the gospel which i preached unto you which also you have received and wherein you stand next verse by which also you are saved if you keep in memory what i preached unto you unless you have believed in vain verse 3 for i delivered unto you first of all that which i also received how that christ died for our sins according to the scriptures and that he was buried and that he rose again the third saying that because of those who said christ did not rise from the dead it's important for him to take the time to put the record straight here in the scripture and he began to talk about the eyewitness account of the resurrection because there was an eyewitness account of the incarnation so since there was eyewitness account of the incarnation he now brought the eyewitness account of the resurrection because the incarnation is as important as the resurrection and the resurrection is as important as the incarnation if there was no incarnation then of necessity there will be no resurrection and if there was incarnation without resurrection then our fate is business so both events are of very vital importance all right second peter chapter one verse number 16 for we have not followed cunningly devised fables when we made known unto you the power and coming of our lord jesus christ but where eyewitness is of his majesty the word cunning device is the word sophiso meaning intelligently crafted stories peter is saying we didn't follow stories intelligently crafted stories and what he's saying is we didn't follow commonly devised fables the word fables is the word muthus it means fanciful stories like the making of a movie like a make-believe like a well-crafted movie that is well acted that looks so real but it's just a figment of a man's imagination so peter says what we have followed is not commonly devised fables muthurs fanciful stories when we made known unto you the power and coming of our lord jesus christ so it was not a fanciful story look at first timothy chapter one verse four now that gives you two fables and endless genealogies which minister questions rather than godly edifying which is in faith he called it fables fanciful story first timothy chapter 4 verse 7 but refuse profane and all white fables and exercise themselves rather unto godliness second timothy chapter 4 verse 4 and they shall turn away their ears from the truth and shall be turned on to fables a preacher must never use myths look at titles chapter 1 verse 4 to titus my own son after the common faith grace mercy and peace from god the father and the lord jesus christ our savior next verse for this course i left in crate that now should have set things in order the things that i want in an odin elders in every city as i have appointed thee so brother paul now says a preacher must not spice up the gospel don't give the gospel effect don't try to make the message sound sweet don't try to make the gospel sound fanciful or attractive a preacher must not you know add effects to the message the message on its own has all it requires to save all it requires to heal and all it requires to build a believer it doesn't have to be to sound nice that is why it's difficult to substantiate the use of drama in the preaching of the gospel because drama is a make believe and it's very difficult you know to substantiate why we should act drama that's why we don't add dramas in this church because our gospel is not a make belief our gospel is the truth we are not acting something we are not trying to create an impression what we have is a message and that message is the power of god i didn't hear a powerful amen so when it comes to the truth of the gospel you cannot create a myth from it you can't try to make it look nice and trying to make it look beautiful or trying to make the gospel look funny or trying to make the gospel sound entertaining we don't need any of those adhesions we don't need them at all the gospel is not what you have to create an effect for and the same goes for singing we don't have to make a song sound nice entertaining and attractive no the song should be a reflection of the message the message on its own is enough the message on his own is the power of god unto salvation it doesn't have to sound nice it doesn't have to look attractive it has all it requires within itself to deliver the goodness of god to mankind can i hear powerful amen yes so we must focus on the message so brother peter says in second peter 1 16 we have not followed commonly devised fables when we made known unto you the power and coming of our lord jesus christ but we're eyewitnesses of his majesty we were eyewitnesses of his majesty is the greek word a prophetess it's e-p-o-p-e-t-e-s it means we experienced it or we are eyewitness means it was experiential we saw it live we were there we saw everything then it now says we are eyewitnesses of this majesty the word majesty means magnificent glory two words come in together is the word mega and the word loyalties m e g a l e i o t e s means something that is magnificent something that shines out it shines out that you can see its effect we are eyewitnesses of his majesty something that shines out you can see its effect you see the use of that word in luke chapter 9 verse 43 and they were all amazed at the mighty power of god but