THE DIY $100 SPRAY-IN BEDLINER AT HOME!!! *DONT PAY LINE-X PRICES*

[Music] what's up guys and welcome back to the channel today we are putting a bedliner in my girlfriend's trust but we're doing it at home and it's a super simple process Larry everything here is what you need we're starting with a bang energy no we're did a raptor liner today this is literally on Amazon Raptor liners made by you pull a very well-known company in the automotive industry but you can get on Amazon there's a hundred and nineteen bucks for this bedliner kit comes with the spray gun and everything super simple to install and instructions hardener bedliner two part and a truck bed or you can use Jeep fenders hardtop stuff like that it's sprayable on a multitude of surfaces we also went over to Home Depot and picked up some plastic this plastic drop cloth was a lot cheaper than buying the box of plastic so the bed six feet so nine by twelve is absolutely fine I've just got some industrial purpley greaser they're just for heavy machinery engine parts and tools to degrease the bed after we stand it yes you'll have to sand your bed as you can tell this bed has been used it's all dinged up scratched up and stuff so we don't got to worry about that got some sanding pads it does say use between eighty and one something sandy but we're using sixty grit because it'll give us they're a lot faster that should be no problem and we just picked up a sprayer for our concentrator formula here and then as you guys know my Harbor Freight cheap tools sander but yeah so I'm gonna show you guys how to put a professional bed liner in at home and some of you looking at me like professional we're definitely semi professionals and definitely got the sign Amazon it and definitely gonna spray it in a home garage but most bed liners from like line X and all these other places are upwards of well over four hundred dollars depending if you have a short bed long bed rack system not stuff like that they're pretty expensive so for a hundred bucks they have a professional spray in liner done in a nice time definitely worth it and I'm gonna show you guys how to do that today but like I said this is available on Amazon it's the top link in the description if any point in this video you guys are interested and want to buy this top link in the description check it out and get yourself a bed liner kit all right guys this is my girlfriend Katie and this is her f150 took me a while to get over the whole Ford thing she's actually gonna be doing most of the work on this bed today because it's my day off and I'm just gonna sit here and watch so we're actually gonna start getting the sanding here the tailgate to the bedsides and everything we're not obviously there's plastic and caps on this so we're just gonna tape all of that off we'll make the decision if we want to do up here or not we probably will and I'm obviously got the plastic sheet so I'm gonna do that cover that cap cover the side of the bed so none of the bed liner gets anywhere besides in the bed [Music] ooh guys as you can tell this is a process we're working we got pretty much a lot of this bed sanded prep work is key so take as much time as you need to do this because prep work is key you don't want any of this peeling off so make sure you get all glossy surfaces scuffed up at some sort of way whether it's with a palm sander or hand sanding take your time on the prep work so you don't have to do it twice okay so to expedite the process instead of sitting there and hand sanding all the hard spots we went over to Home Depot and picked up a wire wheel that attached to the buffer 5/8 by 11 thread if that's what matters makes you note that if you're trying to buy one of these what a wire wheel and it allows us to get up like in these areas so much easier and we're off the handset so that's definitely gonna expedite this process and get this done a lot faster [Music] [Applause] [Music] which also pulls out like this and it's kind of feel like bag until it like fun rolls so eventually all right so now we have the gun they're here that came with the kid we just put together real quick to test our airline it's running at like 50 psi right now so it says for the kick like that here's our liner obviously we've got this and three more bottles but the only thing you really have to do - I mean this done is made to attach the bottle to it I think you really need to do is mix 8 ounces of partner in it which they also give me the kick so we're gonna do that and real quick here then you put it in there and shake it up [Music] okay so two bottles pretty much covered the entire minute it looks awesome if you want that like om bedliner look the key is honestly spray from far away and just let the particles land on top that's going to give you that like matte shine in that kind of OAM look so we're going to use the third bottle go over the whole bed if we need to come back again with a fourth bar we will bike on but yeah just kind of stay like that [Music] [Music] okay so we ended up tossing all four bottles on here what we're gonna do now is rip all the tape off before it hardens completely otherwise you may have some issues so just peel back your tape lines and let her dry oopsies still wet oh I bet a lot of you will like that but wanna see this on my channel this view wait a second very few trucks have a column shift anymore almost to talk [Music] so guys amazing isn't it and to be honest that's definitely the consensus that I've had from snapchats and stories between friends and family and stuff everyone is thoroughly impressed with this product you can't find something for a hundred dollars like this and I'm gonna be honest this ain't herculiner this isn't our bed liner that stays squishy listen to this it still has some curing time to do but that's right this is hard it's it's literally up it's a hard bed liner just like factory I am thoroughly impressed with this and for 100 bucks and a couple hours in your garage you can save yourself probably five six hundred dollars from getting it sprayed somewhere that's awesome and on top of that rap joiner also makes tinta bowl bed liner so you can match it to your truck paint color if you so choose so here's a factory bed liner to be honest I mean this is nice this is nice and all obvious you can see I mean it's used it's been through its paces about two years old now this is a factory bed liner first of all I like the texture of this raptor liner a lot better it's definitely more gritty but I do love the texture of this Oh hell of a lot more than this factory liner that's for sure now here's the thing with a factory liner you can see this thickness I don't know if you can but look at that thickness now this bed is coated and it's hard it will definitely be rugged and withstand normal use but if you're like a landscaper or you've got constant loads coming in and out of the bed I may recommend buying a second kit and shooting eight bottles over this thing I did not spray it heavy on the edges so you won't see much of a lip here it's a better representation but you can't really tell because it paints black there's some thickness to it but it's definitely probably not half as thick as a factory liner so if you're actually gonna put your bed to heavy use I may recommend using two kits which is still $200 and not like six seven hundred so you're still saving a lot of money if you did your bed twice over and eight bottles which honestly if you're gonna use your bed it's do if you're gonna really really use your bed it's def worth it but the product itself is definitely hard definitely rugged and I would definitely use this again I'm honestly I'm ready to do another bed I mean just look at this thing this is just honestly spectacular I am so happy with this so some advice I have for you guys is if you're using the one bottle kit really focused really focus on the bed in the tailgate and not so much on the walls you'll waste a lot of products spray and heavy on the walls when in reality the bed bottom and the tailgate is was gonna get scuffed up most I can tell you right now I definitely spray this a lot thicker than I did the walls for that exact effect take that into consideration if using the one kit but if you're using the two kit they have a heyday spray the whole thing heavy and get it done but I could tell you right now this is an amazing an amazing product and I will be purchasing and using again I don't know whatever truck or next project I have that is for sure so guys I just wanna say thank you guys for watching I hope you
