[Music] [Music] [Applause] [Music] [Music] so [Music] [Music] [Music] [Applause] [Music] [Music] [Music] [Applause] [Music] [Music] [Music] so [Music] [Music] so [Music] the pat mcafee show there'll be no rules for our guests for us for the things we can talk about speaking his mind i've never had a problem expressing my opinions or my thoughts or anything like that while being relatable i haven't had that manufactured fake ass celebrity that a lot of people have whenever they go on those big networks i've had a chance to really build my crew build my following build my audience and ridiculous what am i supposed to do so i'm supposed to look at something that i can definitely afford and say is that what i'm supposed to do the pat mcafee show starts in three three two one good afternoon beautiful people it is tuesday february 16 2021 and this sports show begins immediately following this beat drop by twine there it is here we go we got a great day uh michael lombardi former general manager of the cleveland browns and new england patriots coaching assistant will be joining us in about 22 minutes to talk about all the things happening behind the scenes right now that we can't see all the people that are lying try to move and shake their team to a better place then in the second hour we have a man named rob ninkovich joining us from the new england patriots multiple times super bowl champion now he works uh at espn he said something the other day about gronk and deshawn watson being diner in miami who told him that what are you shaking your head for over there first photo was not rob nankovich who was it i think it was matt wasn't mad it might have been matt i didn't see i did not see him oh come on anyways rob ninkovich does not deserve uh whatever treatment foxy in the crew behind the glass just gave to him uh he this is a mike bibby j will situation not all whites look the same right foxy okay not all [ __ ] whites look the same if i defend myself right now then you guys oh foxy's point now who is it because they'll say i didn't make that package who was it the guy that makes the packages every single day not me it was bill bill mccomas bill you son of a [ __ ] but also bill mccomas most basic looking white okay bill not every white person looks the same all right not every white professional athlete is the same person oh he's got a past jersey on him that's definitely not that's nick that's for sure he has a beard anyways if you're listening on siriusxm channel 82 mad dog sports radio we do apologize uh there's pictures being shown over my shoulder a la the john stewart our daily show back in the day where he would talk and pictures be up there i don't necessarily see them unless they go up on the full screen i did not know that we completely spit in our second guest today's eye and face with putting up the wrong white whenever we were referring to him rob nankovich multiple times super bowl champ will join us he said gronk and deshawn will be down in miami next year who told him that how does he know that we'll talk to him about all the rumor mills happening and plus there are some things coming out about the 2017 new england patriots scene that we will talk about i assume i'll follow up with him about that as well dove climbing did some deep internet diving and found some interviews and everything like that it seems like the patriots are potentially on a path of failure for the next 10 to 15 years if the stories from behind the scenes that are coming out being leaked which is mostly [ __ ] we do know that is anywhere near true we'll talk about that today that is actually a rather large story russell wilson isn't going anywhere as of a couple hours ago via jocena anderson's tweet that says current status there's a lot of drama potentially still popping off with desean watson down in houston since j.j watt was released from the houston texans by jack easterby and the boys a snowstorm has crashed down on texas ice everywhere jack eastwood a man of the lord seems like he brought hell's wrath alongside of texas whenever he decided to get j.j watt out of there teas and peas everybody in texas and in the country that is battling this [ __ ] blizzard that is currently outside of our office as well uh and in the third hour today we have darius leonard joining us and i cannot wait to chat with him darius leonard is known as the maniac just last week or a week before that he challenged triple h to a wrestling match triple h responded by saying you come down here we'll be a tag team let's go the game and the maniac versus whoever we'll talk to him about his wrestling dreams and the indianapolis coach which are right in the middle of this entire quarterback drama with carson wentz and uh potentially russell wilson but he is currently not on the move he's not on the move but so we can't just continue to perpetuate an absolute lie like that russell wilson's allegedly not leaving anywhere but the coats are looking for a quarterback darius leonard put out a tweet the other day and said he doesn't care how big your name is when you come to play for the indianapolis coats and more specifically he was talking about the defense because i think people are saying maybe j.j watt comes up to the indianapolis coats which would be awesome for the city the team and the afc south going back to houston and playing against them twice a year he sounds how big your name is when you come here you work every day or something like that okay he's setting a tone uh down in tampa they are not saying that by the way they're like hey you went off wednesday [ __ ] do whatever you got to do darius leonard and the coats have a great squad right now cannot wait to chat with him about all of that tone diggs is here he battled the elements i did tell him this morning with how bad the roads were by the way don't know where how it is where you are here highways are just covered in snow all of our streets covered in snow it is still snowing it's only getting colder i believe it is not great conditions told all the boys hey if you don't feel safe don't come in face time with diggs last night and i said hey dicks you're too far stay home do not want you crashing me being the reason for your death i would have to come out and say i love ton i love dicks i told him to stay home he deserved to die he chose not to do that that's what i would have had to say didn't want to have to say that but all the people on the internet that are talking about this storm that we're currently living in they don't remember you and i grew up in pittsburgh oh yeah okay it is mountain either a lot of hills there it is very cold we get a lot of snow but whenever i'm taking a video at a red light and the entire six-lane road that i'm on is completely covered in snow and there's people sliding everywhere the people on the internet that are saying that's not a storm where the [ __ ] do you live and why do you live there i understand that what we are having right now is not maybe like you know uh greenland all right or or alaska or wherever the hell you're at but i think anybody would say this is a relatively bad blizzard we got out here and there's gonna there's 300 some crashes this morning in indiana alone 300 some crashes this morning i assume it's only getting you worse thanks for your service covered cowboy and coming down here for the good of the people yeah i mean we got 10 inches which is a decent show or snow and show by the way yeah yeah and show the score growing up in pittsburgh i mean where you going to put it in neutral going down the hills you got to get a 40 50 mile an hour start going up where it's flat here yeah i ain't i ain't missing the show from 10 it for 10 inches maybe if it was 30 inches we talk about it i respect it i mean just bought a truck oh yeah 20 gallon tank but it's got four wheel drive hell yeah yeah a little bit conflicting there i don't know how that works but your truck did look good out there with the snow and the tides point two gallons um oh just called baby baby tank i love driving the snow though but yeah and i mean unless you're like buffalo or minnesota or something like that keep your mouth shut okay there's a lot of people snow shaming me a lot of people snow shaming [ __ ] a lot of people are snowshoeing me on the internet less i think that was a big thing i guess that happens when blizzards pop off and i'm gonna let those people know they have to battle through that type of [ __ ] every day more power to you yeah because this morning i watched a sweet old lady in a honda civic trying to get out of a walmart parking lot and she just yoda lee leonard right into the guard round she's probably still there yes probably probably still there if i had to guess now look would i have stopped and got her for sure did not know she went all the way there was obviously trucks and cops around but that's happening everywhere 300 and some crashes here in indiana this morning i assume it's like that where you are hope you're other than florida i'm getting messages from people and for aqs golfing down i'm getting selfies of aq and blaine gabbard golfing at some golf course in tampa super bowl champs golf in the sun something like that okay aq i can't wait to deal with that for the rest of my life i got baron corbin commenting under it uh down here in florida it's good suck it he says to me so i think everybody but florida is potentially in hell right now i won't let you know although we do love the state of florida and we appreciate the state of florida and potentially going to be in the state of florida soon we're on the side of everybody else that's battling through this we'll continue to do the show as long as we have to uh at boston connor what's going on pal uh not much pat you know all this stuff about the patriots is coming out you know i did have a mustache this morning just because i feel like gotta switch the mojo up a little after all this shaming for bill belichick in new england yeah publicly not looking good for the patriots at this point got amendola coming out doing his thing about his thing you know some people coming out saying bill belichick still bill belichick though let's have a little bit of respect now the story that's coming out and let's just get right into it dove climbing kind of i found this whole thing nfl dove climbing who i don't know if it's dove or dove but we appreciate him we you we utilize whatever is that he or she i'm not here we utilize nfl dove climbing stuff every day it's an incredible twitter account if you're an nfl fan and now granted chef d ian all of them really insiders pelosaro in field yates obviously right and morton and all there's insiders or insiders dove does an incredible job of collecting and like finding things and tweeting out so we thank him immensely oh yeah the story that's coming out about 2017 new england patriots of brandon cooks being traded for over there that was allegedly a move that the patriots moved uh made to have brandon cooks and jimmy g become the dynamic duo of the past like tom brady and randy moss brandon cooks was brought in allegedly in 2017 to fit into the jimmy g plan moving forward with the new england patriots that season tom brady won the mvp and they had to move on from jimmy g they send him to san fran and brandon cooks gets traded away after that as well even though they had massive success now looking back on that the patriots assumed that tom brady style of football would not be one that brandon cooks would excel in the the specific scheme or strategy they had now just a couple years later here jimmy g almost got traded because he missed the depot in a super bowl by 70 yards and tom brady had the most deep ball completions he's ever had this season became a proficient and very efficient deep ball thrower for the tampa bay buccaneers because bruce arians and he and byron left which came together and they decided to do that so bill belichick uh if this story is accurate we don't know if this story is accurate we have to say it bill belichick josh mcdaniels thought tom brady couldn't throw the [ __ ] depot you know what i don't like about your deep ball the damn thing doesn't get completed as a deep ball that's what they said is their evaluation process completely gone if they didn't know tom still had it bruce aryans clyde christensen quarterback coach for tampa buccaneers told us uh before this season started he said i watched all the film right his arm still had tremendous pop he was hitting holes if you watch the film you could see he could still sling it and we will do that here and they did this year what's going on in new england does this worry you that potentially everything in new england is completely broken going forward if they have no evaluation process not only for remember last year bill skipped the combine was that a division two players got he didn't get drafted that guy i don't think and then the draft choice is not that great up there for a long time the salary cap is over is this just something like um you know they say some people in some professions if they're the only and some people get this obviously if they're the only person doing anything for the company and after a long time of success they think that that person's creative energy juice has been completely drained from said person in the product is still suffering from it because that person is still in charge of every decision even though it there is a chance that that person has lost all of the it factor that potentially had this person at the top of the mountain for a long time i think that can go in one particular business and then in this particular business you have to wonder bill belichick greatest coach of all time greatest gm of all time as well because he was the gm of the dynasty has he just completely lost it is he broken is that a problem in new england are you guys worried at all as more of this danny amendola it's more like the tom brady way now you got this does that not worry you going forward at all that maybe bill belichick is done and he just he just ain't got it anymore well with danny amendola you know i choose to listen to more of uh a keep to leib's take versus amendola's take so i understand that completely there's two sides to every wheel as we know but you know because everybody on god's green no just has one side though well you know when you think about it though you're cutting in half there's a top and there's a ball oh so now you're cutting a wheel in half it's not a wheel anymore well yeah half a wheel it's kind of more of like the trapezoid you saw you know last night plowing all the snow you know what i'm so true very true but anyways two sides of the story go ahead but uh if because everybody on earth believes the patriots are dead and belichick lost it and all that it makes me feel better just because i like to fade the public if everyone's thinking left i'm going right oh you know oh you're a contrarian hey look brandon cooks you know he signed a massive contract and then what less than a year later he's out of that town too so perhaps it did start with coax in new england but hey you got traded from new orleans as well what happened there yeah he's been traded a lot but every all of his teammates have come out and said he's not a bad teammate it just hasn't been a good fit and maybe it's contract wise and that's why they don't cut him because everybody's a little bit worried about that but you i also in dove climbing's deep diving into the internet oh yeah i didn't even see this quote from 2017. tom brady was getting interviewed by milking uh jim gray is that his name yeah i know he's a very notable person and there should not be a room of six people in our age that follow sports i have no idea who that guy is that's the state of the times though baby hey sorry mr gray i apologize uh i know you've done great work appreciate everything you've done thank you thank you thank you jim for what you've done for sport but this was in 2017 and uh it is the milken milk what is it the milk it is milken institute global hell yeah conference i love this i mean this is some i mean [ __ ] huh they got this gray fella they got tom brady getting interviewed what the hell does the milking institute do how are they making the immunity pills it might be all right um they're not milking i don't think that is it's milk in i believe it's a name if i like oh yeah in there at the end the global conference gathered the best minds in the world to tackle some of its most stubborn challenges nah steve weatherford's doing that the wilkins did anything so they dove kleiman found this 2017 interview and if you listen to the thoughts that cooks was brought in uh for jimmy g moving forward and they wanted to move on from tom but then tom won the mvp in the 2017 season then you hear the story about him being called tommy [ __ ] foxborough and the lack of respect and everything and then mr gray here asked him this question at the milken institute global conference and this was his answer in 2017 how did the sports i want to let everybody know if we were a show when this happened just because of the pettiness of our nature of our show we would have certainly covered this but i don't think this got a lot of traction at the time in 2017. so when gisele says feel appreciated this brings to mind coach belichick and mr kraft do you feel appreciated by them and do they have the appropriate gratitude for what you have achieved i plead the fifth whoa whoa so things have been terrible up there for a long long time i plead the fifth knowing people were probably going to hear that including bill belichick with the question of giselle was saying these types of things in 2017 i guess the writing was on the wall for a lot of people that this was going to happen it's amazing that they had any success the last couple years they were together congrats on them both getting out of there tom getting out of there if we go back to that video to talk about something though as an internet company here dove climbing just putting his name right on the top corner because he's the one that brought it back gangster move gangster move hey dove glideman i want to let you know we appreciate the hell out of you i'm not 100 sure how the milken institute global conference feels about you just tagging that thing but i want to let you know keep doing it we appreciate you this leads to the potential narrative though that the patriots might be dead forever at this point yeah i mean when everyone gets treated the same when not everyone is the same because brady is you know at a different level than everyone else that obviously grows on you as it should have that's the college football thing you know all players are equal yeah all players get treated the same and then whenever he gets the nfl it's like hey this is a five star matchup this one bruce aryan's actually yeah this is an actual game for a game we were playing when he was the interim head coach when chuck um was battling leukemia in the middle of the season uh bruce aaron's literally not a big talker he talks a lot of [ __ ] and he'll keep it moving but pre-game speeches night before the meetings things like that team meetings on wednesdays he's pretty quick he keeps things very quick the wednesday before some game we were playing uh the keys to victory where our five stars players got to beat the [ __ ] out of their five star players you role players just get out of the way okay then another game later it was like hey this going to be a role player game okay our five stars cancel out their five stars our role players are gonna have to make plays just in that statement by the way what is he doing immediately well he's separating the team into a reality of what it is like hey our stars got to play today and by the way he's not the one that does that you know who does it the contracts that the team negotiated that are publicly broadcasted so whenever you have a tier already built in by the way contracts are paid within the locker room it's going to be very difficult for people to continue to buy in to be treated the exact same no matter where you are on that tier because the organization has already said hey this person is much more important to our entire process than everybody else now you would hope that in a team manner the high end players will be your hardest working players the players that would buy in the highest paid players would be the guys that are that are in there first and the last ones out of the building and buy into everything which by the way tom brady by all accounts is but whenever people are saying like yeah everybody was treated the exact same there you could see how that could work for some players but then at some point tom brady after befriending peyton manning golfing with peyton seeing things that are going on and and tom's hearing peyton say things you know and peyton's like i just one guy i really like so we brought him back on the team he was there for hey his name is austin culley like we brought her or tom santiago or somebody they liked him and tom's like i have favorite wide receivers too we cut him all the [ __ ] time yeah and he starts hearing these things you could see why he potentially want to get out of there but with all these narratives coming out that that's how it is up there who's going to want to go up there cam newton went up there okay he was a free agent for what 86 nights or whatever paid him a million bucks matt stafford did not confirm nor deny he said anywhere but new england everybody's like that must be because matt patricia i don't think that's because matt patricia i think that's because much like me okay i'm 33 years old right now could go punt balls if i really wanted to but if i was to get back into the league i'm nowhere near matthew stafford's level okay i mean wow at my position i will say i potentially did a damage at my position nowhere near as talented as matthew stafford he's a quarterback i'm hunter it's very different but if i was to go back there's only certain places where you're like okay i would do this and now matthew stafford it going into his 12th year if he's going to get traded out of detroit because they've had such a long history of suck up there now kneecap biting might change that entire thing but you could see how he'd be like okay i want to go to a couple places maybe warm too like hey i'm kind of getting older like maybe a little warm would be nice so everybody was like he's saying that because of matt patricia but maybe he's saying it because he's like i do not want to go do the way the patriot way is i have to talk to danny amendola and i are very very tight i just don't want to go do that entire we're miserable everybody's the same thing when it's been proven that other ways win as well and i think that could be the biggest tough thing going forward is unless you can draft and create which they have not proved that they can in new england yeah as of late like granted obviously 199 to draft to tom brady that's yeah pretty good [ __ ] draft pick yeah but i'm just saying as they're gonna have to build i think this thing from a young team moving forward you got players that opted out last year they're going to come back hopefully they play again and they play well but it does look like it's a potentially long hard road for the old new england patriots move forward well and especially when stafford said like hey i want to go to a team and i want to play in big games i want to go a team that's ready for a championship and obviously we all know new england's at the moment not one of those teams there is a team over there in green bay that's potentially in the jj watts sweepstakes but jj has had a dozen teams reach out for him and uh the one he's potentially most interested in says mary kay cabot of the cleveland plains dealer bingo has been covered in browns for a long time mary kay has given us a lot of breaking news over the years for the cleveland browns she said that j.j watt is thoroughly interested in the cleveland browns now if he goes to cleveland the longest rival of the pittsburgh steelers where his brothers are does jj watt hate his family and does jj watt hate his home if he doesn't go to the green bay packers we can say anything about it and also thank you for sacrificing your body and driving into work after being told not to come by the way ty but jj watt potentially a packer pretty cool this morning though report from florio says no no he might be a cleveland brat i mean i think there's absolutely no way he's going to go oh whoa hold on i would assume hold on though cleveland browns are going all in yeah cleveland brown's bringing in adele they pay austin hooper they pay kareem hunt they now baker mayfield had his best year yet will he consider they're gonna have to pay him probably but the bronze miles garrett they're going the browns seem to be going all in on a win more than the packers would be maybe that's why jj watt he's like if i could package this they got aaron rodgers who's obviously the guy and i guess they did pay some money last off-season but they're not going to go all in like the browns potentially better football team i mean you have a better chance you know i mean brown's going to beat the chiefs next year probably not you know but uh i think to your point too like the only thing that worries me is yeah typically the packers don't make like a splash in free agency like this they wouldn't go after a guy like him but also like if he can go to tampa or if he can go somewhere warm and you've been in texas like i just it'd be very tough i mean yeah he's from wisconsin but [ __ ] it'd be nice to just go be in tampa where it's nice all year round you know you're going to be good you're not paying any state income tax like it that's that's quite appealing i was going to say that really stacks up joining us now is a man who was a general manager in cleveland and also uh he was a pretty important piece of the new england patriots executive committee he is a man who will talk to us about you know this free agency that it is now is it anything like that in the past is this crazy and how do you get people to come to cleveland instead of let's say tampa or somewhere else ladies and gentlemen host of the gm shuffle pod and the lombardi line ladies and gentlemen michael limbach nice to be back again how are you paisan we miss you over here great haircut you look fantastic let's get right into it j.j watts stories are are coming out mary kay cabot of the cleveland plains dealer in cleveland says jj watt has legitimate interest in the cleveland bronze they're a great team i don't know why you wouldn't have legitimate interest aside from the fact your brothers are on the division rival in pittsburgh potentially go back to green bay because you're from wisconsin maybe over there in tampa when you're a gm like let's say andrew berry is in cleveland right now and that team's different than the one you were currently involved in when you were there how do you talk to these players to get them to pick cleveland over la tampa miami maybe these other places that are going to become a bit appealing but you know it's always about two things it's about the chance to win and a chance to make the most money right so i think whenever these free agencies we hear about them all the time there's usually rarely there's more than two teams interested in any one player it a lot of it is the agent's driving up the interest to create a situation where there's this you know incredible market for a player he's got eight teams nine teams i've never been other than reggie white when he was a free agent i've never been in a market where it had eight teams like i never have and this year because of supply and demand the supply is so much higher the demand will be lower because really i don't know so you know cleveland has an advantage because they have cap room they can pay all the money up front put a higher cap number on it than say team like pittsburgh who has no capper you know so it's all predicated on that so i think as a general manager you got to kind of ignore the noise focusing on what you think the value is of the player and what role the player can play for you thank you for bringing that up because i mean you alluded to a couple things there allegedly a dozen teams are interested in jj watt depending upon what j.j watts looking for i'm intrigued to see how this whole thing plays out but whatever you just said that you have to ignore the noise outside you were a part of trading for a number one overall pick with trent richardson coming to the indianapolis colts you were in the cleveland browns side of that thing get a number one overall get rid of an asset that you thought