while they wondered the word wondered everyone at all things with jesus did he said unto his disciples while they wandered mighty power look at another place it is used in acts 19 27 so that not only this our craft is in danger to be set at not but also that the temple of the great goddess diana should be despised and her magnificence should be destroyed magnificent is the same word for majesty something you see the glory something you're not just imagining something you can see clearly this is the glory not imaginative real glory magnificence that word is from another greek word megalos it's m e g a l e a i o s it means wonderful works magnificent all right wonderful works or the word majesty look at the use of that word in acts chapter 2 verse 11 creates an arabians we do hear them speak in our tongues the wonderful works of god that word is also used by greek scholars for creation like when you see the sun you know setting the sun going down or the sun setting you see the beauty you see the wonder you see the magnificence so greek scholars use that word to describe real things that we see like the sun or the moon in his beauty in his glory all right magnificence so brother peter says we saw him in his majesty we saw it clearly not that we imagined it was what we saw with our eyes peter was saying it is evident glory that is his glory was supernatural we saw his magnificent in second peter chapter 1 verse 17 for he received from god the father honor and glory when there came such a voice to him from the excellent glory this is my beloved son in whom i am well pleased two times excellent glory same word he says from the excellent glory the same word with majesty all right excellent glory that word excellent glory is splendor or power is the greek word megalo purpose is spelled as m e g a l o p r a p a s the splendor of power you know excellent glory the magnificence of it it's not talking of a makeup here what they're actually saying we saw jesus physically we saw him what we're talking about is what we saw tangibly not what we imagined not what we felt what we saw and that experience brother peter was enumerating here in second peter is the experience of matthew chapter 17 verse 5 while he speak behold a bright cloud overshadowed them and behold a voice out of the cloud which said this is my beloved son in whom i am well pleased hear him in whom i am well pleased is the word you the q it's e-u-d-o-k-e-o ud-q the word the q means to appear the word you eu means an apparently seen well to appear you the kill so jesus by that description becomes the proper image of god the proper image of god the proper image of god you will see the confirmation in matthew 3 17 and lo a voice from heaven saying this is my beloved son in whom i am well pleased mark 1 11 see another confirmation and there came a voice from heaven saying thou art my beloved son in whom i am well pleased you see another one there in luke 3 22. and the holy ghost ascended in a bodily shape like a dove upon him and a voice came from heaven which said thou art my beloved son indeed i am well pleased all of these are eyewitness accounts of what all of them saw similar to matthew 75 but the difference is in matthew 17 5 he said hear ye him my beloved son hear he him all the prophets of the old testament all of them concluded that everybody must listen to him in fact moses in acts 3 22 for moses truly said unto the fathers a prophet shall the lord your god raise up unto you of your brethren like unto me him shall you hear in all things whatsoever he shall say unto you him shall you hear in all things hear he him the father's voice said he him and all the prophets of the old testament said him you must hear if i look at verse 23 in verse 23 moses says and it shall come to pass that every soul which will not hear that prophet shall be destroyed from among the people everybody must hear jesus what moses was saying is if i taught you something and jesus says anything contrary to what i taught throw my own away hear him his words are final we are messengers we are prophets he is not in our class he is the message we are communicating he is the revelation of god he didn't come to reveal god he is god revealed he is the accurate exact he is the perfect imprint he is kabato belitana he is the accurate exact expression of the father he is the complete revelation of god in human flesh so jesus is the expression of god he is not an addiction but the totality of god when i read the four gospels i'm not reading fables i'm reading a revelation containing the four gospels as a revelation of the character of god contained in the four gospels matthew mark luke and john is the character of god revealed is a revelation of a demonstration of god's character matthew mark luke and john is an account of the revelation of the demonstration of god's character because jesus is the embodiment of god expressed in humanity he is the embodiment the totality of god not just an addiction he is the totality he is the comprehensive character of god unveiled or demonstrated in the four gospels so the four gospels carries the eyewitness account of the revelation of god's character manifested in a personality called jesus christ in other words in the life of jesus comes to us the character of