Please note that this website is currently a work in progress! Lots of interesting data and statistics to come.
At 26:10 Sparg0 reveals his name origin! It's a combo of his friend's Miiverse name, Spargo, but with a zero instead of an o b/c Sparg0's a Mang0 fan.
The other detail that most stood out to me is that after losing 2 sets to Chag, he made a 48 page document about the set. With that level of dedication, I can see how he's improved so fast
Sparg0 talked about it on Twitter so I already knew about him wanting to quit after the SWT C. America Regional Finals.
However I didn't know (even though I probably should have suspected this) was that it was Leo at Ultimate Summit 3 that helped in motivating Sparg0 to keep competing.
This is having your own successor and Leo doesn't even plan on retiring soon.
I never heard Sparg0 talk but I didn't expect him to have the exact same cadence as MkLeo haha, I guess it makes sense.
I'm not surprised that Sparg0 being a Cloud main led him to being so good with Pyra and Mythra in disadvantage/offstage which he talks about in the 25:00 minute mark.
I think the same thing happened with Leo and Byleth because of Joker's tether and drag down up air and then you combine this with Leo's previous mastery in spacing tippers as Marth.
...Sparg0 said that Summit was supposed to be his FINAL tournament because he was sad & disappointed in his previous placements (SWT: Mexico, etc). WTF, did anyone else know this info? That's wild π²
From going to wanting to quit to shaking off a devastating loss to MkLeo. The mentality improvement is insane.
Very good interview. Personally I'd want to hear more how he conquers his losses, and there are also plenty of Sparg0 haters in the Internet because of Aegis, but I guess they are not worth mentioning then.
I'm glad Leo being his mentor, especially mentality more than skill. I hope this makes the Mainstage ending less painful for him.
From going to wanting to quit to shaking off that GF loss at Mainstage is crazy. That mentality improvement is just insane.
