make your home smell like Epcot I'm serious [Music] Epcot Center [Music] on behalf of the Disney organization I would like to welcome you all to the opening day of Epcot Center hello there I'm the dream finder and my little purple friend here is a figment of my imagination penguin for sure you know we've traveled all over the world collecting Epcot Center [Applause] ceremonies of the New Millennium every day every night at Epcot so how was it what mission space well it was fine Epcot so we know from our guests that there's a lot to love about the current Park but we've also heard loud and clear that they want more attractions for the whole family more of their favorite stories and yes even more shade Epcot okay all the stuff accelerator the latest in space elevator design and technology today you'll have a set time with reliable information [Music] Epcot Center Epcot experimental prototype community of tomorrow no matter what you call it this park has been around since 1982 and has been since then the best place to get drunk at Disney that's just what they want you to think though all of the true Epcot fans know that it's the best park at Walt Disney World it's one of the most unique Disney parks in the entire world aside from Disney sea unlike a Disneyland style park or a Hollywood studio style park there is no other Epcot anywhere else in the world thanks a lot Euro Disneyland and at d23 in 2017 Bob chapek took the stage and announced a brand new re-envisioning retooling re-imagining of Epcot you know Walt said that Epcot would always be in the state of becoming a place that changed with the times the technology and with its guests so it was with that idea and all of our guest feedback that we began to Envision what will be the biggest transformation of any park we've ever accomplished all right I think we all get it I think everybody understands by now do we all get the picture do you kind of understand what I'm trying to say hello everybody literal professional new Epcot apologist offhand Disney here and today I figured why not talk about the 2017 Epcot overhaul the brand new phase of Epcot that we will be soon entering here in the near future when World celebration is complete what happened to it what were we promised at d23 2017 what did we not end up getting what did we end up getting just lessened a little bit and what did we get completely true to the vision we've been through Epcot as a shining Beacon of the future a permanent World's Fair we've been through abandoned 80s shopping mall Epcot in the late 2010s that was a time and now we get to enter construction land we get to enter a brand new celebration of the world around us or do we get to enter a disappointing new chapter in epcot's story who knows I certainly don't let's go [Music] over here that was weird it's never done that before anyway so I watched the d23 2019 Epcot panel so you didn't have to and here's what Bob chapac himself the former CEO of Disney performer said that Disney's aim for new Epcot was it was to make it more Disney more Timeless more family and more relevant Zach Ridley the lead imagineer behind new Epcot was even talking about what they wanted this sort of new take on Epcot to be all about and that's really what this transformation is all about I said that already our team in imagineering is creating experiences that bring these ideas to life in ways that will resonate with guests of this and every generation updating classic attraction so they connect with our Global audience and deeper more meaningful ways and transforming physical spaces throughout the park to ensure every inch of this place comes alive with imagination everything that we are doing is rooted in epcot's Legacy of authenticity and innovation and our goal is for Epcot to continue to inspire guests in meaningful ways to be a place that brings people of all ages from all over the world together to dream to explore our curiosity to discover the wonders of our world and to imagine the future that we can create together okay now that's a lot of buzzwords let's go ahead and break this down so in addition to being more Disney more Timeless more family and more relevant they wanted to update classic attractions transform spaces throughout the parks to make them come alive root it in epcot's Legacy inspire people explore the wonders of the world and imagine the future sure sure that's all well and good but updating old classic Epcot attractions that that hasn't happened yet so the very first part of this transformation was to split Epcot up into different neighborhoods instead of future world in the front in the world showcase in the back you would now have World celebration World Discovery and World nature previously occupying what was future world and of course the world showcase remaining somewhat as is in the back there it's in World celebration where some of our biggest changes will occur we are transforming this space with new experiences that connect guests to epcot's Unique DNA and most importantly to each other ah Bob and that all starts when you first enter the gates we've returned iconic elements like an updated version of epcot's original Fountain while adding Greenery to beautify the entryway and here's where I Channel my Epcot apologist side right the entrance to the park the front half of world celebration I think has is actually really really well done compared to the old leave a legacy tombstones that we used to have out there in the front now it's more open more green and especially at night it is the place you want to be to watch these shows on the front of spaceship earth the entrance of new Epcot is vastly vastly superior to what we had before the overhaul and it's actually one of the only parts of new Epcot that translated almost entirely one to one from concept to completion and some people would say the centerpiece of world celebration is spaceship