would no longer was worth that or whatever and i guess hindsight you ended up being accurate even though trent was a good guy okay the whole thing it seemed like you were writing that move how do you know what's real and what isn't because that's a blind bid right when you're a gm and you're in a trade that's a completely blind negotiation where you have no idea what the other people are offering at all right then you have to do you even listen to the insiders or is that all [ __ ] out there because people are trying agents are trying to get their narrative out there other gm's i'd assume are trying to get their narrative out there like how do you pick and choose what's real and what is it everybody has an agenda and you got to figure out what the agenda is i mean so as a gm you know like for the trent richardson you know i i basically said if we don't trade this guy now the what we know about them people are going to figure out sooner than later so the perception is right now the perception of him being a great player is the reality once that's not the case then we won't get any value for him and then we'll really be stuck so you've got to maximize when the perceptions are higher when you know what the reality is that's a b you also got to know who your competition is and so you know yeah there's a bunch of teams interested in jjy interest and put money on the table are way different way different i don't doubt there's eight teams interested i don't doubt that that eight teams made phone calls to his agent 12 teams but i'm talking about cash on the table i'm talking about a substantial offer where you're getting this green in exchange for the player to sign those are about two teams at the most when you're competing and when you're in this trade market you've got a you got to look through it and see what makes sense let's take marcus mariota for example right the raiders have them under contract for 10 million he's due to make 20 million if he becomes a starting quarterback so if you trade it for him you've got to count that he's going to be and operate under that contract he's going to be 20 million okay who's your competition for him washington was interested i don't think they're interested anymore new england was interested i'm not sure they're interested anymore so the more work you do on the player you kind of lead you to where it's going to go and so you just basically know that the raiders have to cut this kit because they can't carry 10 million and so you've got to wait till the perfect timing to swoop in to say okay i'm interested but it's only going to be for this interesting interesting so you have to scout for other teams as well you have to look at their cap space as well for instance with trent richardson were we were the coats the only ones that were in that conversation because and was that conversation already finished when jim irsay was putting out tweets like hey something big is about to happen he was tweeting like hey something massive is about to come to indianapolis and we in the locker room are like whoa what's going on what is this middle of the season what the hell is going on was that a part of it was that after the deal was done or was that something you were like oh i pretty much i know that it was done so i lost right and joe banner had a relationship with ryan grigson so he's actually going through the trade i'm at usc scouting players we're getting ready to play minnesota that weekend in minnesota so i went out to l.a kind of do ucla usc i wonder why i wanted to watch uh the ucla quarterback i wanted to see some of the players out in the west coast because then i can fly to minnesota so i'm out there and i parked my car right in the parking lot at sc and so i'm in the meeting i'm scouting these players we're watching the tape and my phone beeps and joe's like i think i got it done because earlier in the morning we were like if he gives us the one we got to make the deal right and i was afraid he was going to back out of it so banner says he texts me and says we got the one make the deal okay call the player so i got to go find my car i forgot where the hell i parked it walking around that parking lot like i believe right so i call the security guard i call the security guard this lady shows up she says i'll drive you around you'll find your car home and i'm in her car at that moment i am in her car i give her 20 i said man can't repeat what i'm about to say to anybody right you can't repeat i don't want your money i said look you take that money i you can't repeat that's when we made the trade and then i called richardson to tell him he was trading there's a gm lost in california okay there's an nfl general manager lost in the parking lot i couldn't find it i'm like walking around like i was really so now ever since that day he's getting a one a number one in return and winning the trade while he's just stumbling around in the [ __ ] house it's funny my son was in san francisco when we made that trade and they were playing you in the next game and all the 49er coaches are like going over to my son like your dad's dumb man he just got his ass ripped hey stupid ahmad bradshaw ate that game against uh and i think trent scored a touchdown that game too was like one touchdown but i mean like that was that was really you look when the strength coach came to me in august and said no no no all right we're not dumping on trent richardson all right let's move forward you made a good trade you said enough at this point okay when you know inside what the perception is different outside that's when you got to make a move you made a great move let's talk about a perception that isn't great inside apparently or outside and that's carson wentz i know that there's a lot of nfl people that say hey he's still got good football left but coming alongside that is a massive contract and it's coming he's coming out of an organization that seems to be the second biggest fire in the nfl right now somehow but it would be the number one by far if jack easterby didn't pray his ass right into houston the eagles organization seems to be on fire everybody knows that they want to unload carson but when you know that somebody wants to unload something don't you kind of have them in the bag and then all the media reports are just a bunch of [ __ ] it seems like for the last two weeks he's been reportedly about to be traded within the next couple days then they said there was an incredible interest from chicago and indy and then the next day was reported no fair offers have been made it's like everything's kind of [ __ ] coming out of there where do you think he ends up and how do they win that trade other than just unloading that contract and getting carson out of the building well there's a drop dead point right you know when you go to when you go to japan they don't typically negotiate with you to do contracts until you're probably two hours away from leaving for the airport right the reason that is is because that's really the only time you're serious when you've got to leave right everything else is just posturing long flight too by the way hey i've done that flight you ain't going the eagles are posturing right they're posturing and they know that on the third day of the league year they got to pay 10 million dollars in a roster bonus which they will not pay they're not paying that okay and so they got to make a trade by then so they've tried to create this illusionary market out there they've tried to do it they've taken billboards out with the worldwide leader they've done everything they possibly can to create this market that has come flat two weeks ago he was supposed to get traded for a blockbuster right and that hasn't happened so most teams are looking around saying we're not in it we're not in it you in it we're not it and so the eagles at some point will realize two days before that roster bonus is due either we we make this deal or it ain't worth us to pay 10 million what's the billboard at the worldwide leader that's funny that means leaking information to espn basically making it seem like you've got a lot and people called your bluff you know man that you know that's kind of they're saying wait a minute you know what we're interested but we're not interested at these numbers i hate that everything i think and everything that we've uh been told for all this time is just a bunch of [ __ ] you know that though that's the that's where you have to take what you read and then figure out what the motivation is behind it why is russell wilson upset well yeah he would like to have a better offensive line but he's 12 million he's making 12 million less than patrick mahomes why is aaron rodgers upset well he's making 12 million less than patrick mahomes they don't deserve to make less than him they're just as good maybe not as good but they should be in the same so when you see a story it may not always be what the story's about so oh man so everything's a lie everything's pretty much a lie yeah that's a heartbreaker what about hey you got good raiders you started there right you started raiders i started the 49ers but i worked at the raiders for 10 years of my life with al davis yes that was so that's like 30 years me and the raiders fan base uh sector of the raiders fan base is you know kind of going at it right now about my positioning on derrick carr this season the day after derek carr had a snipe a navy seal was on the roof of the stadium they're playing on thursday night football against the los angeles chargers and the navy seal sniper the same one that uh i am the captain now on the back of the boat yeah they they shot them the same sniper shot derek carr right in his hip flexor or his groin in the middle of that game did you do you remember that whenever he went off yeah and mariota that game really is what people as the raiders are trying to sell mariota's career on basically okay okay hold on mike hold on mike hold on so the day after that game we talked about is that the last time we'll see derek carr as a raider he's hurt we know the quarterback market the way it is we know that he and gruden have not had the success i would assume that gruden won it even though they've had a little bit of one we did this entire thing conor took the next step he's like say goodbye to your starting career derek you're now a journeyman and i thought you know probably coming out of surgery because i assumed he's gonna have to have surgery prime time game division rival you leave in the middle of the game mark experience i assume he played the next week so things changed drastically but now that we're at the end of the season derek carr is he on the market where is he going to end up at and i heard you're potentially in a beef with raiders fans as well it's not our fault we're just telling you what we're watching ain't that right mike yeah i mean look it's it's it is you can be with a beef i mean if you say something bad about a team you see you don't like the team that's not the case you're just trying to be objective if you want to hear positive things then don't tune in you know there's a reason why your team hasn't played very well the last three years i think derek cars played really well i think that gruden started out not really believing it he's gotten them a lot better but the raiders issues are cap and on defense and they've got some real issues john being the general manager is problematic but i think after they've gone through this unless they got a blockbuster deal for derek carr i don't think they will trade derek carr i think they will end up trading mariota or releasing mariota because they can't afford them as a backup they're in cap trouble in the sense that they've got to get below the cap plus they got to get waller who makes 6 million a year he's underpaid they've got to do something about his contract they got to sign nelson aguilar they want to sign him back so they've got a lot of issues and look let's face it can they beat the chiefs you know can they beat the chiefs and and herbert and the chargers put her back away from being a really good team if they could ever get the quarterback situation now they've been rumored to be talking to a lot of teams about quarterbacks i thought they were going to make a trade last week for a quarterback and one of the teams backed out i don't know quite how that happened but i think the broncos will be very aggressive i think the whole conversation about drew lock being the guy is over what was that well you just referred to there was a trade that was about to be made last week and then a team i thought there was some action on on denver tr was going to trade for a quarterback that i think that whether it was wence they say they're not interested in wentz whether it was somebody i don't know quite who it was but they were getting positioned to trade for somebody and it just didn't go through so i think my point here is san francisco and denver are both secretly active looking for quarterbacks well hopefully one of them elaine carson wentz uh so you're saying you're saying derek carr starter next year for sure that's how you feel about the whole thing and how will they do you think they'll make the big if they don't make the big jump is gruden's got to ask himself the question how do i replace him and it's not mariota who do i get you know he's got to look now here's what he has to do pat he's got to extend them he's got two years left on the deal he's going to have to extend this contract he's got him on a really cheap deal right now and that's important well hopefully it all works out for uh derek carr and the raiders and everything like that i hope they win herbert in that division as well by the way that's going to be a problem patrick mahomes in that division that's going to be a problem i mean they beat the chiefs though last year by the way so they they they can obviously compete is derek carr the guy in john gruden's eyes that is a great question for us to have and if you have it you better make sure that you get ready these raiders fans are awesome i will let you know they are a very loyal bunch but a lot of them are stupid as [ __ ] okay connor what do you have yeah mike allegedly uh bill belichick brought in brandon cooks in 2017 for a jimmy garoppolo offense in 2018 and then brady obviously won the mvp is that something belichick would do and uh do you believe that report and were you there no i wasn't but i mean i know what was going on i think that cooks certainly was you know first of all nick cesario loved cooks coming out of oregon state so the organization always liked cooks before he even became available so there was always that and i don't think they were building their offense around that as much as they were trying to get an outside number one receiver to challenge that part of the field that they needed to so it gave them the option when they traded the first round pick to the saints and and and clearly there were conversations of what would be different from brady to jimmy if we changed jimmy's different than tom tom's so good on third down underneath rose jimmy's going to need guys you know jimmy's going to throw vertical down the field so this it needed to be a change of an offense but it wasn't that dramatic the the the the reason for cooks was the organization especially nick cesario loved cooks okay so let's talk about that after watching tom brady in tampa for just like this past season he still had deep ball he still was good down the field is that an evaluation issue from bill belichick that was the overall question as this information was getting released about brandon cooks being in there for jimmy g's offense moving forward and everything like that and the offense always being dinking dump almost the entire thing except for that year with randy then it goes down to tampa and the guy has his best year throwing the long ball that he's ever had is that an evaluation issue in bill belichick because you guys didn't know that he had that in him still or what do you think well no i think cooks had one of his best years in the nfl for the patriots i mean when you go back i'll look at it right here when he played for the patriots in his career i mean he was he played really well for them i mean that year for new england uh you know he started 14 games he offered 16.6 yards of catch he had seven touchdowns had 65 catches i mean 16.5 per catch is pretty damn good i mean i thought tom threw him the ball they needed it my point is they needed an outside receiver and you know and and was tom always precise on throwing the ball outside not all the time but i think when he had a legitimate player on the outside like cooks he was much better there were often times where there were guys that were playing on the outside that were not quite good enough they're already tweeting about uh per michael lombardi on the pat mcafee show the broncos were close to trading for a quarterback guys you're already stirring the pot out there piezon i don't know if you know that or not they were close i mean look they're going to be active i think they're going to be really active and trying to trade for a quarterback i think the drew law conversation is over von miller's potentially out the door too that kind of i don't know who who's reporting that but there's rumors this morning on the internet that denver broncos are potentially going to move on from von miller it's like okay von miller is going to be out there potentially on the market j.j watts going to be on the market i mean there is tampa bay buccaneers could be nine deep next year what do you got todd you know but we still don't know where the cap is we still don't know that and we saw some reports the other day about how the tv contract they want to wait until they know exactly where they are with that before the cap that's going to be critical if this cap goes up to 195 as opposed to 185 that'll help a lot of teams and it will help some of these free agents on the street to try to generate more interest and more money but we got to wait to see what that cap is a lot of teams are waiting on the cap i mean we saw sanders the kicker get signed by miami today 22 mil right well the reason we haven't seen a lot of contracts done is because teams are really uncertain about the cap and where are they going to go and what are they going to be able to spend so until we get that it's really you're dealing with blind man poker it's tough poker to play guy check the rabbit cam what do you got michael i believe you knew jack easterby when he was in new england do you think his perception has been sensationalized or is he really like actually an egotistical [ __ ] like the media makes him out to be and do you think they can be successful with him basically running the franchise you know the jack that i know the jack the role that jack performed for us when i was in two minutes from 14 through 16 was tremendous he did the players love them and you could call a ton of players brandon cooks was was there you call a bunch of players that that were around jack and his role as team chaplain and team culture builder was really good and he did a tremendous job with that now he's taking on a different role and i think part of the issue here is you know whenever you get into the green stuff whenever you start talking about salaries and and dealing with players in terms of their career you can't have the same impact that you have when you're their prayer coach you know you can't go john 13 into the financial statements it's really challenging so i think that's really the new issue and you and it's hard to separate that jack's very good at what he does but in this role he can't quite have that same impact because he's dealing with their salaries he's dealing with their finances he's dealing with who stays who goes and you know we can all get around the bible and pray but but when you're dealing with people's future that becomes a little cloudy and you've got to separate that's why we keep church and state apart isn't that a rule right so i think that's that's the issue and i think obviously he's become a lightning rod for them down there and what's happened and it's become challenging as i've said for him to do the job to the best of his ability based on the perception jack 15 16 psalm 4 the lord gave his rib for his wife and took a 50 pay cut in hopes of chasing a lombardi can i get an amen brother i got you brother ladies and gentlemen michael lombardi thank you guys he's the best hey miss i'm watching the gump pics every day loving them hey dumps getting hot on the soccer uh he's good man you can't beat gum hey also we need to get you back on hammer down we got to talk about that this week we we are that show is really i mean it's becoming something pretty special we need you back in the mix by zone let me know whatever you need me my buck please call me michael lombardi thank you all right we have to get to a break there's a lot of things that happen in there a lot of things happening there we just start stirred the pot with a potential quarterback trade for the denver broncos i guess as soon as he said that i was like i didn't know that what yeah they were in position too i don't know who the other team was he does know who the other team is yeah he did not say it so i i can't wait to try to pry that out of him during the break a lot of other things were said about the patriots i mean there's a lot to talk about plus your phone calls 188 mad dog 6. this the pat mcafee show tuesday february 16 2021 siriusxm channel 82 mad dog sports rating [Music] i think i've realized this year with the conversations you do seem to be a rather normal human which is very interesting right i assume for a lot of people to hear aj said no you're not a normal human but because all the stories about you before this year to be honest a lot of people the way they believed is you were the smug king almost is what they think about it and then getting a chance to chat with you it's like well that's not the case at all how is that like something you have to focus on i assume it gets hard whenever you're hanging out with you know scott stapp is hanging aaron rodgers jerseys up in his goddamn office that has to be pretty weird well look i think that's interesting interesting thing to talk about i think a lot of times uh you know people have said things about me and for the same few people and that's been kind of the prevailing story or thing that's reflected on um i think for me you know i talked a lot about the work i did on myself it was nice and it wasn't intentional like i didn't sign the show to have like and you guys know we've talked to this off off there but there wasn't like some agenda doing this it was like [ __ ] talk to pat and aj every week yeah it sounds pretty awesome it has been by the way that sounds amazing but what it's allowed me to do is i think silence all the douchebags out there who were you know talking for me and making themselves more relevant by using my name or you know running with stories that were not really based in any type of fact and look i've grown as a person uh you know i've said things and done things that i wish i'd handled a little better but this was a great natural authentic like whatever whether it was 15 minutes of the stadium or 45 minutes to just like [ __ ] and have a conversation you know if you're a friend of mine if you know me i think this is about as normal as interaction you're gonna see from me it's not a lot of bs you're not gonna hear cliches and garbage i'm gonna you know shoot from the hip mostly tell you as much as i feel comfortable telling i feel like i've been as honest as i could be i've told you guys a lot of fun stuff it's fun for me because then i don't have to like maybe rehash it on a wednesday or people get to see a different side of you that maybe they didn't even know was there or didn't think was there and it's been it's been fun for me whatever they have i've appreciated every single week we've done these and like i said the best part is there was no agenda there was no plan i mean even us like we didn't know we were going to go like 10 minutes or 15 minutes or an hour like we just started [ __ ] talking right and then this this came out and it's been a lot of fun hey listen tonight you and the red you're in the blue i hate you both and [ __ ] you too before i leave here i'm knocking all ya cheers oh let's go let's go [ __ ] you [ __ ] you [ __ ] you [ __ ] you you too [ __ ] you [ __ ] you [ __ ] you [ __ ] you bang and i'm out get me out [Music] [Music] [Music] [Music] giving the old white guys something to complain about it's the pat mcafee show welcome back to the show getting some dms from people rob ninkovich will be joining us in about 10 minutes or so cannot wait to chat with him about the rumors he was stirring up yeah got michael lombardi saying the broncos almost traded for a quarterback last week shout out to michael lombardi by the way that was an incredible phone call every time he talks to us i learned something this time i learned that he was just stumbling around a parking lot usc whenever he traded trent richardson out of cleveland through the indianapolis colts for a first-round draft pick he won that trade haven't won super bowl yet but by the way neither team has since that happened but he was just stumbling around in the usc parking lot while that was happening coming out of scotland quarterback i'm like seriously i'm looking to quarterback here to get another first round pick all of a sudden it's picked up by somebody hey i'll give you 20 bucks if i tell you what i just did hey ladies if you don't tell it you don't tell him yeah not hey listen i don't need you to be a sounding board for it i don't need you to go tell people this is not a commercial i need you not to tell anybody for the next 10 to 20 minutes because this is probably going to be pretty big news it wasn't india i don't remember if it was league wide or not it was a big deal here in indy because jim irsay was cutting promos for the trade on his twitter account earth-shattering trade coming and by the way whenever we we did need a potential back here we go we had a mod bradshaw but he was hurt he had a neck injury we had a guy named boom herron too every time he touched the ball they would scream boom out of iowa state he was awesome he was absolutely awesome he he ran the ball very hard very well for us played special teams like he was i loved boom but whatever they made trade boom kind of uh was the third guy out there that whole thing trent richardson became our starter he started just getting the ball every single time and our team started not doing as well because trent for whatever reason couldn't you know mesh in whatever with our team and there's a lot of overhead shots of him zigging when there was a potential zag open i have had to do that so i guess i could judge a little bit i've had a rush for 18 yards and i've had a rush for zero yards it's not always as easy on the field as the skycam makes it look but trent richardson couldn't do what a lot of other running backs seem to be able to do which was as soon as you come into a franchise take over which is what i think we're hoping for him to do we had andrew luck there was numerous times where we were putting the ball in trent richardson's hands because he's a first-round draft as opposed to andrew luck's hands which by the way number one overall pick as well it was a very interesting dynamic that came into it but jim irsay was cutting promos that it was going to happen it was like okay because we had a good team that year like all right we're getting better on the team we're going to take off here we go and then it obviously doesn't work out and while that's all popping off [ __ ] lombardi's just stumbling around out there wild time to be alive our ones wrapping up i said we're going to answer phone calls but we didn't have enough time uh because that we plowed through the first commercial break by 27 minutes or something like that uh so we're gonna have to get to a break here hard outs coming in about a minute uh we might stay live on you no we won't because i got to run to the bathroom that's on me hour two that we'll have rob nikovich we'll have some phone calls 188 mad dog 6. there's some tweets around the internet we'll look at a little bit zito's got a new hoodie for sales you know what is the poll for today by the way today's poll is what team will carson wentz play for in 2021 with over 73 000 votes last place eagles 13 other 16 bears 26 percent cold sorry 46 damn that sucks it seems like that is the case everybody's saying you go hunting with them i'm not going come on why not i don't have