you see it hello hello we are at the market oh yes we are it's a big difference oh isn't this exciting I keep looking at this I need to like look there yeah when I do it and be like hello I know but we look so cute look how good it makes us look I know ready it's such a quality oh my God I'm gorgeous um [Applause] next week I don't know um [Music] talk to me [Music] you're my stupid friends okay thank you foreign everything that you saw in the previous Clips was filmed over like a week ago um I meant to film last week and then I just got really really busy so I sorry anyway let's address the elephant in the room I hope the quality is a million times better and everything because I'm not using my phone anymore I have my own camera which is amazing I got the Sony zv1f um it was on sale from I got it from digidirect um and it was on sale so I got it a lot cheaper than full price I think it was like 700 or something dollars um and I've just been like playing around with it I was gonna get the Canon g7x because that's what all the like YouTubers and vloggers and everything have but that one's like a lot more expensive and I actually really really love this camera like I've only used it a few times but I don't know it just seems really good quality and yeah I'm just I'm really excited that I have it I'm really happy that I have it it's something that I've had on my wish list for a long time or just a little vlogging camera on my wish list I've had it sounds sick it's because I'm slightly sick so I was gonna film last week but I had so many orders that I needed to catch up on I had my best month sales wise last month in June and I put it down to the fact that I had like a big end of financial year sale but also I slaved my life away and did that many tick tocks and I just assumed that everyone was like jumping on the website when that sale was on um while I had all those good videos going so very happy with that I had 32. online orders for all of June which is the most I've ever had for a month which might not seem like a lot to some people it's a lot to me and I've that was just yeah it was so good so good finally finished all of those orders I did have to put them on hold for a little bit because I needed to get more fabric um which comes from Perth so that took a little bit to get to me and then I had so many pieces that I had to make so I was just catching up on all of those I have one order that I need to finish today um which is the Amari mini skirt so that'll only take me like a little bit and then I'm gonna post it out and then for the rest of the day I need to do some stock counting I need to do my taxes and book in to see a tax agent alongside of my stock counting I need to figure out what I need to make I haven't been making stock for the markets for the last like month because I've been trying to catch up on orders which has been a good thing for online because I've been getting smashed with orders but it's been a bad thing for the markets because I've been running out of stock and I'm going to be honest I didn't do the weekend this weekend's Market that just went because I was just drained and I didn't have enough stuff but the weekend before that I didn't sell anything um and that was really like a kick in the guts like I wasn't too worried about it because like I had a lot of online orders so I was like it's fine like I don't have to like try makeup stock and everything but it's also not nice when you're sitting there for like seven hours and you're just having people like walk in and try on something and then leave or like just walk past so yeah I also wanted to say that just because I know there's a lot of black other small businesses out there they are probably really struggling at the moment the economy is a bit crap and um you know a lot of people's sales a lot of people aren't spending at the moment a lot of people's sales have gone down and you know it's really hard when you see other people doing really really good online but you know you never know what's actually going on behind it you can can't really tell through one video they might be showing that they've got heaps of orders but that might be from you know a certain reason like a sale like that's what all of mine were from it's like quarter to eight I love the fact that I can do this I can use my phone now because last time I had to film everything on my phone and half the time I lost oh I couldn't find half of the content I also had to edit on my phone I can't like when you're editing on it and you're doing like YouTube videos or just editing bigger videos or something it just goes across and it makes it so small and I can't see properly so I'm gonna try I'm gonna be able to edit this on my laptop at least um which would be a lot better well I have to download something to edit anyway I'm gonna get stuck into this and then hopefully later today I can also film some videos for like Tick Tock and reels because I am running out of content to post let's begin also I'm sorry about my I did just wake up I need to fix my eyebrows um hopefully this quality is good also I love the fact that I could just I'm a vlogger now [Music] thank you [Music] [Music] foreign so yeah [Music] [Music] now for the not so fun part of running