The Last of Us season 1 episode 9. [Music] it's James and it's JV and welcome back to the season finale series or season season finale season finale yeah it's gonna be a season season two and then I think that should be it but this is the last episode of this amazing what a journey we were like debating on even doing it we're like I didn't even do the last of us and then like it became shout outs to the viewers huge success um it was it's been doing really well on our Channel and we're getting a lot of new people a lot of new subscribers from The Last of Us reactions and then they're finding all of our movie reactions too yeah so it's been amazing so and on top of that I'm really enjoying it yeah it's like I think about it when we're not watching it yeah it's dark and sad but it's such a good show so well written yeah so well well shot and it's shot in Canada and we're Canadian and make sure you subscribe because we're gonna do a let's play is that we call it yeah yeah let's play of the game uh I I want JV to play and then I just watch she's gonna play all right so let's continue the last episode of The Journey with Joel and Ellie and The Last of Us let's go and ended off that beautiful hug right yeah and they were they were like a ski like on like a kind of escaping or like walking away the hell pregnant oh my god oh is this gonna be Ellie's origin or something like what's going on here I hear like Runners coming after her yeah whoa holy you think you're safe is far away oh we're gonna see them they're gone what was that oh I got scared and nothing oh they're still coming aren't they black no way dude no she's making noise that's only the clickers that are blind Runners oh shoot oh my God what a horrible time for this and it's so nasty when it breaks go in the bathtub or something oh and her hands all slippery now attention to detail yeah yeah that'll stop them oh this guy oh my God gotta be Ellie's mama oh my God they're breaking in the windows this is crazy you can't hear them breaking the windows yeah maybe I'm just in my ear oh the knife is that the same knife that she has oh frick are they really that strong oh Justin holy crap oh my God yeah this is probably why I don't know it's like blade you know come on bring it bring it gross definitely always Mama she's probably cut or something or bit oh shoot well that was good oh my God damn wow oh she has to cut the umbilical before yep quick quick oh my God this is crazy showing all this and then you got to get her to someone else before you turn oh man she's never gonna get to see her grow up that's so sad oh oh Ellie just like her mom oh shh this sucks a little scratch that's all it takes and it was already spreading so is that why she's immune Maybe who went through the umbilical cord so quickly I don't know yeah something to do with that maybe recreate that again somehow no but then that's just like terror terrible holy you only get like a few hours with her because you know you're gonna turn oh man that's horrifying now we know what happened to Ellie's mom the mystery of it all she's so much like her too yeah yeah fully that hurt my soul oh was that that was the voice actor for Ellie yeah no wonder she sounded so familiar I believe I think that's the voice actor for for Ellie she looks like her I'm like totally crying here I can't it's falling out I'll check after you guys let me know in the comment section was that the voice actor for Ellie I'm pretty sure it is any moms out there feeling that one hey her fireflies Marlene Marlene oh no she's gonna find Ellie's Mom all like came in through the window and uh singing yeah seeing as long as she can until it's too late oh take her she's ready she felt it going it's not your fault we would delay getting out of this yeah wow oh yeah I mean video game Ellie God you cut it before I was bit four take her with you Boston find someone to bring her up and make sure that she's safe and I want you to give her this yeah a knife her name is Ellie how long have we known each other up and then you kill me I can't kill you please please make a change so you could buy or something like say something nice before you go known each other your whole lives she's so hungry you know they're so hungry cover her ears [Music] yes Marlene is and then she gave her to fedra I don't know how much later she did but that was rough wow transition that was nice from baby to yeah growing up Ellie I found this in there Beefaroni Chef Boyardee hey Boggle yeah you know I love Boggle I've never played Boggle maybe downstairs let's play I always want to play games is it a word game yeah you shake it and then you have to write down as many words suck at that it would be good for my confidence whoop me every time then I'll play you in Street Fighter and then I'll even out yeah you want to learn how to play guitar oh yeah oh Ellie's changed since we last saw her yeah Joel's trying to like bring her back maybe she saw too much like I was trying to yeah eat her and like they're eating humans and what he was trying to do to her and what she did to him with the hatchet yeah it's so sad okay so this is what I'm thinking cut through that building to get around that stuff find a skyscraper go up in the garage time I was thinking we blast our way through that Rubble I found some dynamite in that RV back there that building find a skyscraper go up and look around I had you going didn't I it's always so scary like you're always living on you know on the edge of your seat under construction it wasn't even finished oh