time dude i mean i do oh oh here we go i do have a red rider here you know what i mean for the inevitability of carson wentz coming to town and us becoming a uh skeet shooting show yeah just to win overall carson but a lot of people are saying he's coming but the bears are allegedly interested hey zach hurts and carson wentz a package deal who's going to be on the move who's not thinking he's gronko and miami former teammate of his rob ninkovic now espn analysts will join us on the other side ladies and gentlemen joining us now is a man who is an absolute stunt a man who's a super bowl champion a man who has a nickname that when you hear it you think oh that dude's a badass ladies and gentlemen the sherminator full back for the kansas city chiefs anthony what you chose to do here super bowl week you're giving away your truck which looks to be incredibly souped up to raise money and awareness for human trafficking and yeah i mean it really wasn't necessarily my idea at first i had a couple of buddies of mine that decided to figure out a way onto my twitter account and put this up as a prank and then kind of gave me two options it was like hey either you can look one way you can look the other way so i just decided that you know it is only a truck so it really started with oreo cookies who did this to you how did this work out and how are oreo cookies involved in this entire thing about maybe a month ago i took cookies down to fort scott kansas and dumped about 12 000 oreo cookies and adam laroche's uh raptor in through the sunroof this is adam laroche baseball player the baseball player yep you're saying that laroche in response to the 12 000 oreos you dumped into his truck via something opened each package and then dumped them into the summer and here we are super bowl week he set up an entire website that is functional right now it's i think it's up to 50 some thousand dollars wow he's currently being raised for this uh i'm glad you told me that because i he he won't tell me and i came back from practice on saturday morning with a culprit running over and going hey adam wants me to show you this and it's this whole long video of him telling me what he did and he goes well by the time you see this video there's probably 30 million people that have seen this tweet and you don't have many options i was more caught off guard on how he was able to figure it away into my twitter it's not just adam mind you either who else matt light is involved former patriots offensive lineman yeah the guy that i used to grow up watching on television every week from being from north attleboro yeah that guy that i had never met before in my life but he decided to get on board with adam and he's been on all these radio shows and talking about how great i am and it's been a prank from day one but i'm all on board now and i hope it raises a ton of money and i'm giving my truck away february 19th how did they get in there you think did adam have your password do you think he knows a lot of people and he's got some high up packers i believe wow you think that adam's high up friends legitimately hacked into your phone and did this thing that's what i believe how it could very well fall into cold wait well speaking of funny you say that joining us right now ladies and gentlemen dustin [Applause] [Music] he said he will not prank adam laroche ever again because he has too many friends too high up that hacked into his phone and did this entire thing alongside the help of matt light do you have any more information that you can kind of reveal about this well executed prank i think who did it who did the hack was a jnc firewall is this company that adam told me about so the long snapper uh jay which is the jnc james and colquitt uh took over the prank got into anthony sherman's phone on a series of monday nights when we were hanging out got the code kept running it every time they'd be out of practice we were making sure that we had the correct numbers he never changed it it was very consistent so we got in it we got into his twitter account hit send at that point i had already seen that you you tweeted something out about it so i'm like oh this is a lost cause i'm just myself this is me by the way big names for sending this out like what a hero james winchester hanging out at sherm's house acted like his phone died so he needed sherm's phone through the phone it was not on so he said sure i need to call her back give me the code he spit it out and james winchester is daniel in the real hero of this whole thing the sherminator is doing a great thing to raise a lot of money for human trafficking awareness and to end that whole thing what a hero you are yeah yeah you wanted that truck forever huh i wanted it forever [Music] [Music] [Music] she [Music] [Music] the pat mcafee show there will be no rules for our guests for us for the things we can talk about speaking his mind i've never had a problem expressing my opinions or my thoughts or anything like that while being relatable i haven't had that manufactured fake ass celebrity that a lot of people have whenever they go on those big networks i've had a chance to really build my crew build my following build my audience and ridiculous what am i supposed to do so i'm supposed to look at something that i can definitely afford and say yeah is that what i'm supposed to do the pat mcafee show starts in three three two one welcome back to said show it is tuesday february 16 2021 years after zero hour two of this sports show will follow this beat drop there it is bars by the way show follow people forget joining us now ladies and gentlemen two times uh super bowl champ a member of the patriots all decade team now you can see him on espn spot not great opinions on a regular basis ladies and gentlemen rob nick hi dora yeah what's up i'm doing great how are you doing what are you doing working out over there i did that earlier you know what i'm doing right now sometimes you know i like to polish my lombardy [Laughter] over the years if you didn't know if you didn't know yeah they tarnished okay all right well lorraine groves will be very thankful karen lombardi will be there very thankful for how you treat lombardi's and not that ex-teammate of yours tom brady who disrespects the silversmiths thank you for shining that thing up she's very appreciative you tell her that it is actually hollow and it floats so you don't have to worry about it sinking okay it's like a it's like a coors light can if you threw it in the water it would float you know what i'm saying yes but by the way she's not going to be happy with you comparing the work of her dad who's a silversmith to the silver bullets that is not going to be something you might have found yourself on the wrong side of karen silversmith karen lombardi powell you might be you might have just threw yourself right into a fire that i don't think you want to be a part of okay okay can we all agree here that when you win the super bowl the trophy is a symbolic symbol of the accomplishment of the team and when you win that you are so happy that you want to share that joy with every single person you want everyone to touch it similar to the cup think about the cups oh i think karen stanley would never say such a thing that thing fell off a bus and got ran over so you didn't see people going crazy it's part of the celebration it wasn't dropped it didn't hit the water it didn't fall it was not damaged i would think she would be more upset with someone bunting a baseball with it than just tossing it to a teammate correct let's talk about that real quick because you guys up there in new england i mean you know that it you know you know the ins and outs of the medal that is on the lombardi at this point because of how many you have gronk is so comfortable with edelman's throwing him fastballs and he's like yeah we'll get another one [ __ ] it bang we'll do this thing tom's just hucking it off the back of a two million dollar yacht i mean it is you patriots three million dollar yacht sorry you okay you guys are so comfortable with these lombardi's i appreciate that you know because everybody else is hunting that thing that's what they're looking to get into but her you know i don't know if her her dad did an incredible job by the way it is a beautiful design what her dad is like an absolute but i don't know if her dad has passed away or not it seemed like in the video she he has potentially passed away i'm not 100 sure or not but somebody should ask him wouldn't you wouldn't you want your art your piece of work celebrated and enjoyed isn't that the biggest piece of what everything is especially when you're talking about a trophy that's a celebration is you would want somebody to enjoy that trophy to enjoy that that's the entire essence of a celebration trophy so that just felt like there was a little bit of a lost narrative in her mind as you know the the entitlement was kind of spewing out the other side you know i mean there was there was real no reasoning coming in it was just a lot of a lot of [ __ ] coming out and when that starts happening you know that's great for the [ __ ] internet i mean that is just great news for you there were some people that defended her you know those people shouldn't be on the internet either there was no defending what what happened especially when i talked about tom brady but let's move along um but i would say this let me just finish this statement by saying that the one photo from behind the toss and i think it's just midair i think that's one of the best picks i've seen in a long time it it's just like pure joy on everyone's face and it was caught so come on take it take it take it easy i get it the trophy is awesome but anyway we're having fun everyone's having fun it wasn't broken we're having fun here let's move on this is fun that's what the trophy is for to have fun by the way and that photo greatest photo potentially of the lombardi ever that thing's floating through the skies everybody's happy good call there you know what i mean it was it's this way it's upside down okay all right will you please be just take it easy on that thing you guys just tossing around over there let's talk about real that's a real one by the way i lucked out because the guy was so into it and he wanted one he's like if you can get me in with tiffany's and get me the real one i'll buy yours i said okay cool that's why i only have one i don't have two because i wasn't gonna pay the 30gs or whatever it is oh so the family's probably been paid pretty mightily for this i mean i understand it's not just about a paycheck it's about love of the trophy and everything but yeah all right let's move on once you have one it's pretty awesome you know after that it's cool all right okay all right god you guys are going to be able to do that forever i don't want to offend you come on you guys are going to be able to do that forever by the way all those patriots like well i have four rings yeah it's because i only have two i like two but anyway i have a bone to pick with you you have some pretty cool cars yeah you know i see your your instagram i see your story you guys got a foot of snow your cars are sitting outside with about a foot of snow on them and you got i think you got a 4gt out there you know the 500 the shelby it's sitting out there getting all cold and wet that's right you know i i think i see a bentley you know bentley for a big leg guy i know you can afford the bentley it's an amazing feat but let them sit outside like that what are we doing they're tough all right my cars aren't soft all right they might come from a privileged background but i'm going to toughen them up there's a lot of important stuff in the garage okay so sometimes the cars need to stay outside now that bentley i got it by the way i got it i i did a little pimp my ride on that thing that thing has 740 horsepower yeah i got no engine put in that thing graham rahul at ray hall uh sports performance i believe is what it's called he's a race car driver he has like a performance and tuning thing i i got that thing upgraded because i thought it was a little bit boring to drive you know came from a little bit of a boring place i want to go a little bit 700 some horsepower the shelby 600 and some horsepower and now they also have grit you know what i mean so once you got the ponies under the hood and you have a little bit of grit you're always going to be great also every spring i have to pay people to come re-fix the entire vehicle because they get ruined through the winter the batteries obviously die everything else crashes so it is a mistake but it is going to continue probably for at least the next 10 15 years if i had to guess okay okay but at least you got the horsepower that's what it's all about you a car guy you like cars yeah i got a little garage myself i don't keep them outside but i got a few i got a few me too that was kind of my thing i always like the older stuff though i got a 69 skylark don't don't confuse it with a tempest from my cousin vinnie because it's completely restored and redone it's like a resto mod uh 65 stingrays beautiful 32 000 residual miles the the one that i really like though is i got a hellcat red eye wide body okay 800 horse 800 horse no you don't you ain't got more than my bet you're 800. no that's in the engine what's on the wheels what's to the wheels they yeah you don't even know okay so it's not gonna be about 625 to the wheel you lose about you know 20 percent through the drivetrain and it's automatic so that takes a little percentage away i want to let you know 700 plus in the bentley at the wheels too so that's what i was referring to the wheels yeah you're like almost almost 900. yeah you got to remember though that car 2000 pounds almost i mean that thing is crafted like it's an actual yacht i think that car's probably 5500 actually it's probably pretty heavy well let's talk about sports right let's get into sports let's get into sports you said something on get up and i didn't see the actual quote the boys just reacted to what you said and it was a headline later on other shows rob ninkovich former teammate of rob gronkowski probably friends with rob gronkowski says that he's expecting rob gronkowski and deshawn watson to be playing in miami for the miami dolphins is that what you said or were you close to saying that that's what i said but think about this hear me out okay gronk is in his 10th year he's never been a free agent he has never explored free agency he signed a six-year deal back when i don't know like 2012 something crazy a long time ago right so think about this he's never been a free agent why not go out there and test what is his what is his market value he's a big time target he can still make a lot of plays just scored two touchdowns in the super bowl two tops i'm telling you i think that he's gonna go explore he's got a beautiful penthouse in the top of some building in miami so i think that that would be a good fit for him he's got a great relationship with b flow i mean that could be a landing spot if if the bucks don't value him the way that he should be valued and they say well he did state that he wants to play with tom and only tom let's offer him nothing let's offer him pennies if that's the case he might have a chance to go somewhere and then on the watson thing miami's got a third overall i think a 16 and then like a 36 second rounder so they could they could give you two they could give you two first rounders and a top second round pick that's a pretty nice combination there maybe the next another first round the next year so they have the actual draft equity to where they can go get watson how close are you how close are you with b flow pretty close to b flow he's a good man they're gonna be they're definitely in the market for a quarterback it was rumored that they were but in your eyes they're definitely in the market for a quarterback and is russell wilson who josina anderson uh tweeted that he is not he's not being traded hashtag current status but whenever you see deshaun watson when you see russell wilson and then weeks ago aaron rodgers but he's come out to say that three two first rounders a third basically first-rounder early early first that is very enticing i would assume to a lot of teams that are hey we need to build this team from within because it seems like nobody from outside is going to come in a la the texans maybe seattle if russell gets out of there that could be something that could be a bit of a you know kind of a lure other people into that thing don't you think yeah definitely but you think about miami too i like to i think he's got a lot of potential but for miami if they want to win this year like right now if you go out and you get a watson what does that make your team that makes you an instant afc contender not only for the division i'm talking about getting to the super bowl so you put him with a defense that's young up and coming and they got some key pieces offensively i think that miami is going to be a heck of a football team coming up here so i like tua he definitely has potential but if they want to go if they put russell wilson or if they put wilson on that team i mean you're kidding me you put watson on that team either one of those guys can puts them up at the top of the afc so we'll see what happens moving forward i know they're smart and they're going to figure it out and the texans if they were smart they would they don't want to come you don't want to go into this like hey i'm a bigger man you're a bigger man we're going to like drag this thing out if it's not gonna work why drag it out did you pray with jack easterby i prayed with jack yes i prayed with jack are those the best prayers of all time it seems like he prayed his way up to running an organization over there in houston hey that you know jack all right from your time in new england i've heard other people in the new england organization say hey jack easterby was good to us we like jackie's to be we don't know what's going on down houston because it seems like it's a complete nightmare down there in houston could you have expected that and what is your relationship with jack and how do you how do you see this ending up for jett so i i really really respect jack i think that he's a great man he's got a good heart um you know i think that he was put into a position that really was kind of just he went into a new team was in the similar position that he was in new england the head coach that brought him in obviously is not there he gets fired so then the ownership the owner obviously likes jack jack's a great guy then they move him up and and i just think that there might be a false sense of understanding of what jack has done there i don't i don't know what's happened in with houston i really don't know like the the latter and and how that whole thing came to be um but all i can speak about is my time with jack in new england and when he was in new england i mean look when i was in my last year and i was thinking about moving on to retirement you know he was a guy that i could that i would talk to um just kind of if i had any questions or wanted to tell him like yo how i was feeling i felt very comfortable with jack so huh the people that don't know jack i think that they're they're they're putting they're they're putting something out there that they don't know the man so all they know is the circumstances of what they see in houston and they see the head coach being fired and they see jack go into a role that they feel isn't he's not re he's not i guess qualified to be in um so i don't know what's gonna happen moving forward i know that casario because i was worth casario a long time i know that he's a smart man he's a good good gm um it's going to be tough for them to regain the control if they lose their quarterback and i know there's some great uh marriage counselors out there some really good marriage counselors i can't say that i've had counselling but we've probably had recommendations for counseling from my wife but anyway i'm not going there but if you get somebody in there let's try and mend this thing let's fix it let's try and get back together here and how do we fix it because at this point right now it doesn't look like it's fixable but i know billy yo took a lot of heat for trading away hopkins he got he took a lot of heat for trading away their best player now i don't know if that organization trades away trades away a franchise player that's supposed to be there for the next 10 years i mean that's that's tough that's that's why castero doesn't want to do it okay couple quick things is it definitely casario or cesario casario caserio okay casario yeah this area that's good news all right pies on good luck down there you walked into a fire it does seem like with jack easterbee did he do the one fish two fish redfish bluefish bit with you i don't remember that i don't remember that how about the [ __ ] walk i don't know i'm the only the only uh dancing was robert kraft that he was doing all the dancing uh so you're saying jack eastwood good guy we've seen listen we don't know jack eastwood okay i i feel like i'm a pretty big jack eastwood guy i know jack easter be i he's a great man to me he was a good man to me and i have respect for him people that are saying they don't respect him or they don't like him don't even know him it's like me saying i don't like somebody i've never met before it just doesn't make sense it's like i mean who's somebody i i uh i don't know who's somebody that i just feel like peyton manning no like uh like uh big deal oh oh a freaking baker mayfield i'd love to give him a sack i'd love to just yeah i'd love to dig into him but i don't know him i don't know him he might be awesome we might be you know snapping cold ones back together oh yeah yeah couple calls you never know you never know but i'm saying like it it goes off of what public persona is and it pushes the narrative to which side you want to be on jack needs to get out there and stop this one it seems like this way he needs to potentially get out in front of this release some more footage of him giving different services because as those bangers continue to come into light on the internet i think he's winning over more and more people we're big jack eastwood guys over here let's talk about narratives though because you know the team that you're shining lombardi's alongside and everything obviously anytime you have that long of success and that top of the mountain in all of professional sports by the way whenever people leave there's going to be stories told there's going to be conversations had opinions are going to be given whether they're in context or out of context the entire super bowl week the narrative was there's a team tom brady then there's a team bill belichick that's kind of how it was being painted because it was really nothing to talk about super bowl week to be honest until jack easter be came in and they were like my god yes amen jack thanks for coming in there but the tom brady or patriot way you're on the defensive side of the ball akeeb talib a bunch of people that play defense darius butler everybody was like hey this is what bill belichick meant to us not saying anything against tom but that tom brady bill belichick thing is going to be forever in your eyes how did it last as long as it did because those are two superior individuals to be able to work the other way there for that long and coming out of it your thoughts on like if it wasn't for this we wouldn't have this and if it wasn't for this guy we wouldn't have this if that makes sense yeah well i mean that has been the question that i have to answer repeatedly and honestly being there for the the time that i was there we wouldn't have won as many football games without bill in the way that he prepares and the way that that he goes about his business with building a roster getting people to see like this is another thing too he is the best coach i've ever been around at making a team forget about their success and move on to the next year so we would have a ring ceremony and he'd have a team meeting and say all right guys like let's not make this a big deal we're getting our rings today um like let's let's not make this bigger than it really is you know and you're sitting there you're like i'm getting crazy you know like i'm gonna have a great time but that's the that's the way he was and that's the way he is he's always about moving forward into another year and and what do i need to do to get better what do you need to do to get better and where is this team moving and tom on the flip side of that was able to be the perfect example of how you go about your business every single day you get up early you're in the building early you do your work and when you have tom the consistency that he had year in and year out in the durability because look i mean durability i'll take durability over ability any day if you're super athletic and you can do everything and you can have a 42 inch vertical but you play five games or ten games i can't count on you to be there i want a guy that's going to be there and tom was the consistent guy that was there so when you're a young guy coming in well that's tom brady look okay every single day he's in early every single day he's working his tail off he was the example and i think brabel said it best they asked him about the patriot way and he was like isn't that the address like isn't that one patriot way or something like he's like i don't even when did that come up because bill's never like bill's never said this is the patriot way it was that was like a meeting yeah yeah listen i understand that you guys from within there like i don't even know what that means but everybody outside is like oh the patriot way is you know situational football better than everybody else you're prepared for everything uh you're okay what's up that that is tom and bill and those two guys together were able to create 20 years of amazing success and they're able to i mean 11 years of division championship i mean just think about 11 years of hats and t-shirts you get your hat and t-shirt you throw it in the back of your truck you give it to your old man you say here pop here's another hat it doesn't fit me right you know like it's it's the mentality that was [ __ ] good times you guys what a life you guys had in this you know what i'd say that you know the difference and then now the difference is you have you don't have that guy and look when you go to negotiate your contract and you're like hey uh you know i'm up next year this is what guys are making in my position they look at you be like yeah well you know tom he's the best of all time and you know where's he at in rank oh like 15th so if you want to be here and you want to win i'd suggest that you do what you got to do to yeah number one provide which yeah i was able to do when i was here new england but winning i think winning is the number one thing because i could have went off at some point in my career and i could have tested free agency and went to cincinnati or something and played a couple years and got cut because the new coaching staff came in but i wanted to be somewhere and and have some legitimate legitimate like statistics behind my name not just okay because there's a lot of guys that make money all right a lot of people make did you ever say did you ever say back like tom brady married a lady that's making 150 million a year too did like did that ever come back in negotiation and them saying that how much you don't make that much you don't make that much oh hey tabloid ninky you want to dive in do you want to dive in there the um but they did acknowledge that tom brady's the best of all time like in those conversations that's interesting because it sounds like whenever you hear the narratives and the stories tom almost now i've never talked to tom ever in my life so this would be very interesting this is listening to the howard stern and then the articles that got leaked from people and everything like that it's almost like tom and his family felt as if they didn't appreciate how good he was or what he was you never got that feeling up there whenever you you you said just said in negotiations they would say hey he's the best of all time he's getting paid 15. they acknowledged that at least that he was the best of all time in your eyes and is that something that was real could you feel that in the building at all look look this they're not going to give you a hug and uh every time you throw a touchdown pass and you know tell you how much you're you know tell you how great you are but i would say this when you're in new england it doesn't