The Genting Highlands in Malaysia! | We DID NOT Expect This!! 🇲🇾  #malaysia #travel #kualalumpur

we are literally in the [Music] clouds well I did not expect to see hell today wow we're not expecting this in Malaysia yeah Malaysia really surprised us it's really it's VI it's busy yeah very lively place we've never seen anything like this I must say I do feel like I'm in a theme park I cannot believe how big this place is look at that look at all of this the cinemas there welcome to another adventure with us in today's video we continue our adventure from the Batu Caves if you haven't checked that out check out our previous video we have now arrived at the Genting Highlands and are taking the cable car up to the first stop which is the chinu temple we made it to gang Highlands we went up the cable car which is quite amazing you get so much height in such a short time yeah so there's a few stops on the cable car we are now at stop one the ultimate highest point is I think a casino and a theme park and a hotel so we excited to check that out and that's 1,800 m above sea level and it's a lot cooler here as you can imagine way cooler it's like in between The Valleys it's Misty it's way cooler so just remember if you are coming bring a jacket along and our tickets were all included in our tour we paid just over $50 per person for this tour which is well worth it cuz we stopped at Batu Caves we are now at Genting and if you calculate a taxi it's way more expensive to do all of this so we are here at the first stop of the cable car and yeah there's a statue here of the founding father of this area so and there's a big Buddha here as well and a temple yeah it's the chinu cave Temple so we are going to explore this area and take you along with us just remember to bring something warmer because don't get thrown off by how hot K is when you're up here it's pretty chilly and you're going yeah just look at the M there in the background it'll tell you how cold literally in the clouds yeah at this beautiful Temple there's a massive Pagoda there you can actually climb up there we're going to see if we're going to do that and this is the Founding Father of the Genting Highlands actually a Chinese businessman who took a big risk and built this all himself like the roadway and all this infrastructure and what you'll see later as well so um took a big risk but obviously paid off really well and he probably a billionaire now so let's explore this area just look how high up we are we came down from all the way there look at that thick M coming in we are literally in the clouds and that's ultimately where we're going to be going up we came up on that cable car we're going to go up right to the top there literally in the [Music] clouds how big that Buddha statue is wow it's massive okay and just behind here well next to the Buddha we have the journey to Enlightenment let's see what this is about look at the scale of this thing it's massive let's see what this little path is about okay so this is the registration office for the enlightenment journey I guess uh okay I'm don't know what's happening here these guys don't look like they're having a good time okay this is hell that's why it's the first hell chamber okay so I guess this is just a journey like basically don't do bad cuz going to get punished this is the second hell chamber these guys also look like they're having quite a bad time here these guys are stewing okay well I did not expect to see hell today but yeah I guess we're on our journey to Enlightenment on the bright side side look at this view it's amazing I was not expecting this on our tour today oh it's so nice to have a different climate for the past two weeks we've been in Singapore which was humid and hot then we came to K which is humid and hot so it's just nice to have some fresh air cool air Mountain Air it's really nice okay we in the third H chamber so I think you guys are getting the point this guy's fingers are chopped off so I guess this is just okay it's not for sensitive views I guess but you get the Crux of this whole journey here yeah if you have kids I don't know if you really want to come on this journey to Enlightenment it's a bit disturbing um it's a bit graphic it's a bit graphic but now we in it so let's see where it ends up because it has to get better from here sixth chamber okay which like a lot of hell I'm waiting for heaven where's heaven where's Enlightenment show me Nirvana yes there's some things I don't want to show you it's a bit graphic they didn't warn us about this okay so I'm guessing this is the end and all these souls are cleansed I guess and they going to heaven I would hope so um I'm not obviously very knowledgeable about all of this but this is my interpretation of it so that was the journey to Enlightenment it's another massive statue here it's very beautiful up here I must say and the cool weather makes it very much better as well very interesting place I like it I think you should check it out and going with a tour we normally like to do things ourselves but it's quite nice with the tour they know exactly where the good spots are and how much time that you need don't we won't waste time um in places where you're kind of a little bit lost or whatnot so highly recommend just going on the tour it's actually like quite a nice way you don't have to worry about giving the taxis to the next places Etc so yeah definitely something you should put on your list to check out agreed let's go check out that [Music] Pagoda okay guys we are going to attempt to climb the Pagoda it's seven stories and we got 15 minutes before we meet the rest of our tour so we got to make haste it's this huge spiral staircase goes all the way up okay guys we made it to the top I'm really out of breath and it's eight levels not seven guys I thought we