shoot I'm really on the edge I would not make it it's not scary stuff is scaring me more than the actual scary stuff maybe we go through that way some real video game stuff first she's all spaced out yeah yeah what's how long has it he's healed up so it's been a while it's probably a part in the video game I haven't played up to this far so the booster up I guess the ladder drop it down stay there she's off man yeah he could have seen it a lot sooner Ellie what the heck how did she see that I don't know what did she see that she she looked up and well oh it's probably a dog or something it's got to be something running away right I don't know should look out did you see that from whatever I don't know oh my gosh okay yep she would have seen that a giraffe wow wow they are so damn cool holy they're just in the wild now because the zoo's got like remember the first episode everyone was roasting me because I said a tiger you said what I said a tiger yeah seems pretty realistic I don't know now guys doesn't it so the monkeys now we see a giraffe looks really good too they're like dinosaurs they're big tongues they just regurgitated after her and then redo it yep Oh Is that real I can't even like maybe they got decipher and then just Greek e c g the background or green screen she's happy he was looking at her being happy yeah yeah don't don't take the gun down the door lock oh there's more there's so many seven I counted oh summer it's nice out man it's so cold here now yeah time has passed yeah wow good three to six months is it everything you hoped for you can't deny that for you hmm yeah that's what Joel said right didn't he say that earlier I think so episode one maybe we don't have to do this I just I want you to know that what do you mean what else are we supposed to do nothing we just go back to Tommy's we forget about the whole damn thing Joel we've been through everything I've done yeah for nothing you can't be for nothing damn all the people that have died and all the yeah you can't just give up I know you mean well I know you want to protect me you have and when we're done we'll go wherever you want Thomas sheep Ranch [Music] but there's no halfway with this is what we started yeah the giraffes are awesome too I just love them I think it was so well done I think everything that they're doing with this show is amazing but she's right she can't live her life after that you know yeah just give up and then all the things they've done the people they've killed the distance they've traveled yeah oh here's the hospital oh this sucks it's like nothing can last no Raiders or this is a federal thing no Army we had me in one just like this with Sarah no she was gone already oh wow you can talk about it now yeah that's what was wrong with you it's for this uh the guy who shot and missed second day well I gotta hand it to the army people they were way better at stitching you up than I was it was me he stitched up I was the guy who shot and missed oh oh he tried to kill himself oh holy crap after he lost Sarah wow the world was ending Sarah died and I couldn't see the point anymore simple as that I went to pull the trigger I flinched oh thank goodness still don't know why this is why yeah so Time Heals all wounds I guess it wasn't time that oh that was beautiful I'm glad that that didn't work out me too damn should probably get going yeah such a nice moment that was amazing so unlike these two to have these moments together you know oh puns you know I started the whole series with a pun we're making apocalypse like there's no tomorrow no it's topical instead of the purple grape you idiot oh shoot oh shoot oh shoot oh no no concussion grenades flashbang oh gosh what the hell it's a flashbang God damn man I'll take you to Chuck it at two people walking oh concussion damn [Music] you could have shot them yeah oh no they're gonna realize Ellie's bit remember that nice moment ruined the blood oh oh fireflies pretty hard you didn't have to smack them Patrol didn't know who you were how many times has he been knocked down now where's Ellie she wasn't here not even a scratch she's mostly worried about you you are the one person I never wanted to be in debt to oh but I owe you we all know you just take me to her I can't she's being prepped for surgery what our doctor he thinks that the cordyceps and Nelly has grown with her since birth why is she in surgery it produces a kind of chemical messenger it makes normal cordyceps think that she's cordyceps it's why she's immune he's going to remove it from her multiply the cells in a lab produce those chemical Messengers and then we can give it to everyone he thinks it could be a carriage hole cure could be it's never good for someone to go into surgery without like just talking to them first grows inside the brain it does brain surgery find someone else there is no one else we didn't tell her we didn't cause her any fear there won't be any pain no you take me to her you take me to her right now I was there when she was born almost her mother that I would save her child I promised so I do understand I'm the only one who understands I'm sorry I have no other choice I do Justin oh my God this is crazy I can't take it walking onto the highway meeting there with this pack getting this is that her knife yeah it tries anything shoot him but what about Ellie God damn that's the only way what the heck man how come you can't talk to her the only way is the killer that's it that was the only way to help to maybe find a cure to save Humanity what are you