Hi guys Welcome back at Mikrotik Tutorial and this time we will discuss about how to install the DUDE and also the basic configuration before that we already discussed about functions about any features that can be done with the DUDE and for you who haven't subscribed Subscribe now also don't forget to hit the bell button because you will get notifications if we upload the latest video and definitely these videos about how to use Mikrotik and also Networking before starting the installation the first thing we have to do is choose Hardware where we want to install the DUDE Server and Mikrotik makes one product that indeed designed for the DUDE that is RB1100AHx4 or the DUDE Edition This RouterBoard why is it called suitable for the DUDE because it has an additional SSD Slot where to save the log or also save a lot of things needed by the DUDE Server because we are using here New RB1100 then we also have to choose the DUDE file which is suitable we can check on the Website Mikrotik.com in the download area there will be lots types of installation files what you need to know is there are two types needed one is a file for server installation and the other one is the file for the Client installation or the Remote Server installation can be downloaded at Mikrotik.com/Download there is in the Router OS section and because we use RB1100AHx4 where the type is ARM type we also download the file type ARM here ARM type we will take the Stable type so the middle of this is the Stable version then we take the DUDE Server file this one we just click then for The client or the Remote for the Remote at the top here specifically the DUDE if we download we just have to take the Stable version this the last one is a file for the Remote or for the installation we need to make sure is Version so this is because of the DUDE The Installer file is also similar to RouterOS Installer and also some other features so the DUDE Server that we will install on Router it must be the same as the RouterOS version so here as we see on the Router it is the version 6.43.8 we downloaded that too same version so Stable version 6.43.8 how to install it is actually it's the same as if we want to do it Upgrade or Downgrade RouterOS we just copy the file into the router this is for this ARM Router we Upload to Router then we just reboot The router then how to install The client or application to do the Remote this one together version 4.63.8 we just have to download we do the installation as usual okay here already installed on Windows we will try running it the Installer file (the DUDE file) here there are several choices want the server localhost or others here we will select the server according to IP that is on the Router before we can do Remote to the DUDE Server we must do Activation or we have to Enable the DUDE Server it's on the Winbox menu DUDE then Settings here we are Enable Apply there is one more thing we need to understand that who can install the DUDE is also set on the Previleges System on the Router By default, you can do the remote to the DUDE it's just a User Admin or who has a Full Group but we can change this it's on System then User for example we want to make The Write Group can also access the DUDE then here on the Group Write we just activate it for The DUDE policy Okay next we will do Remote to the DUDE Server use the application the DUDE Client we just have to enter The IP Address of the DUDE Server here then the User and Password are the same with the Username and Password that we use on the Router so according to User systems and groups in RouterOS because this Router is still new there isn't any configuration yet we still use Default username and password we Connect here's the initial look after we can Connect to the DUDE Server Well after the installation process is complete we will start with how we can add Gadgets or add devices we will montor on the DUDE Server actually has facilities the automatic so he can scan automatically into a certain Network Range and if there is an active device it will automatically appear on the DUDE Server so we will do Discover and we will first choose the local map so there is already a Default Map here whose name is local we will use the local map then we will do it Discover here we have to enter The range of the IP Address that we are scanning in this example on these devices the IP is 10.10.10.0/28 we live do Discover then The server will automatically search active devices and it will also automatically appear as Nodes on this folder here appears there are 5 devices Where This one IP is Server the DUDE itself then there is IP 6 IP 7 IP 8 IP 9 so we have 5 devices earlier, if we put the ADD on automatic now how do we do it manually for example, I delete this one first the IP 9 we delete this we right click then ADD Device we enter the IP and because of this the device is a RouterOS device then here we activate selection as a Router OS then Next here is we choose Service-Service who wants to be monitored but we can also do it automatically we just press Discover here automatically all services are alive on the device will appear then we press Finish here later it will automatically appear too that he is a Router OS so actually the end result will be the same do we do Discover automatically or manually after the devices we want to monitor appears in this folder Next is adding links between devices here we right click then we ADD Link then we choose from which device to which device