matter if you're tom myself another player on the team if you're doing what you're supposed to do and you're playing at a high level that's what you're supposed to do so at times you might feel like okay like this this is a grind of course it is i mean there that would be the first meeting of the year it'd be this is going to be a grind this isn't gonna be the easiest but we're gonna win so you say okay let's go i'm ready to go so there there could be a point there when you're younger see when i was young and i was a special teamer running down on kickoff yeah my first opportunity to get a little money i was like wow like they want to give me 2 million bucks are you kidding me yeah that's awesome where do i sign where do i sign you know so that's what when you're a young free agent and then you start playing a long time and you look back and you're like man i i really outperformed that one you know it's it's all about being overpaid in the front and underpaid in the end if you can always do that you'll have a job in the nfl if it's the other way around you're looking for a job yeah and it depends on who you are you can be who you can afford to be or whatever and let's go back to your first point here i assume conor has a question for you as well die hard patriot fan loves the ninkovic he's been he's been actually he shaved the mustache and look is best for you today actually that's right he's very pumped up you put the dye in there you put the fiber a little bit of you know no all natural natural now he's built for a mustache but before conor's question let's go back to your first point there where you said gronk is going to be a free agent for the first time that is wild to think about because to your point there where he said i only want to play for tom i only want to play for tom grunk is potentially one of the biggest free agents about to pop off oh yeah everybody's talking about a lot of other gronkowski is potentially one of the biggest free agent names out there i i didn't even think about it because i automatically assumed that he was just gonna be with tampa and be with tom but now you're like hey he's never got to experience this maybe he loves football again like he did way back in the day his body feels good he's experienced football now in a different way he got a chance to see what life is like post football he knows that's going to be a success maybe he'll want to test the waters there's going to be people that want to grow like that miami theory tua with gronk is probably a much different two i'd assume right two his biggest issue was he never thought anybody was open so he'd hang on the ball and then he'd end up it'd be it'd be a problem he wouldn't be able to let loose gronkowski is taller bigger and he has toilet seats his hands out there i would assume that that helps out every single quarterback that'd be he's probably going to be a very hot commodity on the free agency market i'd assume 100 and this is what i would tell grunk if i was a gm or a head coach and i'm trying to get gronk to sign on with my team i would say listen here rob we're going to take care of you wednesdays thursdays you can stay inside you can lift you can enjoy yourself join the hot tub do whatever you want fridays you come out we're going to work red zone because from the 20 yard in from the 20 yard in that's that's go to rob gronkowski time we're going to use you as a red zone threat guy because nobody can cover him in that space when he runs those sevens and the seam routes right there in that intermediate 15 to 20 yard range there's nobody that can cover them the linebackers nowadays i mean they're six one two twenty like they're not going to be able to cover them you got to put somebody that's six at least six four on grunt so that's what i think is going to be a best fit for gronk what's a team that can number one pay him because he's going to deserve this the last bite of the apples this is the last time he has to actually say okay i'm going to sign a three-year deal here maybe it's 10 12 a year that's the last maybe more because another team's gonna value him so much more so it's the last bite of the apple so if i was grunk i'd say look i got four rings i just did it again let me go out there and let me ball out indianapolis would love to have one he would love he would love a lot of indiana green bay i think would be a great time for him i mean just something to think about out there gronk what do you got connor yeah rob you just said that bill would tell you guys like it's going to be a grind but you're going to win now that he can't really guarantee the second half of that statement does he have to change his way he kind of recruits players into contracts well i think that that was one thing that i said last year was when you lose tom it's gonna be hard to get like a veteran say a veteran receiver um a guy that wants to go out one or two more years and like just now you see adrian peterson says hey i'd like to go play with tom there's a lot of older veterans that want to go play for tom because they understand look he's only got one or two left they just won a super bowl and when you have tom on the team your chances of winning go up substantially so i think that i don't i personally don't think that bill is going to change his rhetoric on what he's going to say he might say look this is going gonna this is gonna be a grind and we're gonna we're gonna win football games through hard work and it's not gonna be easy here i don't think he'll change that mentality because that's just the way he is i mean he's he's an old school coach he's been coaching a long time and um i don't see him changing his tune he's not going to turn into pete carroll overnight that time rob uh you said you were talking about testing free agency and where you could have gone if you were in let's say like jj watt shoes right now uh what do you think your mindset would be with like the climate and where you like would tampa i mean it seems like that would be a pretty awesome place to go if he's trying to get a ring yeah the only thing that i'd say about that is the last time the team went back to back is 0304 and that was the patriots so it's really hard to go back to back it's really hard it's really really hard just just based on the fact that you went that deep and you get into the super bowl and you win the super bowl and then there's kind of that little hangover that's what i'm talking about bill and how he's so good at that getting over that and moving on i think tap is going to be great next year i think they're going to be in it but it's going to be really tough for him to get back to it because now everyone now the target's on their back now everyone's going to be like oh that's we got to beat the champs we're going to beat the champs so if i was j.j watt i'd probably look at the available teams um i'd probably want to stay somewhere that that i knew the coach was going to value what i can do on third down and i think tennessee's a great spot for him with ray ball as the head coach i heard you saying tennessee in your voice there while you were ago and i i literally heard it i'm thinking i mean tennessee obviously what is the one thing you think about tennessee they got a great running game they got a good offensive line um they they they got a great quarterback that they're gonna be it's gonna be there for a while they got a great receiving core they need a pass rush they need a defensive leader and a pass rush so if you bring in jj watt to tennessee that's going to help your pass rush it's going to help your team leadership and you've got brabel who's coached him so he understands what he can do and what he can do well and in the locker room and everything he's literally seen not just not just the j.j watt that we've seen on jimmy fallon and things like that he's seen him behind the scenes uh nick you're amazing every time we get a chance to chat with you we appreciate you man take care of that lombardi will you because that family is thinking about burning your house down right now you legitimately do that by the way you legitimately do that don't you what's that sorry would you say fat you legitimately do that don't you that's why you have that entire thing you legitimately do shiny lombardi up don't you yeah every once in a while yeah but but today today on this lovely day i did it to be on your great show so that's why well we're lucky every time you come on and anytime you want to shine your lombardi on our show you let me know ladies and gentlemen rob thank you very much thank you he's a good guy oh yeah shining the lombardi sorry sorry about that so it is caserio yeah italian gm formerly with new england lombardi says cesario huh that's what he actually said whenever he said it larry italian of him what's that who do we have on uh nfl network scott ravens ravens daniel jeremiah daniel jeremiah cesario right yeah so i know we're never going to get that guy's name right but it doesn't matter because he's in jackie easterbee's world that's the only guy we will talk about we have to get to a break we'll answer some phone calls on the other side i can't wait to listen and talk we have a bong bomber on the line joe logan cole ryan and john everywhere from philly to ontario let's go i can't wait to chat with everybody we'll see you on the other side big thanks rob nikovich for joining us and his lombardi this is the pat mcafee show tuesday february 16 2021. [Music] uh let me tell you a little story about these statistics troy palamalu okay [ __ ] troy palamalu so we had a fake for the pittsburgh steelers that was a 100 percenter we didn't even have a cancel the goddamn play because it was a hundred percenter if we ever end up in this situation inside the seven yard line on the left hash it is a 100 percenter that the c gap will be wide open and we will just part the c to the left it'll be a touchdown 100 percenter we're playing in pittsburgh the city i grew up in i grew up in pittsburgh i won the punt passing kick national championship aj national championship aj congrats aj do you ever win the national championship pump passing kick i think i got third or fourth out of four at the nationals i'm proud of you man anyways so we're there in that stadium okay a lot of mcafee's in there a lot of mcafees in pittsburgh i'm gonna score my first [ __ ] touchdown night game sunday night football i believe it was right here touchdown we get into that situation and i'm like holy [ __ ] this is really gonna happen we're like on the six on the left hash it's fourth and goal now field goal team is jogging on i'm like whoa [ __ ] it's about to i'm this is i gotta [ __ ] i'm ready i am ready for this to happen so i get out there i get down vinnie's like happy for me vinnie's like very excited he's like let's [ __ ] go like vinnie's excited for me at this moment i'm like here we go so i make the call i forget what it was so i start saying it right and everybody's looking at me like okay bright eyes here we go let's get after it offensive linemen are dead ass tired they do not want to be in the middle of a field goal anyway so they're just like all right i don't give a [ __ ] if you die here but this should work let's get some points and all of a sudden i go through my cadence i call it i get down and troy palomal whose [ __ ] ass goes ahead for however long his career was at this point i think it was like nine years or eight years at this point not at once has he ever gone to this side of the field over here to the left and covered stood right in the c gap never he lined up exactly where he had lined in film 100 of the time and then as soon as i got to like the second cadence right before set he just bounced his little ass right over to the c gap and i like stopped everything i was doing and i literally just looked at him and i gave him like oh what the [ __ ] are you doing man like why are you there right now and then i stood up and said we are kicking it we don't have it we have to kick it we are kicking this and then i get down inventory kicks it and i jog off the field and chuck pagano comes running up next to me he's like hey good job what you see i said what did i see palamalu just [ __ ] went right into the goddamn seat yet what did i see what did i see he goes okay sounds good good call then and a good call then and then vinair is like hey way to go buddy i'm like way to go are we not going to talk about how big of a [ __ ] [ __ ] troy palamalo is for what just happened right there so that's i saw the angel of death waiting for me at this in the sea gap it's unbelievable what do you thought i was going to run him over no way i'm going to get he's probably going to strip me and score a touchdown the other [ __ ] that's palamalu bro that ain't just some your backyard football with your son this is these are professional [ __ ] athletes he'd probably jump over the linemen pick me up and run me into the other [ __ ] end zone if he wanted to that's what he wanted the heart fitting safety of his generation too i mean ed reed great cover safety i don't know that you would have feared him but i would have feared ed reed yeah if i saw ed reed in that c gap absolutely ed reed boy the best safety you ever seen boy i ain't doing [ __ ] to ed reed no no ed reed would have made the tackle i'm saying that palamala would have shaved years off your life oh my god dance tonight i did it uh whenever we was it last week or two weeks ago because insurance is just like an annual oh yeah subtraction out of my bank account for sure that i know nothing about yeah you know what i mean like i i literally know nothing about uh i almost needed my insurance last night by the way why is that speaking of gabby insurance i went to my brother's house he uh lives on the same street as me and his fiancee was doing my hair cutting my hair so i went to his house jay lives with thank you a it is actually shout out to her yeah shout out to her yeah yeah i don't think that's compliments me right it's more of a compliment to the person oh good hair to cut i mean yeah you can never it means you have good health too well thanks for spending that narrative that i should be taking credit for what she did but i do appreciate that jay's house okay he has a pit bull everybody has seen this pit bull it's the largest pit bull you will see in real life on the internet there are bigger ones but if you ever see jay's pitbull it's the biggest ship it is tie on all fours okay it is it is a full-grown like [ __ ] safari animal 230 pounds nicest dog of all time though okay roland's a good boy all right he's big he did he has a very long tail that moves chairs and [ __ ] when you go in there but he is very good boy and then there's another animal in this house named oliver okay oliver is a a jungle cat okay oliver i have four cats in my house one of them has three legs okay i have a cat that was found in a parking lot of a drive-through for a fast food uh restaurant that had been living there for a year i have savages as cats in my house okay these cats could be the killers that you see on planet earth the cats that are in my house all of them are nice you come by the house if if if they don't like you they'll hide if they they'll come out you can pet them i've completely changed my mind on cats because i grew up as a dog guy because of the four cats that i have that are savages found out the one three-legged cat got hit by a car was living underneath a deck humans couldn't get her out of there because she hated humans she survived for months all by herself scootsie she has three legs she's absolute savage should come up i pet her how you doing purr lay on me the whole thing my wife and i great four of them the narrative the cats want to kill you and they'll they'll try to prey on you while you're sleeping and everything like that i have four of them no not at all i go to jay's house you got the planet earth pit bull okay that's roaming around all right and then there's this [ __ ] cat named oliver this thing is the most vicious animal i have ever encountered it is the most it is unbelief he stalked me for 45 minutes this thing was sitting on a counter top that was right next where i was getting my and just standing there and then doing like a nose reach to smell me and then would go over to the boots i wore smell my boots and then come back from another angle on another table and stare me down eye to eye while i'm getting my hair cut then lay down and just stare at me okay then it came over it started rubbing like close to my legs jay comes over he's like whoa whoa whoa whoa whoa like get away i'm like you don't want this thing to walk near me that's how you never know you never know and then the roland comes over and sits in front of me starts like the the planet earth pit bull that he has defending me from this cat basically to keep the cat away from me 45 minutes me and this cat just kind of staring at each other he's kind of eyeballing me jay's like playing with him to get him the hell away from everything we end without a single attack okay roland's tail might have broke a chair that's on jay that's not on me sure as i'm leaving okay all i hear is no from jay's fiance it's this savage cat sprinting down his hallway turning the corner to me at the front on wooden floor by the way sliding turning the corner i turn around i'm at the front thing all i do is see it's sliding this son of a [ __ ] comes just like that uh american lion for the hiker like this and i go ah right he's this thing gets me six times in my calf look at this zoom in on this foxy lee please you see him on this oh god just pierce don the back of my cap okay jesus bang bang pow poo poo my entire right foot has a claw right down the middle of it basically and this was in a half a second interaction with this thing it somehow took us straight down my calf bang right to the kicking foot you're not going back to the league and then runs away i leave that's the operation that jay's running at his house right hey well he's risking his life every time he [ __ ] goes home that cat will eat you jay that cat will eat you alive if it had a chance he's nice to us i don't know how that's not true i was i was told last night very specifically from jay's fiancee he'll attack jay too he'll bite jay he will fight what i think if we would have got him declawed when he was a kitten no you can't get him to claudette no exactly because you're a horrible human being if you do but if we would have i think it would be more playful than it would be less death attack people always talk about you know if you go back in time what would you do obviously you killed baby hitler right right of course that is definitely move and then you ask people if they could do something and they have personal vendettas and there's somebody very terrible they like wish we could go back and this person never be created i think the only way we save this cat is that it was never created this cat was supposed to be a wild cat this cat was supposed to be out on the farms taking down coyotes i think that's what the the thing exactly it's not supposed to be a house cat your cat he was found in a box on the side of the road from one of kristen's clients and that's how we end up getting them so yeah wow i mean you should have seen him sliding around that corner and his fiancee go no like seeing it happen oh my god i didn't think i was gonna be able to get out of there my [ __ ] calf is swollen for these things i got blood coming out my leg it it is yeah this was it this was this was oliver this is last night i recorded this at jay's house this is jay's cat oliver chasing me and stalking me after getting a great haircut trying to leave the house a goddamn chat you know cats i guess like very itchy with whatever they have whenever they like last night my calf was just like oh you're itching watching yeah yeah like i think he got like some of his like some hives so this thing might have rabies the demon's juice they eject from their paws that's what i'm saying that cat gives cats a bad name that one that jay has and i i feel like i'm not the only one who's i felt like he was getting along with me remember i guess it was just eyeing me up the entire time so you can't cut nails on a kit like you're driving down you decline no you declaw it's like you're basically [ __ ] killing it if it never has to do anything how about that little scratching post you have a scratching post and then the nails that sharpens them up by the way really yeah that's that's kind of like a weapon yeah got to give them more catnip yeah that's why don't you ever [ __ ] drug that thing let's get some weed for that cat we get some catnip on that thing it just makes him more excited i think addicted to it by the way his fiancee comes home he's just sitting at the door the [ __ ] [ __ ] worries about drugs that's what he would do too by the way yeah center scratching his neck where's my shoe i don't know if he'd be able to see it does he even scratch himself by the way with there's no way he can he control this son of a [ __ ] he punctured my leg seven times like what did he feel me every time he was inside of there too was he like celebrating them yeah you think jay's cat was just sending a message through you to your cats well that's the funny thing as soon as i got back my cat smelled cat and my dog smelled jason and then i started looking at my cats i actually talked to my wife which one are we sending up bear and i believe it's nova we're sending up there the uh the the dumpster in a fast food restaurant cat that we have yeah that my my wife is an actual animal whisperer like that's a real thing nah sebastian's too big of a soft ass no yeah yeah he's too he's he's beautiful okay he's by the way he's he's been bought so he's the last one he doesn't even know about the life that could be i think he's a boxer no yeah nova nova is the gangster and she uh she was living in a dumpster to steak and shake i guess and my wife going to get a very healthy meal i'd assume at 1 30 2 a.m from steak and shake cat came meowing in the summer i think jumped up either on to window in into car and just sat on seat and then uh the workers told sam like is that the cat from the dumpster or whatever and it was like hey just jumped in the car with her yeah that cat's been here for like six months in the dumpster or whatever and sam was like all right cool are you coming up all right we're going home and that cat is awesome that cat hunts squirrels in the windows and that cat probably going to be the death of oliver if i had to guess that guy was not happy that i got punctured by oliver i know it i know it's oliver's fault let's go to the bong bomber in ontario what's going on bong bomber hey pat boys how's it going love you all love everything you do uh we love you more pal how what do you want to talk about uh first off just like start off by saying [ __ ] cody and any other slack jaw joke that doesn't like you or anything they don't speak for raider nation raider nation love japan knock on wood if you're with me hey all right so hold on bong bomber i appreciate you doing all that while having an canadian accent because it just sounds so much better and i did get into letter kenny uh this weekend i'll continue to watch that first couple of scenes are just wild to listen to i would like to be in the really literally the story of my life that is the most accurate interpretation of southern ontario there is on tv are you the hockey player the the the hick or the there's like three different genres basically hockey player heck or skit i'm definitely the hick okay all right later kenny great show anyways i appreciate you doing that and i did learn on the internet that i did learn on the internet that not all raiders fans hate me or whatever even though it felt like that a couple days and i do appreciate that so it means a lot bong bomber thanks for calling in and reiterating that fact what do you want to talk about i just wanted to say that i think the raiders should definitely keep their car we had a top 10 offense last year but our defense was an absolute [ __ ] dumpster juice and if we get a new quarterback it's going to take another three years for them to learn gruden's over complicated offense then we got another three years of [ __ ] 500 football by then everybody's screaming for gruden's head and we're on a rebuild anyway add a couple defensive pieces let's give her another [ __ ] go how you doing keep it moving hey that's what a bong bummer yeah that's what we want for the raiders yeah bong bomber with a good call dumpster juice he says have you seen letter kenny you would like it i think ty uh no i haven't it's on hulu right yeah i went over to hulu looking for live sports couldn't find any of them okay i'll tell you what that app is kind of trash baker lied to you well not only baker i mean they're out there dumping money on all these people talking about hulu they need to actually dump money and get like [ __ ] on their platform like you're spending the briefcases in the wrong spot i think for hulu now it did introduce me to letter kenny and i did watch some docs over there the britney one and everything like that but i do i couldn't find live sports anywhere and that's all that's all they're [ __ ] talking about but it is letter kenny is i mean it is the driest of dry just ooh hey don't you power hey baby bob shirt hey we're about to get into a uh i forget what he called it he called a fight something donny brook no he called it something else in the first scene it was like the first maybe the fourth sentence uttered was a word that i'd never heard of describing a fight i was dust up yeah and that that's something that see there was something even different than both of those it was canada is a gym yeah oh yeah just a gem of a town you know what i mean yes that sport curling they created oh man the best i mean we're the best in the world at it we are the gold medalists but hockey that sport they crit i mean we're the best in the world at it but it is just one of those things where canada's the best isn't it gumpy don't you think beautiful place good people the best let's go to john in philadelphia what's going on john not too shabby pal what do you want to talk about uh carson wentz so i'm obviously an eagles fan um i think you probably do better in indy even though you said don't speak for your side but if he goes to chicago wouldn't he have a controversy again between him and nick foles and the eagles are gonna need a backup quarterback if hertz get injured or he's just not that good because we can't can't put sud belt in they're going to think we're tanking again oh yeah you're right you're right there you put sudden fault in there everybody thinks you're trying to lose and peterson was like no no he's on they said it was a tilly by the way is what they use it was maybe the third or four sentences two hockey bros show up on a jeep talking to a hick in a skid which i'm not 100 sure which either of those are i didn't get far enough to figure it out but the the hicks and the skids were running some sort of it seemed like a um like a market something was going on in front of and the two hockey players showed up in in the jeep in the the battle of verbal joust between the two it was a me i was dying laughing and i was like i don't know if i have time for this today but this is going to be this is going to be something that i want to see um the thought of carson wentz going to chicago and nick foles being there i did not think about and is hilarious naggy pace or like hey you saw it worked in philly let's [ __ ] bring that bring bring back the tag team same okay we get wentz in there to start this thing off then we'll bring in nick foles ryan fitzpatrick style have him close this thing out we'll win a goddamn super bowl just like the eagles nobody said the eagles could win a super bowl it'd been 50 years since they've done it imagine what we do here in chicago let's bring that tag team in here i don't know if wence will want to go there but maybe him and nick foles just like his relationship with frank reich is similar where maybe nick foles can help bring out the best in carson wentz in that quarterback room which is so vital to some quarterbacks i'll be intrigued to see how it all plays out allegedly the bears want carson wentz allegedly the colts want carson wins there's a bunch of [ __ ] being spun right now and michael lombardi said wait until it gets closer to the third day of the league year or something like that which is march something yeah fourth look march something third day league year they will carson wants 10 million dollars the eagles are going to want to unload him then so we just kind