after 14 years e's biggest hit keeping up with the kardashians is coming to an end this is freaking me out with season 19 currently airing and season 20 is the show's finale slated for 2021 the world is going to miss the weekly exploits of america's most exciting family is that for sure for sure i don't know that's what i'm trying to find out after 14 years we'll be sad to see this iconic show come to an end what's next for kim chloe courtney and the rest of the clan anything is possible according to the show's producer ryan seacrest it all started with a seven minute test film of a kardashian family barbecue inspired by reality shows like the osborne's seacrest wanted to bring a new family into the limelight the producer asked several casting directors to search for families and among them the kardashians were nominated as keeping up with the kardashian producers recall it was about 14 and a half years ago kris jenner was looking to do a show with the family seacrest looking to produce a series of his own met with jenner who was eager to begin a test film the first test for the series seacrest filming a family barbecue to see how the family interacts just help me put some of this stuff away have you ever done a chore before in your life immediately ryan seacrest knew the show would be an instant hit as the producer recalls there was yelling there was laughter there were hugs all of the ingredients to make a great show the film was immediately shared with e who after some hesitation on investing in a seven minute clip aired the show a week later and the rest is history the show gave viewers an unfiltered look into the crazy life of the kardashian clan since its inception kim chloe and courtney have all become executive producers and the storylines in recent seasons have featured the sisters much more equally the show also began to shift focus to kylie and kendall as they entered their teen years exploring the origins of kendall's modeling career kylie's legendary 16th birthday and the startup of kylie cosmetics the show quickly amassed a cult following and a series of spin-offs including chloe and lamar and courtney and kim take new york miami and the hamptons robin chyna life of kylie i am kate as well as smaller scale spin-offs like dash dolls which documents the ins and outs of malika hack and her twin sister khadijah hack mccrae as they run the kardashian's dash boutiques and chloe's extreme makeover series revenge body with chloe we also can't forget chloe's talk show cocktails with chloe the kardashian family has grown in front of millions of viewers eyes in the past 14 years everyone remembers the iconic saga of kim losing her diamond earring in the ocean on a family vacation to bora bora in season six kim's day goes from idyllic to hysteric as she loses a diamond earring while swimming in the ocean a hysterical kim mourns the loss of her earring as her family frantically searches for it what's better is courtney's iconic rebuttal to her crying sister since her infamous earring incident kim has had even more iconic moments both funny and heartfelt fans were heartbroken to see kim struggling on her marriage to chris humphries no i'm not happy you know i'm trying to see if it'll work out here and i know that it's not and rode the emotional roller coaster of kim's wedding to kanye the beautiful ceremony took place in italy and was televised to millions of fans as a two-part event the event which cost 12 million dollars was nothing short of spectacular the ceremony was beautiful and the bride and groom were glowing the couple may have had a picture-perfect ceremony but kim and kanye's married life hasn't always been easy husband kanye west has wrestled with bipolar disorder for years kim has poured out endless empathy and encouragement for her husband showing immense strength in her efforts to understand his condition and support him in his journey always trying to be as supportive as possible kim received a call during season 13 of the show that made her heart drop with a close friend of kanye's informing kim that kanye was having an episode kim who has only just arrived in new york learns of her husband's hospitalization and soon after rushed from new york to la to support him this heart-wrenching moment had audiences in tears as we cheered the couple on i am so scared and i don't know what to do today kim and kanye are going stronger than ever and have four beautiful children kanye's mental health wasn't the only struggle kim endured during her time on keeping up with the kardashians though kim being robbed in paris was news worldwide in season 13 kim gives her family an emotional play-by-play of the incident breaking down in tears watching a terrified kim recount the incident was nothing short of heart-wrenching currently kim is studying law and has registered with the california state bar to achieve her dreams kim interns at a law firm in san francisco and shows no signs of slowing down as for momager chris sources close to kris jenner speculate that she could be the next star of beverly hills housewives so perhaps the media mogul isn't quite finished with reality tv the momager is keeping quiet about her future plans and her ride-or-die boyfriend of four years cory gamble has also not given the media any updates on the couple's plans for the future currently chris manages her children's brand deals and is a major player in kylie cosmetics chris also manages a stake in kkw beauty and daughter kendall's modeling career so there's no doubt that chris will still be working hard long after the keeping up with the kardashians