there are a lot of reasons to love the hydrant water storage system it's extremely convenient but there are two things that are a little bit beyond convenience that I wanted to mention the first is that it keeps your water sterile in a typical 55 gallon water barrel in order to get the water out you have to use a siphon pump and that siphon pump may or may not be sterile depending on how you've stored it it may have mold or algae or bacteria in it and when you put that pump into your 55-gallon gallon barrel you might contaminate that water and that's not something I want to do if I've taken the time and money and expense to store water but in the hydrant water storage system you never have to open the barrels once you've put the water in you simply turn on the spout and your water comes out clean you don't have to introduce any thing unsterile into the barrel and into your water the second reason I love this system is because anyone can use it even those who are very young or those who are elderly with a typical 55 gallon water barrel my seven-year-old or five-year-old child would not be able to come down here and get water out of it he wouldn't be able to reach to get the pump into the barrel and I don't know that he would have the strength to actually pump and make this life and start working that makes me nervous I want my children to have access to water under any circumstance even if they don't have access to me with this system he can come in here simply turn the quarter turn valve and he has clean water the same would be true of my elderly grandmother she wouldn't have the strength to pump the water out and then pick up a 55 or a five gallon bucket and walk out with it nor would my seven-year-old son but both of them could come here and access water through the hydrant water rail system so there are some reasons that go beyond convenience why this system is worth investing in but I do like it simply because it's convenient sure those of us who are in good shape and have the strengths can come down here and rotate our water out of the 55 gallon water barrel we can pump it out and put it in the five-gallon bucket we could take it where we need it can come back and do that 11 times for every single barrel but the fact is most of us don't as I've worked with people over the years in their water storage systems very few people actually have full barrels often their barrels are empty or their barrels or full of water that's been there for years and years and years that wasn't treated and that very well may not be safe to drink any longer and this system solves that problem all you have to do is hook up a hose and go wash your car or hook up a hose and go water your garden very easy to rotate through this water system you can even tell your kids to take a cup come down fill it up and that's what they drink the afternoon and you're consistently rotating through your water to refill your water you simply hook in a hose turn it on and it refills it right back up for you it's extremely simple and so there's no inconvenience to overcome in keeping your water rotated and safe I highly recommend the hydrant water barrel system by tight and ready USA