of got to wait while this [ __ ] kind of subsides march 17th starts the new league year at 4 p.m so march 20th at 4 pm uh you if you do quick math there that would be when they owe carson wentz another 10 million roster bonus let's assume he gets traded before then but until then nobody's gonna really deal with it zach earth's allegedly being traded alongside he's gonna want a new deal though that was the big mix-up he had the tilly he had with harry lurie allegedly this year was because they didn't give him a contract so if you bring in carson and zachertz that's a lot of money coming alongside something what's that worth in exchange i mean i guess we're just going to have to find out and kind of hopefully be able to wade through the [ __ ] that's being spun by the billboard on the worldwide leader says michael lombardi well and if once his problem in philly was that he didn't want to have a backup behind him that could that could actually play would go into chicago even benefit him well the the backup in chicago at this point can't play right nick nick kind of stinks a football yeah and it's like the bears are bringing him in they're not bringing he's not already there and then bringing in a backup yeah until [ __ ] foals gets him again though i don't think there's i mean that city would implode if he goes there and there's i i would imagine if there's a trade that they would send fools just back to family philly yeah get that statue guy back maybe that's a winner on all sides there sounds like it nick has a pretty big contract too though doesn't he yeah i think he's like 20. how many her 21 mil that's what i remember 21 mil three years i hated it that's a die-hard chicago bear fan zeto not sure of the stats and the facts but he does remember how he feels people will say they don't remember what you'll say but they'll remember how you made them feel the deal for nick foles made zito a bears fan feel a certain type of way we have 16 seconds until the end of the second hour what is full of zod three year 24 million 21 guaranteed 6.6 next year okay so we'll see how that plans out we got darius leonard the maniac and aj hawk on the other side you got about six minutes we will see you then [Music] you have got to experience so many things both as a businessman off the field and on the field is there a moment when i ask this question it pops your mind like what's the craziest [ __ ] you've ever seen in your entire life because there was a time there where it felt like you were just getting dropped into insane situations and the world was like watching you do things man versus wild you and that bear grylls guy [ __ ] electric that was maybe the most electric [ __ ] i've ever seen is there anything that you think of whenever you think like what's the most ridiculous thing you've been a part of uh probably some of the most ridiculous [ __ ] i've ever been a part of was uh you know i i had got the uh uh the restaurant which i'm in right now and uh you know when we first got it you know i would come in here and i would you know clean up and go outside in the front sweep up you know make sure everything's looking nice and [ __ ] and uh one morning i got up here and i noticed you know like man this is funky ass smell and i look you know i mean to the side of my front door and it's a big ass pile of [ __ ] and i'm talking about human [ __ ] yeah right on the side of the door talk like somebody entertain me and pop the [ __ ] right inside the door like and i'm hosing it down and you know i see uh you know we got a couple uh you know uh dolphins that that usually walk back up in front of hey man did you do this like oh no so you know one of them owned up to it so you don't do this no more look you come by here we get you you know i mean we get you a broom and uh you know you help you help us we help you you feel me and you know we put together a little uh i put a proposition together for him and ain't cleaning up [ __ ] no more the win-win it's a win for everybody on that one hey one of your former teammates yeah hey everybody you're helping the people man that's awesome that's why people love you but one of them owned up to just the line of questioning the question really really owned up matter of fact he just he just left out he's saying sweeping up he's like hey what's up oh boy i've been looking for you we bust down together up in the front of the uh restaurant get it all cleaned up and everything hey you're helping people hey you're up willie went from [ __ ] outside to working inside let's go yeah all right let's go willie let's go give it up for my boy willie man okay okay okay [Music] oh my god best sign spinner in the world at least now he says that was unbelievable good luck out there they should be paying more today for the world spending championship in vegas there's a world sign spinning championship in vegas are you like a national are you a champion you're right what do you write what do we have to do to get better how do we get the first place what's the new move what's the new move maybe lightly on fire oh my god if i was getting the end with the kick flip i don't know how you're eighth in the world you should be number one but if i was leasing a place i'm [ __ ] coming here oh [Music] [Music] [Applause] [Music] [Music] the pat mcafee show there will be no rules for our guests for us for the things we can talk about speaking his mind i've never had a problem expressing my opinions or my thoughts or anything like that while being relatable i haven't had that manufactured fake ass celebrity that a lot of people have whenever they go on those big networks i've had a chance to really build my crew build my following build my audience and ridiculous what am i supposed to do so i'm supposed to look at something that i can definitely afford and say yeah is that what i'm supposed to do the pat mcafee show starts in three three two one welcome back to the show hour three here on this gorgeous february 16th in the middle of a blizzard in indiana we'll continue with a couple great guests joining us right now is a man who joins us damn near every single day that we have the show for the third hour uh national champion football player and super bowl champion ladies and gentlemen aj hey aj how you doing pal oh i'm doing good pal how you doing not too shabby thanks a lot of things were said in our show today that has kind of had ripple effects across the internet at this point potential gronkowski out of tampa bay maybe a three-year 30 million dollar deal is somewhere on the table i completely forgot that gronk was going to be a free agent potentially coming up the narrative has always been he's going to stay with tom tom's is quarterback tom's his quarterback but rob nikovich former teammate of his i would assume potentially friend of his i'm not 100 sure how often they talk he's like hey gronk has never been a free agent he should at least listen to what the market says about him maybe a big ass deal for rob gronkowski aj who said three years 30 million well nintendo said like somewhere between 10 to 12 million a year if you get like a three-year deal you start doing quick math there 30 would be the bottom of that thing i think in a third down in red zone league which is what the nfl has become and it kind of always has been but now even more so with the way offenses can move it's just whether or not you kick field goals or score touchdowns that's kind of the whole game rob gronkowski is like the king of those two things i would assume the open market potentially gives him an offer that he'll he will really test his tom brady's my quarterback theory i think i'm not 100 sure but i think so oh i think it could i guess i just don't know if someone will give him a three year deal i think a one or two year in finding a way to get the most guaranteed is what he would like but man i just don't see him leaving tampa though like so what what is tampa able to pay him if it's a one-year deal what can they give him well we're assuming at this point that tampa bay is going to be giving out smaller deals to acquire more talent and everybody's kind of buying in a lot of the patriot way that they did for years because tom's there every kind of older guys chasing a ring coming to town maybe taking a smaller deal who knows if gronk will hit the open market if they will be able to pay him if tom will be his quarterback i'd assume there'd be other people interested offensive side of the ball has a lot of free agents so does the defensive side it's uh jj watts a free agent allegedly potentially von miller's out there i think justin houston's a free agent a man who is the guy who runs the defense here in indianapolis a team that is built for success also a man who called out triple h couple weeks ago on triple h his own platform which i have a lot of respect for all linebacker of the indianapolis colts the maniac darius leonard how you doing durs i'm blessing holly favor man how you doing yeah wait damn right you are hey keep that thing going too it's fun to watch uh we'll talk about everything going on your life but let's talk about what i was just referring to there because you did put out a tweet about this whole thing about hey big name free agents it doesn't matter who you are if you come to indianapolis we're a group that likes to work we like accountability this whole thing so obviously inside the building you guys know that there's a potential free agent market right now with teams and players that want to get to indianapolis because the way your team has been built how do you view that your culture seems to be so strong inside of there is that why you guys are so comfortable with potentially bringing in big names or what are your thoughts on the entire free agency process and by the way congrats on having a team and being a massive part of a team that is now a place where people will want to go to hey man i appreciate that man but you know just you know just thinking about you know i've been here for three years and you know coach frank been here for three years and just knowing what we built you know a lot of people don't understand the culture you know of the coats and especially on the defensive side of the ball what we ask what we're asked to do is is a lot and then you watch you watch tape there's so many guys who doesn't play as hard and you know if you even think about coming to the coast we're gonna hold you accountable for absolutely every single thing and you gotta work hard you got to put the team first you got to be able to say okay i don't care about my own accolades i'm here to help win ball games win the championship and that's ultimate goal darius was it like that from day one like when you walked in or did you try to bring that culture with you i don't know coach coach frank coach frank you know he had awesome side of the ball but you know i beat his coordinator coach flutes when he and i say he is the most demanding difference coordinator that i've ever played for and you know it pushes you to be the best like he tell you he you you would hate him as a coach just because he pushed you so hard he's going to make you work absolutely as hard as you ever thought as a nfl ballplayer so that's the culture you know there's no such thing as a house guest if you're on that field there's no such thing as watching the ball you got to get to the ball every single play and you got to make sure that you're around it you got to hustle you got to play hard talking to us now is all pro linebacker for the indianapolis colts a man who has accomplished a lot in his very very young nfl career it's only going to get better it's been fun to watch the indianapolis colts culture the one you just talked about there do you think there's a chance that older players maybe don't want to come be a part of that or do you think that's something that is maybe like hey this is probably what the greatest of all time big name free agents would like to see by the way that's why they're coming to india is to win do you think there is potentially some people that just won't fit in with indy especially at that high level do i think that some people who don't we won't feel yes of course okay nobody think about it you you're a vet we we're we don't like coach foose don't care what year it is for you you're going to work extremely hard like you know we have so many guys who came in and it was like a shell shock to him you know the first thing they say is i ain't running to the ball ain't doing this but then you know we all out there holding everybody accountable and everybody is joining that you know jumping on jumping on the board so i mean it's demanding but i don't i don't see a lot of vets coming in to say okay i can do this year in the year out to win a championship yeah i would i would automatically assume that you give that style of accountability a lot of credit for your massive success here that you have had why do you think your transition from college to the nfl was easy because you you know you had that game against clemson where you had 17 tackles or whatever and the name the maniac was born after that but you kind of went to a smaller school obviously then you make it to the nfl and have an immediate impact then you only get better and better why is that you think do you think it's because the accountability do you think it's because you've like fallen in love with the process of it all or have you always been like that um you know for one you know like you said being from a small school i'm an underdog i've always been the underdog you know when i got drafted they saw you know the worst draftkick you know now i'm you know doing everything who said it who said it report you know they they said i was one of the worst draft picks man that hurt my feelings you know you know i wanted to go out and just you know i wanted to ball out each year then you know now it's more so like how can i be at the top each year you know that's the ultimate goal when you play this game you want to be at the top so you know how can i be the best linebacker how can i do this so each year you know i try to get better you know you hear all the critics you know i i think there's a lot of people out there you know who talk trash never play it down a football in the daylights you know i mean it sucks it sucks that you know you got to put everything on the line you still don't get a respect for it so i mean that's that's my goal each year to get better and be to be at the top of the list each year so that's i think that's why i'm getting better and i love the process you know great great people well great football players enjoy the process they just don't enjoy the reward they enjoy the whole process to get to that reward hey speaking of uh of people i guess giving someone a hard time you you came to the defense of uh nick ciriani after his uh introductory press conference hey that was a bad press conference yeah what what what do you think happened and i know you you know like you know each each um saturday night offensive coordinator defensive coordinator special team coordinator they all get updated talking for the team you know you can tell people who love to talk in front of people you can tell people who don't like love talk in front of people and you know me and nick you know um all three years you know nick came up there and his crutch every time he said something he said all right so each night i counted how many times he said all right after that you know i said something to him and then it just keep getting shorter and shorter so he stopped using all right so i knew right then he's not that's he's about like me i'm not a guy who's gonna talk in front of a whole press and be fine with it you know so i knew that that's not him but i know he's a great coach and i know he's a great leader so i had to step up and say something for him hey a lot of success happening with your team uh that's why it is becoming a very hot conversation of what quarterback is going to end up being the quarterback there and i think that's a massive decision for chris ballard to make but i think the world uh bleacher report thought you were the worst draft pick chris ballard has been very good at talent evaluation and building the roster and everything like that but when you have success you know coaches get plucked players get plucked how do you have sustained success you think over there and do you think it's just from the top down you'll be able to continue to like kind of next man up type mindset for everything um you know you know you believe in the guys up front you know um the guys the guys in the front office they've been doing a great job of putting people in the building to help this team win and you know just speaking on you know the defensive side of the ball you know it's always next man up mentality like our system isn't built for one player our system is built for all 11 guys to go out as one to be great so i think it's always next man up i mean we know that the nfl team is it's never the same the locker room is never the same so when guys get hurt or anything it's always next-minute mentality and we always talk to the other guys like the practice squad guys the backup or whatever you always prepare as you're going to start this next game so whenever your opportunity comes you come in and you do you do the right thing to help this team win you're going to get in the ring or what i i assume there's not a cult huh man i got i got to order me a a full-size rain to put in my backyard so i can i can practice a little bit i got i got a rental for you actually you can buy it i got one for you that has a great price it's already put together right back here we can get that thing moved if you would like or i can send you in the right direction have you always been a fan i love that you're potentially going to get you hey you play you play as a like i think you can tell who watched wrestling growing up and who didn't when you see how people interact with people you see how they handle themselves i think it says a lot about you the way you play it is very obvious like okay this is a sports entertainer as well the dancing the talking to everything you do it seems like it'd be a very natural fit if you were to get into wrestling i'm happy you're intrigued by it i hope you do get a chance to get in there me too man that's not you know that's what that dream though you know i've been you know watching wrestling since i was a little kid and so i mean that's that's where like you know watching wrestling that's my little kid in me you know that just brings back so many members of me and my brothers just sitting there watching so i definitely i definitely want to so i definitely got to practice because i know i don't want to get in and do bad so i want to be the best at it so i gotta i got to get in the range of practice before i really just jump in there with him smart how do you think jim irsay would feel if you all of a sudden show up on his tv and you're in a tag team match with pat brother what is he i think i think i might be getting a call hey it hurts like hell it hurts like hell dearest but i would assume ain't a temporary proudest forever man hey hey and also by the way i didn't run my body into people like 50 60 70 times a day like you have in that entire process what does the offseason look like for you i know obviously the world we're in isn't as open as it would be in the past but what do you do i saw you down there in the sticks with your pro bowl video out there are you uh where are you right now how will you be spending your offseason i'm in south carolina right now man just you know being around the high school basketball team you know watching them and then watching a little bit of baseball up here hey how small is your town how small is your town out there because when i watch on the internet it looks like you are out in the middle of nowhere it looks like that's what it is we don't have a listing we don't have a stop light we don't have a grocery store we don't have a restaurant you know we just have gas station we have a gas station and you know that's about it i go eat at gas station if i want something to eat something like that i mean we probably have maybe a thousand people maybe i grabbed my graduating class probably was maybe 50 people 50 to 60 people oh that is awesome how's the basketball team we're pretty good this year or what well the boys didn't make the playoffs but the girls are undefeated right now heading into the playoffs so hopefully we go in you know when there's another championship man okay so how what kind of shock was that going from your high school game to college not only like yeah just having so much more around like the game of football what's the town's name as well lake view south carolina lake view south carolina baby but it was crazy you know coming from a small school and then you know heading to south carolina state it was a complete shock you know and then especially like having 30 guys on your football team going to 100 guys on your football team and then you know a guy playing both sides of the ball never come off the field i mean my first game i come off the field my helmet's still on and i'm standing on the sideline with the offense out there and the defense making corrections like i'm so used to being in the game the whole time like it was it was i mean it was a complete like different different vibe you just stand on the sideline that's something i don't like to do what positions you play on offense running back i was a receiver receiving a running back oh you got good hands oh yeah come on man i got recruited i got recruited as a receiver like when i went to south carolina state i was going to play a receiver and then and then um they put me on defense that uh my red shirt year and after that i never i never touched offense again until my senior year they let me catch a pass you have some of those net he has some you have some nasty pics now that i like as you were talking about that i was thinking about some incredible plays you made uh that i could also see aj hawk making same position you know what i mean i could see aj making the same play by the way with the cast yeah the guy did that but you've had some are you friends with opponents are you like it seems like the modern nfl all right there's a lot of dapping up how you doing hey let's get a picture together let's do the jersey back in the day it wasn't always like that there was always guys that got along obviously but it wasn't as friendly i think the world that we're currently in you're learning a lot more about people that you didn't in the past so it probably makes you respect him a lot more than he potentially did in the past do you do you have an old school mentality where the opponent is like enemy or are you are you cool with everybody because now you're a pro bowler and you're at the top of the world probably meeting every single opponent that you're playing against now i don't mean man everything between the whistle there's no friends everything between the lines there's no friends but i mean after the game yeah we could be friends then but you know during the game you know i'm talking trash you know i'm trying to get in your head i'm trying to get that ball off of you i'm trying to make you quit so i mean that i mean that's just my mentality but you know after after the game yeah we could take a bit with this jersey swap but during the game you know we we got to go at it hey you and aaron by the way i heard you guys had a conversation uh he did i heard you i felt so bad to be even a part of that entire thing i was like oh no i don't like i hope you got do you by the way watching you rise in the nfl has been really [ __ ] cool by the way i had no idea you came from a town of 10 people but i mean like just watching you because that first year you should have got defensive rookie of the year by everybody and then you didn't obviously and some people voted for the guy that howled down in dallas and i love the way you responded to that entire thing you started doing the how actually it was like oh i love this dude like i like this guy and you've just you've been a great staple in the indianapolis colts locker room man i think we're very lucky to have you connor what do you have yeah darius uh growing up uh did you watch like ray lewis or aj hawk perhaps to kind of model your game after or was that just something that came natural man to be honest like i said man i was a i was an offensive minded guy you know i was a desean jackson guy you know just know everything offensively you know i just thought i was going you know go play receiver and then once i went to college and you know i started playing linebacker that's when i was started looking at you know derek brooks ray lewis and just watching how they play the game how can how did they impact the game like i think they were two different total linebackers and you know ray lewis was a downhill you know hole plugger and derek brooks he was more so in the window let me let me pick this ball up let me make a play out there in space and i just try to merge them two two two together and try to become one what do you work on through the season and i asked you earlier but we got off topic because you come from a town of if this census is accurate from 2010 800 people actually wow it just kind of came up we kind of want to but what do you work on at this point is it you have to stay physically because you're you fly around i mean you're very fast uh you have to be able to maintain obviously durability and everything like that but in the off season is there like certain homework assignments you give yourself like okay i need to do this mentally film wise or what does it look like as you continue to get better here in your young nfl career i'm you know just watching all my bad plays you know how like what did i do wrong you know how can i be better you know if you think that you're so good but you know when you really look at tape and watch the whole game and you realize that okay i stayed on this block too long okay i should have dropped back they highlowed me you should have known it was coming and just stuff like that and then you know for a small guy playing the game you know at 220 and you know i got to my hands got to be good i got to have good hands so i got to make sure that my hand placement and all that stuff is good so you know just taking boxing class you know working on your hand coordination and that's what's going to make that's i think that's what's going to make me better just you know my hands my quickness and make sure that my tracking ability is good hey whenever you talk about a guy like gronkowski and he might be a free agent coming up which i did not even think about until rob ninkovic's former teammate of his said like hey he could potentially be on the move but whenever you talk about travis kelsey gronkowski george kittle these tight ends that are big and move how does it help you being an incredibly and how do you go athletic guy and how does the game go forward and covering if these guys are going to continue to happen which feels like it's growing and growing how does the defense have to adjust that what style the player you think is best to take out who's probably becoming one of the biggest weapons on any team that has a guy at it which is the tight end position homies you gotta have a linebacker that can cover you know if you if you look at the tape beginning of the season you know um coach coach looked at me and said you know i'm gonna have you playing more man-to-man coverage on tight ends and you know for me i mean i took that as a challenge you know and man-to-man is okay who's the best so you know you just gotta make sure that you got someone that can actually cover and who's not who's not afraid you know you gotta you gotta know who you're playing against you know grump he he love contact so you know you gotta make sure you don't don't be as physical with grunge as you would with you know someone else so you just gotta make sure you know your opponent in and out when will he get the target and then when he's gonna just be a decoy so he just really gotta you know watch film and see exactly how they're using these tight end and like you said now in the game these receivers you know are so good that tight ends are being opened now so you got to make sure that you have them accountable as well hey we appreciate you so much what are you going to do today down there you're down there in lakeview south carolina i'm going to probably get on the atv ride it to the high school and then you know just watch the play um roads is this dirt roads like are you hopping on dirt road through