I mean what better way to end this 80s Aon than talking about some underrated or maybe underappreciated 80s bands so if you guys have been enjoying all these 80s videos and 80s week number two make sure you enter the giveaway I'd love to see one of you guys get this sweet sweet 80s Axe and uh check out my new course 80s rock guitar it's 50% off this week it's all linked down below great way to support the channel and uh let's dive into this list actually before we get into that I'm curious to know what are some of your favorite underrated 880s bands this is just my personal list so I'm sure I'm missing some let me know Down Below in the comments now let's [Music] go let's start it off number 10 y andt killer guitar riffs killer solos there's still that lick that I want to learn in summertime girls maybe I'll do that maybe that'll be my goal for today but um y andt definitely underrated amazing singing guitar riffs he's got it [Music] all now number nine is one I don't hear people talk about very often it's the electric boys what was that album called funatic whatever whatever the album was called with um lips and hips man really cool stuff I mean just like real funky I mean it's very 80s but um yeah I really feel like they should be listed more because there was some great stuff on [Music] [Applause] [Music] there we got to have dangerous toys in here I don't hear people talk about dangerous toys a whole lot anymore and I always liked them they were always kind of like a little bit of a I guess heavier 8s kind of thing like a heavier Rock thing or something but dangerous toys to me should totally be on [Music] [Applause] while we're talking about danger how about danger danger the Andy Timmons band man uh now I don't think that the um naughty naughty was Andy's riff I think that was before he was in the band but uh I what's the album with Andy playing in it got amazing guitar stuff on it um I mean they were great anyways but a little bit more of that Poppy 80s kind of thing but man some cool cool stuff I mean and that riff is [Music] just it's it's just it's [Music] [Applause] awesome so I'm always going to wave the hurricane flag when Doug Aldridge was in the band I think it is some of the best if you have not heard was it called slave to the thrill reign of love all these songs I mean it's the the best the best playing the best everything check out the hurricane album with Doug Aldridge it is so so good young man ah there's so many cool rips in there in solos another one I never hear people talk about but I thought that they had really cool stuff some of their stuff was a little more bluesy Rock almost like that great white kind of vein which great white probably could have been on here too but then they had such a big hit song I I still hear it on the radio so I figured nah we'll leave great white off this one but Tor Tor I mean I heard about them through a little like DVD I think I got for Christmas one year and it had a bunch of like 80s videos on there and it was Walkin shoes of course I did the the rift to [Music] guilty it's just cool and um man I I think that the Tor came along a little too late I think they were early 9s and um yeah unfortunately that was just right before the end of the 80s and uh yeah Tor [Music] [Applause] [Music] [Applause] tor TNT man these guys were great uh that same DVD that I found out about Tor Tor I found out about TNT I just remember the music video for 10,000 lovers I I didn't necessarily love the singing on it I mean it was great it it was like classic 80s but I just remember the guitar tone and the dude's playing that white Strat he's all dressed in all white I'm like that is such a heavy I mean he's when he is that pomu [Music] um that part there man what a what a tone so uh TNT is definitely on there amazing amazing guitar work um never my favorite solos necessarily but um still some great ones and uh really like the [Music] [Applause] [Music] Rifts Firehouse despite showing up a little bit later maybe they were earlier than what I thought um I thought they were kind of like a late 80s early 90s band still had some some some big hits and everything but it was just right at the end there and I always thought Mama didn't race you know that's just [Music] a to me to me that's like very like Edy the way he's kind of doing that but um uh that's the other Lynch and uh just great great great great guitar [Music] [Applause] [Music] [Applause] [Music] playing now despite number two having one of the greatest 80s guitarist in there again they kind of like appeared a little late to the game I think is why they maybe didn't get the attention they deserved Lynch Mob Lynch Mob is right up there with my favorite 80 stuff I know Dawan was big Dawan had a lot of lot of success um I like Lynch Mob More Than Dawan especially the first two Lynch mop albums I mean Wicked sensation and then of course I'm you know I played Tangled in a web and I cannot remember the name O Logan was the first singer who was the second singer in Lynch Mob let me know I'm can't believe I'm I'm going brain dead on him um man both both Onie and him were uh amazing amazing front men so I don't know man Lynch Mob Lynch Mob Could Have Been number one for me but there's one band that is number [Music] [Applause] one [Music] number one another one that just kind of like went onto the scene a little too late I think they would have been so big if they would have maybe maybe like 84 or something like that but I think uh I think giant popped on around 88 89 something like that I can't totally remember but man Dan Huff you Know Dan Huff was in the greatest ' 80s guitarist despite his session work which you know amazing he played on everything uh giant if you are not familiar with the first three giant albums really the first two are my are my absolute favorites the third one's really good too though um man it is just the best it it is so well it just sounds really really good Dan's playing listen to like uh chained or is it Unchained I think it's called chained ch something in the Rhythm whatever whatever it is but I mean crazy guitar solo in that one uh you know and they had like the poppy hooks man it just had everything so giant is my number one underrated 80s band woo and I think that will be it guys thank you all so much for tuning in to