god peter said we were eyewitnesses of his majesty in other words whatever i see as repeatable acts about god and not new facts about god that she said whatever jesus did was not a new act of god it was a discovered act of god because that was not the first time it was done it has always been done but this time around more accurately in a person that we can use as reference they are not new acts of god there is nothing new about what god does is what he has always done that he does that he will always do the same yesterday today and forever consistently constantly constantly the same he never changes can i hear powerfully man so there are reputable facts about god from his birth to when he was delivered by the midwives to when he was born to when he grew up all of those were reputable facts about god reputable facts about god please pay attention that is to say the way he was born was a lesson in itself the family he was born into is a lesson in itself the way he responded to people while he walked the face of the earth is a lesson in itself the way he spoke and accepted to be baptized by john the baptist shows his graciousness graciousness born in a manger is his graciousness you know in a very humble family joseph and mary are not the richest they were not even rich or just a young boy and a young girl about to start life why would jesus not be born in the house of herod or one of the big guys that's how gracious he is that's how gracious he is that in himself is instructive grew up in a humble home went to a cabinetry workshop shows how gracious god is that's how gracious is contrary to what some of us think that the only people that god think are important that people that have money that is stupid that's stupid thinking foolish thinking or foolish galatians okay god is so gracious he can meet you anywhere in the gutter he will come in there roll his sleeves and clean you out bring you out and set you on your feet what a good god we serve i told somebody we shout hallelujah yeah he will meet you in the in the hospital where the doctors have messed you up they have operated on you opened you up don't know what to do you know you're breathing struggling to survive your legs are scattered hanging in the air nobody knows what to do everybody is frustrated god walks in there puts his hand on your head two days after you walk out of the hospital as if you are not the one there that's how gracious our god is he heals the sick he sets the captives free he meets people at the point of their need i have news for you he lives on your inside hallelujah so when brother paul says let this man be in you which was also in christ jesus he was talking about the graciousness of god that god became a man the glory of god was his graciousness towards man so we are reading through the facts of the gospel not fables not crafty story not figments of imagination this is the reality of god in humanity so whatever they said was true through facts facts we look at and say that's actually god in a man you know they call him a friend of sinners he was always hanging out with sinners one time they asked him why are you hanging out with sinners he said i didn't come for the righteous these are the guys i came for i came to call the sinners and if you are righteous you don't need me it is only the sick that needs a physician only a sinner needs a savior and if you are not a sinner you don't need me so why will i come to you that are not seen as i'm looking for sinners the graciousness of god the graciousness of god hallelujah i said hallelujah john said we beheld his glory as the glory of the begotten of the father full of grace and truth the incarnation reflects to us what the indwelling of the spirit will be like what we see in the incarnation was a reflection of what the holy ghost coming to live in us will be like a reflection i see christ in me as he is so are we how is he gracious how is he full of glory and grace how is he full of majesty how is he he is full of excellent glory what are all those adjectives i just mentioned they are a display of his graciousness and as he is so am i how am i gracious how am i full of his glory and grace full of majesty don't forget it's of his glory that we all have received grace so his grace has come on our inside so we too are gracious because somebody shouted hallelujah so they saw what jesus did let's look at matthew 8 16 when the evil was come they brought unto him many that were possessed with devils and he cast out the spirits with his word and healed some that we are sick what does your bible say he healed all all that we are sick he healed all not some every sick person has a right to healing every i don't care where you are i don't care what the diagnosis are every sick person has a right to health that is god's grace look at verse 17 that it might be fulfilled which are spoken by as a prophet saying himself took our infirmities and brought our sicknesses he healed all that we are sick luke chapter 5 verse 15 but so much the more when there is fame abroad of him and great maldives came together to hear and to be healed they came to do what what are you doing now you're hearing and what follows hearing healing no dance matters they came to here and to be healed once people can sit down and give