the high school to watch his best and is there a bunch of quads showing up at the gym like are you the only one riding the atv over there well today you know today i'll be the only one just because all my all my friends and everybody else at work but you know on the weekends all guys we get together everybody on their four-wheeler side-by-sides dirt bikes and we all just get in you know grab a cooler and just ride around all day hey it's awesome that's a life i aspire to live someday ladies and gentlemen the maniac darius [Applause] thank you darius man what a fight it's a movie dude he's living in a movie right now no it's not exactly varsity blues but yeah it's his own little version he's literally living in a movie it's like hey i'm gonna go to high school basketball anybody won't come yeah i'll meet you who got you grab a court all right let's get on these bikes let's get out of here he just sticks to his roots they're just rolling probably through backyards and side farms and everything to get to like you think it's there's no way he had no stop signs right now he said no stop lights i mean he has a stop sign they have a gut headset that eats at the gas station wild that's a movie that is straight out of a movie and he goes back there every single off season that is awesome good for darius slender he's gonna be good for a very long time i assume uh yeah he's super young and he's yeah he's unbelievable when you see his mindset too and you listen to him like yeah there's a there's a reason he's playing so well now yeah if there's a guy that's going to be consistently elite at that position it's him yeah you you and him very similar players yeah are we yeah yeah yeah i think so both both started on the offense side of the ball uh yeah well yeah you were a running back we saw that photo great thumpers love to bring it yeah cerebral on the field work hard in the offseason leaders calling out play i mean youtube very similar flying around out there making big catches in place okay i was more thinking of like our body types like i i am not i'm like a shorter stumpier version he is long limb like super athletic rangy dude yeah i mean you do kind of have a little bit more of a spark plug build but i mean that is a different style of play back then a different style of play all right different style of playback coach's son not a coach's son but yeah spark plug i like that one i haven't heard that in a while well i am i am a spark plug that is exactly how i am built so i've used it uh you can by the way you should you i don't know if you are actually the last time we saw you when he yoked yeah yeah yeah he's dragging out every day like 5 a.m he shreds he's got like a rock type uh chicken yeah i'm sorry you know you're not a spark plug by the way you've worked very hard not to be a spark plug i am a sm what do you got i couldn't sleep last night i was thinking about this and i'm not sure if anyone followed up on aj saying that his his tractor or 4x4 that he had a plow on went over the hill into a fence were you on it at the time that it went over the hill down into the fence that had to be a wild ride yeah because i i put a plow on the front of my zero turn and i play my driveway with it but when your driveway is all ice and you don't have chains on your tires yeah i was you know i'm back and forth back and forth spinning and i started going down my hill in the yard and then once i lost it hold on you have to have seat belt on on those things as well if it's a commercial oh so you just oh so you attach it and you sit on top of the seat belt because you like to go dangerously it wasn't like a super steep hill but yeah once it got going down and the only thing that stopped me was the post on the fence it was it a collision when you bumped in it was well oh yeah yeah it was not that no not that bad but it had to stay out there overnight i took the plow off and carried it up the hill into the garage oh my god that would have been the most aj hawk thing of all time if he was out there with his jaw and the oh man oh that would have been absolutely awesome i have one of those commercial z turns you know and you have to be separate because there's been a couple times where i want to go you you jump off and you have to have a neutral you jump off and you got to go move something and then you hop back in and you want to go and it's like it won't let it's like ah son of a [ __ ] and then there's been a couple times where i've had that thing on rabbit you know what i mean yeah and i started turning this thing and this thing and it's almost like you get launched off of there i could only imagine if i was sliding down a hill and i was strapped into that death trap what i'd be thinking they don't think about that when they force you to have a seatbelt on by the way that isn't something they think about is potentially falling off a cliff while you're plowing the ice off it was wild out here dude there was like five six inches of snow on the roads like on it was crazy out here it was like you were driving on old back dirt trails it was insane out here it's like how is it now because here in ohio it's another obviously whatever a snow day for my kids but yeah i was piled today on my uh my mower and under and i've been plowing multiple times like twice yesterday just to try to keep ahead of it because we have ice built up on the driveway but it's crazy slippery everywhere yeah diggs was out there with his uh snow blower last night and his shovel went out there a couple of times nick mickey mouse shovel snap great shovel i heard your shovel snapped in half that's because brute force that i was trying to dig up the ice with well i was saying your shovel couldn't keep it might be a great shovel but not for the covered cowboy because you're gonna go by a heavy duty one yeah the cowboy shovel the covert shovel i didn't do any of that i just i saw that there was potentially 12 inches on the way it was like well i'm not going to apply now because it's going to come right back and everybody i saw that was out there plowing did say why it just came right back yeah i talked to diggs last night when i told him not to come into work today because he lives too far away i said what are you doing it was like 9 15. he was like i just got done shoveling i was like why he said i want to clear it off i'm like it's still snowing it is not going to stop it's like the people that blow off the leaves it's like unless you're bagging those things those those things are coming right the [ __ ] back yep and it felt like the snow was going to do that for at least the next couple years but i respect what you guys did if i didn't have a brand new snow blower i wouldn't have done it i had to try a thing out i want to deal with like five six inches at a time not all 12 at once or 10 or whatever well the sun will deal with that sun hopefully unfortunately it is icy cold it's freezing out here it was it is a bad spot to be in i did have a neighbor by the way it just came through my driveway on his atv he's got a little plow on there good guy shout out to jesse by the way [Applause] i'm not a good neighbor either like there's no reason jesse's doing that jesse's a very nice guy i did not go to the gatherings i do not do any of the neighbor thing i just i'm pretty much just in my house at all times jesse every winter though that guy's a [ __ ] hero comes through and gets the uh the snow off now i will say it does feel like every time he does it it potentially snows immediately afterwards but he will hop right back on that thing and come back out which is why i was saying to you diggs why are you doing it it's going to get filled again but we might be in this for the next four or five days i guess yeah the meteorologists are right but don't you park your truck outside so you have to you have to scrape all that ice and snow off didn't you no i i warm her up i get that thing on the oven easy bake and then i started i start that thing like four times so for 45 minutes before i get granted this morning i did not drive so i did not have to do this actually we carpooled in nick's jeep it was a good time smart four of us were in there it was bad roads but i i start that car like 45 minutes before i have to and i you got to remember when you get out at night before turn that thing on all the way oh yeah so that thing's cooking for like you know 45 minutes or so and normally the [ __ ] is melted off i am not and this is i understand i'm not doing my civic duty i don't wipe off the top and when i'm driving just blowing straight into the west i feel so bad i feel so every time i'm like you know what next time i'm gonna get the top off and then i realize as i'm going out there with shorts on i ain't [ __ ] standing out here getting the top off people are gonna have to deal with that and then i get on the road and i immediately feel like a terrible person as the snow is just dumping on the person behind me so i'm kind of conflicted i guess i'm not a great neighbor at all so shout out to jesse doing that and i should probably start scraping off the top that's not that bad though so like you get some of these semis they're having like full sheets of snow flying off the top of them on the highway i mean it's fine it's crazy yeah it really is i saw some two-wheel drive having [ __ ] yesterday driving reckless by the way oh yeah normally out here in indiana people very slow and it's almost annoying yesterday there was like one lane on the highway that had the road like the tracks on it you know so that's what kind of where everybody was driving you could there was two other lanes potentially and you're going at like 35 40 miles an hour in this one lane you can see how you can get tempted to go into the lanes that don't have any snow like removed at all because nobody's been driving on then you see this honda civic comes flying by and i'm like yo that is an aggressive move i don't know if that civic even knows and then i started thinking deeper you know i was like oh these are probably drug smugglers right now just trying to get to wherever they got to get to they know they're not going to get pulled over let's try to make as many as we can there was this nissan altima that that did like a dip move into the thing and just kept it moving i'm like how are you that confident in what you're doing oh you've got something in your car that you want to get out of it what is that and as as a two-wheel driver previous two-wheel driver if you go less than 20 20 miles an hour you are getting stuck like you have to keep up the momentum yeah but out here in indiana flat there's really nothing you know what i mean now granted i did i got close to my house there's just one little thing there's people trying to push a car so that means they're outside of their car okay in a downhill valley in indiana not that big but it's still a valley that is kind of there's people trying to push a car in the ice and snow so now you are standing in between your car that you're pushing and the car that potentially can't stop behind you and by the way that ain't going to work and also how about the other side of the road coming down around there so i rolled down the window and said dumb and then just kept it kept driving had a lot of those this morning too oh yeah people were walking just rolled down the window and nick's jeep dumb and then rolling it up just i want to let them know that somebody did let them know that they should not be doing what they're doing what you had to i did just like you and just like you i'd like to be able to sleep at night if diggs died this morning i did call him and tell him not to come in because the roads will be too bad so if he'd at least i could sleep tie same thing just like those stooges trying to push that car minivan i think that was never going to make it good never going to make it there was a cop that came down on the other side which is good news turn the lights on and all that but i mean who knows how that ended still haven't got an update hopefully they're all right probably a [ __ ] 16-car pileup by the time you get home tonight that is a recipe for disaster good luck dumb hey so how are you gonna feel though if if you four guys are riding home today obviously you get stuck in one of these little valleys do you want people to drive by and just yell dumb or do you want them to try to help no we have too much weight in the car yeah we'll be okay we'll pick up nick's jeep and walk it up the hill we'll just be a part of traffic don't you worry about us okay dumb there was dudes this morning they were just walking in the middle of the street on the right side of the road yeah if you're walking you're on the left side so you can see what's coming at least right side of the road just what dom can't do it most guys have tried different ways to last longer in the sack but thinking about baseball doesn't always work the folks at roman and online men's health company are changing the game with roman swipes the secret to longer lasting better sex oh yeah you ever heard of this hey you ever heard p-a-t-m-c-a-f-e-e you can get your first month of swipes for just five dollars wow when you choose a monthly plan that's git roman dot com forward slash pat mcafee did you sign up aj i think i was one of the first five members yep that's awesome be aj aj be like aj for the next four minutes what next four minutes we had to wait for the turn of the clock there's a massive clock that just stares at me right here it's really the only thing that is staring at me all the time in the show is this clock and i've missed a couple hard outs obviously we have seen that which is weird because that thing is right there but whenever it's like five seconds to the next minute it's always like i should probably wait just to get it yeah there it is right there gorgeous claw hey shout out to that clock nice foxy did you make that move right there wow [ __ ] foxy what a play moves the camera over there i'm usually not that quick no yeah that's what we're saying got his work boots on today oh no foxy wore a brand new pair of boots in the office today this officer can't do that you got to hold him up to the camera please do it please please foxy please zoom in on those oh man those are dressy like it's pretty formal thank you aj yeah i don't know if he was going to see what happens is he wears something in this office that the other guys in this office may not wear like pat will just stare at him he just stares at him and then and then i look i go just say it just get it out pat just say it just because you wouldn't wear it doesn't mean i i can't wear it no that's not what happens this is one side of the story i stare at them because they're brand new and it's like i actually said nice boots i complimented the boots that's what i did you oh he got all self-conscious though because it felt like he potentially when he put him on today he was like oh that's what i like it's a statement i like these that's yours because there's snow on the ground i'm gonna wear my new pair of boots and then you guys to get all crazy that i'm wearing something new here let's not act like those are snow boots about what i mean those are not great i actually said they're not snow boots but they worked all right let's get to a break people are fading the booths in the chat people are saying no good to the boots yeah they're probably saying with that lighting they look like incredibly uncomfortable in plastic that is not the case that is good leather is that great leather it is good leather it's crazy if the chat says bad boots they are most definitely good boots thank you oh okay also contrarian digs okay the chat's gonna side with pat 100 at the time i didn't side with anybody i actually liked the boots they're against me right now all right we know how this goes when you say you like something what you were very obviously lying right to that person's face that is not that is not true i mean hey the fact that you sit there and stare at just stare at his boots or if someone's wearing a shirt or some new pants like that's the creepiest like weirdest most pat mcafee thing there is that does not happen okay the way you take it is obviously the same way a serial killer would take that sentence that is not the worst you showed us the look when when he said oh pat doesn't disturb exactly like i've i've seen that look not to me i don't think but i've seen you do that when you showed up with your piss bottle yeah i mean i was definitely what the [ __ ] is going on here yeah yeah when you walked in the back you had your bottle of piss you remember your cigar and everything like that disgusting good sweater on you by the way today yeah that is very good sweater we i'm surprised we didn't talk about it to be honest you want to stare at it the jacket well everybody is kind of looking at right now by the way and i think there's actually like a study that says like the first thing people look at or notice for you is their shoes you know why because people [ __ ] look at them aj so when you come in with these goddamn boots out of nowhere people are going to notice and go ah new boots in the office here that's interesting good boots they're nice boots good boots nice boots i would wear those boots by the way so whatever you said just because i can't wear them you said or something nobody said yeah i can't pull them off that's what i said i would wear those [ __ ] boots pal how about that all right we got to get to a break got four minutes and on the other side we're taking some phone calls this show is gonna end at some point and i'm sure we're all pumped up about it this is the pat mcavee show february 16 2021. [Music] he's saying don't go off the top it's too shallow all you're going to hear this stadium do is they put the big paw up they start shaking it they go whoa [Applause] [Music] [Applause] yeah he loves the defensive side of the ball he said yesterday to me that this is a blue collar team they wanted on special teams they have five block kicks this season the defensive side of the ball lynch leads the big 12 and sacks but also on the offensive side denzel mims is an absolute animal he is a weapon charlie brewer the quarterback from blake travis his dad was a quarterback in texas his grandpa was a quarterback in texas and the people here in waco just so happened to get a chance to see charlie brewer on a daily basis hey hey hey [Applause] a little bit different than what it means on the internet currently and hopefully here in baylor they hope they're not hearing a lot of boomer sooner everybody wants to be a punter including quarterbacks if i was a quarterback i'd want to be a punter as well zero yards on that punch embarrassing situation the dark dance that gets on national television has led to a lot of glossies but you gotta respect the hips being able are out here on the brazos river which you can take a boat to the game one of the only stadiums in the country that you can do that's beautiful out here a lot of people would say this is the last time i'm gonna be on game day last time i allegedly did what i'm about to do i ended up in a jail cell let's go [Applause] [Music] oh [Applause] bad decision bad decision the poop kicker's getting down here [Applause] that was a sellout by the way that was beautiful do you have any other shirts yeah hold up get changed before you get sick hey great manchester it was like five feet i'm standing there that's full commitment by the way [Music] so [Music] here's welcome back from new york bathroom break this is the pat mcafee show here's pat yes welcome back to the show this is don't leave me lonely by the late night special bit which is a band that we have a great relationship with yeah i got they have other songs where i try to decipher their lyrics and we fail there as well it's a big vibe band you know it feels like [Music] cuz [Music] [Applause] don't leave me it's a vibe song you know it's a vibe i love hey i love that this show is on serious like if you just stumbled upon this channel and that was you like that's a oh hey this this show's coming out of break let's see what they are i will say i uh i do not listen to many shows this morning in nick's jeep we were a serious jeep going into work this morning nick is a serious uh subscriber subscriber and surfer he's on serious a lot we bounced around to a lot of different channels i'm not sure i heard anything that's anywhere near this particular show and that's kind of what i was thinking while we were bouncing around i was like wow god damn our show is the war show we went to six different shows i think and the thought of people bouncing from that one to this one in that moment that you just referred to right there oh my god just wait away scotty got scottie pharrell scottie farrell's on sports grid right on the way home oh yeah i've heard he is a legend scott dog's like this he's from pittsburgh yeah leather voice they call him let's go scotty pharrell this morning who we listen to we listen to sway a little bit nice sway had a hell of a hell of a show we listened to uh linda cone on shine killed it she crushed it linda cone by the way og she is uh i think she's doing this show friday oh nice really here we go i think so i think linda's doing it pumped up about gonna have to have her on the show at some point big fan of her operation we went over to um we bounced around a couple different times i heard a lot of people talking some people should not be talking where we are in that category speaking but here we are let's go to ray in michigan ray what's going on bub hey can you guys hear me oh yeah ray what's going on oh i just wanted to say uh first first time ever calling into any radio show so uh feels good moment for me here glad it's you guys hey ray hey we appreciate that right it's just you and me talking by the way there's nobody listening this show stinks anyway so what do you want to talk about pal uh none just uh come on talk some nascar with you guys i see you guys talking uh seem like you're interested to make you all got fired up for daytona talking about it the past few days talking about that guy's car is on fire just race back out there i mean i've been following this since i was a little kid and that's the stuff that happens every year and now that uh we can get in some action here i'm betting on michigan i think there's a big chance to win some money okay who are we betting on who we bet on aside from ky and mitch mcconnell who are we betting on going forward are they going to win every single week i know there's a difference between a road course in a super track and a an oval and a round and all that different [ __ ] who should we bet on going forward ray yeah that's the key that's uh every race every driver has their different races they love next week they're at the the daytona road course it's like driving on 465. oh geez probably one point elliott dominates food courses i mean you choose them up and eating for breakfast i mean this guy's won the last four road courses i mean at the bush clash that was the road course but that was like exhibition race and chase had had to go to the back of the race for back of the line for family inspection and he had the fastest car by far i don't think chase loses at the daytona road course again so i got him as a lock okay ray if he wins i would like you to call back in next week make it your second time ever calling into a show and become our nascar expert and nascar sharp i thought i was good that's too much credit you guys need to get on uh nick gibson you didn't even get on nick giffin get him on the show this guy is a nascar genius well then what the [ __ ] are you on yeah he doesn't believe in chase elliot he just gave us an entire lock and then he said don't listen to what i said come on hey i hate to break it to you right i am i was now i'm gonna look for what do you say nick wilson john giffen i think oh the gifter listen all i'm saying is don't bet against juan pablo montoya at a road course wow this show is so terrible there's no way we got it right by the way is it john giffin is that what he said it was nick nick if it so we got right we had to put it together this show stinks so bad but if nick giffin wants to call in and give us locks we appreciate aj you big nascar guy i mean i watched dayton now i didn't see the end okay i didn't watch all of stage three because it got a bit late but if it's on a road course diner in dayton and you're talking about chase elliott gobbles him up for breakfast he said let's go i'm excited for it i'm not a uh an avid nascar fan but i like to watch it sometimes but who so who was his lock that he backed off on jason he is the favorite plus two hundred okay ty yeah i got kyle bush in [ __ ] plus 1500 what's mitch mcdowell he's got to be plus 7 000 at this point that guy never won until he won last week mitch mcdowie can't even get out odds on him geez no respect eight times plus a thousand ky plus a thousand i'm going with him he got screwed last week he's probably gonna win a road course fight guess he's a [ __ ] driver too you put him in truck sprint cart go-kart whatever the hell you want funny guy he's gonna drive the [ __ ] out of that thing i don't think for some reason i can't find odds on jeff gordon or juan pablo well jeff gordon's uh commentating the race right now yeah that is why and you never know he's going to jump in a car though tony stewart while you're there diggs he's also okay don't don't fall for that smoke is not racist it's funny you mentioned that because that's all i was thinking when you're talking about those people getting out there walking against the traffic lights smokes [Laughter] didn't mean it it's a funny segue how that works out but no i did not mean to link the two oh you didn't rest in peace okay well i know that was a terrible situation for literally everybody all right smoke caught up in some [ __ ] like real bad obviously a guy died then the person you're making jokes about you i'm not making a joke i'm just saying you know that you know that's why i said that's a catastrophe waiting to happen but racing is dangerous that is something we have to remember whenever we're watching dayton street course hey listen you know i mean it was aj blame aj he was the one that basically delivered it to me on a silver platter i think smoke by the way indiana guy i do belief i believe tony stewart's an indiana guy here we go more power to him i've met him a couple times on the sideline of games you know he's been like uh invited probably by the coats or whatever really nice guy good conversation of course really nice guy and then he did get yeah columbus indiana he got caught up in that whole thing where he got yeah that was a big deal in the race community by the way i won't let you know that i'll say and now we are a part of the race community once we potentially got and gave the largest coverage to mitch mcdowell yesterday out of all shows we are potentially in the race community well deep inside of it right now whether we know it or not now we're talking about dave giffin too oh yeah dave giffin will get going too whenever he starts sending out locks on those [ __ ] nascars you go ahead and hammer those things you know this hammer's about to break in half because the football season we asked him let's not forget about junior well you know june retired as well i can't believe i believe june returned as well what about jimmy well i think jimmy also not in the race car anymore if i had to guess where have all the great's gone i think they all found uh right to the tow yard let's go to cole in connecticut oh i see what you did it was racing thing cole what do you want to talk about what's going on boys uh before i say anything pat this is the best thing to listen to all right this is not an awful show this is the best thing to listen to all day long thank you cole thank you that means a lot yeah other thing i think i want to talk about is the uh spurs just got three games uh postponed and the hornets also got two games postponed because uncle do you think that's gonna mess you up two teams that are kind of like on a roll right now i think anytime you can get off rhythm that does definitely affect it but the nba season is still there's so much left right spurs could get hot again it doesn't really matter i'd assume i have no idea who is on the spurs what the team is at all did not know that they had been game suspended because of uncle covet or whatever but it does feel like the nhl and the nba are going to continue to battle against this throughout the entire season and assume it's going to be locked down whenever it gets a playoff time for both of them i'm happy that both those leagues are popping off right