finale chris isn't the only kardashian who works hard and plays hard and isn't the only kardashian who needs a little beauty sleep after a stressful day of running a multi-million dollar enterprise remember when chloe woke up kim and chaos ensued the now famous scene from a 2011 episode of courtney and kim take new york kim was awoken by her sister so they can say their goodbyes before a flight needless to say kim is irate at the disruption later texting chloe to call her an evil ugly little troll from taking new york with her sisters to becoming a mom and tv producer chloe has been hard at work and continuing with tv seems a likely next step as well as spending more time with her two-year-old daughter true thompson the star has had her share of scandal and poor publicity with both lamar odin and tristan thompson cheating on her in season 16 the news broke that tristan thompson had been cheating on chloe with kylie's best friend jordan woods this hasn't discouraged chloe from a life in the public eye chloe has also ventured out into tv production starring in and producing revenge body a makeover series centered around fitness and twisted love a six-part docu-series on discovery that delves into true crime cases in 2016 chloe and business partner emma greed released her first clothing line good american which became the biggest launch in apparel history raking in 1 million dollars in its first day since then the brand has flourished under its body positive size inclusive branding and has expanded to include a swim and activewear line amassing a net worth of 12.7 million dollars as for her sister courtney has been vocal for a few years about wanting out of keeping up with the kardashian i don't feel like there's much more that i can give an issue that came to a violent head in season 18 when a fight broke out between kim and courtney courtney seems to be the only kardashian who is tired of tv and wants more privacy and time away from filming to spend with her children the show documented courtney's on-again off-again relationship with long-time partner scott disick whom she split with in 2016. courtney launched her own lifestyle brand pooch in 2019 and seems keen to continue with her brand which offers beauty products blog style recipes and a home edit with organization and styling tips throughout the show courtney has maintained her sense of humor and her commitment to her family the family is so committed to a good halloween costume that they even dressed up as each other for the season 17 finale in the funniest episode of the season courtney does a killer impression of sister kim and the entire clan switches places as hijinks ensue it's accurate it's hilarious enough said courtney chloe and kim aren't the only doting parents robb was devoted to daughter dream even before she was born in season 12 we see rob practicing his parenting with the support of scott disick who watches from the sidelines when a toddler clings to rob after a long session with crying kids scott praises rob's good-heartedness saying you're going to be a good-hearted dad like yeah you can't teach you're going to be unbelievable and we agree rob who had taken a few years off from the show to focus on his own health and parenting his three-year-old daughter dream was recently making regular appearances on the show again rob has kept his media presence on the down low in recent years but he did attend chloe's 36th birthday bash and has been spotted hanging out with tristan thompson rob isn't the only kardashian to be completely out of their element on the show with some entertaining results in another hilarious scene chris adopts a baby pig as a surprise for her daughter kylie when chris calls kylie down to the foyer to introduce the newest family member kylie is shocked and calls out both her flustered tone and her failure to identify barnyard animals had us laughing for days kylie who was 9 when the series started is now 23. in 2017 kylie was the star of a one-season spin-off show life of kylie which gave fans a rare glimpse into kylie's behind the scenes life showcasing the startup of kylie cosmetics as well as the star's friendships romances and her devotion to her fans kylie is still a public fascination with the star boasting 195 million instagram followers and counting in later seasons of keeping up with the kardashians much of the focus shifts to kendall and kylie as the girls enter adulthood and begin their own careers all eyes were on chris's youngest kids both girls have had their share of stressful situations with model kendall even having to deal with stalking during season 13 viewers get a glimpse into 21 year old kindle's private life as she recounts an incident of stalking before taking her alleged stalker to court even though this incident shocked the young star kindle has continued to flourish in her modeling career the 24 year old is now one of fashion's most sought after models working for marc jacobs chanel givenchy and dolce gabbana to name a few it's difficult to clearly foresee what the kardashians future holds but there's no doubt we'll still hear all about it by season 19 chris has nine grandchildren who may pass on the reality tv torch already we've seen courtney's eldest son 10 year old mason complete a few private interviews of his own on the show chloe's daughter two-year-old true may start her career very early with chloe teasing a potential spin-off series chloe and true take on the world a show that will feature the exploits of chloe's family with each member being pulled in a different direction will we still be able to keep up with
