there are a lot of things to enjoy about certain kinds of TV shows and movies but when you dive into sci-fi-esque shows that dabble with the future one thing you're almost always going to see are attempts to show you what the future of vehicles are going to look like and I'm not only talking about flying cars here either I'm talking about jetpacks and flying bikes self-driving cars and so much more as for how that's going in the present well we don't have all of these things quite yet but that doesn't mean that people aren't trying in fact there are plenty of future rides in the world right now so with that in mind here now are 20 insane futuristic Vehicles you've never seen number 20 the aerom mobile am 4.0 flying car I'm going to start out with a flying car design here but it does have a small twist because regarding the aerom mobile am 4.0 flying car it was allegedly supposed to be out right now as in we're already supposed to have this thing in our world to our knowledge though this is not taken flight and it puts a question mark on some of the other goals that the company is boasting however let's rewind just a little bit and ask the obvious question what is this thing well it is indeed a flying car but another thing that it is is just a car like a regular old car according to the official website it can seamlessly transform from car to aircraft and from driving to flying in under 3 minutes and then once you're in airplane mode you can fly off via a standard takeoff format and then go gliding around the place however you want they started making this in 2019 and have had some kind of success the one that they were boasting would be really ready for 2023 was their s toll vehicle the standard takeoff model which would be powered by a gasoline engine however they're also prepping a v Model A vertical takeoff that would be completely electric and when you look at the videos of the aeromobile am 4.0 flying car you're going to see it flying and they do seem to have something special on their hands so where is it then the answer might come from the production side of things the team were looking to subcontract parts that would be used for production models and they were seeking Partners to help with that another issue here is flight clearance due to the kind of flight they're doing which is very much like a plane especially with its takeoff cycle you need certain clearances and that may be getting hard so we'll just have to wait to see if this flying car is literally a part of our future before we go on like this video smash the Subscribe the kind of standard craft you would expect to see in the world right now and according to the story that's attached with the photo you're looking at a special kind of hovercraft that's in development in China the ride is completely electric and is apparently designed to be so special that it will be a revolutionary product were it to be all the standards that are being put into it now obviously we've heard that kind of thing before and from vehicles that aren't exactly futuristic in nature however we should give the benefit of the doubt and look into what makes this particular hovercraft stand out from the crowd first off it's the design unlike many other hovercraft you're not so much strapped into one as you're sitting on it like you're sitting in a chair or a recliner that would be cool if it didn't cause any balance issues or safety concerns and with a ride like this you always have to think about the safety another thing to consider is controls based on what we're seeing there's not really a steering wheel or any kind of overt way to control the thing so how would it actually function while nobody can say for certain it's possible that the person is steering it with his body weight and that would be somewhat revolutionary or perhaps it could be that his hand positions are intentional and he could be steering with a simple tap of a finger either way the device does look cool but we'll just have to wait and see if China's actually making something like this or if it's just some rather intricate Photoshop project as always you can comment down below using the Terra Fusia tfx one thing to note before we dive into this thing one of the reasons why you don't see much big news about flying cars and the like isn't because they're hard to make but because they're expensive to develop if you don't have the right backers as such many companies will go out of business or even have to be purchased to keep going and the company Tera Fusia is an excellent example of that they were built by five MIT graduates who wanted to make a flying car that would not only take off vertically but eventually be an all electric ride they then went to work and actually got a prototype going in 2009 and it was dubbed the world's first practical flying car however when you fast forward to 2017 they still haven't mass-produced the thing and they were bought out by China to the point where in 2021 they actually laid off the United States staff and decided to move everything to China to continue the work which is not exactly the smartest of business plans regarding the terrafugia tfx it's a mixture of a car and a fixed wi helicopter the wings can retract so much that the ride can actually fit in your garage and then due to how they can shift they can lift the car up into the air and then move forward so they act like plain propellers and guide the craft forward there's also high quality safety measures to ensure that takeoff and landings are done properly including having to select the landing zones you're aiming for before you even take off now again nobody can say the ride is going to be made in full due to its business management wos but the team are apparently still in the process of trying to make it happen number 18 the pal V International