The Milwaukee M12 Press Tool A Must For Every Plumber

hey guys and welcome back to plumbing parks procom today we're gonna go over tool that might be just the most important thing you have on your truck check out the video coming up next so with working in the plumbing industry from time to time you're gonna run across some water obviously so today we're going to look at a tool that's going to make your life a little easier generally the preferred method and longtime method for decades is soldering copper pipe but today they make a tool made by Milwaukee and a few other brands out there that actually presses and compresses a fitting onto copper piping and where this may come into handy is if you have issues with water and anybody that just tried to solder with water left in the piping just knows it doesn't work so you get steam pressure buildup and it doesn't want to flow the solder around that fitting so where this comes into play is you actually don't have to have the water all the way out of the piping and this will slide over compress the fitting and steal that piping a whole lot easier now I know the fittings a little bit pricier the tool is a little expensive however what you're gonna say is not having to buy the increasing price of solder flux solder brushes fitting brushes sandpaper all these items you have to buy in order to to make those solder joints so we're gonna do is we're gonna have a little unboxing and I'm going to show you how this thing works today it's the Milwaukee 24 73 m12 press tool let's open it up this is the compact tool they make an-12 and they also make an M 18 the inmate teams a little smaller a little more compact and it allows you to get in tight places so if you're putting in a shower valve roughing in a house or anything like that it's really convenient it's not real heavy and you can carry it under a house and make all those connections it's got a removable battery that works on almost all of your Milwaukee products your Milwaukie drills impacts it even works on the Horta band saws so it's very versatile just snaps in place it comes with the charger the half the three core and the one-inch crimp tool the inch and a quarter is an additional charge for that but it will crimp up to inch and a quarter piping and this will working in instances say you're working at a hotel and they've got an inch and a quarter line in the ceiling somewhere and you got ten floors of a hotel and you have to drain all that water down that could take well over an hour if you have a press tool all you got to do is cut that piping waters draining down pop your fitting over it crimp it turn the water back on so your your guests are down from water for one to two maybe even three hours trying to get this thing soldered so all you would do is pull this lever out actually you twist it up pull it out take the jaws and you've got this hole here slide it over and line it up push it twist it over and it's installing okay this will spin 180 degrees so if you've got a situation where you need it this way this way so it's very versatile once you get it in place cycle it one time so you hold the button in okay that way you know it's ready to be done okay so what we're gonna do here I've got a piece of three quarter pipe and a three quarter female adapter and all we're gonna do slide this over make sure it seats these work great on water heaters by the way one hand just open it up slide the fitting over squeeze it and the fittings done no cleaning of the pipe no solder no flux no heating the pipe up and trying to get that solder to flow it's that easy these fittings are available male adapter spinel adapters couplings 90s they even have ball valves so you can press in those ball valves or anything's you need one of the advantages they've also recently come out fittings for gas gas piping the gas fittings they actually have a yellow stamp on them and it lets you know that is a gas fitting that's the difference between the gas and the water you'll see a yellow stamp so they are approved for natural gas so running gas lines to gas loves or all throughout the house this would really make a job a whole lot quicker rather than having to black steel pipe thread in each fitting putting pipe joint compound on it running those fittings across strapping it up it's really a long process this will cut your time by 60% so it's something to look for I'm gonna put a description below about these products the fittings and if you have any questions about it give me an email info at plumbing parts procom you can also comment down below I will answer pretty quickly and if you want to see this demoed any more any any other items you want to see me put a crimp I'll do it for you here's the half inch one inch and then take you to the quarter so this is really convenient I really works really well I think you'll enjoy it thanks a lot guys for watching give me subscribe and smash that like button thanks a lot guys have a good day