gonna do like it's what this could save the human race oh my God this is crazy he read the thing so you looked at where the surgery was what a decision man they're trying to save Humanity Joel was trying to but now you got to decide what's he gonna do he's gonna do something right I said keep walking for this holy crap it's her knife Jesus Christ there is no good guys or bad guys these guys think they are the good guys trying to save Humanity we got his backpack and he cut her knife now he's got to kill the good guys but they're trying to kill Ellie it's so freaking crazy he's killing all of them like the freaking Terminator holy crap he is like The Terminator John Wick damn so realistic how you went back I have the music playing over it oh he's running oh he's gonna shoot the guy running on get out of here oh Joel holy crap Joel oh my God it's nuts oh holy crap new gun oh this is a massacre she couldn't have thought oh my gosh Marlene must be crap in her pants it's only like 20 people [Music] you just keep switching guns Pediatric oh this is so well shot the music I can't take it hi the paintings on the wall the elephants and monkeys pediatric Ward he's gotta kill these guys too but this is like you can't enter like she's in danger if they've already cut her because he's not covered you know how did you get in here I said unhook her I won't let you take her what oh the doctor is dead that was probably the best chance we had Humanity that doctor God Joel oh my God [Music] the doctor holy that was the chance maybe they could have used some of her blood and synthesize something I don't know God damn what's like what's the plan now Joel this is so not the traditional ending to anything you've ever seen like he killed the doctor usually they get to the place it gives the blood and then they get a cure like I Am Legend you know like yeah oh shoot Marlene can't keep her safe forever he's already the doctor is dead how long until she's torn apart by infected or murdered by Raiders because she lives in a broken world that you could have saved Maybe but it isn't for you to decide for you so what would she decide do you know it she would have said yes yeah it's not too late even now it is even after what you've done we can still find a way damn Joel killed everyone what it's all right you're with me she would have give sacrificed herself yeah is he gonna kill a Marlene turns out there's a whole lot more like you people that are immune they've actually they've stopped looking for a cure break you killed Marlene too God damn Raiders attacked the hospital I barely got you out of there Meyer we'll find you some new ones on the way she knows you're lying Joel man the people are hurt yes Marlene okay I'm taking this home it's going to Tommy's oh my God holy [ __ ] man that was freaking so crazy did she put the gun down I'm gonna have to kill everyone I guess he did what's this now good oh God damn okay jeez e just come after her is it gonna end like this oh holy this is crazy it was so such a nice moment in that memory and Kelly made him better and it just went super dark what the frick Joel what Wyoming drove back so easy probably about a five hour hike but we can manage that remember to go man like like her backpack you know everything yeah but does she know yeah he's a freaking psychopath I wouldn't say it was her favorite thing she wasn't a fan of the mosquitoes and such he's talking a lot a big climber chills 30 people and be okay not to say the two of you are the same definitely different kids awesome well she was a lot more wow I want to say girly and I'm not saying that you're not girly I'm not yeah you're not she had a killer smile again not saying that you don't you know why I think she'd like you why because you're funny her pun book is gone yeah I can't even look at Joel the same way like yeah completely changed my opinion of them I was so jacked up it's crazy to kill the doctor too like yeah like Point Blank she doesn't care at all he just cares about keeping her alive but it's kind of like for him it's so selfish yeah it makes me rethink everything I thought yeah this shot's amazing but yeah like it unravels so much in Kansas City oh they're gonna show what happened to her when I got bit in the mall I wasn't on my own my best friend was there and she got bit too being a poetic and just lose our minds together and then she did and I had to her name was Riley and she was the first to die and then it was Tess and then Sam that's not on you I know look sometimes things don't work out the way we hope she's gonna blame herself or maybe that's not what's wrong with me swear to me that everything you said about the fireflies is true I swear what no man that's it it's broken forever how would she know though she knows she could tell he's lying where's my clothes you ran out of there Raiders attacked yeah right oh I can't wait for season two man holy crap that was freaking crazy ending uh unlike any show I've ever seen or movie holy crap what do you like Jewel at seeing him at the end with her walking around in that on the mountain that scene it just when I'm looking at him he just wanted to save Ellie for himself because he lost Sarah again yeah and then he found another daughter basically and he was just like you messed up I can't lose another daughter but like it's a difficult decision right like it's either at least sacrifices her life or the human race but even Ellie I think would have said like yes yes because it would have saved the planet yeah okay so like the crazy thing