were at the top but we weren't it's one more level I thought the level eight was the highest point it's actually L my okay this is the real top wow look at this look how high up we are and look at the clouds we're literally in the clouds so this is where we explored just now we walked along there we arrived here by cable car so we arrived through the there we took escalators down here to explore the chinu cave Temple and this is it and now we are at the top of the Pagoda our guy told us seven but I saw it was eight levels and I thought that was the top and now I realized it was actually nine cuz I was looking for Lauren and she wasn't there so this is the real top look at that view beautiful I love the yellow and the green and the red yes the colors come together nicely okay now we're going to head back up there and take the cable car right up so let's go okay and now we are back on our way up cable car up to the top we are literally in the cloud I don't know if you guys can see through the clouds but this is a whole theme park that's here sking Sky worlds look at that roller coaster there W look at the Ste reminds us of Universal Studios damn we don't have enough time we might have to come back wow okay guys we finally made it to the top and wow wow what happening up here as well it's a sensory overload the theme park looks incredible it's a Prett we don't have enough time for that today maybe another time we'll come back and do that I think that's like a whole day thing uh there's also like a mall area that's just got loads of I think this is the food Port actually's food shopping and everything we don't know what to expect so let's explore with you guys we cannot believe how big this place is look at that look at all all of this the cinemas there it's a sensory overload there's even an indoor theme park there wow we're not expecting this in Malaysia we are now walking through a food courts area from what it looks like and we are really hungry we are really hungry we know all the dish we know quite a couple of dishes let's see what we can have second third time yeah definitely having another Milo at some point already had one earlier at B caves I'm literally seeing all the things that we had on the food tour yeah so if you miss that video go and check out our food tour video and if you are coming to KL check out that video and we would strongly advise you to do it it also gives you an idea if you are not familiar with Asian food you never really know what to order right so doing the food tour is quite nice so it get you a little bit more confidence when you're at a restaurant you'll recognize dishes do it at the beginning of your trip so for the rest of the trip you know what to look for quite helpful and now we like kind of like know the meals [Music] yeah here we go we've got Roi ch which if you're in Malaysia you have to try it that's awesome we had it on our food tour and remember we made our own r as well that wasn't such a hit so I'm I'm Keen to try somebody else's rooty chai and see if it's as tasty as the local one yeah I must say we've been trying the local ones uh and they amazing like in kampong baru that was amazing I don't know if the restaurants are going to be as good oh man that looks big okay then we got some Indian food we've got the the N the Indian man that's amazing and then tanduri chicken looks so good and then you've got your it's chicken curries came with the ROI chai as well oh nice yeah so now we're waiting for our tea tur which is the boiled tea it's the full tea the way they pour it like from the top to the bottom and they pull it so it creates the Bubbles doesn't do anything for the taste it's just a party trick so we're going to wait for that and then we're going to get tucked in we've now got the tea tur a boil tea don't get burnt tastes a little bit different is it it does tastes like it's got ginger in it let me try that oh it does it it tastes like stronger there's like a cardamum strong it's really good though okay so we are going to get tucked in here let's first see how the Roti chai is oh good this seem so so crispy and light look at this oh it's good amazing okay I can't wait to try I'm going to get txting nice juicy piece of chicken the bread is so soft is like volume it look very good I'm going to try dipping it in the C here wow it's way better with the curry got to kick to it too okay let us get Ted in we'll see you soon okay guys so that meal was incredible yes that was really delicious really underrated we would really suggest you come here to John Maan there's a few shops inside um and all the shops inside there are Halal so that's that let us go and explore Genting Okay so we've come to a viewing viewing deck that's super bright so sorry if my eyes are closed um you can see the but you can see the amusement park which is down here and this is the cable car going back and that's I think the hotel um one observation everything is a bit old like nothing is newly painted so everything looks a bit worn down we it's not polished not polished yeah so just an observation it's still amazing um yeah let's go and explore more and this is the hotel it's the world's largest hotel it's 7,000 300 and somewhat rooms like insane look how big it is it says there the world's largest First World hotel the world's largest I would be interested to see what the rooms look like just from the outside it looks a little yeah little crusty but maybe I'll put up some pictures here if I find on the web let's see what that looks like okay let's go and explore some more this this place is absolutely nuts so we forgot to mention that there's actually a massive casino here which I think draws a lot of people I think that's the main attraction here and you can steal the vibe in here I don't know if you can even hear me it is like viy