banding together we overcame our struggles and together we survived until one day a terrible beast emerged from beyond the forest but demon more fierce anything we witnessed and whatever it was it wanted us dead called it the lizard lizard' decimated everything scouring forests with an unquenchable bloodlust countless victims were burned alive by its fiery breath skewed with shards of wood their heads ripped off and used to make decorative hats for pets seeing the lizard was destined to destroy us all but amid the flames of destruction a hero rose from the ashes a hero known as hats for pets really decorative hats for pets stop interrupting not only does the wizard have pets but you're saying he decorates them using severed heads maybe it's a metaphor it's just a trivial detail that they're not like you they might be cool but at least they know when to listen to reason we've reached an agreement they're willing to let you live but only in this I'm sorry Charmander I don't know I was not expecting this to be as dramatic as it was. The ending actually got a vocal "holy fuck" from me.

The end makes Squirtle seem kind of... unlikeable? He was always a voice of reason, but now that Charmander's grown a lot and been pummeled and beaten to get his friend back, he's just waterboarding the poor lizard instead of letting him say anything. It's just very unsatisfying to watch the one thing Charmander's wanted for multiple episodes to be right in front of him after such an arduous journey... and then said thing decides to basically kill him because of a contrived misunderstanding. Considering this is the taste that will be left in our mouths for what very well could be over a year, I'm kinda disappointed.

Sorry if that was a bit negative. The rest of the episode was fantastic.

Hey, this was fucking incredible. The Geodude fight is, I'm not gonna lie, one of the best fight scenes I've seen in anime period. Mostly because of the fucking beyond amazing incorporation of the soundtrack! That was amazing! It was godlike! How did you even come up with the idea and pull off lipsyncing a piece of fight music into the movie! That was incredible!