with that was like it's no matter what even if he comes clean like it's broken now you know yeah for sure she knows like you could tell he was lying she's like where's my clothes like what how you just Raiders attacked at this exact same moment and killed everyone and like you got out of there like that's such a lie it's a mess God damn he was like how many times have I said though like when we watched kind of like movies or shows like this and you you've said like if it was if it was Charlotte or shiny in and I'm like no I would choose them and then like to see it like it's some kind of messed up yeah like yeah yeah because I usually do that yeah and I always choose what Joel did but yeah to see it but like traditional any other show or movie really messed up to uh to see how I feel guilty of after watching that was horrible even Sarah was a guy that put his gun down and was like he still killed him killed him and it was like he you know that was that was the chance that was the chance and at least if Ellie woke up and was able to choose you know like yeah decide he took away her right to choose like her she he took away her chance to to do something yeah for like all the people that she killed and she she knows it's her fault that certain people are dead and like she would have willingly given herself and it was like man that's crazy yeah I wonder how it could have played out because she was already going under so like there was no chance for Joel to say like let her decide you know like let's leave it up to her like because they were already gonna wake up yeah they were already they just put her under yeah they weren't giving her an option yeah so like it's their fault too it's their fault for if they had just let him talk to her or maybe say like goodbye or whatever yeah and like it would have been it could have been different if they had yeah if they had a chance like if they're Firefly guards you know maybe like six of them and then Marlene was there and then Joel and Ellie and then they just talked about what's gonna happen yeah remember I think it was stupid too to only send him out with two guys yeah yeah it's obviously clearly that was but it was shocking how brutal he was like it was crazy there was a like I stopped crying guys trying to stop him and he just kept picking up new guns and he was just so like terminated like shot the doctor in the head he's like it wasn't like the doctor I was trying to like it wasn't like the doctor had like malicious intent you know like his intent was to save everyone at the sacrifice of one person like fragment who would have most likely been willing to give herself up and then yeah like I said when he was walking through the forest and he's talking about Sarah and like the the he would have liked her Pedro Pascal like that the way he's able to emote I could see that he was like crazy you know like it was selfish you know he did it for himself like so I don't lose there again I don't lose a daughter like I can't do it again like he lost his mind this is crazy yeah oh man that completely changed my outlook of Joel and then it it kind of makes makes other things make sense I think at first he had good intentions yeah when he was with um what was that girl's name test like Tess was like Tess had wanted to write the wrongs of the past so because of Tess it kind of steered roll in that direction but Joel was never that good guy he was doing it for tests and then after uh he was doing it for Ellie and then he was never doing it for Humanity he never cared about that so the viewers need to know something Bob uh they need to know if you're jealous that it's at one point I stopped seeing Justin and I started saying Joel I heard it like the second or third time and it was like when it's too far beyond something it becomes the person who's doing it not you I don't know if you felt uh if you felt that well no that's fine that's okay yeah it was too far I couldn't blame you for that yeah that wasn't my fault at all no it wasn't the clickers it wasn't anything it was Joel it's wild what a crazy twist and then there's a whole season two that they're but they probably were like let's shoot this right now this thing is so successful yeah um crying like 85 of that yeah how long was that because my face was like 40 something minutes so we we got to see um Ellie's mom at the beginning yeah she's just like her who is the voice actor of Ellie in the video game and I'm pretty positive check it out look it up I'm pretty positive that was crazy like uh to see her and then even though she drops the F-bomb it sounded like Ellie yeah yeah it was a [Music] can I just put just put a video game it down yeah there you go uh Ashley Johnson yeah it's her yeah yeah she grew up a bit but yeah it's her crazy wow so that's cool so she got to be in it and the Jewel voice actor got to be in it but that's awesome how she got to play Ellie's mom yeah it was cool that was incredible yeah they kind of looked alike that's a real I love that yeah that's cool and um so we got to see her she was just like her her of course because it's the character that she plays that she knew how to be her mom because she was she played her right swearing and stuff yeah yeah [Laughter] so that's where she got her knife from the origin of the knife make sure she gets his knife and then Joel killed Marlene yeah but before that when Joel was talking about when they're walking through the oh first of the giraffe scene was awesome yeah they shot a giraffes when Ellie was kind of out of it