this program is brought to you by the partners of a rude awakening international help others find truth support a rude awakening international today the pen is indeed mightier than the sword especially when it comes to the fascinating history of the hebrew gospels author and historian miles jones takes you on a journey through the ages detailing how messianic scribes risked their lives to preserve the original hebrew manuscripts of the new testament apostles it's coming up next because it's the end of the sixth day the sun is set and this is shabbat night live [Music] as they take this message out into the world [Music] shabbat shalom torah fans welcome to shabbat night live with michael rood a very good friend of ours miles jones is joining us today with some really interesting information about the origins of the hebrew gospels i was amazed when he first told me about this and you will be too so stay tuned for that but first we are on the fourth and final shabbat of the month of mar hashvon on the astronomically and agriculturally corrected biblical hebrew calendar there you see it on your screen there and let's talk more about what is going on this month with our partner services and ministry development guru david robinson welcome welcome good to be here well so uh the hebrew gospels uh these this is something we've talked about for a while now this is the concept or the reality really that the gospels were not originally written in uh in greek but they were in hebrew and now miles jones is bringing this incredible information that uh some of the manuscripts uh were actually get this they were brought out from india they were found in india that that uh some of the apostles had brought over there it's not some legend he's actually able to authenticate this and find out for real that yes the hebrew gospels have always been hebrew and they've always been like we were talking about before we got on is they were people would put their lives on the line to hide these and to pass them off in the night or so forth just to preserve them yeah it's almost like a secret society on the right side of things on the good side of things exactly but yeah they've preserved this over the years and now he's finding these things from india and he'll he'll just he'll tell us tonight where where he discovered these from uh it's universities have these just like the vatican has basements full of this kind of stuff he's now finding that these older universities in europe cambridge university are that's where they're found in a lot of these documents incredible isn't it yeah so that's where all the stuff is being found it's amazing it's really exciting i mean just the timing of everything look at what we're going through in this wonderful nation of ours you know and just how we always have we have to remind ourselves that yahoo is in control no matter what we see with our eyes but we base everything we believe on what is unseen right it's unseen as eternal so it's just really exciting and speaking of unseen a lot of the unseen heroes here at uh rude awakening are our ambassador club members these are the folks who donate at least a hundred dollars a month to keep us going and we really depend on them they are like uh the people who just keep things going here right and uh we have a letter from one of those ambassador club members today her name is uh april and uh there's a connection here that yeah you just read this just before the cameras came out and said hey i know this person is from uh tell us where you know she actually uh is a part of uh when i was at freedom hill uh is a part of the satellite church freedom hill in kansas city oh really i don't know if she still is but yeah i've actually done ministry with uh street ministry in kansas city in the inner streets uh inner city with uh her husband her and her husband oh wow yeah it's crazy what did what did it let's see what she says testimony all right so love this hi thank you all for such a warm heart welcome to this online community i wanted to introduce myself i'm a mom of three my oldest daughter stephanie is 21 at arizona state university studying film writing and production my middle child skyler is turning 18 and an aspiring voice actor my youngest is five and loves paul patrol i am a wife or a loving husband of nine years now he has won the one who introduced me to rude's ministry we lived in phoenix arizona at the time and michael came to town for a pop-up event for this for his book at the time i was uh a wiccan so wow i had been since a child but meeting michael in person gave me such a rush for truth and knowledge that it led me down a road i never expected reborn where i see the world through an uh entirely different lens and greater understanding of what's going on around me so thank you for accepting me into your community i look forward to getting to know each of you wonderful and that's from april that's from april now you handle the uh ambassador club will you oversee the ambassador club members and how can someone become an ambassador club member well just just call into the ministry uh angie overseas uh and most of you probably know her you've seen her on tv before uh just call and ask for angie and she'll be able to help you with that if she's unavailable we have other people that will be able to help you with that or you can go online and you can go onto the website and you can join there we'd love to have you yeah we really appreciate our ambassador club members because like i said they keep things going every month this is we we really appreciate it because you know we may have things happen at this time of year or that time of year whatever but but we need support all year long to keep this thing going yeah and that's what people do yeah they they are incredible i mean they so believe in the message of this ministry and getting it out and they understand you know what goes into uh the productions that we do and so forth and so they're just standing right there with us and it's not just financial it is the prayer support that is that is that's what's most