earth and I guess it's the centerpiece of the whole park but the centerpiece of world celebration for me is the fountain the return of the classic 1982 Epcot Fountain especially at night the pylons is what I call them but pays tribute to the parks history while also being new and fresh for the new version of Epcot amazing work here but here's where things with World celebration begin to fall apart for lack of a better term and so we couldn't even think about an impact of the future without putting a little bit of new magic into this Epcot original the new spaceship earth will still feature great moments of human history but instead of inventions in technology we'll focus on something that binds all of humanity together storytelling ah yes the famous re-themed slash re-story telling of spaceship earth we all heard about it we were all excited for it maybe not all of us but I certainly was that was infamously canceled or at least put on hold Disney hasn't mentioned anything about it and if you didn't know Epcot is going to be the host of the Disney 100 celebration at Walt Disney World it's Disneyland over in Anaheim and it's going to be Epcot at Walt Disney World but famously they haven't said anything about the spaceship earth re theme or the Mary Poppins attraction that we'll get to a little bit later and with Epcot being the centerpiece of the Disney 100 celebration and nothing being said it makes me think that this has been canceled because if anything you think they would want a brand new bombastic take on the Park's original iconic attraction no no nothing nothing's been announced so uh this this spaceship earth story lights storytelling Adventure has been in my opinion I don't know canceled or shelved so yeah it's sad we're not getting a new space at Birth but what comes after is also very important to the spirit of new Epcot or what was going to come after now as you leave spaceship earth through a newly designed exit space you'll come to one of the most breathtaking views of any of our parks you'll look out at a completely transform Epcot with sweeping views as far as world showcase and we call this dreamer's point because Epcot encourages all of us to drink together and we thought there would be no better place to feature a new Statue of our founder Walt Disney okay okay rewind all right we know about dreamer's point and we know about the dreamer statue that we're getting it was at d23 it's gonna be there that's that's gonna happen but it's what he describes afterwards where things begin to diverge with what ended up happening now continuing your journey through World celebration you'll explore Gardens that'll pique your curiosity and give you opportunities to engage with your surroundings a wishing tree that comes to life in surprising ways we should I forgot all about the wishing tree now judging by early pieces of concept art and I'm talking about early pieces of concept art I think the wishing tree was cut very early into development you can see here we still had the Epcot festival center in World celebration no wishing tree to be found the thing that I can kind of get closest to maybe potentially seeing it being the wishing tree is if you squint here and you look at that but potentially but here if you look at this concept that was featured at the Epcot experience you can see that the wishing tree may be well was behind the festival center conveniently obscured in almost every other piece of art that I can find now I'm No gambling man but if I were I would put a hundred dollars down on the wishing tree being the first or one of the first casualties of the cutbacks to new Epcot what was it gonna be I don't know it's not happening now a story fountain that celebrates the power and music of iconic Disney storytelling now the Epcot story Fountain is really hard to find information about because whenever you search for a new Epcot fountain or Epcot Fountain concept art story Fountain it just comes up with the brand new pylons up front but it's be easy to Guess that this Fountain would be interactive and it would sort of change colors and move to the different songs that played probably just different Disney songs that played in World celebration now was it a worthy successor to the Fountain of Nations that's debatable and the Pavilion that's the pearls it features a plaza level a mid Expo level and a park that sits in the sky with a perfect vantage point for all of our new nighttime spectaculars this beautiful structure will have one of the most unique designs in any of our parks and will Fast become a new icon you don't have to rub it in Bob I mean seriously what can I say to you all about the canceled Epcot festival center that I haven't already said before it's a beautiful building that would have added so much to the skyline of Epcot and it's a great place to park at the top would have been an amazing place to go up and just get away from the crowds in the middle of the day that's why I want the Disneyland people mover to come back that's why I like the people mover over at the Magic Kingdom somewhere to just be at the parks without having to do an attraction while also you know making use of the facilities Available to You Tiki Room sort of thing you know I'm super sad this didn't end up happening I'm we're getting communicore haul which is something but communicore Hall is its own separate entity its own different Beast we gotta talk about because that is a hilarious story but man I think just this this Festival Center not happening not going through is the saddest it's my personal biggest loss from the cutbacks to new Epcot and I will always remember it in my heart maybe someday if anyone knows where the miniature is let me know I would love to get my hands on it now let's listen and as you know we're developing a Guardians of the Galaxy themed attractions that will be the first other world showcase Pavilion