a business doing taxes I'm gonna spend a little while doing this I have quite a bit to go through I haven't done my taxes for probably two or three months so there's a few that I need to get through um in there I have a heap of receipts that I need to scan as well um just yeah really get this all organized and ready to go for hopefully next week I can see a tax agent I'm gonna have to book it for that [Music] right now okay so I've actually ended up being doing taxes for the last three hours it's 1 30 now um I still have quite a lot to do I've gotten most of it done but I realized that I didn't have anything done since January so um and then I also had to contact UM my credit card because there's like fraud happening on it so I need to get that sorted out or that is sorted out they've canceled it and fixed it but I had to contact them so that took a little bit so I haven't ended up doing everything that I wanted to do today which is annoying but I'm gonna end the video today and I'll pick up tomorrow when I'm doing something more interesting than looking at my computer screen I think cutting days are one of my favorite days because it just gets me away from my sewing machines I spend hours sitting down behind them and it can get pretty jarring so having days where I spend hours upstairs cutting out pieces gives me a good balance of both it helps me not dread the process as much as I think I would if I just was stuck behind the sewing machine I think most people also don't realize how much time goes into making clothes I want to get more in depth in the future so you're making clothes is finally process some garments can take me an hour and others take me several I try to send out pieces as quickly as possible but sometimes I get held up I have problems with my machine or something just ends up taking a long time when I had all those orders last month I created about 50 garments within a week or two and it was so too many times consuming I definitely felt a bit of burnout after it and I wanted to avoid doing any work that's part of the reason I took this weekend off from doing a market so that I could not be pressured into making stock for it as much as I love my job I love running this brand it definitely can get to me I'm so grateful I get to work on my passion every day though I just need to remember to take more time for myself noise canceling headphones are the best thing since sliced bread honestly these are the they're a Sony headphone I'm not exactly sure I think it's like wh X100 or something I'm not sure um but I got them for my birthday from my boyfriend which was a very lovely but if you are a sour um and you especially if you have an overlocker I highly recommend getting noise canceling headphones because like I don't know how I coped with it it's been like three years and I was listening like I couldn't even play music through headphones sometimes or I had to put it on really really loud because you know I'd still be hearing the overlocker so I highly recommend getting noise canceling headphones because it's just so nice to not have to listen to the sound of the machine going all day long anyway it is 11 30 ish um I had a power outage this morning so I had a bit of a late start with sewing I've just been cutting patterns all morning I'm gonna try and finish the April pieces um in the next like hour or two but before I do that I'm gonna go and have some lunch because I'm getting pretty hungry um and then I'll come back finish those and then I'll start working on I cut out a bunch of cotton tree shorts so I'm gonna start working on those because they're pretty easy to do they don't take me too long and then I'm gonna go for a run this after afternoon because it's such a nice day and I have been very slack with exercising lately because I've been so busy and I enjoy it I love running I love exercising but one it's been very cold two have been sleeping in and then three I've just been bombarded with like online orders um for the last two months which I'm super happy about but it just meant that I had to kind of prioritize my time on that rather than my health and fitness I think that's all I'm going to talk about lunch now [Music] looking at your life [Music] better not be crying when it's all done it's not what it looks like it is what it is so [Music] I can't remember if I said yesterday or not but Sam and I were supposed to do a little mini shoot this morning just to do the April dresses um but she ended up working late last night so we're gonna do it tomorrow morning I slept in again this morning which I'm not happy about it frustrates me when I sleep in so because I it just puts me behind so much and I keep doing it and it's just I go to sleep late I like have trouble sleeping and then I'm so tired in the morning and I just I keep sleeping and it just irritates me I also need to go to Spotlight this morning they don't open for another like half hour um but I need to go there and get more overlooking needles because I've broken my last two so I need to get more of those trying to think if there's anything else that I need while I'm there but I can't I'm just gonna clean my overlocker and my sewing machine while I wait for spotlight to open and just maybe edit a reel or tick