The Madrigal House is a feast for your eyes - Disney Encanto Build & Review

hello welcome i am ellie and welcome to the madrigal house this is a lego disney set which has been released to coincide with the release of said release too many times but of the disney movie and kanto this is just beautiful there are so many new things in this it's like a precursor to 2022's new stuff as well plus it's got it yeah own like brand new mini dolls so many good things in its own right ah okay all right so there are 597 pieces it's a good size and it is 80 here in australia which is not a horrendous price for a disney set so let's crack it open this is like getting a 2022 set early that's what it feels like so we have got we've got oh look at that sheet of stickers the colors are so nice there are five bags and we've got our instruction book so many colors in there okay okay but there are many dolls in here that are just worth raving over this is this is mirabelle mirabelle and i don't i haven't seen the movie so i have no idea what's going on so i'm not going to have any spoilers but look at the detail on her skirt like it's i mean it looks hand painted lego has just gone over and above in the details on these outfits her top two looks just like it does in the trailers i've seen so it looks i mean it's is it simulating embroidery it's beautiful it's really really detailed there's a bit he even goes around the back it's a bit dodgy around the neck unless she's supposed to be wearing a necklace which i don't think she is but look at that it even comes in under the arm slightly off the shoulder it's gorgeous it's absolutely so exciting and plus this is another mini doll in the nougat skin tone so that middle skin tone this is so cool her face is the face is so good as well so brand new face print and a brand new hair mold so this is a hard hair piece so it's not the rubbery ones that we see on some of the lego friends girls this is it's so so good to have these uh you know different ethnicity hairstyles so this is encanto is based in colombia i believe from what i was reading so south america and apparently it's really really captured the essence of the culture so i'm so excited to see it so we've got mirabelle this printed piece here is actually the keys on an accordion so i'm going to assume that because this accordion has been given to her that she plays the accordion and we have got another printed piece to go on the other side i think i'm putting these on the right way around with the keys like closest to the to the air bellows a bit and that actually she can hold that with that little pluggy bit on the back and i can yeah i can even look she can even stand up even though that's making her quite forward heavy so there are two other characters in here that come in different bags but i'll pinch them out first so this brand new micro doll in a brand new tone so reddish brown this is so exciting because there are lego friends have seen the lego friends images we're getting some mini dolls in this skin tone as well this is antonio he's obviously a microdoll he's he's looks older than this in the trailers but you know my thoughts on the micro dolls they're cute but they look too young but look look at this hairpiece it's got a little split in the middle like it's like a gap toothed hairpiece it is just ma chefs kiss these hair pieces are so good i hope we are going to be seeing them a lot more so two brand new hair pieces created especially for these characters plus this one like this is this is supposed to be a capybara and apart from the little nosey thing on here it's just like a recolored mouse or the hamster mold and it could have lego could have done with making it bigger because capybaras are big like they're giant guinea pigs so this doesn't really work for me but it's cute it's chispy it's cute okay and the last mini doll included in this set is mirabelle's grandma is she she's the matriarch of the family abuela and she has got some beautiful i mean she's wearing fuchsia pink outfit and the printing on there are butterflies and everything i'm assuming that butterflies are really really integral to the story this is beautiful her outfit almost looks victorian the printing on it is just top notch look at that it lines up so beautifully the lace work or the embroidery going around underneath her arms all the way it is gorgeous the outfits in these are gorgeous and so insanely detailed her face also so detailed look at all the little wrinkles there that you know character lines so it's so so nice to have some older generation mini dolls happening and she has got a gray pulled back bun now i haven't got this bun mould because it hasn't come in any of the sets that i've had so this is the first time i've seen this bun mold but it has existed before but not in grey so it's so exciting to see how detailed this is in the back all those little coils oh okay yeah this this hairpiece looks really good on a mini doll this is hollow underneath the bun there i wonder why well yeah no it doesn't matter i just wondered why okay so three characters well i suppose there's four characters if you if you if you count the capybara which i don't because it's way too small but cute anyway so moving on we are building the house the madrigal house which is just a