at Epcot not much I can say on Guardians here it turned out really well yes the pre-show did have to be you know brought down a little bit we didn't get that giant space window with rocket and Groot but overall from what I've gauged so far aside from a few wonky plot points that don't really make sense the ride itself is widely regarded as one of the best coasters at Walt Disney World if not the best coaster but we all know the real best coasters living with the land but yeah not much for me to add on the whole Cosmic rewind thing the the galaxarium is beautiful the red itself amazing and it even stayed true to the concept art for the exterior for the most part so the Epcot apologist in me says that this was a great great success space let's talk about another offering coming to World Discovery we're expanding mission space Pavilion to include a new restaurant that's going to be well out of this world space 220 is a fine dining concept for Epcot where you board an elevator in Epcot and you were taking 220 miles up into space to have a dining experience immerse you in the dining experience from the moment you step in until the moment you leave while you're dining outside the window Ships Come and Go astronauts are working and space tourism is all around you okay you know what screw the haters I love space 220 okay a little pricey sure if you're trying to to eat at space 220 on a budget maybe hit up the lounge the lounge is just as good and it's in the same big room but the food is good the atmosphere obviously is amazing and it's sort of like a spiritual successor to like space station X2 from Disneyland or Horizons it's that sort of vibe you get in space 220. even if it's just a one and done I highly recommend you check out space 220 if you ever get the chance it feels like classic Epcot so it looks like we got back to back winners good job Disney good job on this one now we previously announced that the Pavilion that once housed the wonders of life would be transformed into a place celebrate the power of play in this digital Metropolis called play Pavilion and you'll discover an interactive City bursting with experienced games and activities that connect you with your friends family and some of your favorite characters oh now the play Pavilion you all know my opinion on the play Pavilion right they announced it and I think a whole Pavilion based on the internet culture from 2018 is a very bad idea it would date itself very quickly and it seems that Disney has listened they have since gone back to the drawing board with the play Pavilion okay I have some Insider info here and I want to leak too much actually that's all I know is that they're retooling the play Pavilion to be potentially a new version or potentially an entirely different Pavilion we'll have to wait and see nothing is going on in there as of right now as far as I know there might be a couple things you know moving around some storage in there but new brand new construction new attractions new re-theming none of that's happening inside the play Pavilion or the Wonders Of Life pavilion whatever you prefer to call it as of yet I'll keep you posted though honestly out of all the things that Disney cut back on or are delayed or shelved for new Epcot I think the play Pavilion was definitely the best one it just needs something different a different theme it could still be play but maybe not emojis you know what I mean second as we announced at the start of day 23 Expo we're adding an all-new experience to World nature the Journey of water it's a lush Moana inspired exploration trail that allows guests to meet and play with magical Living Water okay so here like Guardians of the Galaxy Cosmic rewind Moana the Journey of water which would serve as sort of a thematic transition from World celebration to World nature which is where living with the land is has sort of gotten away from the whole budget Cut Thing unscathed I mean obviously there's no way to know for sure but looking at very early concept art back when the the festival center was still around you can see the Journey of water was sort of the same as it is in the new updated concept art for what we're gonna get in World celebration and you know if anything I don't know if it's the angle here or something else is at play but it might actually be bigger am I am I insane there's so much going on I'm already seeing it Epcot is going through one of the biggest transformations in its history and journey of water inspired by Moana is part of that so we have Artisans working on Rock work working on paint special effects are going in music is a huge component of the film and that will be a component of this experience as well stop stop doing copyright come on I do however find it interesting that read our imagineer friend said that water and music will interact in Journey of water does that remind you of a certain canceled Epcot fountain that we talked about earlier something to think about guests enter into the experience we really want them to be surrounded by this kind of lush Polynesian environment surrounded with of course water and a few familiar characters from the film we have probably a dozen characters that are hidden in nooks and crannies throughout the experience and within the waterways there is one very recognizable character and very present character and that's te fiti defiti and the rest of her friends will make an appearance in World Celebration by the end of this year when the rest of it opens but will soon also become a family favorite and also coming to the France Pavilion we'll be ready of course the culinary king of Paris with Remy's Ratatouille Adventure now this attraction will be situated situated in an entirely new area of the Pavilion and inside guests will shrink down to the size of Remy and then race through Gusto's famous restaurant on a wild adventure okay I'm handing another