Liberty so far I've shown you a couple of vehicles that honestly look futuristic and could capture your imagination in certain ways but with the pal V International Liberty it kind of looks like a child's toy that somebody just kind of glued together because they thought it would look cool I mean if you look at the thing try and tell me that I'm wrong the duo of Robert djim manzi and John Backer were the founders of the company and the liberty and they wanted to make a rotable craft that they could both drive and fly more specifically it's meant to be flown in a city or as a city- to City travel vehicle in other words it's not really meant to go cross country and travel in the air but a more of a means to get around the city that you're in or quickly go to one that's close by the craft was proven to fly and as of 2019 there were actually attempts to get it mass produced though you know we've heard that one before up in the air it could reach about 140 kmph featuring a range of about 500 km and before you ask yes it did meet the FAA and other countries requirements to be considered a legal flying vehicle so despite its look it is actually a functional craft but would you actually want to own it you may think that it's a bit bulky but the helicopter parts do fold onto the car which is why it's able to be parked in a decently sized garage secondly it can also drive without the helicopter parts and still have a good speed and range on its own plus you can change it from one mode to another within minutes and then you're on your way perhaps in this case function does come before style and the choice May well be yours number 17 the Bell Nexus for 4 ex one thing you're going to notice across many of the vehicles on this list is that there's a certain goal with flying cars on the business side of things to make them not only functional vehicles but to serve as a distinct purpose on the business side like what you may ask well the answer is to be a flying taxi yes there are multiple companies who are trying to make all electric flying vehicles for the main purpose of them being a flying taxi and the bell Nexus 4 EX is one example of that the name is very telling because Bell is the name of an aviation company that was made back in 1935 so they've been around for quite a while and they're still making aircraft which is very telling then the 4 ex is meant to show the upgraded design and specs of their flying craft the original model was focused on having six ducted fans to a wing design and then having a Hy engine power to it but the Bell Nexus 4 ex is a much more efficient electric vehicle with four fans oh and the X well that stands for experimental because of course it stands for that anyway the team has promised since it's unveiling that they've not only try to make a clean flying car but one that is safe to drive because if you're asking people to buy your flying car they're putting their faith in you that it won't sink like a stone their promise for that kind of trust and their safety was so Grand that the CEO of the company said they wanted to make it safe so that crashes would be a one in a billion chance because of the car itself if only all companies would take safety of people and their consumers that seriously number 16 the Mercedes-Benz f015 I focused quite a bit on flying cars and the futuristic vehicle department but the Mercedes-Benz f015 is not within that framework this was a concept car that was unveiled back in 2016 and meant to highlight a potential futuristic ride that people could enjoy if they had the money to do so and the kicker in all of this was that it was a self-driving car it was so much a self-driving car in fact that the interior had been designed so that the potential four passengers could have almost full-on freedom of motion while it drives itself to your destination for example the steering wheel goes into the dashboard so the driver has more room for themselves and then you can actually rotate the passenger seats so that people can talk to each other face to face as the car Journeys on ensuring a more personal experience on long road trips instead of being stuck in one place given that we're now in 2024 and the car hasn't resurfaced we can bet that Mercedes-Benz has not fully figured the ride out in fact no self-driving car has been fully figured out but the idea of the car driving itself while you hang out with your friends and family well that is kind of enticing after all number 15 synaptic concept car this will be a fun one to talk about sometimes car makers don't only design concept cars to test their own limits and see what you might be driving later on they also enter design challenges to see what they can do based on a certain theme in 2015 the LA design challenge put the team to the test to create a craft that would not only look like it came from 2029 and be futuristic but would also interact with the driver in a brand new way enter the Infiniti synaptic which absolutely looks like a futuristic ride from a sci-fi film but what it can do surprised people in a whole lot of ways it can transform itself to be a racing car a buggy style ride or even a jet aircraft that's right forget the propellers the thing is actually a jet there's also a specially designed suit that the driver can wear to become fully integrated with the ride and give themselves more perfect control while it scans you and ensures that you're doing okay is it awesome well absolutely but is it something we'll likely have in 5 years time from now not unless technology has some serious Evolutions you have to remember this was a concept car for a design Challenge and they never said that it had to be rooted in reality number 14 mini Vision Urban and now for something entirely different we all know or have seen people who live out of their