big smash of colors together which actually work and i don't know quite how that works like how it works that they work we're going to build it we're going to find out i'm going to i'm going to analyze it as we're building and i'm not i'm just going to concentrate on building it so this sticker here goes in the kitchen and it is a fabulously stocked really cluttered kitchen shelf this is a well-loved home kitchen for a big family because i believe it's a very big family got a teapot here we've got a pot there and a wine bottle in the corner of the window i mean it's a very very small kitchen because we're not going to get a lot of space for them you know for the price that we're paying for this actual set but everything we need is going to be in it i think and this here what is this we got some like little forward-facing missile launchers i don't think so oh look turquoise studs i knew they existed i just didn't have any okay all right so it is not a missile launcher it is going to be hold on the wrong way there we go that is the front entryway maybe mate does the house have missile launchers i don't think so this is a disney movie okay so these go on either side of the door nice little yellow door framy things and this is going on the other side i love the tiles i like the alternating light yellow with the orange they're so pretty it's so they're really bright and colorful i love it okay so we've got a nice little window fledge there do we those those orangey bricks with the masonry print are they new or if i just not noticed them before now this is odd so this is actually yeah this is antonio's skin color that's so cool i do need to get out more it's so exciting though i mean lego is just just whacking it out of the park with these really awesome mini dolls now this is a big tapestry i reckon of the family tree of the madrigal family tree once again only guessing because i have not seen the movie i'm just loving the colors and the ethnicity of this build oh it's just packed filled with charm oh it is such a breath of fresh air against the traditional disney princess bills so good okay oh that turquoise door there by the way is a brand new color in this mold and this is oh i like the tiling going up so we've got some family pictures i assume here on one and this one is going on the other side more tiling going up some hats stuck down the bottom that's pretty definitely adding a lot of detail with the with the stickers all right okay and on to the next level we have got so we this is going to be where our our detachable next level is going to be but this is that's a three by three curved arch piece that's new too ah all right this is exciting all right the door looks amazing we're up to bag number two and now we are putting some roofing on some angley roofy things with these hingy things a lot of things going on and these little half round bumpy things which i've said before i really hate putting them on because they're so fairly fiddly and they're really i find them difficult to line up straight i mean they're not that hard but i still don't do a great job it's reminiscent of the the restaurant yeah the lego friends restaurant the italian restaurant that we uh that we had recently that was so cute but it also had a lot of those on the roofing as well so we've got this on the other side so yeah we're replicating what we did on the on the other side just need to make sure that i get the position of each of the colors there correct yeah that's good that looks so good these colors why do these colors work so well there's so much color going on maybe because there's lots of shades of orange and brown they all seem to be warm tones at the moment not cool colors so maybe that's why they all work so well together all right back here in the kitchen we have got brand new fork molds we've had forks before in the accessory sets uh in colors like colorful ones but now we've got silver ones like we've got silver spoons and silver forks so that is very exciting on the top we have got like the idea of a sink it's not yeah a very very small sink poor excuse for a sink but we know what it is it's there you're not gonna be able to put any bowls in there though okay and in here in the front entryway is a turquoise cylinder for a pink umbrella it is just packed full of so many good details what is this oh okay so we have got a miner's hat as the what do you call that i don't know what you call that bit but it's a gramophone so this is now like a record player a very old-fashioned record player i would never have thought to use a black miners hat for this yeah that's amazing that's a really good that's a really fun part usage okay oh well okay this is very exciting we've got lots of different colors here this is the kitchen table the family dining table which we've got different meals for different members of the family there's only places here for three uh which is fine for the fact that we only have three in this set but there are lots and lots of people who live in this house uh yeah so that's going to be interesting when we add more characters but yeah it's cute so there's a little dining area over here we're doing really well this is looking really great up here we just smooth over this put on those little jumpery bits there and then we just have