important and and we know that from uh you know just conversations with with them that they stand with us in prayer and they they send in emails and go hey we're praying for you guys this is what we're praying for uh sometimes we get prophetic words through our ambassadors yeah so it's just really a neat community and uh and they're just going over and beyond now something our ambassador club uh member april mentioned here was her focus that her focus changed in her life and i just want to bring that into what is this month's love gift from bill cloud it's a it's a teaching called focus and this is a wonderful teaching about regardless of what like you mentioned regardless what happens in our country and politics and all the rest of it and regardless what's happening around the world we need to keep our focus on yahoo because that is what is constant that's right and so that is what uh he is teaching on this month and you have actually uh procured the the gifts that we are giving with that so with a love gift of 50 or more you'll get the focus teaching and for a gift of 100 or more we have this uh umbrella uh what's what's with the umbrella where did you find this thing uh actually yeah our production manager she uh just came up with the idea and goes what about an umbrella i'm like you know what i really like that idea so i just went on this journey of uh with manufacturers looking for one uh and we found a really nice one uh very high quality and uh have the name on it so again a great conversation piece right because that has the name of yahoo and uh a verse from acts on there that you'll see there and yeah and i cannot remember what the verse is but it talks about rain from the earth or you know but uh rain to the earth or something yeah showers of blessings showers of blessings that's what it is so uh yes but the you know the name being on there and we have a lot of people write in all the time talking about the handbags we've had and so forth uh that that has caused and opened a conversation with people asking questions and that's what this is all about speaking of asking questions that brings me to the the 300 level gift which is a menorah a beautiful modern looking really fma say cool menorah very cool very industrial yeah contemporary uh yes a very nice manure and that'd be great to have for hanukkah because it's not a hanakia that's right it's a seven branch menorah right and so that's when people come over to your place and say why do you have a seven branch isn't it supposed to be nine branches no that's because it is supposed to be a seven branch menorah that's what the true menorah is there is no nine branch thing that's all a legend and yeah it's all tradition you can teach them the truth about that so that is our love gift for this month and also uh speaking of uh focus uh michael has written uh something he has in the newsletter about focusing on what he finds to be really important during his time uh of healing during his stroke i'm still praying for michael i pray that you are as well and you can find that in our october newsletter our november newsletter part of them uh you'll see this uh this is what michael relayed to uh ted clayton our ceo and ted wrote this on behalf of michael but this is what michael wanted to convey to you uh about what he's going through right now and how he's being encouraged by your prayers and your support so we just want to say thank you to you for that thanks for joining us today david great to be here all right well the panda is indeed mightier than the sword especially when it comes to the fascinating history of the hebrew gospels and author and historian miles jones takes you on a journey through the ages to examine examine that is a secret society of messianic scribes guardians of the hebrew gospels is next [Music] fear doubt disappointment discouragement and anger these are all results of focusing on the wrong purpose if we want to see something restored we have a responsibility as believers to turn back to yahweh and focus on his purposes in times like these we need to ask ourselves which side will you focus on it seems to me that if we are living in the days that yeshua described then the time has come for there to be a people unlike anything the world has ever seen or we'll ever see it again michael rood welcomes bill cloud dot tv [Music] on the morning that the passover lambs were selected there were two loaves that were put on the wall of the temple when the first one was removed after that no more leavened bread was eaten when the second loaf was removed then all of the leavened bread in the land of israel was then burned because the feast of unleavened bread was going to commence at sunset that evening the night before yeshua took artos he took leaven bread and he blessed the most high in the presence of his disciples and he interpreted the kadosh mikra the holy rehearsal that melchizedek put in place with avraham yeshua said the prayer of the malek zodiac baruch blessed are you o lord our god yahuwah our god king of the universe who brings forth bread from the earth and he said this represents my body which is now broken for you as often as you do this do this in remembrance of me then yeshua took the cup and he said baruch yehovah eloheinu malika alam baray pre-hagophen blessed are you yahwah our god the king of the universe creator of the fruit of the vine and then he said you take my cup divide it among yourselves i will not drink a sip of the fruit of the vine till i drink it with you in my father's kingdom so as often as we do this now we rehearse not only his death but we rehearse that we will be at the marriage supper of the lamb and at the marriage supper of the lamb he will take his cup and say laheim to life everlasting and until then shabbat shalom [Music] [Music] in the 1800s the apocrypha was taken out of your bible i still have one at home not a bible from the 1800s i have a bible called the jerusalem bible but it still has the apocrypha in it but most bibles do not now in 1611 there was the first publication of the king james version of the