victory over to Disney on this one the France Pavilion expansion and Remy's Ratatouille Adventure are probably some of my favorite areas in the world showcase and believe me the world showcase has a lot a lot of great areas the theming outside the like the row of trees that you walk under as you get to the crepe stand before eventually making your way past the best Fountain you've ever seen into Remy's Ratatouille Adventure I think is just it's what Epcot needed I love I think every country in the world showcase should have an expansion of some sort just a little back area where you can go and relax Japan sort of has it America doesn't have it France has it now give it to some of the other ones and of course like Cosmic rewind like Moana we did end up getting essentially what looks to be a one-to-one translation from the concept art that was shown at d23 so good work on that one but this everyone is the big one okay last week we got a bit of a leak in the Disney parks Community for a proud project that was shelved or canceled for epcot's World Showcase but for this one I think we should let Bob explain [Applause] dick it's so great to have you here thank you I wouldn't be anywhere else right now we wouldn't let you be anywhere else you don't think we all love Mary Poppins uh 65 years why do you think it continues to me so much to so many people after yesterday 65 years so I'm sure by now you've guessed that we're bringing Mary Poppins to have God the United Kingdom Pavilion will be home to the first ever Mary Poppins attraction in a Disney theme park can you imagine that based on the Disney Mary Poppins film Cherry Tree Lane will soon join the UK Pavilion as an entirely new neighborhood you'll be able to step down Cherry Tree Lane past Admiral boom's home and then enter number 17 the home of the Banks family where your adventure begins now we'll share more as this project develops but we love know that you're gonna love stepping into this magical world for the first time ah the UK Pavilion home of tiny little hedge mazes stuffed Corgi plushes and of course red phone booths but not the home suspiciously of a Mary Poppins attraction now at d23 Disney really didn't give us a whole lot to go off of when they announced the Mary Poppins attraction they announced Cherry Tree Lane would be coming to the UK Pavilion but we sort of had to piece together that it was going to be in the back of the Pavilion where the Hedge Maze and the Bandstand is and we also received some leaks some patents of an indoor flat ride slash effect immersive sort of almost dark ride combination for the attraction but nobody really knew what it was going to be and over time through the pandemic and then after through reopening different references and posters to this Mary Poppins attraction were slowly removed from the Epcot experience and throughout the rest of the park Disney really didn't mention it they went out of their way to not mention the Mary Poppins attraction Disney had no comment and I'm sure that it was silently shelved at some point I like to believe believe that it was shelved but eventually we got some more leaks and now that we are well into the year 2023 almost to April nothing has been announced nothing has been teased construction hasn't even started I think it's safe to say that like the festival center this Mary Poppins attraction has been canceled okay but the recently this last week we got some new information not from Disney but from someone who who released some stuff that they probably weren't supposed to let's take a look oh there it is all right voice over time so according to this alleged concept I'm going to say that alleged you could see that the immersive flat ride idea that was sort of thrown around when they announced this Mary Poppins attraction it seems to be what was the plan like jpeg said our adventure would start by going into Cherry Tree Lane into the Banks's house and I guess we would explore the house as probably a portion of the queue before a pre-show would happen and then the house would transform or the room would transform a new we would step into the magical world of Mary Poppins either the vase or or one of Bert Strong's like from the original movie that Walt made or I guess based on this the the fireplace now a lot of reactions I saw to this league were oh thank goodness it's just a teacups right why would we oh it's like a teacup who cares Mary Poppins deserves a full e-ticket Dark Ride Like rise of the resistance why why would it just be a simple flat ride that's such a waste to which I say whoa let's dial it back a little bit here now Epcot is pretty good at accommodating guests of any height children who want to go on attractions I count seven attractions they can go on being any height you know there's no height limit you can go on it and one of those rides actually is living with the land but how many simple quick loading easy to experience flat rides exist at Epcot flat rides for those of you who don't know are attractions like the teacups like the Astro Orbiter just your really easy sort of Fairground style attractions how many of those are there at Epcot the answer is zero yes mission space does spin you around but it's a little too fast for the kids I think the past couple of years of the Disney parks have sort of conditioned everybody to expect every brand new attraction to be a hyper immersive trackless high-tech Dark Ride Like rise like runaway Railway like Toyota's Bayou Adventure not trackless but you kind of get what I'm saying I am of the simple opinion that an indoor effects heavy flat ride would have been amazing for Epcot especially at the back we've got our Guardians of the Galaxy Cosmic rewind and our Tron light cycle Run for the older audience I think the younger kids deserve something too I mean don't you I just think that everyone's so used to these brand new huge attractions coming