got a yeah we just need some chairs for the dining table they're all the same it's going to be really pokey in there i think you're supposed to pull it out to use it i don't think there's no way you're going to be able to utilize that table in situ with those chairs but let's give it a go let's put them in where it's supposed to be all these jumper studs just scream to me though that you're supposed to take it out so let's try and shove everybody in i mean you can't even sit at the other side of the table no okay so no so that's definitely a lovely way to store them away pull it out when you want to use the dining table we're up to bag number three which is the bag that antonio comes in and his incredibly small capybara but he also gets an accessory with this turquoise once again new in this color box with a treat in it i assume for for chispy is it chispy is that how you pronounce it because i'm just going with the description that i had that i saw on the lego site this is just yeah as a gift box everything's so beautifully decorated there's just so much detail going on here is mirabelle an artist is that like her bent because there's so much artistic stuff going on in this or is it just because it's part of the colombian culture i'm really keen to see this movie so this is a bed we've got a butterfly bed spread on it again with the butterflies and it is going to be an incredibly uncomfortable bed because it's on a hinge which is a bit unfair it's not going to be the steadiest of beds which is obviously the design it is supposed to tip her out so gets her moving in the morning this is mirabelle's bedroom mirabelle's bedroom and this is going to be integrated into the wall and this according to the descriptor is the shutters or other shutters is a shutter because it's just one shutter waving so the house can wave at her this is just adorable plus you can like crack it open and let some air in near your head while you're sleeping i think that's perfect and on the bedside table is a lamp pretty sure it's lamp and this here is the best little build of a sewing machine that i have ever seen it's so good it actually looks like an antique like an older style sewing machine it looks as though you should actually be the bed is dangerous and so you should be powering it with your feet like with a treadle a really old-fashioned one like a tread pedal to power it yeah my grandma had one this is a painting or a picture or an embroidery on her wall saying hold up and we're now extending into another room with the purple flooring so mirabelle's room has got a green floor purple flooring over here is just a fabulous mishmash of a house a little side table under the window pink door frame turquoise door new in this color and this yeah this sticker is fire it's fantastic she's got to be an artist it's got to be all of this work has got to be hers it's so nice so detailed like kudos to the graphic artist for this set they've had a fabulous time making it so detailed it's really really beautiful okay on the side table there is well there's some there's a little potty thing and there's another little potty thing i don't know what the other pot thing is but this one's got some flowers in it with that that new little flower stalk thing i'm glad to see that being used a lot more more butterflies the butterflies are uh the embroidery on the sofa in the little room next door here that is a gorgeous sofa build i love it it's so good it's just all of the designs are just oozing with ethnicity it's so yeah it's beautiful okay on the outside got purple wall happening here next to the green walling bit of pink intestinal with and those little white swirly things out on the front like as window sills ah and the curlicue the curlicue fence pieces are making a really really nice look oh really ornate look for that arched window that's so it's all open it's open it's so south america's beautiful we've got extra pieces and we are up to bag number four all right okay so working back on the outside of the second level turquoise going on on a line up the top here so much color it's so beautiful it's a feast for the eyes and those little red uh hinge pieces like we had down on the bottom level to put our roof work on so we've already seen this idea going on down the bottom so we're going to zoom through this because nobody wants to see me put these little half round pieces on and you know swear internally inside my head about getting them on straight and about making sure i alternate the colors correctly and all those things that are going on very quietly inside my head yeah okay and this little corner piece goes over there it's a nice long one there lovely now we've got some foliage all the foliage in this is just so bright brand new butterfly piece in yellow my most favorite shade of yellow and it's kind of matte and it's it's different from the old butterfly pieces that we had it's it feels so nice in your hand i'm going to have to take it off and play with it later okay more okay still obsessing over the butterfly but it can't it's so pretty it's like it's concaved a little bit too it's really nice here's another one on this pink bit of foliage going up here isn't this pretty isn't this just a beautiful frame for the window and here we have got a chimney this is i