bible and most of us know that well that's when the first english bible came about or did it and before then well how did it come to be in english do any of us really know for sure i mean we know that most of it came from greek or at least we assumed so we knew that the old testament was in hebrew in the new testament it wasn't greek was it really well let's straighten this out with hebrew linguist dr miles jones dr miles jones welcome to shabbat night live glad to be here yes sir this is really exciting it is exciting because you have a new discovery which we're going to get into in a little bit from a place that and not from the middle east not from even the vatican really it's from a place that most people would not guess but we're not going to give it away just yet okay i was really surprised when before the cameras came on you told me where this this manuscript came from uh it's unbelievable it's it is really exciting but anyway uh so so the most people believe that you know the gospels were written in greek we always hear that uh luke was a gentile physician and that's what we hear he wasn't which is ludicrous it is ludicrous he knows way too much about judaism to be a gentile and we know that from other aspects uh other historical attestations yeah they they needed a gentile author so they picked up luke but no he wasn't he was not you know okay he knew hebrew he knew greek he was very hellenized but he wasn't greek now we you've come here before and told us about the hebrew gospels which is a very exciting thing uh we have the survival of the hebrew gospels a whole series uh available the folks can get on our website uh you can see more details about that but how do we know that the you know the the the uh the gospels were not originally written in greek how do we know they're originally written in hebrew is there an authentication process yeah well that's a that's a really good point i mean it's it's an article of faith you will be indoctrinated into greek premises of the new testament if you ever go to seminary because we you know the greek church broke off from the early church remember in the new testament all of it was written when we when the what we now call christianity was a part of the judaic church it's kind of a history of the divorce between the two once the greek church church was created the bible was all in greek in fact the claim is that every book of the new testament was written in greek which is insane because all the books of the bible were written by hebrews so it including the new testament so it just doesn't pass the smell test right that all of the authors were hebrew and yet all of the originals weren't in greek but that is the claim so we're looking at the new testament the bible through the greek filter of another language culture and thought so it's it's going to take on greek elements and and there's a lot of these we'll get into them one by one but it matters and the reason we know is that it was not all written in greek the church father said so there were there are 75 historical attestations that the gospels were originally written in hebrew at least matthew was originally written in hebrew so how come we don't learn about this in like seminary and in places like this or even just in regular descendants of the greek church and the greek church greek promises the bible is an article of faith right so okay so we have to you have to you know not only are there 75 historical attestations from the the the fathers the founding fathers of the of the what we call the christian church now but there was no one who said it did not exist no one said it did not exist and among those 75 attestations there are more than 80 quotations directly from the hebrew gospels all right so we're supposed to say well the modern view of it and remember the modern view is 2 000 years old now it's about about almost 2 000 years later now they're saying well there never really was a hebrew gospel that was just mentioned by papias and everybody you know kept saying the same thing instead of uprooting the error but that's not true it's not true that all of the early church fathers were were either frauds or fools by mentioning the hebrew gospels that's that's what you'd have to think to to erase all of the early historical evidence there was a hebrew gospel you know it's almost like people say well that's ludicrous i mean i've always heard it's been greek but i mean how would people feel if you know just to give the the analogy here so everything is filtered through a greek mindset that we learn now about yeshua about jesus as we're and everything about the hebrew messiah but our hebrew messiah how would we feel if let's say for example there was nothing existing of hebrew about yeshua and all we ever had left now was something in arabic would we trust something in arabic knowing that the arab culture does have uh christians and and and other folks like that who believe in yeshua but there's also uh folks in the arab culture who belie who believe in allah and there there's other influences there would we trust that language to give us the information about our jewish messiah would we so why do we trust the greek right well that's the acculturation principle and and i got to tell you the gospels are no exception to this rule the further you get from the origin in terms of time across distance and across culture you're going to start picking up elements of the new culture you and so we we have a bible that comes basically from a greek mindset which is different from a hebrew mindset so if you really want to know the messiah the hebrew messiah then you need to go to the hebrew gospels now all of this would be a moot point except that we have rediscovered the hebrew gospels not one manuscript i know we've had nehemiah gordon on here and he talks about the shem tov manuscript that is another of the manuscripts of the hebrew gospels i have been translating the hebrew gospels from catalonia but most recently i went to europe and found because i knew there had to be more out there because i already had three manuscripts