yeah but why why do you think Ellie was going through that because this is way after I think this is like they were getting closer to the hospital and she figured that she was gonna die for this no I don't know that's what I think but before I forget damn it I think I forgot oh Marlene okay Marlene accepted Ellie from her very best friend and kind of agreed to take care of her and then didn't well she's I believe that even when the girlfriend was asking if Ellie could come Marlene said no the girlfriend remember Marlene the girlfriend said that when they got bit they got bit together on the same day she's like I asked if you could come Marlene said yeah to another to another place no yeah but Marlene said no yeah because Marley wanted her close by yeah yeah so so I believe that Marlene took her in as a baby raised her to a certain age and then gave her up to the to fedra to train and to teach and to to be an uh officer and be safe until they figure something out I suppose yeah yeah that's about I don't know they didn't show it but that's what I think that happened okay um I guess but she was like the closest thing she had to a mom you know um and Joel's the closest thing she had to a father but uh okay and then the giraffeine was awesome yeah the giraffe scene was dope I liked episode yeah for sure that was I believe that was in the video game as well um and then we saw the scene where Joel seemed like he was healing because of Ellie they had that beautiful moment that made us cry and he was like she's like time healed all wounds and he was like listening time and he looked at her and he started crying oh my God he said she's like I'm glad you missed yeah so that from because from getting that it's like what they do on a certain other show that I won't say the name of is they make you like you know pulling you in with these characters they're bonding their like father and daughter and their healing and then they destroy you with that horrific um horror movie scene of him just murdering all the Firefly people I'm I'm glad he didn't shoot the nurses though that would have been an extra a little bit too much if he said turn around and kill them both but they're the only people who were left yeah he killed everyone everyone he left the two nurses alive it'd be funny if they pulled out a gun and imagine if they're like nurses and make like if they were real nurses and they knew how to do the surgery or whatever probably not but I mean then they'll know that Ellie's out there like technically if he doesn't want anyone to ever know he would have had to kill them yeah one guy ran off we saw a guy run away yeah I thought he was gonna shoot the guy in for the the closer guy and then take a long shot but that guy got away so they left that open more people will know I don't know the story of part two but I can't wait to watch how Ellie's gonna find out yeah word word like word of mouth or something she's gonna be angry I feel like she would have given herself up in a second because all those people that sacrificed them well holy crap that was nuts yeah do you play the game as Joel or is Ellie you play as Joel and Ellie's like with you she's like that would be a sad thing to do yeah in the game yeah yeah I don't yeah we gotta do a little let's play we'll see but you know wow I really like I don't know even after the last episode I didn't end feeling that as terrible as I do right now I know I I think I was on such a high note from like before like they got the bad guys they escaped Ellie got that guy they ended that reign of terror and then like now I'm just so upside down Joel's the bad guy and then he's crazy like he saw the craziness in his eyes he murdered everyone including Marlene who's like let me come with you even as she was shot yeah you'll just did she say let me come with you I thought she said let me let me go no let me come with you oh yeah she's like let me come like let me I thought she said let me go no she said no you'll never stop coming after us I thought that I believe she said let me come but you might be right I don't know well you want to look right now right now I gotta know oh my gosh okay before that before that oh my God okay all right we gotta know we gotta find out boom too far well then you do that little oh yeah you're right oh here let me come you were right just come after her yeah you're right that was wrong again Jesus Christ yeah I have to edit this and watch it like a couple more times no it's so dark I'm so glad you're doing this I got love is blank don't worry okay guys that was awesome uh really dark she wanted to come yeah let me come she's like she just wants to be with Ellie and protect her and he's your best friend you were right about that too wow double whammy yeah she was crying too when she knew what what had to be done yeah like she was like it's not easy but to save the entire globe or one person like if that was me and I was at 14 years old Ellie's age I had no family or nothing I'd be like yeah I'm like damn rather than live in that world yeah hell yeah yeah like go ahead man like now that I have a family it'd be a harder decision but like I'm saying if you are telling the decision though because then your girls could live you know possibly yeah sucks I have to be in the brain yeah wow great episode controversial like wow I can't wait to see the reactions on this too like I I like to watch reactions as well the internet's gonna go crazy for this guys so thank you so much all the new people yeah and please subscribe join us for