mean this build for a disney princess build if you've seen the sets that are coming for pictures of the sets that are coming for 2022 this is like a world apart from those so here's our new three by three noodle piece which makes like the orange one on the outside which now makes a perfect rainbow and on the other side we've got a cloud so they can change the weather with their spinnable chimney and don't even know what chimney is i'm getting you since the excitement of this is just getting to me the colorfulness i'm making up words but wait for it brand new watering can mold it's even got a little hole in the top we could put a flower in the top it could make you could use it like as an actual flower pot as well oh wow all right so this is supposed to go here on this chair not this speck tea cup that i popped on there so brand new watering can mulch you remember the watering can that was at the top of nana nora's seaside apartment that was like a brick built one so cool to have a real one there and a lovely hanging plant as well in a purple no in a pink pot a purple plant in a pink pot i'm having some troubles with all these peas but it's just gorgeous her little a little plant room we got another one of those pole things i don't know why it's not the sort of piece you'd normally have is something spare but let's put this up on the second level and check out all those colors together they should look hideous but they don't they look amazing it's like it's a tapestry of color i want to see more builds like this hello little shutter okay so the shutter is waving at us we're going to put mirabelle over here in this window and get her to stand on the studs properly very nice now we're off to bag number five which is the last one and this is the bag that abuela came in and let's take another look at her because her outfit deserves another look it's so detailed she has also got a clock like a timepiece a timepiece accessory and this is brand new for this set and there is a second one which was very nice of lego to include because you know that's the first thing that's gonna roll under the couch or get vacuumed up so stressful when you can't find it so this is abuela's bedroom on the very top of the house lots of those lovely green colors oh coral pieces masonry coral pieces be still by being hot what are we going to use them for they look insanely good and we've got some more coral tiles for window siding and in this little window up here there's a candle to light your way home and i don't know what's going on in this room so there's a green crystal over in the corner which is obviously important to the story to abuela's part of the story and her bed spread is put that over the edge i can't bear that i'm gonna just move it up a little bit there we go the embroidery on that is lovely and gold more lime green for the wall i'm so looking forward to how this looks with all the rest when it's popped on the top and in this little alcove this important display area in her room is what i assume is some of the legend of the madrigal family how they ended up being the people that they are and having the gifts that they are so i don't know i have to find out what it is with the story but yeah it's i assume it's a tapestry of the legend okay more roofing let's get all these half roundy dudes on let's get them on straight they look good though they look really good and this is the part for the peak of the house the very tippity top and this needs a round pointy bit and then we pop it on up here and then flick that up so it's straight upright and that looks amazing look at those colors how is that like vibrant coral and the green all going to look when we turn it around to go with the rest of the house oh we're not going to find out yet i'm going to have a little look down the back first and then look at the front i mean it's just kind of a different shade to the brown the vibrant orange right vibrant coral is it can i sell that let's put some of this foliage on that's supposed to go on these front bits so we've got another one of the butterflies this time in orange though we did have butterflies in orange before but this is a new mould this goes on one side of the door and on the other side in that spot that i thought was you know the defense mechanisms of the house the fire blaster it's not it's for planned holding as it should be plans for peaceful peaceful warfare and this is a palm tree for the other side just adds that touch of perfect tropicalness it's perfect oh my gosh look at all these colors it's insane and amazing that is so good i don't even know where to look there's so much going on i'm so glad you joined me for the build of this because i mean the detail in this is insane there is a lot happening in a very small living space love that accordion a little flippers on the side in red to open the shutters and to make mirabelle fall out of her bed is this all yeah okay that is on the right place i've got some exposed studs up here that looks like i shouldn't have but yeah we're in the right place so here we go the very first of the encanto sets there are two story books that i also have and i'm looking forward to seeing they have some different characters in them but they have them in microdoll so they're incredibly cute and so collectible