that it's time to like realize that they can open smaller rides and it's okay although the fact where I do kind of agree with people is was teacups the right choice right we're a teacups clone from the Magic Kingdom the British love their tea all right we all know that but I think maybe wouldn't a carousel be more appropriate for Mary Poppins that's just me just thinking out loud Disney honestly I think it's kind of a good thing that Disney canceled this I in fact I'd like for them to come out and say that this has been canceled I think just putting that to bed at once and for all would be a good thing either that or like we said it's shelved or they've decided to go in a different direction all together with this attraction and they'll announce in 2027 that they're gonna actually open a Mary Poppins Dark Ride we'll see we don't know I certainly don't and really quick of course who can forget about harmonious they wield those barges in there they played the show for a while and now they're gonna wheel them right back out and the show is going to be replaced with a brand new Epcot nighttime show not Epcot forever something brand new I'm talking brand brand new and then you of course have the new Reborn Club cool Cheers Cheers we have the creation shop you have connections Cafe a bunch of cool stuff going up in World celebration and that's what I want to really sort of focus in on for this last part of the video World celebration being the the focus the center of Epcot essentially is the the part of the park that was hit the heaviest so here we go for reference this is the original piece of concept art for the pre-covered 1.0 new Epcot World celebration now at the festival center you have the creation Shopping Club cool there on the left hand side spaceship earth mawada all of it is there here is the revised concept art you notice anything new anything added recently and by recently I mean like a month ago it was announced that communicore Hall would be built as a sort of homage to the original communicore and as a Mickey and friends meet and greet and permanent Festival Center bye bye mushroom building I hardly knew ye but again look see the difference one two want to there's a whole building there that wasn't there in the original concept you know what that means you know you know what that means Disney had to do Disney walled off and tore down the entirety not just like they didn't gut it out they ripped out all of communicore West and leveled it to the ground before deciding oh wait a second we need a festival center now they had to build an entirely new building from the ground up all of that money from demolishing communicor God wasted they also comma had to split up what was previously all going to be at this Festival Center into different aspects of world celebration that's why we have communicore Hall over here for the meet and greets and the festivals but we also have communicore Gardens over here for what was going to be on on the roof of the old Festival Center so you could look out over Epcot and have a wonderful time with your family and friends and also we have the the communicore concert venue people are people are going to be able to sing now at Epcot how cool is that something new okay okay I'm being a little too harsh here okay I love the Epcot concert series and I am also getting ahead of myself in May of 2022 after seeing basically all zero progress on anything that wasn't Moana the Journey of water at dreamer's point and I guess World celebration that the back half of it Disney released these updated pieces of concept art no Dreaming Tree okay the Walt statue was still there but now we have these wonderful statues and displays that will change out for the seasons which I do love we have this while albeit very neat Epcot planter I would have preferred a fountain the found of Nations was just so iconic and I know we do have the one out front you know in front of spaceship earth but I think another one back at dreamer's Point World celebration at this point it's all just melding together would have been a good touch and yes I do realize that's like the 90th time I've showed that footage of the fountain it's the only one I have but I also love showing that Fountain and I will show it 90 times more because this Fountain is beautiful this sort of Master Plan of world celebration was also released so there you have dreamer's point you have journey of water leading us to the land in the sea you have Mickey and Friends communicor Hall communico Plaza Community Gardens is not shown even though it was announced and then of course connections and Creations right there on the right hand side and it is with this that epcot's transformation concludes that's it now you may be saying to yourself well you missed a couple of pavilions what about journey into imagination maybe there's a couple countries in the world showcase that certainly need some help and you may think that and you may be correct over here in World Discovery minus the whole play Pavilion thing which I think is for the best it sort of worked out the way they wanted it to test track space 220 and Guardians of the Galaxy all are open operating and doing well meanwhile over on the other side of the park World nature remains relatively unchanged minus Moana all of that is just essentially what we have today and what we had before it doesn't look like the land or the living Sorry the Seas got any updates at all even in this original master plan but looking at one certain attraction journey into imagination which is back in World celebration you can see that there's some Prismatic lighting packages that are there glowing inside of the imagination Pavilion which makes me think that they had a plan at some point for something I thought it would be at destination d23 last year it wasn't they faked us out with the meet and greet at d23 no updates to the