the choice appears here so there is a Device which then others now we will do Default first we press Finish The link will appear here but actually this link can also provide other information which is far more useful if we do the configuration now we will try adding Link by displaying information Link capacity if it was just Simple so there's only the line we will now add so we can display information its capacity right click Add Link then we choose from which device to which device here appears we have to choose which device What does it mean a link is connection from one Device to another Device we have to choose one of the devices we want to monitor it on which device in this example we are monitoring it on Device .1 then for We choose Mastering Type can SNMP be RouterOS because these are RouterOS devices the easiest we can choose RouterOS only if we choose RouterOS Username and Password at the time we add the Nodes it must right must be in accordance with the Password and Username on the Router because if we don't we won't be able to see The interfaces here we can see all interfaces that are in the device The router this is RB1100 so there are 13 Physical Interface this is Ether 7 then we do Speed configuration This is what Speed is for We use SPeed to provide color information so if the capacity is close to link capacity then the color will change to red and here because this is a Gigabyte Interface then we can make it here means the capacity is 1 billion then for Type this is also just Visual Wireless can be other things here we choose for example this is Gigabyte Finish here the Router will then gather information regarding the existing Link capacity later when there is Traffic will definitely appear like this there is already Traffic passing for Link configuration actually there is one more method of checking that is SNMP only for SNMP we have to activate it SNMP features that are in RouterOS it's in Winbox here we just activate one side so it's in Winbox is inside the IP then SNMP here we just have to do Enable then OK so if we do it addition of the link as before right click Add Link we select the device and here it is we choose the SNMP method then The device is correct here also appears the interfaces that are inside The router the display is somewhat different from RouterOS but in the same information all physical interfaces and also the Virtual will appear here so we can monitor here is Ether 8 just like before we will make the Speed here because we will later do a Speed Test for example we make the capacity might be 10M then type it here we make for example Ethernet so here also appears Link capacity information only from experience information we get from SNMP the update process is faster than if we do it with the RouterOS method now we will try to do Bandwidth Test from Router .1 to .8 here we will limit the traffic 10M here we will do the test in two directions so it's 10M in two directions then we look at the DUDE well, here we can see that there is around 10Mbps of Traffic from Router .1 to .8 and here because we wrote down earlier that link capacity is only 10Mbps and there is 10Mbps Traffic then automatically the link will change color turn red so we can easily see which Link happened to be already Wow, it's full and we can make this with various things so it's not just cable links but also can be Virtual Link can EoIP be able to other VLANs OK, here we have successfully added Link Simple, in RouterOS or SNMP there is one more feature that we might be able to explore in the video this time is Submap so suppose we have lots of devices certainly not possible we put all these devices as diagrams on this one page we might be able to make some diagrams maybe First map for Core Network then another folder for Wireless Another folder is possible for Servers and others so when we see a folder page we don't see too many devices too much because if it's too much later it's not even visible here we can make the name Submap example is we right click then we make it Submap we will create a New Map here for example here is Core Network Finish automatically there will be this circle Core Network what is the point actually the point is we can do it click on this Core Network and will automatically move to the page Core Network so if this map this is the Core Network and here if we are want to go back to the page earlier to the Map that we were able to Double Click here so this can function as a link between folders and on this Submap information will appear information on how many Gadgets how many gadgets live and how many gadgets have problems so for example we are again on this Core Network page we want to see here on the first local Map what the condition is like we just drag it here so, it will appear Live capture from the map on the page so we don't really need to Click there to see on the Network or other Submaps We learned this how before Install the DUDE Server the DUDE Client or the Remote application then also we have tried making it New Graphics then we have learned how to configure Link certainly not only up here because the DUDE still has lots of features there are various ways for example we how to install in more detail for the Nodes because these Nodes are also a lot of variations configuration we will discuss in the next video so don't forget to subscribe don't forget to click the bell so that friends get notifications at the time we uploaded newer videos see you in the next video