tock foreign okay quick intermission because I just got a package um also I know what's wrong with me I'm not sick I have hay fever because I keep sneezing and my eyes are watering I bought some shirts from new denim I wanted to get some like nice little crop tops and stuff just some like more basic pieces I love basic pieces um I got this brown one super cute and this one um I swear I had a third one as well I swear I bought a third one as well but maybe I only just got these two I'm cooking I'm so confused I'm gonna follow up on that one maybe they sent them separately but this is the top and then I also just got like a little like brown tank top as well I'm really vibing with brown at the moment that's all for this little intermission I'm gonna go back down and finish doing some sewing um and then I'm gonna make some lunch slash dinner I have to work at my other job tonight so I always kind of eat like an early dinner before then and then I'll probably pick this back up tomorrow when I'm going to the little photo shoot sort of thing that I'm doing tomorrow with Sam so let's see [Music] it's for the Vlog say hi hi [Music] [Music] wow that was a good stretch I'm back home now from this morning's like little shoot that I did with Sam um it was really nice such a beautiful morning and I love that like little spot that I take photos in um I've only been like doing it recently there um but it's just like so nice there's like rocks and everything so like you've got like different areas to use and it just looks so beautiful in the morning photos turned out really great I didn't take my proper camera and I didn't take my film camera because I didn't have any film I forgot to get it I just took all the photos on my phone so they look great though it's lunchtime now I've just eaten but I'm gonna um lose my train of thought it's lunch time now I've just eaten and I'm gonna cut out some April dresses and some April tops in the white linen I still have to do the Cotton Tree shorts in black I didn't finish those um yesterday so I need to do those today and then do those April dresses and tops as well I probably won't have any of the mocha available tomorrow um because I won't have time to make them all they do take me like a little bit to do I'm gonna get stuck into that also this is the um other top that I got from new denim it's a little bit more it looks kind of gray on camera I think foreign [Music] [Applause] [Music] ERS turned out as well from this morning I also did some on myself [Music] it's Sunday now I didn't really film anything yesterday when I was at the market so I think I just filmed a little bit of me setting up or something it was pretty quiet again most people don't come until like 10 or 11 um so like the only like period where there's like a few people kind of walking around and stuff is between 10 and 11 and yeah I didn't I still sold a few pieces but it's just been so like draining sitting there having so many people walk past or like at least be staying there for four hours before people actually start to do some shopping it's really hard being a small business owner and just having one really good week or one really good month and then the next month is just like not the best and it's really frustrating can be really hard um I know that the economy at the moment is not doing the best so obviously that's reflected in people's purchases lately but yeah it's just it's very annoying when you're trying to grow as a small business if you do get the opportunity I think definitely try and help out small businesses just try to choose more small businesses when you're shopping rather than the big businesses because we're the ones that are hitting it the hardest and feeling it the most I finished setting up all of like the launch for the April dress April dresses and the April top in mocha that's all ready to go I'm launching them at 3 P.M so in another hour and hopefully I'll get a couple of sales through there but I don't know at the moment with how things are it's hard to tell I'm hoping that I do but yeah I'm gonna FaceTime my two best friends later tonight um because we have to organize some more of our Europe trips here I am complaining about low sales and I'm going on a holiday I've worked my ass off for that though like I trust me I've saved and slaved to have enough to go on this holiday yeah we're gonna FaceTime later and talk about that and do some more bookings and stuff um and then I'm gonna try and edit this Vlog and hopefully have it posted tomorrow I need to figure out how I'm going to edit it because my computer doesn't have a movie editing software on it so I need to do that somehow anyway I hope you enjoyed this Vlog it's probably all over the place I don't even know what I filmed actually um but hopefully it's a little bit interesting and I hope that I can be doing more of these in the future probably more interesting ones hopefully it'll probably be my last one until Europe I think maybe I don't know I might I want to do like a pack with me sort of video or something like that so I'm gonna do that hopefully and then the rest will probably just be my Europe Vlogs which is in three weeks I'm going in three weeks so crazy I'm so excited anyway that's enough for now bye