their time to hear the word of god healing will follow the reason why people don't get healed is because they don't pay attention to the right words how possible are right words they don't listen to right words you're a seeker you're watching nicklady on you're sick and you're watching scientific fiction and you will die with the sickness because that's not what you need for healing you don't need all of those make beliefs you need to settle down let the word of god which is god's medicine saturate your body till the word of god overwhelms the sickness when the word overwhelms the sickness the sickness will find its way out what you need is to pay attention and don't forget you don't pay attention to the word when you are sick you pay attention before you are sick you don't prepare for battle on the day of battle you prepare long ahead that means you must constantly pay attention to the word of god you're sick and you're watching the world you will follow them and become a movie you follow them that's not what you need you need to pay attention to the world out of the abundance of the heart the mouth speaks and you shall have what you say what you put in you bring out garbage in uh what are you putting in is what will come out no wonder you go around saying this my sickness has taken long it's like it doesn't want to go i have to start preparing to live with it yes why won't you live with it you'll be watching you live with it together with you you pay attention to the world the word of god is god's medicine they're alive to those who find them and hell to all their flesh no man that is in battle plays with civilian affairs you can't afford it it's too expensive you need to pay attention to the word of god more than anything else sickness and disease don't go on vacation when they hit the body they walk 247 so you must listen to the world 247 because that's the only way the word of god can overwhelm that infirmity and kick it out of your body they came to hear and to be healed by him of their infirmities acts 2 22 you men of israel hear these words jesus of nazareth a man approved of god among you how by miracles and wonders and signs somebody shot very loud i believe in miracles wonders and signs say i believe in it say right on my inside are miracles wonders and signs and i believe in it can i hear good amen which god did by him in the midst of you as you yourselves also know his miracle signs and wonders were not imaginative they were what people experienced as you yourselves also know you know you know acts 10 38 let me even start from 37 in the house of cornelius that word i say you know which was published throughout all judea and began from galilee after the baptism which john preached next verse how god anointed jesus of nazareth with the holy ghost and with power who went about doing good and healing some that were oppressed how many did he heal all god wants everybody well when about healing all that were oppressed of the devil for god was with him acts 26 26 paul before agrippa for the king knoweth of these things before whom also i speak freely for i am persuaded that none of these things are hidden from him for this thing was not done in a corner it was not done in a corner the word corner is a greek word gonia it means it was not done in a hidden place it was done where everybody could see it corner is something inside or something not obvious but even though it's not obvious it is there you know something can be there but it's not obvious that's why jesus is called the cornerstone that means jesus is there even though he's not making noise but he's there as a cornerstone his graciousness his glory has to do with his miracles the miracles of jesus is a display of his glory a display of his glory he healed all but those who like him and those who dislike him he healed all of them and jesus healed them all praise god john 14 12. verily verily i say unto you he that delivered on me the words that i do shall it also and greater than this shall he do because i go on to my father he that believes on me the works that i do shall he do also somebody sell me very loud i'm a believer in jesus i heal the sick say it again i heal the sick i walk signs oneness and miracles i'm a believer in jesus i am in him he is in me can i get powerful amen then look at the next verse verse 13 analysis and whatsoever you shall ask in my name demand in my name that will i do that the father may be glorified in the song what gives the father glory in the song healing the sick when the sick are healed the father gets the glory healing of the sick is the glory and grace of god so the healing of the sick is a pointer to the forgiveness of sins you cannot preach forgiveness of sins and deny healing jesus is visible in his resurrection he is alive and well very visible john 14 20 at that day when is that day today you shall know glory to god you shall know that i am in my father and he in me and i in you how many of you know that since jesus rose from the dead he has never left you know that i've taught you that right he has never left when he rose from the dead what did he say i will never leave no forsake you i will never never what is never never never i will never i will never leave nor forsake you what was the dream of god from