now because college basketball is very tough to bet on so betting on the nba and on the nhl is a lot easier than college basketball and i enjoy getting a chance to watch athletes do incredible things but uncle covett is here for at least another year and they'll be affecting everything and everybody's gonna have to deal with it i think well nba season two was only reduced by ten games so it's still a 72 game season so they're not as bad as the nhl but you know they'll be back you don't want to peak this early anyways hey jay you watch a lot of uh nba basketball yeah over there i do not but aren't there only like four teams that have a chance to win it all well that's what people are saying is going to happen in the nfl if the uh free agency frenzy continues to grow in the nfl like it was and is in the nba now i think it's much more of a team sport in the nfl so i don't think that'll ever legitimately happen there will always be teams that come together like by the way the spurs did for a very long time if you're talking about nba teams stuff but yeah it feels like there's a couple guys that can control who's going to be good and who's not going to be good in the league remember the greek freak last year was the entire conversation it seems like he's not even a part of it anymore now that kevin durant is back with the nets braun braun is going to do his thing you feel like kevin durant's going to do his thing i'd assume there'll be a couple others that pop up but yeah it feels like guys are controlling that league right now if they want to and kyrie irving just figured it out he said you know what james harden you're the point guard on the shooting guard let's go get some wins and kyrie by the way has been playing the best he's been playing in a long time that's right um draymond green that was an interesting take though where he was talking about basically what we're talking about the business side of the sport and how much control the players have he was talking about how the media bury players that are looking to move uh but they commend teams that are looking to move a player without the player which is an interesting give and take but i feel like the people he was talking to will never care what draymond green says because they view it in a much different fashion than draymond green i respect that he did it but the people that have to hear that are never going to listen to that conversation with him yeah is that i mean and preaching to the choir would that be accurate for that part i don't think so uh more like speaking to a wall you know the people the people that feel like the players are terrible people and they want to be traded in love when teams want to trade players those people are never going to listen to a player telling them that they should care about those people just i mean hopefully i mean you know what 2021 maybe mine's open and i appreciate draymond doing that and taking a stand but that i feel like that's potentially a lost cause but i like that draymond's taking a stand uh this show is wrapping up the next show will be much better with chris mad dog we'll be back tomorrow with another sub average show be a friend tell a friend this is siriusxm pat mcafee show february 16th i had to get to the thing that i was filling phil and phil and how do i end but we did it we did it um yeah because the conversation there is obviously the teams are allowed to do whatever the [ __ ] they want they're the ones that own the operation and own the business or whatever and draymond's like well okay that can be right but i think he was speaking to the people that speak publicly uh in the media and potentially you know blogs and everything like that the narrative that gets pitched whenever it's one thing versus another but that is in every sport that happens that's in everything basically there's people that enjoy like the establishment and then there's people that enjoy almost the you know the uh like the comeuppance almost it feels like you know there's always going to be those two sides kind of at odds i believe but i like that draymond came out and took a stand aj well it isn't he just basically saying i didn't i didn't even get to see what he said i just read the quick headline but is he saying like when a player wants out or if it wants to go somewhere else they're viewed as like a selfish person they want more money or they want more rings in a team if they want to get rid of a guy like oh this is a good move because this guy's not as good as we thought yeah and then also no not because he's just good business move it's good for the team or maybe even for what he thought he talked about how kyrie needed a break for his mental health and he got chastised for being selfish and everything like that but if this they're sitting players out right before the games and stuff because they want to trade him it's just he was talking about how the perception of the two different moves although they have the same um basically motives inside they are perceived very differently by a certain group of people and i think that is who he was directing his artillery at if i had to guess yeah spot on yeah feels good about it a lot of big words in there too so the old whites that potentially hate me for my um vocabulary are gonna have to deal with that one gotcha they're gonna have to sit on that one aren't they artillery come upence was in there and i think it was used i think it was accurately used correctly i think so pretty good little day nailed it thanks man so he's talking to the media he's talking to media and the fans i guess probably the fans too obviously mainly yeah because nowadays everybody can have a voice with social media so i assume he was talking to literally everybody like hey hey [ __ ] you for the way you paint the picture here you know i like your glasses like that but i think it's thank you i think it's good to get out there and say that yeah he definitely has a gripe there but it's not going to change anything but at least that's out there it's on the record for him yeah well and everybody knows whose side he's on and he's also taking a stand letting people know that hey we see this as well it's not just outside the nba or the nfl or anything like that who see it you know and that's i like that a lot like oh i would dream one he's like a member of the media now though though oh yeah he did the uh pregame show with uh lefkow the thursday one yeah during the players there's one pose that won't the shaq wasn't it or was it with the checkers on both sides the a1 though and everywhere else the a one the thursday one you're saying yeah what do you mean the a one that's what i'm saying what was he saying with that the real one he means yeah 20 years that's the one i'm talking about you're talking about the award the one that is yeah that wins all the [ __ ] enemies that's about the one with d and left and shaq that one's good too i never said i didn't like it i love watching that yeah i love it let go's my guy lefko is our guy he's a good guy to us he's a good guy nice guy you watch that show aj how is anybody supposed to trust anything that anybody says on the show what do you mean i think you know all right we gotta get out of here is now we have to go establish some credibility here check this out you got a big office what do you mean by that though that's very rude you can trust everything that we say in here now listen ty was potentially not in that particular case but in other situations but i mean what you said earlier that was uncalled for what about smoke yeah i mean hey if you want to feel sorry for the guy go ahead you know i'm not going to it's not a big deal he knows what he did everyone's everyone's passed it except the family of the time ty terrible guy rest in peace i'm just saying you're a bad guy that was a that was a big race community situation but we had to address it i guess because we are now part of the race community because i was getting attacked for not knowing that guy's name last night on having getting attacked a lot lately by the way hey comes with the territory that's right i was getting for not knowing his do a little bit of research be a professional i was told by people on twitter for mitch mcdowell yeah kidding me yeah i was attacked for it i apologize okay i didn't know nascar was gonna become that big a part of our conversation yesterday i did watch dayton but boy once you start thinking about what happened out there it's it's hard not to comment if you don't have all the facts right what should we hold off on the conversation because we don't know the guy's name maybe but not here what's that there's 101 odds i mean there's new that guy existed no but he's you're talking about the next day when you're talking about the winner oh a simple google search could have brought his name up who doesn't you want me in the middle of show do a google search what type of [ __ ] show am i running i mean you've read oh jeremy piven text me like you've done that jeremy pippen has texted me in the past and it is always interesting whenever his name pops up on the phone for sure but i've never done that on the show how would i know that then that he's texted me yeah that you've mentioned him like during the show because he's been on the show he's been on the show jeremy pippen's been on the show oh yeah did he was he doing stand-up in indy and he came on for real yes he was doing his one-man show and he came on there's mitch mcconnell daytona 500 one boy mitchy jesus we got everybody coming after us that's not real by us i mean me by the way i'll take the shrapnel boys because it's my mouth normally saying the things that are offending people so i would do what i have to do you're not really offending people raiders nation so i watched comedians in cars getting coffee with uh jerry and steve harvey last night and steve harvey they talked about him having to come out and apologize for something that he said or whatever and he gave a full speech about you know one advertiser pulls it and then another advertiser they have to fake care so they put like this is what he's saying and that whole thing and it is interesting the people that were tweeting me the last couple days i wonder if they genuinely care or not and that's an intriguing thing to think about with every single tweet that you see on here do these people actually care or not and it feels like there was some that were genuinely upset about what i said and what i mean mostly what connor said so i'm taking a beating for what connor said but hey i'll do it every single day pal because you know you hit something you hit some homers you had a lot of homers over there i mean you're gonna swing you know you do take swings and some hacks and everything like that but you hit a large large percentage of the time this particular time you might have we don't know i mean the future will tell what is right or what is wrong but you did potentially offend an entire fan base that loves a sector of a fan base that has been attacking the [ __ ] out of me i know i wish i saw that so i could go to bat i mean when i say that he's had a hell of a career as a starting career yeah yeah and he has sounds like a compliment yeah i don't know what i don't know why everyone's so upset guys had hell of a starting career it's like why is your head coach shopping him then if he's so damn good whoa well also who gives a [ __ ] he's wearing a patriots hat i mean like he's [ __ ] you know [ __ ] i got a coats a [ __ ] ball right in front of me come on yeah the hefty lefty comes with territory boys it comes with the territory apologize by this off season is we're only dealing with rumors and [ __ ] i feel like it's probably going to happen a lot we got to just kind of buckle up in here you know what i mean like aj going down a hill on a z turn we got it out but think about how many opinions you have pat on everything that you see and then like why why does the opinion of one person affect you so much who this it was in one person dude not just you no no i'm not saying you specifically i'm saying just i was getting attacked by a bunch of people i mean i was getting a lot of tweets but still each person it's just that it's just that person's thought like i don't feel like my opinions matter or care like in the grand scheme of anything me neither by the way and that's why i think i continue to say this show stinks because i want people to know like hey i i don't understand why this particular show is a platform the way it is but i want here's a way to look at it that we're looking at it not necessarily right i mean normally right that's why a lot of people watch and listen but we're not saying that we're just saying hey the numbers kind of speak for themselves but we don't think you should listen anyways you know aj i like that keep the expectations low and just real i mean we watch a lot of shows and there's a lot of missing out there i mean there is a lot of misfit out there and i always you know i think the ones that that got to me the tweets or whatever were people that were tweeting to me that that's all i was trying to do basically was just stir the pot and be a troll it's like that is not what i'm trying to do i won't let you unless i'm talking to the wrestling community directly okay i am not trying to ruffle feathers i hate that community okay they are a dumb group of people a very the dumbest some would say so when i'm talking to them maybe i'm saying things that i don't necessarily mean just to piss them off sure but everything else i am hey this is how i exactly feel right now so that kind of offended me a little bit too i think you know well i get it i mean that's you're absolutely not a troll because i don't think you care enough to be a troll like why you don't want to waste your time you do have to care a lot but i think whenever people are trolling out there i don't think we give enough credit to the trolls in the amount of time unless their brains just automatically think of okay this is how i genuine which i'm not arms insurance maybe trolls are being genuine and it just like you know maybe the people that like skip bayless he might believe everything he says he legitimately might and he has what for 30 years now at this point just stirred the pot and he genuinely believes it i would assume there are some people that don't genuinely believe it and just kind of want to stir the pot and the fact that their brains can immediately think of okay this is going to piss everybody off yeah and then they just go ahead and jump right in to the foxhole and just go ahead and take shrapnel all day like they love that i think we got to give them a little bit of respect too but i'm not one of them i cannot do that i do not enjoy that that is not my style but people have had a lot of success in that particular fashion yeah but don't you think if you're going to like that's going to be your career path i mean you can't just it's not going to be something that you you take the opposite side on i'm guessing you there's some truth to everything that you put out there okay maybe like i could view it this way like and you might just exaggerate it a little bit but i can't believe it's a complete departure from who you are yeah you're right you're you're probably thinking they you think the people that are professional [ __ ] stars they see how somebody could feel and run with it as opposed to how they feel you're saying that you think there's a little bit of truth in the feelings of all the trolls i think there has to be a little bit of truth in no those debate classes you ever seen those debate classes i i would normally believe you until i walked into it was a debate class i think in at west virginia i like i i like walked in i think somebody i forget how i ended up in it but they were teaching it and maybe the only class i went through that entire semester i was not a member i was not a student in that thing i was just kind of watching watching these people just go to bat for something they believed nothing there's no way that really kind of opened my eyes i was like oh man you can really have some passion for [ __ ] you do not believe in at all i think there's some of that but you're right i do believe there's probably a little bit of feeling towards something too that's how they begin their passion in the whole thing yeah that's that's not that i would think that has to be how you at least break in or you're doing like some other kind of route and you just you dabble into the trolling industry you dabble and then you start building a following and then you get that following and then you find a way to monetize it and that becomes who you are like i'm giving that person respect i think that's a however you do it man do whatever you want skip got broken off right when he went over to fox oh yeah [ __ ] paid paid him he's on every morning by the way he's all over the internet still to this day a man that everybody goes after him for averaging 0.9 points or whatever per game or whatever it's like that guy has had an impact on sports for like 30 years now at this point at a very high level it's like he's got to be doing something right over there i mean you love smack him in the mouth every once in a while yeah sure i mean i told him that a couple times on twitter when he was talking [ __ ] about kicker still does that we're past it now you know he's we've kind of got past it because now i'm at the point where it's like i respect what he's doing over there but you know he made some comments about how i feed my you know my family back in the day it's like hey what i work my ass off pal right he goes after kickers and punters i'm like hey you keep putting makeup on television okay and go in there and i'll just [ __ ] get off our backs and then he just continued to bear nothing i said didn't change anything so i was like all right well i'ma stop doing this i guess and now just become the point where i'm just like i cannot wait to see how skip flips this into something terrible and he does all the time somehow he does and it's like that guy is a wizard with his thoughts unless he genuinely feels that way towards everything which could be true shannon sharp uh stirred the pot with the internet a little bit yesterday with what he said about uh johnny manziel he talked about how you know there was such a incredible amount of expectation and hype around johnny football whenever he came out of college after winning the heisman as a freshman and kind of doing this whole thing taking over the sec being an absolute beast first in first round draft pick and everything like that and then it all kind of spiraled out of control and i think johnny at this point has been pretty open about all the mistakes he's made and how he feels like he probably could have done a lot of things better now he's playing in the fan crazed football league he didn't have his greatest game he actually came out and said i'm washed i'm kind of passed on this is kind of something i and shannon said that people are laughing at him in this long explanation as opposed to with him and uh obviously the internet got a little bit upset with that because johnny has come out and opened up about his struggles and kind of revealed himself as being you know like uh kind of raw and genuine for a lot of the things that he's gone through and i assume a lot of people uh kind of emotionally relate to that but the issue was a guy named bob menory who's the owner of the zappers in the fan craze football league the team that drafted johnny he came out and went after shannon sharp for saying like uh like basically i don't know the narrative he painted but bob mannery's not a guy that anybody believes that he's like okay this guy should be sticking up for anybody in anything so it was just the internet got stirred up i just i'm a pro johnny manziel guy over here i think what he's been through is something a lot of people can hopefully learn from in the future uh but he definitely did not live up to what everybody thought he was gonna be he's definitely in that conversation of guy that didn't make it to where we all thought and hoped he would go to don't you think we're like everyone is is way past laughing at johnny manziel i feel like everyone has empathy for him and his situation and the struggles he's gone through i feel like we've already like come through all that he's in a weird spot i don't know the win or lose we booze thing like yeah i mean that didn't help yeah yeah yeah but that's a zappers baby that's right that's his zappers dude [ __ ] a zapper [ __ ] zippys and zappies i mean bob better he's a [ __ ] bag titty [ __ ] all right but that is interesting though right because everyone's talking about that stuff and that's like the whole thing with their team is like getting [ __ ] up and yeah i think johnny knows that yeah but it's interesting so that's why it's like well why the hell would anyone feel sorry for him yeah i think he's at a good point in his life or whatever yeah absolutely by the way pretty good impression right there thank you damn pretty good impression right there very good hey cool question boys or you yeah darren revel in his twitter account what is that like when he posts a picture of him run to 40 yeah and pop in his hand like it's serious that's genuine i think out of him and by the way when he signed with the action network which was two years ago three years ago two years ago i think maybe a year and a half people were questioning the action network signing him uh from espn and darren novell was very open with saying that the action network just received a two million person platform it's a great deal for the action network that was two years ago the current standings for darren revelle's uh media following on twitter 2.2 million dollar two no just two million just two million subscribers so he has had the same amount of people follow him for two years at this point which is impressive i've been a person that has followed him for the last two years darren revell is in his own category of content you know what darren revell content is you don't necessarily love it or need it you're just like oh that's darren reveal but what a [ __ ] what a niche darren revell has gotten himself into quite his own world on the internet he almost got his [ __ ] dick kicked in by pft just a couple days ago because he was popping off at the goddamn mouth pfd has been riding on that peloton for what seems to be maybe 10 hours a day he would drum darren ravello's face into the ground which by the way darren revell likes that that conversation's even happening which by the way follows the next point that's what darren reveal content is it none of us understand it none of us know why it is but it is what it is in this particular world well that's what like you look at all the comments under un underneath all of his posts like people will hate watch tv shows i don't feel like very many people like hate follow someone on twitter but i think he has a lot of that or just like any any time he posts something it's just like you know people just going at him non-stop for pages on pages on pages where'd we see we saw him at the astros game yeah he yelled your name and just kept running oh yeah it was it was one of the weirdest things of all time yeah well i was sitting in a little bit um and he was running up the stairs we had terrible seats at that point i mean we were at a world series game so that was cool we weren't allowed into in the stadium until the seventh inning though because the mlb ticket app didn't work so we were literally standing outside for seven innings and then we go inside and the astros are so incredibly nice uh they're my tickets uh matt hasselbeck was treated like he was a goddamn king a guy got a massage while he was walking through the building with the astros people i was getting lost in the crowd or whatever we finally end up on new seats that they got us they were good we were in the world series it was awesome didn't know there was garbage cans and things like that popping off at that particular world series but then darren revell all of a sudden out of nowhere sprints up the stairs like all by himself almost like past us and he i think he saw me while he was sprinting and he said pat and i like just looked and i saw a blur of a sport coat running up the stairs and at the top darren ravel was like standing up there at the top and then we had like a point at each other and then he walked away and i was like darren revell just [ __ ] darren revell was just all by himself sprinting through this stadium what he's his own you're a fan obviously you're a fan of darren ravel he's his own world though on the internet he is i don't know if i follow him or not i know i i know pft's always kind of had a thing with him but do they have like real beef going back and forth i saw him started but i don't know what what's been going on the last couple days something happened where um something happened where they talked about how much jose canseco made in that rough and rowdy fight where he just flopped he just completely flopped i mean i believe watching the from what i saw in social media billy would have beat the [ __ ] out of jose anyway so like i think jose knew that then the the numbers came out for how many buys it had how much money jose made and then i believe darren go ahead and throws his self into it because that's darren reveal content by the way throwing himself into something that nobody would understand why darren revell's in it but then he's in there and it's like that makes sense it's darren reveal so then he talked about the money i think and then pft was like okay let's do it and then there was the back off thing but i would have enjoyed seeing that i think the world would have enjoyed seeing that i mean he wouldn't he wouldn't have to take the sunglasses off by the way no sunglasses would have been no problem at all ravel is the least athletic human but there's another human just like skip least athletic human maybe on the internet at this point massive massive in the sports world so good for him i guess right yeah and his big thing this morning [Applause] who skippy skip skip oh yeah yeah skip don't be doing that skip it is a lot of people in the comment section are saying they hate rebellion that's what we're saying though like that's it yeah that's like his thing but were they are they setting up a possible like legit boxing match and roughly darren ravel would never that is man by the way that's darren revel content right he was man i would i don't know they got to work it in somehow they got to figure that out i want to see darren reveal fight anybody let alone pf2 be perfect maybe they should get them darren avell that four that what he ran 30 yards it took him seven eight seconds or something like that it was how he looked he never left the ground the time it was how it looks no but i'm just saying though like of course how he looked he was running as if he was like a parachute you know like he was trying forward too like he was running hips really forward to catch the air it looked like he was trying to do while he was running and then then after you watch it so many times you think like man that took a long time to get five yards that took a long time to get 10 yards you know but there's a guy who has made a living in the sports space good for him pfd beat the [ __ ] out of him though let's go to logan in seattle what's going on logan hey what's up pat happy to be on my third straight show uh how was this call yesterday how was the show yesterday no no no logan please i was talking about your call how was how was logan's call yesterday aj do you remember i don't know if i'm not uh what time are you on what'd you talk about yesterday uh i asked you about uh aaron rodgers being the best man oh yeah your question kinda yeah no i mean it was it was a good call you had good energy yeah the the subject matter okay i mean it didn't lead to that great of a convo but i think today you're probably going to have a home run i think this is going to you're going to hit it out of the park logan what do you want to talk about did i do that bro his brain is that me is that my fault no no no no no he's trying to catch the air i've never like that's like he went like seven yards that's what i'm saying no i just don't understand it but i love it he sold out for it which by the way darren reveal content i got one that he did on a longer football field of a 40 where it was a 6.41 40. can an infant baby beat him in a fight no in a race and a fight i guess yeah like when they do those baby races at basketball courts i would assume if you had one of those babies really determined for some uh