imagination Pavilion are known as of yet unless it's like very deep Rumblings within imagineering but you know what Disney loves Synergy and who has a new movie in the works figment does now we don't have any sort of time frame on this we don't know what this movie's gonna look like but okay Seth Rogen Benji and Dan you are our last hopes you hear me Benji do it for the dream finder one thing I don't see a whole lot of people talking about in this old piece of concept art though is the absence of a world Showplace or former Millennium Village in between the UK and Canada World Showplace for those of you who didn't know is this sort of weird Flex space between the UK and Canada that is sort of the de facto Festival Center it would host different vendors and food stalls and performances based on what festival was going on at the time now the funny thing about the new Concepts the updated ones that we got for what we're actually going to get in new Epcot the world Showplace is just out of frame just out of view you can't quite see it I mean look at this it can't you can't see anything now I can only make out a couple pixels but what's that so no new plans for journey into imagination nothing for test track The Odyssey was the Epcot experience there for a while which was amazing and so I'm assuming it's just going to be another food stall for the festivals like it currently is no coco re theme for the grand Fiesta tour like was heavily do I want to say rumored or is that just what people want to happen you know there's a difference the land and sea Pavilion essentially stay the same and that is new Epcot so now that we've very very quickly very lightly touched upon the changes the concepts back from 2017 what ended up happening what didn't end up happening for new Epcot let's head all the way back to the very beginning of the video to just go over all of the qualities all of their main focus that they wanted new Epcot to be what were their Flagship ideas behind this new sort of take behind Epcot I say it's a sort of take because it is it's sort of it's a sort of take it's a sort of a take go back to the front of the video the beginning of the video this is what is what and how will become it's a part that will be more Disney more family more Timeless and more relevant to the millions of guests that visit us each year more Disney arguably yes Ratatouille Guardians of the Galaxy those are all IP that's Disney it is more Disney more family is where I think they start to lose us because not everybody can ride Cosmic rewind everybody can ride Ratatouille and that's fun that's great but there's nothing new coming to Nature the spaceship earth revamped for celebration was canceled but we are getting a Moana walk through experience and children Moana is very popular with their age group The the child age group so we got a grown-up ride with Guardians of the Galaxy we got an Everybody Ride with Ratatouille and we've got an everybody slash children's attraction with Moana so I'd argue it's slightly more family nut exceptionally more family but a little bit sure number three more Timeless okay now this is a very debatable point I think it's more Timeless than it was for the revamp but here's the thing it's my opinion A lot of people would say that I'm wrong some people would agree with me even this imagineer Jim Scholl says that the world celebration plans don't really feel as inviting as they should and even compares communicor Hall to a cheap shopping center is he wrong no dude was an imagineer he knows what he's talking about although if we've learned anything from this video it's that we should not take concept art at face value okay especially when it comes to the new Epcot plans I think we'll just have to wait until it opens obviously just get a feel for how the area sort of reacts and and how we feel in the area right we can't really be there until it's done and open but does it look like a cheap shopping center a little bit and I think Epcot 2.0 sort of started as a way to revitalize Epcot to make it more appropriate and more topical for years to come and as covet happened as these budget cuts happened it sort of went down a couple levels instead of being a brand new take on Epcot for every buddy for the next 45 years instead Disney just wanted to buy themselves a little bit more time until they could maybe do another new Epcot in say 10 to 15 years I think that's what they're trying to do buy themselves just a bit more time will it pay off is the question how much time did they buy themselves and what changes could be made to the land the Seas imagination test track mission space those areas that still sort of need some sort of attention to me the new Epcot overhaul is not the failure that some are making it out to be the rest of the park around celebration is actually in pretty okay shape the world showcase needs the least amount of work of any Disney park anywhere that could just stay the same forever it although at the end of the day comes down to World celebration and how well they pull off dreamers Point communicore Hall and the back side of spaceship earth the front side so far has delivered and delivered well ah wait wait a second there's a whole whole aspect outside of Epcot that also sort of inside of Epcot that I forgot to mention the Skyliner is that a part of new Epcot let me just see when this was announced would you look at that d23 2017 when they released the rest of the plans for new Epcot it might not be in the park but I'm gonna go ahead and throw it in the Skyliner was a massive great success so I guess the Skyliner settles it new Epcot is perfect any in all complaints you have are null and void because I can hop on a Skyliner and people at Disneyland cannot because the the Skyway is no more that's the lesson that's the moral of this video so what does the future of Epcot look like for now it looks like this and