vehicles and sometimes it's because they're not exactly strapped with cash other times it may be something they choose to do because they don't want to be tied down to a singular place and just live on the road the Min Vision Urban OD is an all electric attempt to not just let people live in their vehicle but to have a space to do whatever they want the ride is designed to have more space than you would think think a van could have and so be able to work sleep and vibe to whatever you're feeling in that moment actually that's a key feature of the ride they want you to be able to adjust the mood in the van so that it matches how you're feeling and then delivers a truly userfriendly experience I'm sure that some people would love to live in a van like this considering all that it could do for them number 13 the Maserati Neptune and now for something entirely different as as you've seen there are a lot of bigname Brands who are trying to get in on the all electric car game and the Maserati Neptune is no different The Twist here is that this concept car is meant to reflect what the company feels as the future of automobiles both in power and in how it looks one Glimpse at the ride and it will tell you quite easily that it's not a normal car it looks like the bottom half of the car is actually missing yes it's a functional vehicle and is meant to be a high-powered electric sports car that people have certained bank accounts can enjoy some people think it may be the next version of the Batmobile depending on how the next films go and it does seem like a ride that many car collectors would love to have in their garage the fact that it's a single seater is curious but you can get over that once you put the pedal to the metal it does look like everything a Sci-Fi vehicle should be and if it does get put out into production it'll be a fun one to see blazing down the road without sending up a single emission number 12 the Lexus ly 650 luxury yacht I've been talking a lot about cars and crafts the entire time so you likely didn't think that a boat would show up but that's the twist boats need to evolve as well and when you have a company like Lexus why upgrade a boat when you can make a better yacht yeah you know because so many people can afford a yacht anyways this one is built upon the concept of a previous model while also fusing together certain advant ments from other companies the result is a yacht that is smooth in its ride beautiful in its design and opulent in its interior after all half the reason you get a yacht in the first place is to relax while you spend your days out on the water or so I'm told they even Advance the yacht so that you can get key information about your craft delivered to your phone and control parts of it from your mobile device no hard edges yet I'm continue looking okay let's go so you'll be living in a futuristic of luxury so long as you can afford it number 11 the Arion as2 supersonic Business Jet the aviation industry is one that is trying to constantly evolve itself so that it can fit the needs of its customers while not everything works out in the end just ask Boeing they're trying to make new models and the Aron as2 supersonic Business Jet was one such example of that the jet was meant to be a supersonic ride that people could get at $120 million a piece yes that is a lot for a jet but believe it or not people have paid more for that kind of luxury they weren't only trying to make a rather luxurious ride but one that would allow Pilots to go supersonic without breaking FAA regulations by creating Sonic booms over a populated area thus ensuring quicker flight times so then what happened well nothing literally as in nothing was ever built because Aron went through literally every partner in the aviation business and then shut down in 2021 they literally went under as they were trying to create the plane showing once again that while futuristic concepts are cool they can also bring you under if you're not careful number 10 the Volkswagen hover car if you hear Volkswagen and immediately think about the now departed beetle well I'm right there with you it was such a unique Car the company decided in 2012 to create a concept car based not only on their ideas but on those of the people specifically they had people from China send in concept car ideas for a ride of the future and one of the ones they selected to make was the Volkswagen hover car as you can see it would be designed to be shaped like a wheel hold two people inside and literally hover off the ground and proceed forward in that manner but the the biggest twist is that it was designed for an electromagnetic Highway which many feel is one of the Futures that automobiles could find themselves on so you might not see this vehicle on the roads right now but it is a distinct possibility within the future number nine the float keeping in line with design competition ideas renalt held one and the idea they chose was called the float it was a three-part pod design vehicle that would use magv train style technology to literally float in the air and then shoot itself forward at high speeds just like the legendary train the irony of this is that we could make something like this right now there are magnetic propelled Vehicles like the maglev or Japan's magnet trains that do this kind of concept but the difference is that they're on Rails that guide them to where they need to go and slow them down when the time approaches for this to work on our roads today we would need that kind of system and maybe it will happen in the future but not exactly right now number eight the SpaceX Dragon regardless of what you may think about Elon Musk and there is a lot to think about when it comes to him he's a man who has helped save the Space Program in the United States via the creation