don't drop the custom strap don't drop the custom strap hey paul davids hey mary spender how are you doing i'm starstruck is beautiful hi my name is mary spender and you are watching truth day talks and in this week's episode i visit europe's largest music store this wasn't my first time at towman and this was the second gearhead university that i've been to i was very very happy to be invited back but in this video i wanted to show you what it was like to have free reign of this music store and all the things i got up to i'm upstairs in the custom guitar room and i will show you around because some people are filming up here too [Music] that's a nice base highly centered yeah they're incredible it's heavy it plays good it sounds good i mean what like i wish harley benton had been a brand when i was young because i could begin on something like that i think look how cool that is basically tourman have done a great job with harley benton that's what we can agree on right absolutely last year i was totally overwhelmed by how many musical instruments there were in this shop so this year i made it my mission to go around and really spend time in all the different departments this store doesn't just have guitars such a great sound i love the um don't you think my life would be improved if i actually played the tenor horn or french horn there are so many in this room it's a whole different world [Music] there are pianos everywhere so [Music] the marimba is one of my favorite orchestral instruments it's so stunning although i can't actually play [Music] there really is something for every musician these violins look pretty pricey i think uh that's not locked i thought that was gonna be locked and then look at all these instruments too it's been a while since i practiced the viola but it is a bit sad to have to sing the parts that i used to be able to play um what's what's wilton viola concerto [Music] [Music] we could make videos wherever we wanted and it was really really inspiring seeing other creators at work bassists talking about bass in a room full of basses i particularly liked the studio area i am walking into a studio session that i have no idea what's going to happen in so i'm going to grab a guitar and then take it to the studio and then possibly record one of my own songs with some people you might recognize can you can you work under these conditions it was so fun [Music] the most important part of this event although you know i love gear is really the sense of community that tayman has helped create we are all independent musicians working on videos all around the world we all have completely different processes and yet we can come together and have the most fun whilst working and really just find some common ground so thanks toman i'm gonna start filming you without your permission is that all right you had a good time i've had an amazing time it's been loads of fun i'm i'm done it's been so good i'm done with your you're just done no i think i've it's been having everyone here has just been so cool and everyone's been really excited and everyone's gone that's my camera that's big content content wait we're going the wrong way this is i'm looking at this little screen right here and instead of where you're going it's the hang of it oh yeah everyone here everyone is a respecter of the hand i've been all about the hang on look who i've been hanging out with it's a good hang on it's a great hang on amazing good quality yeah like that's the first time i've ever gotten to really see you play and sing and it was just great oh there's loads of duck more hens or something oh maybe they're more hence yeah sorry i'm not uh what's the my eyesight is getting worse this is the walk up to dinner every day oh yeah oh my god you guys getting left how did you do that i don't know i would help you but instead i will film you struggle hello don't get up i'm gonna try to emerge from this thing dignified whoa that's how a canadian is born the ice creams in this cafeteria have changed my life this ice cream best best discovery better than any of the guitars i've discovered here i was joking about the ice cream kinda grew up there okay it should be safe yeah thanks for saying that i am terrified of heights it's uh definitely a fear of mine and yeah i'm just [Music] it's fine it's fine i'm fine [Applause] so to all the team at tomen the volunteers and the brands who helped get us there i just want to say a massive thank you [Applause] i also want to announce tuesday talks the podcast i finally created it i finally challenged myself to alongside these videos upload a fresh new podcast every week so i really hope you enjoyed this video if you haven't already please subscribe give this video a thumbs up and i'll see you next week [Music] oh [Music] at once