that came from the hebrew manuscript tradition i knew there had to be more so i went to europe first day i found five previously unknown copies of the hebrew gospel okay where did you go to find now first of all i'm curious so you knew there had to be more where did these other ones uh come from if you can recall well they originated from coaching in in india in the kerala province in india and this is this is where thomas went in the first century and set up his ministry now he would have taken all the all the apostles would have taken the hebrew gospels with them that was their word there was no greek gospel when they they had gone to all all corners of the earth really carrying the hebrew gospels with them but we have a historical attestation that bartholomew pretty soon after that the bartholomew in the bible went to cochin india went to thomas's ministry and carried a copy of the hebrew gospels with him now this is not just legend how do we know this this is historical attestation from the writings of the early church oh okay all right now we also have another another historical attestation that in the second century pantenes went to india and brought a copy of it back to alexandria a copy of hebrew gospel back to alexandria where a region used it in writing his famous hexapla which was the comparison of the excellent hebrew versions of the bible including the new testament a comparison of them with the excellent greek versions of the bible the the roman church didn't like origin very much so his all of his research the hexapla we have fragments of it but it's pretty much disappeared i don't know if that's on purpose or not but that tends to be the pattern with people that the roman church didn't like their their research and documents tend to disappear that's that's the get rid of the competition the sad case right so we have historical attestation we know thomas went there we know the hebrew gospels went there we know a copy of them came back to alexandria and was used by origen and known by the people there so a great historical attestation on these new manuscripts from cochine india wow india i would never get you know you think well maybe you'd unearth them in yeah in the middle east somewhere but i know but they remember the gospel spread to all parts of the globe that were known at the time and you're looking at documents the previous ones were from catalonia which still exists in spain so the hebrew gospels from catalan were there shinto manuscript in hebrew hebrew matthew also came from catalan same century in the same century so we have shown those came from a common origin there's too many similarities a lot of differences but too many similarities that are in no other version of the uh this is not coincidence no it can't be all right so we know they existed right but here you now you have the coaching gospels and we there were there are five manuscripts right so these are separated by 2 000 years and 5 000 miles there is no way that these are going to be a modern copy of each other not not a possibility but we have authenticated them as coming from the same first century source so why don't we take a look at that because that only absolutely you to take my word for it we need evidence although my word is good let's look at that let's look at the other one written the book on the subject so true that's right but let's look at let's look at the evidence of it so uh you know the most important question you might think is what are these hebrew gospels we now have the manuscripts we have had the manuscripts these are new manuscripts are they authentic right how do we know that's the most important question you can ask well i think the thing to do is ask yourself what would be ideal what would be the perfect scenario for finding this would i ask myself how do you authenticate these things especially it's coming from a first century source we only have fragments from the second century we don't start to have manuscripts until like the third and fourth century but this is what i came up with you need a citation from a credible ancient source as to events are maybe just a quotation in the hebrew gospels is different from the greek gospels right okay something different makes sense yeah all right now you multiple citations that event from credible sources would be better yes absolutely yeah also it's really nice if you can get independent historical confirmation like josephus who verifies things in the bible he is actually one of those in this case but there there are others and of course the final thing is that historical attestation of an event or a quotation needs to be in the hebrew gospels that we have today and we do have manuscripts the hebrew gospels they are popping up like flowers in the spring and a lot of this is because the the vatican let me have a manuscript of their hebrew gospels and since then the cat's out of the bag right and i really predicted this as soon as the cow was out of the bag a lot of these museums and libraries would stop sitting on these very important manuscripts because they you know i mentioned this to dr delio proverbial and the vatican when i was there in december and i said well they're considered heretical you know and he said well yeah they still are so so they that's that's one reason they haven't uh you know the ones that still exist and they're more than the ones we have well you'd think there would because uh as nehemiah gordon has mentioned before um we had a series called lost treasures in the vatican where he mentioned as you're familiar with the vatican junk box which is essentially loose pages that fell out of whatever someone was studying and they didn't know where they belong so they put them back in this junk box and nehemiah goes in there and realizes that there's copies of the hebrew gospel in there yeah and so there there has to be more i mean is that your opinion that there's you went to cambridge telling you dr proverbial who is really one of the few people who have written about the hebrew gospels and he agreed with me there's more and we looked