it's got a massive school long tail in front of me i've never caught one if there's ever a chance it's now he doesn't understand it yet [Music] it's looking pretty one let's check if they swim oh little wiggly tail wigglytown it's good stuff so i'm gonna go straight down here because people have picked up spanish there last couple of days so right on the inside here i'm going to give it a crack may as well start fishing it oh let's bait around can you see that it's the entire water column is filled better keep those baits going nothing on the reef heaps of bait close in and that's where they've caught some spanish lately so maybe we'll head in stay close it's got a massive school of long tail in front of me i've never caught one if there's ever a chance it's now he doesn't tail long tail it is come on i had a long tail on a fraser with this rod and i forgot that i had earplugs since i was tightening the drag like way too much and snap the line so if we can land this it's definitely a redemption [Music] all right either got shocked or i turned around i think it's still on ah i haven't caught a tuna in a while usually they they take quite a while you get them close and they circle around the kayak for 20 minutes good swimmers please let me land this thing [Music] that's a little bit little much line now they don't tire easily dragged me about almost 500 meters now i'm going to replace it on this you would argue i'm letting him go away too much but i don't want to lose him i don't think he's going to go in the bottom and i'm willing to risk a shark here i guess because i've never gotten chucked circle circle ah i think this is my dream fish scary come on this is what got me into this we called sport this is what i dreamt of getting long tail tuna for sushi i was with the guys down in fingal who fished them with drone i was obsessed i was going to do that and then saw the guys just in front of my place heading out with kayaks catching these i was like okay better do that come on let me land this thing oh that's my leader knot should be able to see something now better be a long tail oh i'm hooked in this side goodness [Music] that's right heavy uh oh all right this will be a bit bloody but and there goes my hook wow first ever long tail oh man all right let's go in i guess i can't believe this but they're actually schooling up here again just some away and they're right in front of me now really wish you could see what i can see massive sashimi yumminess jumping this is some of the most exciting fishing i've ever done oh look at that i'm going right in between them now it's crazy nope he got off such a small hook that i've got man that was crazy all right i'm right over them now i hope i don't scare them off i'm gonna have to sit here and chill you gotta get them in the frenzy frenzy and you're almost guaranteed to hook up go check these hooks sharpish oh my god how could i miss them that time oh this is a big school coming right towards me but i can't see any long tails coming out i think the long tails will jump up this is just small fish but nevertheless we're gonna chuck it in there let's see what we can get and we're stuck don't throw it like that what was that taking that drag it's going to be magic what happened to our rear man i think i can feel it oh no he didn't dude that's a shark yep that's a shark in black tip and no freeze is there bowling shocker yep nope shaq was chasing him but i think i've still got the tuna this is very odd oh yes [Music] uh so i'm gonna say we've got two sharks on let's get this in no that's not off now he might be off that would be a good thing oh man what [Music] chaos [Music] that's a big shark these sharks you guys did he come off no he didn't i wish he did ah chaos it's gotta be a shock i'm sweating it's fighting a lot for a shark it's definitely not a tuna i don't think it feels like a shark acts like a shark sweating sweating we are yeah come up here mate you gotta be tired it's not a small shark either well it's not three meters but it's probably over a meter come on mate i don't know he's got a little bit too much energy to be a shark but it's coming up so do you know we'll just sit there i can't see nothing yet ah there we go i'm just gonna see her shark shark shark yep shark it is see i can see it wasn't completely swallowed so maybe we can get the hook out sharks all right i get it now i guess it's because we said that i've never been shocked before this is a bigger model that's for sure hey mate are you a little bull shark i'm a little black tip here you go guys that's usually what happens sharks don't like us ah man that's the long tail jumping right in front of me come on nate hey mate oh he's not hooked on that much like just on the outside so if you just chill with me come on no no no turn over so i think the first one was either like a mac tuna or maybe maybe small yellow fin that's the quarter yellow fin before so it could definitely be in a little yellow fin it's fought a little bit different to a mac tuna but as if you would know and he got shocked pretty quickly sharks were up in the surface and then i had a pilly at the back here i don't know what i was hoping with that but that one obviously got taken too and then it was all chaos from there got a long tail in front of me but i've got no hook on all right let's stop chit chatting and throw some more out it's a little bit hard tying an fd not when you've got long tail in front of you they're right over f g f g f g it's worth it come on all right there we go a little trilene knot and then we're heading over there okay long tail number three on i lost one i was just on my way back they started schooling up right in front of my house so let's see if we can land this one it's doing this on my phone this reel has seen better days yeah all all cameras both cameras are dead no battery no nothing the reel sounds like garbage but i think it's actually the bearing in this part that's that's gone god i'm tired it's been a lot of fighting obviously got that one long tail at the start and then hooked up with probably yeah some other tuna and got shocked and at the same time my other road went off so two sharks to deal with that and now this one i'm gonna have good good biceps after this yeah the bearing's definitely gone in this one too and you gotta fix your uh your bearings i think or maybe i'm putting them too through a little bit too much work ah come on come on he's not tired worth tying that fg knot no not the rudder again long tail how you been gone yeah second one actually they're all round they're hard to get up [Music] yeah i just been following them around on the inside here thanks man on to the leader now one last lap i reckon we could get him yep it's right up here now it's gonna be upside down but there you go all right there we go too long tail in the hatch i am pooped going in gonna start filiting so yeah an awesome day fish of a lifetime fish of my dreams tonight we feast see ya you