if the Park's track record since 1982 holds up it'll eventually Decay into an abandoned shopping mall-esque area while you walk past outdated displays and kitchen exhibits on your way to your next e-ticket Epcot will continue to be the best park due to having living with the land as part of its lineup but it will in some ways fall short it will be missing something and we'll just have to wait another 45 years for that something to be realized and potentially implemented into the park now don't take this as me hating on Epcot if Epcot is still very much my favorite Park Far and Away not even close at Walt Disney World was the overhaul a success was it a failure I personally I'm gonna wait until I see more until it's fully open until I can experience it for myself okay but I understand people saying it's a failure people saying that we were promised more because we were we were promised so that would be my production manager we were told we would get more and they left out very important pieces of epcot's history and its present to the right like figment journey into imagination nothing has been said and I don't expect anything to be said unfortunately for the time being new Epcot was a project that was affected by so many forces covid the shutdown budget cuts chapek Bob chapek chapek shifting visions of the future and shifting visions of the present play Pavilion is what we end up getting enough we shall see it's very unforeseen but I do know one thing and that is you can make your home or office smell like classic Epcot how is that well do you watch the beginning of the video this is offhand Disney you should know that the sponsor of today's video is the magic Candle Company now ask yourself this question have you ever wanted your home office kitchen what have you to smell like the loss of generations worth of classical knowledge well the magic handle company has you covered that's right right from the burning of the Library of Alexandria to a relaxing Caribbean Beach resort you too can have your house smell exactly like the Disney or Universal Parks and you can do it by going to the link in the description down below and entering code offhand at checkout to get 15 off of your entire order sorry I'm just cleansing this room making cleansing it with the gift of a Caribbean Resort we all get sad when we leave the Disney parks and can't return for upwards of three months to a year so chase away those Blues with the scent of flying over orange groves inspired by Sauron over California not the world the state of California and they have so much more than just candles they have Enchanted room sprays Enchanted hand sanitizers Enchanted bath products all themed to smell just like your favorite Resorts and attractions so like I said go to the link in the description down below use offer code offhand at checkout save yourself some money cheat this is sprayed everywhere and help out the channel while you're at it thank you to the magic Candle Company for sponsoring this video I have to go get a vacuum or something something to clean this up good it's not the candle's fault though it's not it's not the spray's fault it's it's my fault okay Tron done new Toontown at Disneyland done new Epcot we're wrapping up now Disney is your chance I know you're thinking about it I know I know someone there has a couple ideas why not throw them at the wall and see what sticks I'm just saying just saying you're finishing everything up Princess and the Frog is next year maybe 2025 will be the year of the People Mover but when those walls finally come down at the end of the year what will be waiting for us and how will people respond that is a video for a later day but at least through everything through all of the canceled Festival centers through the size down or changed World celebration through the shopping center that will soon host a Mickey meet and greet most importantly of all we will still have living with the land for the foreseeable future and with that I I'll be okay it's it's not hard to guess hello everybody and welcome to the end card for this video about all of the Epcot changes that were announced what happened to them why we didn't get them and then what happened instead if you enjoyed this video first things first make sure to go over to attractions magazine they are the ones who supplied the footage of the d23 Epcot presentation for this video very well done they were very gracious in letting me use that go over to their channel it's going to be linked in the on everything please be sure to subscribe to this channel the offhand Disney Channel and like if you did indeed like this video it's a bit longer than usual I hope that's okay also be sure to go to the link in the description to my patreon page okay that's that's its own separate unique thing but they get early access to videos episode audio and all of this all of that just for like one dollar a month one dollar a month doesn't matter most of the perks they are the ones who help keep this channel going they're the ones who keep it kicking so a big big thank you to them as well also remember that you can follow me on my other social medias on Instagram Twitter and Tick Tock if however long that stays around at offhand Disney on all of those places if you want more offhand Disney good news that's not on YouTube and that about wraps it up I I don't know I'm excited for the future of Epcot I understand why people would be upset obviously there were some Cuts but I don't know Epcot already even with the walls up is the best park at Walt Disney World when those walls come down that's just gonna be it's just it's icing on the cake for me although I am on the team that says removing the Fountain of Nations was a mistake thank you everyone so much for watching I will see you all in the next video again another big thank you to attractions magazine for helping me out with this video I