at that manuscript we got to look at that manuscript together that that nehemiah was talking about in his four pages and it's obviously from a a complete manuscript it includes the first pages of luke and of john or mark and john and but it's obviously from a choir you know they would they would do about five large sheets together fold it over and you know so you'd have a integral fold in it rather than loose pages you said choir means it means five in latin so there's five but they're five big sheets so they can have actually four pages on one side and that's what we have here this came from one page of the choir but the fact that it has the first the first page of mark in the first page of john means because acquired the numbering is really tricky if you've ever tried to do this which you haven't you know but you know you fold it over and pull this so you've got to be very careful about having your pages in order so that's how you get you know two first pages you know out of a out of a sheet of four pages but it obviously came from a complete manuscript importance of this manuscript vatican ebr 530 it's a new manuscript we haven't seen it before um but it has the name of god with all the correct vowel pointings in it throughout so makes this is not the only manuscript that has this the haze on manuscript of revelation also has it uh but uh it makes it quite evident that throughout history the the messianic church has survived because only messianic scribes that are going to be doing this because i mean you're risking your life you'd be burned at the stake for doing this right people were crucified back in the day they were crucified having a hebrew gospel is a death sentence it's the most it's the most forbidden and targeted manuscript in the history of mankind wow it is it isn't yet it has survived so you'd be called a judaizer in the and the the penalty for that is is death so this manuscript makes it very clear that some messianics followed the jewish conventions of not the sub using substitute names but others used the actual name of god with correct vowel pointing which is really highly significant so that manuscript is great we only have four pages of it and that's one of the the clues it's one of the markers that shows us this is authentic it is it is the treatment of the name of god and the treatment of the name of the messiah are probably the most important marker but only one there are other there are other markers but we're going to talk about the hebrew gospels from catalonia it's beginning to look like you need a program to know all of these in fact actually if you email me at writing of god.com i will be doing this i will be doing a guide to the excellent copies of the hebrew gospels and i will send it to you in an e-book for free oh wonderful i just want you to know that these exist and they're out there you can see a page of each one of them and know that it's true but let's give you some pages now how do we know they're authentic well st jerome you need to detect it from the second some from the early centuries all right well saint jerome is our detective saint jerome said many times four times actually that he he had the hebrew gospels and he had translated them into greek and into latin so he is the most prolific writer commenting on the hebrew gospels which he called the authentic gospel oh really yes called it the authentic gospel all right so he testified in writing that he had done this and in the gospel according to the hebrews that we have recently translated this is what he found that that that's different from the greek gospels he said that in the gospel according to the hebrews the they followed the first century tradition the early church the earliest church tradition that when yeshua yeshua's crucified and you you know this right that it says in the greek gospels that the veil was split and two at his crucifixion at the earthquake and and the rock yes the earthquake uh and this was highly significant to the greek church because the the meaning of this was that you no longer had to go through a hebrew priest to have direct communication and communion with jehovah right so that was very important symbolism to them but but jerome says in the gospel according to the hebrews it says that it was the huge lentil stone above the holy of holies that cracked and fell now keep in mind that if that huge lentil stone cracked and fell what was hanging beneath it rather than the veil i'm often wondering i've often wondered how uh an earthquake could rip yes it could fail it wouldn't make it make sense it couldn't really you could say it's supernatural but yeah this makes much more sense the lens will crack the huge stone and it drops the veil is hanging right underneath it this was in the entryway and split it in two so we're not talking about a contradiction you know that of the scriptures of the greek scriptures we're just talking about a different viewpoint but this is mentioned in three times in in scripture right there's a verse on it in matthew 27 51 in mark 15 38 and in luke 23 47 it speaks in the hebrew gospels of the breaking of the lentil stones the very stones of the temple were cracked whereas in the greek gospel it speaks about the veil so these were let's take a look you know we we talked about how that that lentil would crack and and the veil would be split let's look at matthew 27 51. now in the here's the king james version now the king james version is pretty much a straight tren these days it's pretty much this is not the 1611 version this is the new one okay but it's pretty much a straight translation from the latin vulgate right now which is cap which is the catholic bible but anyway it says in matthew 27 51 and behold the well the veil of the temple was rent in two from the top to the bottom and the earth did quake and the rocks rent well they're not really talking about rocks out on the mountain side they're actually talking about the stones of the temple this is what it says in hebrew in hebrew same verse in the hebrew gospels from catalonia and here the temple was broken on