting area with a couch and a TV so you can sleep up here but you can also relax up here the design style in this place is very nice super quaint really charming it's got like a rustic vibe all these little trinkets and things all on the walls and and little paintings hanging up this is just like I think our favourite vibe because it just feels like medieval well you know the the title for this Airbnb is quintessentially Cotswolds and I think that is the absolute perfect title so this is the upstairs portion of the house we have the upstairs master bathroom so we have this white shower with a waterfall shower head up there plenty of natural light because you have the skylight over here you also have this window that kind of looks out into something greenery and some of the other cottage houses this part over here is really nice because you have this brick stonework in this nice seating area and this is the neatest part of this place this staircase so it kind of wraps around down to the bottom the whole theme thing is lined with brick and stone and also this really neat light fixture which adds a really nice ambiance to it we thought it would be a little creepy at night but it's actually just kind of cool so now we can head downstairs kind of a main living room and kitchen area down here we have the living room and dining area in the kitchen which is all open so the air can be sitting at the table while I'm cooking and we still get to hang out and listen to music together but it has this lovely little seating area had this amazing old vintage fridge and all these old pieces of artwork like the Campbell's Soup posters which are really cool reminds us of our childhood we all this house even comes with its own little history book we were just flipping through it and it looks like the main house on this property was built in the 16th maybe even 15th century ruins the greenery and across from us is the Old Town bakery that were I think they said maybe in the 18th century they were built whatever where whenever they were bought it is crazy old here so much history it's so amazing and so beautiful [Music] all right we are heading out on today's adventure we're getting out a little bit later than we intended because we've just been walking around the grounds and taking photos and just exploring it a bit we got a really cool photo on these stairs right here so make sure you head over to our Instagram to see how that one turned out all right we're off are you ready I'm ready to eat yeah we're getting pretty hungry now I can go to lunch but it's 2 p.m. now and we're a bunch of idiots so I don't know I don't know if well hike first or eat first I guess stay tuned to see what happens [Music] [Applause] [Music] [Music] [Applause] [Music] [Applause] [Music] [Applause] we managed to find a parking spot for our black beauty back there we weren't sure if that was legal parking but we didn't see a no parking sign so and everyone else's parked there so I think we're good all right we are going to get some grub before we do anything because we're realizing just how hungry we are we waited way too long to eat a proper lunch but there's I when I was researching little walks to do in the area this one popped up and apparently there's an old mill it's a museum and I believe a little restaurant so should have some tea and some delicious little lunch bites so that's why we're headed now yeah the town is super cute though they have this stream running through the whole thing bunch of really old buildings with vines growing on them and all kinds of stuff it's very nice [Music] they have a little tea house inside the mill and in this the coolest little spot we were just sitting here like ah this is our idea of a nice day we're sitting here we have the water here with a bunch of cute little ducks roaming around sheep off in the distance on the hills back there it's so quiet and secluded but I got a cappuccino which looks delicious Alison with the latte I think and then she went with the quiche in the salad Mediterranean quiche yes then you got it yeah courgette soup with a little ham yeah this bread is awesome yeah lunch time [Music] the earliest record of this mill is in the year 1086 and we were reading on the menu and had a bunch of facts about the history and it said the first mention was in what we thought was called the Doomsday book but then we looked it up and it was it's Domesday book but when you look at it you really just your mind goes to doomsday for whatever reason we're in lower slaughter it seemed like doomsday would have made sense but we read up on the book and it says it was a manuscript record of the great survey of much of England and parts of Wales completed in 1086 by order of King William the Conqueror so now you know [Music] guys they had ice cream at the tea house but we were too busy getting a photo of it and it started to melt but it is delicious I got summer berries maybe you a chocolate I always go with chocolate seems simple this is so good we might have made a bit of a mess with it but the ice cream is bomb thread that the mill actually won an award for their ice cream or it is really well known in the area for it and I can see why we only got one scoop that was a really good call mm-hmm after the cappuccino and everything I can't handle more than that nope all better no more ice cream pizza [Music] you guys we had heard about this that some of these old phone boxes they've actually replaced with defibrillators machines check that out that's cool it actually has a proper use again the simulator at the top are you happy to be in nature I love public what do they call it they knock footpath footpaths in England they are the most magical things ever you just walk through amazing fields and landscape and it's so much better than walking on the roads or having to just be in a park or something you're just out on the in the land I love it [Music] this is your favorite thing ever this is so cool we've walked through so many fields and the sheep never stay this close this is maybe the closest we've gotten ever we made a quick stop in the town of what bort bort Caen bourton-on-the-water I kept thinking it was ya our GPS informed her that it sportin she thought it she was just getting it wrong on the GPS yeah Bolton but we got a couple pints I decided it's last minute to get stellar just because it looked so delicious and cold because how could you not order a beer by that name but it's just like ruby-red I tried it that's real nice really yeah it's like a cast being super smooth we had an amazing day that hike was so much fun walk was so much fun I feel like that's exactly what we needed we just wanted to just be out in the middle of nowhere cuz I feel like we spent so much time in cities recently yeah and we just loved the English countryside anyway like our favorite so cool but check this out we got this wine I just thought I picked it out because the name was so great the secretary bud you've got to say it with a British accent I don't know why cuz I think it's from South Africa but isn't that just the funniest label by the way if you are new to this channel make sure you hit the subscribe button and also there's actually a little Bell next to the subscribe button if you click that that is the way that you'll get notified of our future videos that we're gonna post just clicking the subscribe button doesn't do it for some reason so tomorrow we are heading to a new country well I guess we've been there before but we're heading to Wales donea cuz we've always wanted to go yeah so we went to Cardiff once before and you guys are like why didn't you go up to Snowdonia and we're doing it now I cannot wait this was a little teaser into beautiful countryside oh yeah it's gonna get better for sure it's gonna be amazing but I think we're gonna drink our wine we have our heater going over here so it's a little chilly outside yeah it's nice and cozy in here the