and loud and buzzing and lights and you know it's like all like sensory overload it's really uh yeah it's a theme park I would be interested to see how busy the casino is over the theme park well the theme park is for you to distract your kids and your family whilst you go and gamble the money away this is a good shot to give you guys perspective of how big this place is look at there there's another floor there and there's one 2 3 and you have the massive indoor amusement park really crazy guys by the way it's a Monday just look at how many people are uh so I'm guessing these are all people are here on holiday and tourists that are here to gamble and obviously a lot of day visits is like us so yeah Malaysia really surprised us it's really it's viy it's busy yeah very lively place I was expecting it to be really dead [Music] today okay let's check out what this Sky tropolis indoor theme park is about wow this is a literal indoor theme park look at that look at that up there there's a ferris wheel there's this Carousel thing there's the I don't know what you call that where you drops you from a hi but look at how big it is and this is all indoor guys there's still an outdoor way go ahead there's a whole outdoor theme par there Big B look at the clouds up there I must say I do feel like I'm in a theme park were you expecting this when you came here like like the audio was saying sensory overload so it's a lot oh wow look at that roller coaster look at this oh man you think we can go on that we just ate a lot I don't know if that's a good idea and they got this here the ship but look how massive this roller coaster is and it's indoors finally D wow look at that bummer so closed for maintenance roller coaster is closed for maintenance today we wanted to go on it so you can buy a separate ticket for it it's only 15 ring so it's very cheap it's like $3 so yeah un it's closed yeah I must say if you really want to come here and do everything you might want to think about spending a night here we're just here for like 3 or 4 hours and it takes an hour to go down with the cable car and all of that so if you want to come and experience everything either come on your own like early in the morning and leave in the evening or maybe make a night out of it and you can explore everything because there's no way we can do everything and explore everything in this this place is awesome look at it it really can get a bit much though there's so much of noise and lights and it's yeah it's a lot this is a light show look at the light wow look at the light making a Shir we've never seen anything like this we've seen a lot of light shows but nothing where the lights actually move to make a pattern that's so cool wow that's a butterfly you've got the screens going over there okay guys so that's the casino there we obviously are not going to go in but yeah we are going to head outside now because it's just crazy in here but we would strongly suggest that you come and have a look and go on the roller coaster for us please it's just unfortunate it was closed guys look at this this is as we were coming down in the cable car there's a massive themed park that's outside apart from what's inside and just look how big it is it's so crazy unfortunately we didn't get time to explore this but but if you are coming just go and check it out it looks amazing okay guys we are back down we just came down the cable car and it was crazy up there like sensory overload but we do lots to see yeah lots to do lots to see but just one thing if you are coming on the tour just know that your time is limited and we've heard that says some Premium Outlet stores with big discounts here so we came down we got 1 hour to SP SP so we're going to go and check those out yeah it's basically for free these Outlets really have all the stores uh obviously there's old the stuff and big sizes and stuff that are like on sale it's an outlet mall um but all the Big Brand so if you want to come and do your shopping here just come and have a look because we didn't know about this until we got you idea about this we were actually going to do some more shopping tomorrow at you know a different mall so yeah well let's see and I don't know if it's that's like end of season beginning of season but loads of sales not just at the outlets just in general load of we are here in October FYI quite nice so yeah hey guys we are so late they're probably waiting for us we did not realize how good the shopping is here I can't explain to you how cheap it was bye but it's obviously like stuff like last sizes and stuff so it's hard to find stuff poor Lauren could not find her size nothing for me a size five you size five for a lady is obviously quite a popular size but it's all like the the older stock so if you're looking for something that you missed get it here and it's so cheap I can't explain to you guys like a almost like a third in some cases of the prices and we shopped at like Adidas and Nike so really good stuff and good value for money so we thought we'd have one hour here after seeing Genting on the top and it was not enough we are literally running to the bus so just make time for that but guys it's been an amazing day uh what an amazing place if you want to spend more time at this place I would suggest you come on your own and don't take the tour but if you just want to come and have everything sorted out for you you don't have to take out any money besides your food the cable car is paid for all your itin our tour guide is amazing what's his name CIA ca ca yeah yeah amazing guy so and he teaches you a lot about Malaysia we didn't realize that the unemployment rate is only 3% which is why it's such a good and thriving economy so yeah that's it guys if you made it this far thank you for watching and we appreciate you please like