both sides up and down and the earthquake and the stones split in the middle in other places it says from the top to the bottom from the front to the back the whole holy of holy spirit was desecrated really and cracked into it so that brings it now let's just hold on for a second here because we have to take a short break but we're going to come back to this because this is this is an important point so the rocks rent it doesn't change our faith it just adds to the detail it adds a really important perspective because this is what was important to the messianic church they had walked in this temple and it was a wonder of the ancient world it really was you know they knew this temple and the the desecration of the holy of holies and the foreshadowing of the complete destruction of the temple which happened only 40 years later was a and it was the most important thing to them right the veil you know yeah it was the foretelling of the destruction of the temple in 40 years and the desecration of the holy of holies as god's testimony to his son who had been who had been crucified so that's what mattered to them so it's just a different perspective but it's an important one if you want to understand your hebrew messiah oh great now let's hold that thought miles all right well if you're enjoying this as i am you know we have to understand that seeing our gospel and yeshua from a different perspective even if you've only known the greek perspective it's not going to threaten your faith yeshua is still yeshua he's still the messiah but wouldn't you like to know him more wouldn't you like to understand more about where where he was what he did and maybe get more of a clue as to when he's coming back and what it all means and what to look for that is the important thing and so if you enjoy this watching miles it's all due to folks who have donated to make this program happen and if you want to make this program happen for others in the future now it's your turn to step up and to shoulder the load and to stand with us to help us carry shabbat night live into the future so that others can hear this important information and so that you can pass it along to others so we're going to give you a couple of minutes to think about that pray about it and we'll be back in just a minute thank you for your support [Music] [Laughter] [Music] [Music] [Music] [Music] [Applause] [Music] [Applause] [Music] [Applause] [Music] so and welcome back and thank you for your support of shabbat night live your support makes the information that we're talking about today happen we're talking about the authentication of the hebrew gospels and you might think hebrew greek french english spanish who cares it's all the same bible right well is it miles jones thank you again for joining us today and we right before the break we were talking about how when the rocks rent at yeshua's crucifixion it was not just a rock it was the big rock right the lintel above the veil and that's what really broke and that makes a difference right in hebrew the word is evan and it me it can mean a rock or it can mean a stone which is a work stone so these it's really talking about the rocks rent it's talking about the stones of the temple themself were cracked right down the middle the entryway was usually a huge stone over the holy of holies so we talked about the it's mentioned in three verses in the gospels in matthew mark and luke and the first one was matthew that we talked about where it talks about in the hebrew gospels and here the temple was broken on both sides up and down and the earthquake and the stone split right in the middle talking about the stones of the temple the next verse is in mark and in the king james version i won't quote it to you in greek because i don't think that would help any it says in the veil of the temple was rent in twain from the top to the bottom and in the hebrew gospels it says same verse the temple was broken on both sides up and down okay the stones of the temple the temple itself was scratched the temple was broken yes exactly now the third verse is in luke 23 45 and in the king james version and the sun was darkened and the veil of the temple was rent in the middle in the hebrew gospels it says and the sun went dark and covered the temple and it was split in the middle so all three verses it's talking about the actual stones of the temple being split rather than the veil and that's exactly what jerome said he said in the hebrew gospels it was the first century tradition of the nazarenes that the stones of the temple were split not just the veil so let's take a look you know the exciting thing that we get to tell today is the discovery and nobody's heard this you're the you're the you're the first ones oh this is good and you know i discovered these i went to europe i knew there had to be more hebrew gospels hebrew manuscripts out there because i already knew of three no this was a cambridge you went to right yes i went to cambridge first because i was looking for the old waldensian bible that had disappeared and i found it by the way but that's misplaced exactly right but that's a story for another time it's an important one but i went there and you know after you get your credentials and everything you got to show letters they don't just let anybody into the manuscript collection so i go in there the first thing i do is i ask for a do you have a catalog of your hebrew manuscripts and they did and there were five well here there were four there were four manuscripts of the hebrew gospels from cochine india i found a fifth one two days later at the the library and the rylands library in manchester england i had people on the ground there were working finding these guys these manuscripts for me i had no idea what it was i just knew it was in hebrew though but in any case we're going to fly forward to 2020 and we're going to look at the uh the hebrew gospels that were discovered now here's a page view from there were five manuscripts there are five manuscripts two of them were complete copies of the new testament the entire new testament