the beginning i will leave in you i will walk in you i will be your god you will be my sons and daughters he has never left a married to jesus satan leave me alone my husband is coming from where my husband is single ladies that created us all i'm married to jesus satan leave me alone i'm married to jesus satan leave me alone my husband is coming to take me away to coming back again where is jesus so where is he coming from well what theologians call the second coming of christ or the parousia of christ is actually an appearance it's an appearance it's not a coming let me give you a few scriptures quickly titus chapter 2 verse 13 looking for that blessed hope for what that blessed hope and the glorious appearing underline the word appearing the glorious appearing of the great god and our savior jesus christ what we call the second coming is actually an appearance is a parusha or aphenorosis or an apocalypse looking for that blessed hope and the glorious appearing not the glorious coming the glorious appearing of the great god and our savior that's what we're looking for his appearance second timothy chapter four verse one i charged it there for before god and the lord jesus christ who shall judge the quick and the dead at his appearing at his word he will judge the quick and the dead at his appearing colossians 3 4 when christ who is our life shall appear then shall you also appear with him in glory when he shall appear we and him shall appear it's not coming we are coming together we shall appear are you still reading your bible say jesus is coming from where i will never leave not forsake you honey remember that's what we're dealing with in the devotional this morning when jesus says let not your heart be troubled you believe in god believe also in me in my father's house are many mansions if you are not sure i would have told you i go to prepare a place for you and when i prepare the place i will come and receive it to myself that where i am there you may be that come on talk to me that where i am so wherever jesus is that's where you're supposed to be after resurrection the government was dead burial resurrection all right the coming is to live inside you when he was born in the incarnation he was emmanuel god with us when he died and rose from the dead he came into us so god with us came into us we and him shall come out in our full glory it is called the catching away when mortality shall put on immortality it's an appearance not a coming see remove your religious cup quickly if you have one throw away those religious glasses he's gonna appear appear from where appear from inside when christ who is our life shall appear we shall appear with him now pay attention look at the book of first john chapter 3 verse 2 beloved now are we the sons of god and it does not yet appear it does not yet appear what we shall be but we know that when it shall appear we shall be like him when he shall what appear we shall be like him for we shall see him as he is when he shall appear we shall be like him we shall be like him all right second timothy 4 8 henceforth there is little for me a crown of righteousness which the lord the righteous judge shall give near that daddy and not to me only but unto all them also that love is appearing that love is what appearing so it's going to be an appearance a phenomenon an appearance appearance from where from inside us he lives in us it's gonna be an appearance and in that appearance there will be a quickening where this body will be swallowed for the other body to manifest so that we and jesus will appear in glory in our glorified status in our glorified bodies mortality swallowed by immortality teaching good i give you another scripture first corinthians 15 54 pay attention so when this corruptable somebody said corruptable somebody said oh dr damina if god doesn't want us to be sick why am i sick why am i sick corruptable you are wearing a corruptable body and as long as this body is corruptable it will have tendencies of getting sick that's why it is corruptible that's why it is what so stop looking for why you are sick don't be looking for why jesus never explained why people are sick you only heal them one time they even asked him this guy bomb blind who is responsible he said leave that side leave that side let's heal him what matters here is we heal him stop trying to find out who is behind this which charm which village arrow one woman said a man of god please i want you to pray for me i said what for principalities whatsoever is born of god are you born of god overcome it cancer can work in your body ulcer can work in your body high blood pressure cannot survive your body sugar diabetes cannot survive your body your body is the temple of the as i'm speaking now whatever does not look like jesus passed out of your body somebody shut my body is brought to the price say it four times three there is healing what matters there is healing so when this corruptible shall have put on incorruption and this mortal shall have put on somebody says say putin on he said putin on shall have put on immortality then shall be brought to pass a saying that is written that is swallowed up in victory death is swallowed up somebody said no on that day we shall be flying flying to here are you a bed