snack or something he could probably get scooting probably number one number one baby scooter probably let's go to jack in massachusetts what's going on jack what is going on pat hey jack i hate to break this to you because you're up here in new england but we've been talking a lot off air really feels like the glory days of the football team up there are long long long gone pal hold the line jack listen first of all huge ohio state fans guys are hot in basketball right now love you aj shout out to all the boys thank you mint for finally answering my call thank you mitt i think thanks like i don't know it might be another 15 years until we make the playoffs again but hey wow legit that's a legitimate it might be the same case as the browns who knows but i mean we got sticks that's good enough thank you jack for calling massachusetts careful back there fox are you saying sell the team foxy i'm just saying like i was born a detroit lions fan so my entire life i know what it's like to stink these patriots fans i don't know if they're gonna be able to take it god you go from high time celebration living good rick ross is rapping about us absolutely here we go let's live this thing hey scene done start to the playoffs season there's 20 years of that by the way unbelievable times to be alive i'd assume they might talk about that glory day [Music] they might talk about that down the road about what it used to be like you might have to tell your kids about what it used to be like whenever uh tommy foxboro was still tommy [ __ ] foxborough hey you know the most disappointing thing probably for some patriots fans older ones especially if they have young kids in their kids version of tom brady is him at the the boat parade as a tampa bay buccaneer with a super bowl trophy oh it's lit can you buy me a tom brady bucks jersey oh no because he is going to be only seen in buccaneers jerseys oh yeah yeah damn it is hey thanks for you and zeki sending me to the last super bowl at least i got to see it that was awesome daniel's what about mcdaniels like does he want to get a head gig as soon as possible and get out of there lombardi who i think does know mcdaniels was acting as if you know he potentially did want that eagles gig or whatever now i'm not 100 sure if he was saying that as a pundit or insider there but it did feel like he got into the head coaching search race late right this year i don't know if he was expecting to get in didn't want to get in or nobody was asking about him i would assume at some point he might have to scratch that itch again if they continue to lose up there but is mcdaniel's a good head coach we don't know but he he was in very very high demand i think he still is in demand but how how much longer is he in demand if the patriots continue and they don't play well next year offensively he was going to be the colts head coach yeah he's already out of here why do you turn the plane around connor is it because he was said he was told that he'd get the keys after bill leaves is that why and he thought him and tom would be able to just ride this thing into the sunset up there in new england but now that there's a younger belichick and a bill potentially saying 70 is a lot younger than i thought it was whenever i said i didn't want coach to pass i was 70. maybe he just stares down an opportunity that's never going to come a carrot that he's chasing and has been chasing and maybe he does want to get out of there but do people still want josh mcdaniel will mcdaniels still remain a hot head coaching candidate if they have another year where the quarterback throws eight touchdowns that's right will that happen what do you think also let's say let's say bill decides after next year to retire which i don't think he will and they don't play well offensively and they're saying and bill wants to give it to mcdaniels could you see some backlash from patriots fans saying like no we don't we want something new no these patriots fans and bill says it all good oh yeah oh good that's right at this particular point now if it goes five six years there might become something if they don't have success now listen we do have to give credit where credit is due bill belichick is a great head coach bill belichick had the greatest dynasty in the history of all time who knows how his gm ability will be going forward and judged but if he can't build another team people will talk about how tom was the reason the entire time look for bill to be pretty motivated to get a successful team again but what if they don't oh what if they stink forever oh especially with that miami team the buffalo team oh jets potentially turning things yeah oh they might get deshawn over there yeah oh my god you're right foxy [Music] that fall would have to have to stink but at least they saw the mountaintop exactly which is why why they're me i i never won a super bowl i mean the steelers where i grew up a lot so i could just act like i claimed that you know what i mean i could like everybody in this room does but i'm not going to do that because i do but to see the top of the mountain and then fall completely off it i'll be intrigued to see how he would handle that well once you're at the top the only way to go is bottom you know you can't be up there forever but tommy kern has said that his sources are telling him the patriots will be uncharacteristically aggressive in the off season so let's see and for mcdaniel's becoming a head coach you know let's give biannamy a shot before we give mcdaniels another one you're out yeah you're right sleeping at the top nightmares up bottom that's lil wayne back whenever he was just on all the drugs just incredible words coming out of his mouth poetry it was he was an uzi of jesus what is this does any of it make sense no but it makes you go oh clever like eminem currently is um all right i think it's time oh vincent jackson i wanted to wait until you were on uh to do this and yesterday while i was driving home in the middle of a blizzard um i got home can't be on your phone obviously when you're driving ever okay don't do that but especially when you're in the middle of a you know a blizzard actually happening with no roads plowed or anything like that i get home you get on i get on the phone and you see vincent jackson had passed away i was like i had to be a different vincent jackson vincent jackson was just in the nfl not that long ago i mean you're talking about a stud player big name player a person who in the san diego community and the tampa bay community they said was incredible off the field as well not only a captain an incredible wide receiver but also an incredible man in the community to hear that he was found in a hotel was incredibly sad teas and peas everybody involved down there i'm not sure it has come out what happened he had allegedly been staying in the hotel at this point for almost a month so the story i assume will get out at some point but rest in peace to an incredible player uh teas and peas everybody involved it seems to be happening way too much at this point aj i absolutely hate it it's the worst part about this whole life thing is the death thing and i would have never guessed vincent jackson would be somebody we'd be referring to about passing away anywhere near february 16 2021. oh yeah i mean i was obviously shocked when i heard it i mean i'm 37 he's 38 like it's so young for that to happen then when you hear that yeah he was staying in the hotel for a month and then when someone the cops came to do like a checkup just to make sure he was all right a couple days before he was found dead that's terrible yeah what's crazy is going back and seeing that he was didn't he win man of the year like four years in a row or something like he just seemed to do everything right so i mean i feel terrible for his family and whatever i don't know what happened but yeah you're right i had a buddy text me that i played with in college and he played in the league a little while he's like yeah man this is brutal like another guy like it seems like it's happening it's it's too consistent i guess it for for a lot just professional athletes and professional sports in general yeah it's sad and i don't know what it was like all the time but now that we learn about it know about it it's uh it's a bummer check in on your people no matter how successful they are what they have going on send a hello how you doing uh it's nice to you know potentially feel as if people want you if that's what happened if not uh i've i just i think it's good to tell people hey how you doing i love you let's keep it moving because you have no idea what's going to happen tomorrow to anybody which is absurd uh which is why you got to enjoy the hell out of this life because we have no clue when it's all going to end i mean there might be a an earthquake that just separates the entire planet tomorrow and everybody be like yeah i mean maybe you know like that is something that could happen enjoy this life rest in peace to vincent jackson we appreciate your contributions to the sport to the league the communities that you lived in um yeah we'll be back manana aj thank you so much pal thank you i'll see you guys tomorrow all right dude see you then see you then man have a safe uh a safe ride home i hope you don't get stuck and have people yelling well we we um we carpooled yeah so if nick breaks down i'll let him know dumb to him for letting it happen you know i i feel like i'm a good passenger to have in your car though you know what i mean i i do handle things for the driver i try to help you out a little bit do you i sent out a couple [ __ ] yous this morning yeah dumb it's good no try to gotta handle all that when it's like negative 30 out why are so many people walking around that dumb yeah that's what i i don't i don't they're just walking in the middle of the road too it's like hey we have no idea if we can stop right you should not be where you are right now this is dumb maybe there's just good samaritans out there waiting for someone to break down so they could help them that's not what they were doing oh nope these [ __ ] couldn't push a damn thing if they had to saw a guy biking yesterday in the middle of it hey that guy by the way stud that's like when uh cantor's out there in the middle of a blizzard you got somebody in the background jogging yeah city bike too yeah oh oh he's renting it giving back to the city as well we need it because these potholes are terrible that's right if you could rent city bikes that'd be great maybe we fixed this city here and get the poop out of the middle of downtown yeah yeah that'd be great you could poop it down you're like just dog poop hanging out no we're human human humor you ever think about going over there and dropping something down for him me like willie no oh yeah maybe get a job out of it i think that's what these helmets are not thinking by the way the particular bums that are in our city or they're the they're the type that show up and say hey we hate this place we're gonna ruin this place and then we're gonna leave and go somewhere else there's human feces everywhere downtown everywhere absolutely it's wild yeah whose job is that to clean up uh people would say probably the mayor potentially the mayor uh kind of opened the place up basically he was like hey come on do what you got to do but i'd assume at some point it would turn and and to be fair to the homeless if they're living in india right now through this i mean that's enough punishment for them just for sure dookying all over our town sure seems like they're just hoping that you know you leave it out there long enough the homeless will just end up eating it that'll how long do they have to wait to eat it that ty wow i mean right now it's icy cold so buy like a microwave or something like it could double as a popsicle though poop popsicle yeah right pros negative 17 at some point today so this office is freezing absolutely freezing in here you know are they are you having rolling blackouts like texas no no no but teas and peas everybody down here in texas too i saw a truck slide sideways down the hill i think it was in asheville that was nuts it was like it was on a moving sidewalk do you see that video i've never seen backed it out all right i'm gonna go to work today and then all of a sudden just you hear it squealing down and it just slides out of camera it just came and went out of there i wonder how that ended hope that truck's okay but that goes to the point that we're trying to tell you yesterday ice does not care what you're driving okay that truck that guy was in probably a four-wheel drive oh yeah if i had to guess it did not matter on that black ice pile yeah it doesn't believe me i've seen that i've fallen down many times today already plowing to try to get my driveway at least clear so someone could get in and out are you sure you slept and fell out there i mean yeah one might you should see get your zero turn out go try to plow summer just try to drive like it just starts spinning on that ice underneath all the snow so then i gotta get out try to lift the back end when it's seven thousand pounds and move it then you slip and fall it's like a movie you get up and look around to see if any of the neighbors saw you you have neighbors there's no way yep i do no you're like four miles away you work too hard to have neighbors out there about you you ain't got no names you have neighbors i don't live out in the in the country who are your neighbors well one is my sister-in-law and brother-in-law yes you guys got compound hunter and the others no rush wasn't epstein's guys compound up oh yeah yeah i've seen had that mansion right is that a neighbor did he see you like i was down the street you're talking less wexner that's new albany that's like 30 minutes for me yeah it's the driveway is like 30 minutes i've seen the documentary that's right down the road from you you seem to know an awful lot about her hawk about who by where it is you said her no hawk he seems to know an awful lot about it oh you're talking about the epstein castle yeah him and leslie epstein i'm talking les wexner i know they have weird connections but yeah i've tried to look at the less wexner castle you can't even get near it you drive you try to drive around it you can't even get a glimpse of it yeah that's that's because for you how do you know they have connections let's get out of here huh the show's over watch the documentary connor oh oh feels like you were in the dock dude was your house in that drone shot of that of that castle was your house in that drone shot that they had in that dock i'm nowhere near there but if i was involved conor what would my role be well we don't know literally i don't want to guess aj maybe you're the painter like picasso you've been watching anything on netflix or anything like that i've been birching trying to find something decent but i can't really i always just come back to the office on peacock oh tonight hey young rock is dead let's go all right young wrong bucks dude seven bucks production out there try breaking bad it's young rock's life but in a sitcom hell yeah oh love the rock don't know if i'm gonna check that out oh dude eat your words bro what do you hate the rock let me watch the trailer no i have some of the rocks and the awesome like cut off hoodies i love this great workout gear i want to see the is the rock in it or is it a kid representing the rockets right the rock wrote the [ __ ] thing dude it's a kid acting in it though no yeah he's not in in the guy they chose to play vince mcmahon i'm intrigued to see how he he plays that character because uh you know vince is still alive and a lot of wrestling fans know vince pretty well that guy is potentially in for quite an internet reaction yeah but i'm pumped for it i'm going to watch young rock for sure oh yeah who's who is playing vince is it like a known some guy i've never heard of he's he is a comedian uh gary maybe v garyvee is a doodler he is not playing [Music] um doodler motivation check the timeline today you're you're an aunt adam ray ray was what i saw not gary ah adam ray he's a comedian he he posted some it doesn't look anything like vincent oh it does young vince mcmahon have a little respect but also vince would never wear a suit to fit that way and vince was also like a bodybuilder for a long time i don't i don't know if that but is he going to have the fire that vince mcmahon is going to have i if this guy does by the way he might win a goddamn emmy if this guy is really vince mcmahon what do you have mike i'm curious to see where this guy's going to come from like you said with that vince fire because there's no one on earth that can even match an eighth of what vince carries in him and i think vince is gonna be upset look at this game like who the [ __ ] is this schlub that rock picked to play me this is who they casted god damn it what the [ __ ] is this uh that's gonna be a tough gig when that guy that guy probably not a wrestling fan whenever they offered that gig to him that would be one that you would think about being like nah i'm not gonna be vince mcmahon i don't think that's the right play here it's gonna be scrutinized the vince mcmahon character is gonna be scrutinized he wasn't mean enough didn't have enough uh it wasn't a savage enough maybe uh that isn't or maybe the guy by the way wins an emmy because he's vince mcmahon maybe he is vince mcmahon maybe the show's going to stink no there's a massive chance that it blows no whoa not with dwayne johnson what network is this on nbc peacock baby it's gonna be tough to do vince too when they have to follow all the all the protocols and they can't cuss they can't do anything really like do their subject matter no 80s early 80s vince was very very wholesomeness but like you know around the time period that he's supposed to play very very wholesome he was a host he was a play-by-player guy of the show but i assume this is not just on air vince that's potentially going to be appearing out here i wonder if him and jim ross are going to have that seven bucks conversation at a diner for this entire thing i did see a preview where like the rocks driving around and crackhead wakes up in the back seat i mean it's played for comedic purposes but that's pretty sweet i mean this might be you know maybe maybe they are dropping at bombs you think that crackhead brags about being in the rock's backseat for a little bit i was riding around with the rock a little bit no he's probably passed away at this point yeah that guy smoked himself sure that's a shame rest in peace to him i didn't want to do this again but that's a piece of that crack the uh andre the giant is in it macho man randy savages oh yeah okay here we go all of these players all these people are being portrayed by actors oh yeah that's gonna that's gonna be the best part about the show is seeing who like what they're like by the way that's us prepping the show for what we are looking forward to that the i assume the story is going to be great look where he is now right the guy's about to be you know he's the most famous dude on earth he's about to be president probably in this whole thing but it is going to be i'm intrigued to hear how these different characters are in the rock's life and how it's going to be so good andre giant that guy used to just delete beers yeah yeah they better he's playing him big show like how do you cast these there's not these aren't normal matthew willig is playing andre a giant how tall is your real life that's the answer here they'll put that uh boots on that they put on that one italian guy yeah six eight that wants that one that wanted that one italian guy jesus issues again i assume the actor uh who played uh bomb in centennial park will probably be one of the wrestlers at some point come on jake the snake he's like six eight four hundred pounds this guy's six eight as well playing him he'll probably put him on some some of those shoes the guy matt wohlberg or whatever his name is wahlberg no mark wahlberg is playing andre the giants no this guy's 648 what's his name matthew the iron sheik no no he uh warren staff is about the story because the rock star in front of him matt willing played 14 years in the nfl what is manga make michael playing oh my god please if only himself i'm in if he does matt willie's always the character where like the main actor like turns around and runs into a big henchman and he looks up that's him by the way that's a good gig to have that's a good gig to get because there's only a certain amount of those humans out there that's true aj or stipe in there oh he was one eye from uh we're the millers oh really that's a good movie by the way oh i know that guy all right that's what we're gonna do okay here's the bush here's you here's me go back here you're going to suck that cop off [Laughter] that oh 500 pesos what's that that's what you said [Laughter] json right that's json have you watched ted lasso yet aj yeah i love yeah i love ted lasso by the way a lot more people on the internet are starting to come around to ted lasso because just like you and i we are skimming through looking for things to watch and everybody's like i guess we'll watch this and the whole everybody's coming around i don't know last so i hope there's a season two that thing is brilliant out there oh yeah there is it's up for a bunch of rewards too how about queen's gamut they're gonna run that thing back are we gonna get her into another tourney it's a limited series yeah that's what they said but they had massive success so it's going to she's right now well she's about to become a big time star well she's a hell [ __ ] chess player yeah she turns it i saw her in some interview my wife and i saw something that she had like super long weird blonde hair like do you know what she looks like when she's not in the show no i know all i know is uh beth harmon you know how weird ted lasso is those writers man they figure out how to make it like weird and goofy and funny but then he there's like legit coaching point like there's legit really good like it shows you how like there's different kind of leaders like jason today that coach it's a cool it's cool to watch his leadership style like hey this i can see this working somewhere how come the entire comment section is saying ted lasso is better than foxy oh that's a guy that uh his name is foxy stinks and every time something is brought up he will say that is better than foxy that's great it's his main purpose yet you don't you know that lasso very good though yeah but ted lasso doesn't show up every single day okay that's kind of just that's dead lasso's thing is showing up every single day i know someone showed up what that's all he's shown up he is not there every single day okay belief belief belief thank you belief thank you ted the maple leaves hey are any of those guys actually good soccer players uh watching it it seemed like there was a couple guys who knew what they were doing it felt like it the anytime they do a sport it's always interesting like okay how are they going to portray this football practice football is the worst football is always the worst the pads don't fit the jerseys are gigantic and terrible and the guys aren't athletic by far i don't know roy kent was unstoppable that's one of the best clips of all time is when the [ __ ] guy is yep you know what i mean that whole thing it's hard to even throw at how the uncoordinated people that somehow end up playing most football players throw the ball it's hard to even let your body do it but you know it's not always easy you can't be incredibly attractive great at memorizing lines uh emotional empathetic and an incredible thespian and be able to throw the ball at the top that's not always something that is just easy to do you know what i mean i mean the guy who played mike winchell he could chuck the pigskin channing tatum was pretty uh believable in 22 jump street and coach carter well yeah he was like 40 years old though sure he'll do jump sure he's playing against brunswick 18 year olds well he ran good routes yeah you're right he was what six feet taller than everybody out there by the way yeah that's why the program's so good they got college players and filmed it and actually like basically just had full scrimmages and speaking of full full metal jacket that guy actual yeah sergeant rest in peace let's get to a break professional house stuff what's up arleigh ermey was that dude's name he was a legend army hammer he came in right to teach the actor what to do yeah and they said uh on how much you make but we could definitely probably triple that real quick and you just do it what a good idea by that guy by the way did he like break the actor too while he was trying to teach him how to be a drill sergeant i did not know he like he's broken this guy can't act anymore he's actually going off to war now because he's ready to go yeah that would happen i don't i know he broke him down i know there was definitely tears on that set yeah in that bathroom he broke him down and i guess apparently he wasn't allowed to even fraternize with like the rest of the cast just because they wanted him to be as authentic as possible like fresh get in there in the bathroom hey army hammer might might be able to throw a football throw a heart great rower great rower jesus you guys what he held somebody's heart in his hand he wanted to yeah yeah and beat it himself mgk allegedly has megan fox's blood on his respect it seems like there are some people that are into that super you know blood stuff [ __ ] up that's what megan wants well what's up if that's what mrs fox wants that's what mrs fox gets hey mgk is a stud dude i'm a big mgk fan good actor too it's awesome he's just got blood around his neck though i don't know maybe not for me pal covett you know what i mean he's not wearing his face like army hammer he was good in bird cooper well listen armie hammer those messages were quite alarming put your blood on me what about morbid we ever talk about morbid gumpy oh yeah dumpy went into a full you know kind of deep uh deep space in his mind almost about rest in peace to morbid's career that guy he just so happened to stay at the sea so a year before lisa lamb was in there and then he raps about murdering people very detailed uh murdering people he all of a sudden becomes guilty he gets kicked off facebook twitter everything the guy has no career anymore they kicked him off youtube he was a mexicano a mexican guy he was back in mexico what did they kick him off gumpy kicked him off youtube as well so killed his music career i mean they didn't really talk about that in the documentary could have had another episode just for morbid they railroaded them they did i mean they were just tossing in episodes why not just throw in another one for morbid in that thing do you see the cecil hotel doc you watched the whole thing i haven't seen any of it okay you're going to watch it you're going to be intrigued by it you're going to have a lot of questions and then immediately upon it's finished you're going to say oh could have been a 30 minute you know what i mean after you watch the whole thing because it's just like you know they kind of do what we have to do every day but they did it for a documentary it was like all right let's go ahead and spin up [ __ ] here let's spin up [ __ ] over here let's go ahead and go all the way into the [ __ ] here and then we'll tell you the actual facts that we knew long ago that none of that is real and we'll just kind of put it together how about morbid's video though where he's proclaiming his innocence that was a little [ __ ] suspect al-qaeda with a mask on at his pool he had a nice pull though i did not expect morbid to live that nice hotel who would have thought saying you were innocent with the mask on in a different voice didn't work out for him yeah poor morbid though i mean he did he misread the i just want everyone to know i didn't kill him he sounded like the uh the jigsaw guy i like the one i'd like to play okay when you were 12 you stole ice cream do you remember now you were in all the ice cream was this guy wearing a stinger mask no no it was a it was more like a mask no it was a it was more like a uh ski mask yeah kind of more ski mask luchador mask luchador skeleton yeah it's called the town that's sweet i did not kill him who was that was that dumping yeah a robot all right let's get this show's over see you tomorrow aj you're the man see you guys thanks everybody commenters you're the best actually sometimes you're the worst but hey i love everything about you guys foxy doesn't stink have a little respect for the guy cheers you