in hebrew so obviously the messianic church some of these were originally written in hebrew okay matthew and luke luke was hybrid later it was translated into greek and more material was added very possibly acts because luke was originally written in hebrew the letter to the epistle to the hebrews the epistles of peter of james and jude they were both brothers of yeshua and revelation is well known to have a hebrew subtext that's a lot of the new testament but the messianic church had taken even greek originals and translated them to hebrew early on to have a complete compilation of the gospels first that was done by the first century but a compilation of the entire new testament in hebrew for the messianic church that survived it survived through the centuries mostly in hiding but these manuscripts some might be saying when were these dated back to they're from india from from what what period well the they were discovered and the the uh as the 18th century okay all right and they were re-transcribed into modern hebrew letters you know in like 1806 1806 1810 in that period but they were translated from the old jerusalem characters and we have that provenance from the we have that providence from the translator but remember that that really doesn't make any difference you know you all have a bible and your bible's copyright probably isn't more than 10 or 20 years old so how do you know that's the sacred word of god because you have faith in the process that it was authenticated and comes from an early authentic source well that's what you need to look at at these manuscripts wear out after a couple of millennia right and they get copied from not only over time but from region to region so that they'll have one okay so we're we're talking about authenticating that's what we're doing here authenticating that it came from a first century source so here's a page view from the coaching hebrew gospels all right that i found at ronald's library in manchester wow what a what a day to see that and all the gospels in hebrew but surprise surprise it also had the rest of the new testament in it they also had another manuscript which may be the one they originally copied it from into the new characters oh wow so but we have two complete manuscripts of the entire new testament in hebrew from original sources so here's here's the provenance from the translator manuscript was found in one of the synagogues of the black jews of cochin in india by the reverend claudius buckhannon in the year 1806 and here's the translator's note done from the original and the jerusalem characters into the modern the modern script beautifully done it's a beautifully done manuscript that's for sure here's the first page of the hebrew new testament that we talked about that may well be the original one i don't think there was any cover on this so the first page is already pretty worn but it's very legible all right it's not as beautifully done as the transcription here's another book is that he first page this is the first page of the entire coaching new testament okay and then the one that runs was the hebrew gospels it also has oh i see it also has the rest of the the new testament as well two complete manuscripts this one actually was missing revelation but one of the other manuscripts was revelation and it's usually attached to this one so it's complete all right so it's one of the others another of the manuscripts was the the gospel of john and another one was the gospel of the epistles and it looks like these were epistles from the greek that were translated into hebrew for inclusion into the bible all right so into the complete compilation in hebrew so there's the here's the page of the epistles of the hebrew new testament this is the manuscript with the the epistles in hebrew all of these are in hebrew here's the manuscript of the gospel of john quite different handwriting style easy to read it's not a problem and this usually attached to the coaching new testament so you have a complete one and then the manuscript of revelation is the fifth one so this is curious to me so this comes from coaching india yeah so this tells me and it's in hebrew and thomas went there so there were people in india speaking hebrew yeah well messianic remember remember it's part of their educational tradition they learned the word in hebrew wow that's an important point because that's that's what we do in our bar mitzvah program is hebrew bible study along with literacy and mathematics do you know if there's any uh hebrew speaking people still in india or is it just sort of overtaken by all the other myriad of languages there no i'm sure there are no just everywhere where there's a messianic church are a jewish presence there there are people that have learned hebrew in the synagogue that's what kept the language alive for 2000 years after jerusalem had basically been shut down uh this this is interesting this is the first complete copy of revelation in hebrew that's ever been found the sloan 279 manuscript it they had called the hazel manuscript is only the first seven pages in hebrew but it's good because that manuscript also has the name of god with correct vowel pointing the complete correct but this is the first full copy of revelation from an original source written in hebrew i think people they people need to understand this is a rare thing this is like finding an entire complete t-rex complete usually you find a few bones of a t-rex but to find a complete dinosaur in place is a very very rare thing and the same thing for the bible here to find a complete thing i think the the better way to put it this is the most important biblical discovery since the dead sea scrolls wow literally i mean we have multiple manuscripts of the the hebrew gospels including the entire new testament now you know some you know and they've been stored nicely under a roof all right historical attestations that they existed yeah it would all be a moot point if we didn't have these manuscripts right so now you can't ignore it well you can but we're going to change all that right yes