of SpaceX he dared to do what NASA could not do with their funding from the government and as a result the space age is back on and he's helping to push it Forward one of the reason reasons he was able to make this happen was because of vehicles like the Space X Dragon which were a special kind of private spacecraft that could be launched into space to places like the International Space Station to deliver supplies and then return to Earth to be reused later the dragon worked and it was used until 2020 when it was retired and replaced with something even better number seven Aston Martin Volante Vision now let's dive back into the futuristic concept car notion with the Aston Martin Volante Vision just have a look at this vehicle and you feel your eyebrows go up it is definitely a future car it's apparently meant to have a Hybrid engine and carry up to three people and equally as important the vehicle would have luxury trapping so that you could feel comfortable as you fly around in the air you have to remember it is an Aston Martin and they don't know how to do things in a non luxurious way the goal was to make a ride that could fly people inside of a city whenever they want or take them to a nearby place the wings are even the landing gear to further ensure its futuristic design whether the Aston Martin Volante Vision will ever be a true ride of the future well that can be debated but I wouldn't mind living in a place where Vehicles like this become commonplace number six Boeing passenger air vehicle this one's another air taxi for people to potentially use in the the future but given that it's being made by Boeing a company who may have lost their we make good aircraft every time moniker you have to be cautious about even stepping foot on a ride like this like any air taxi design it's meant to go and get people in and out of the ride quickly and then disembark equally as quickly to get to another location it's meant to take off from vertical airports which is another word for a flat surface like a roof and with its all electric motor it could be a green one and apparently very Qui it when it takes off and lands which will make some people happy then again given that this is Boeing you just have to question if they put the time and effort into truly designing this craft in the right way number five the Faraday future ff91 next up we have a vehicle that we could see on the road very soon the Faraday future ff91 was first unveiled in 2017 but was finally put into production in 202 3 it's an electric full-size SUV that's meant to have a lot of technological advancements that will impress many of you for example it's meant to have autonomous driving and have an AI in it that would help fulfill the driver and passenger's needs as for its electric battery it features a range of over 600 km and can get up to 97 kmph in just a few seconds it sounds like a nice vehicle but only time will tell if the future is now with this one number four the volocopter whoever said that less is more did not get the message to the people behind the volocopter as you can see it's an electric air taxi of the helicopter variety and has plenty of rotors to ensure that it gets off the ground and stays that way for as long as it needs to on its website the team notes that it wants to do quick and efficient point-to-point travel between locations and that's what you would want from an air taxi just as important it's trying to do this kind of travel without clogging up the Airways which is also something everyone can appreciate the goal is to have the first of these flying craft into the skies in Paris by the summer of 2024 number three the Tesla cyber truck the Tesla cyber truck was unveiled many years ago by Elon Musk and he made all kinds of promises about the vehicle and has not lived up to many of them you have to remember that window incident that was a good time the iron is that the Tesla cybertruck does have some futuristic elements to it that should be appreciated it's an all electric vehicle and one of the first truly electric trucks on the road plus the design of it may be weird but it's intentional so that people can load up something like an ATV in the back of the vehicle and then shut the hatch it is available right now in North America and we won't have to wait long until we hear about how big of a success or a failure that it is based on those who end up getting it number two the Nissan blade glider the Nissan blade glider was a concept car that was developed back in 2017 to show the potential of an all El electric vehicle the design was quite unique and that's what helped to bring people to test it out the irony was that it was just that it was only a concept and at the time electric vehicles were simply unfeasible in regards to price because of how expensive they were to make and sell even now with electric vehicles being more common they are still quite expensive but this Future car did prove that it could work and those who rode in it noted that they were impressed by its handling and speed hopefully Nissan delivers a cheaper model soon enough number one the ASA A5 finally we end with the Asuka A5 which is yet another car to plane model meant to serve those who want to drive on the ground and ride in the air with only the push of a button The Twist is that the prototype for this ride has got an FAA clearance which means that we could see it in the near future should production go well it's meant to be able to shift from one mode to another within a few minutes and be easy to drive get in and out of and be luxurious all at the same time it even has a parachute just in case things go wrong now nobody can say for certain that these kind of vehicles are the future incarnate but it is a nice thing to try and picture I would say well that's all from the realm of