indeed you're going to change that right so the story of these coaching gospels they were recovered in india this is where thomas went and they were they were kept in the synagogue of the black jews of cochine it's well known that the messianic church carefully preserved and recopied their manuscripts of the hebrew gospels this was what they did okay according to eusebius the gospel according to matthew had been taken to india by the apostle bartholomew probably thomas as well but it was written in hebrew script and preserved there until the visit of pentaneus that was in 190 a.d in the second century he brought a copy of the hebrew matthew with him on his return from india to alexandria okay so eusebius was fourth century now this is early early you know in reference to the the uh survival of the hebrew gospels so now we want to quick get back to the authentication of the hebrew gospels because we authenticated the hebrew gospel gospels from catalonia let's use that same method you know because we described the ideal method now let's apply that to let's apply that to the hebrew gospels from kojima all right see if they see it it works yeah i mean after all there is not really any way that this could be a copy because these two these two sets of manuscripts were separated by two thousand years and five thousand miles and five thousand you can't fly there there's no way these people were walking this happened there's there's no way there's no mathematical possibility so yeah no that's right that's right no mathematical possibility so we're looking at matthew 27 51 in the coaching gospels all right all right and this is what it says and suddenly the face of the entry to the temple was split in two from the beginning until the end and the earth shook and the heavens were hidden that's matthew 27 51 in the cochin gospel no veil no splitting of the temple in fact it specifies the entry yes of the holy of holies and in the hebrew gospels of catalonia it says and here the temple was broken on both sides up and down and the earthquake and the stones split in the middle those are perfectly consistent yeah so you have both sides that says in the hebrew gospel catalonia and then in the beginning of the and beginning and the end in the cochin yeah essentially same same essentially the same thing same verse same thing different from the greek gospels that's right all right so let's look at matthew 15 38 in the coaching gospels this is now you can see on the top that's directly page view from the verse in the kuching gospels all right and and it says and the entry to the temple cracked after the start of the earthquake and now i did the translation of these okay this is wrong i'm at fault not yeshua all right well you're a linguist i'm going to trust you on this one but in the hebrew gospel from catalonia it says the same thing the temple was broken on both sides up and down but again in the coaching gospel it's even more specific it specifies basically the entry of the holy of holies huge lentil stone cracked right all right now one more in luke 23 45 it was dark and split the entry of the temple right down the middle and the hebrew gospel from catalonia it says and the sun went dark and covered the temple it was split in the middle no mention of the veil they're all talking about the stones of the temple being split just like jerome said and there are other ancient sources josephus is one the author of the domini pasiones domini the the story of the passion of god of jesus being the crew destroyed the crucifixion so they they also mentioned this very same thing about the early church tradition so these are two sets of hebrew gospels separated by 2 000 miles by two thousand years and five thousand miles this is not a coincidence they were not copied one from the other these both came from an extremely early first century source there's no other way to explain it that brings to mind this uh the same phenomenon of having the hebrew letters the inscription uh the name of the place fails me it's in the southwest united states there's hebrew letters there they're 2 000 years old how did they get there it's that same bizarre situation where you've got thousands of miles and hundreds and maybe thousands of years separating these two cultures you're thinking of the los lunas yes yes yeah that's the name of it yeah well it is a monument and it's straight from the old testament but i do not believe it is authentic it's okay i've been there to study in particular i do not believe it's authentic because the the archaeologist who found it uh actually has been guilty of placing fake artifacts in digs before aha it's still a memorial to the to the to the hebrew gospel any way you look at it anyone who goes and carves carves it on stone so that one although it is not authentic is uh there are there are others there are early hebrew inscriptions in spain for example okay that proved that the hebrews had been in spain since solomon's time yeah so there are that's even more fantastic so we just have to sort the good from the bad wow but i've been to los lunas it's it's great it's great to see your tourist attraction yeah well it's way out it's way out in the in the desert yeah and on a mountain out there but it's it's really fascinating well i'm glad you're here to straighten that out for us because i i thought it was authentic but i didn't know about this well it is it is authentic in this really from the old testament straight from the old testament uses the ancient lettering in the ancient and the ancient words uh so there's no doubt about that wow but uh in the end i think we deal with probabilities when we're examining these things and i think in the end the probability of it being placed there by the archaeologists that discover it it's probably a good bit higher than the the possibility that it's authentic well miles this is a fun conversation i think we're just scratching the surface here so would you come back again visit us next week yeah we have to there's so much more to tell oh i can't wait that has never ever been seen before so you're
