previously on abandoned and forgotten places well let's uh first gets light on the subject here as I'm walking through here I'm looking for any kind of writing on the uh on the wood all right we have another we got another Crossroads here or a cross cut and that's today's presentation of mucksheet 101. [Music] [Music] [Music] thank you all right there we go oh boy yeah these uh these higher altitudes they really get to me ow that's a cactus wow don't do that yikes okay we got a there's a door down there this is gonna be a powder mag oh hold on a second guys let me set the camera down here a second yikes ow look at that cactus right here see they got me yeah you won the battle today guy he sure did yeah you won the battle little bugger yikes Cactus needles are so dirty all right well look at here isn't that fantastic we got all the lights on here we go what are we gonna have down in here come on now I just got to get my footing here all right very good okay look down here on the ground we've got uh a whole bunch of bolts lag bolts is what those are okay here we go oh look at the Pack Rat nest big pack rat nest any pack rats in there come on guys show yourselves nope but look at all of his groceries yeah all right just gonna keep going What's it gonna do here 's a boot mark on the ground someone's been in here that's it stops right there all right turn it around yeah that's what this was powder storage Mr pack rat show yourself I like Critters okay all right back outside here all right well the next thing we got to do his hike up there inside of the Hill get up to the next one and see what that one's all about you guys don't want to hear all my huff and puffing so I'll see you when we get up there okay guys here we are another good hike for the day oh I am a snot slinging it's cold out here today it's only it's probably about 40. hey which camera was that oh helmet cam no worries it's cold out here today about 43 degrees roughly right in there Fahrenheit uh just enough to make you sling some snot yeah I probably need a hanky huh anywho here we are third level um yeah I can definitely tell that this was a mine that they uh started to get into production well they didn't even get into production really they were just kind of creating all of the uh The Ore shoots and the ore passes and everything uh getting ready for production but it never occurred let me show you more proof um to that turning around here so right here we had some some kind of building at one time down there you can see on that uh on that uh eight by eight there was an anvil I bet that's where an anvil was located so that they could uh um think of it as an area for retooling drill steel so they got that put in place and then they started going in they started creating the Attic and there you go that is it stops right there and then just shoots right off you can see the sunshine to the right goes right back to the surface so That's all folks all right turn it around so what we need to do now is remember when we saw those stops higher up on the hill right up there that's where I'm headed to next so I'll see you up there okay guys yeah I'm getting a workout today you know you'd think with all the exercises I get you know just when you get older your metabolism changes you can't lose weight and all that kind of stuff like when you're young and you have a high metabolism you burn off that fat it's totally different I guess when you get in your 50s I'm learning that firsthand you know but uh hell I'm still climbing these Hills that's right I'm still doing it 51 and I'm going to keep on doing it too I love this lifestyle all right so here we are we're at the what is this going to be now one two the third level yeah so um all right let's flip it around let me show you what I found there you go we got one and I'll bet this is going to go over and get underneath those uh those stops we saw with the Drone now I saw something quite interesting and I'm going to point it out to you guys before we head on in here you see this down here on the ground right there that is a footprint it's a rather large one too but I don't think it's a mountain lion I think it might be a full adult coyote because there was another print right there another one it's a little bit harder to make those up because the snow is melting now but I think during the snowstorm or shortly afterwards crater came up in here all right what do we have over here big pack rat nest up in there that's what we have what about in here so is it going to go and turn the corner What's it gonna do nothing oh shoot well I didn't expect that see there's the vein right there running off into the in the direction where we saw the stops and high on the hill so that's what they were going to do is and then they stopped you got a little bit of it over there too all right well see I thought it went I thought it was going to go up there and go around the corner but it didn't mm-hmm hey you guys might be wondering don't you poke your nose up in there before you turn the cameras on no absolutely not I don't like ruining the surprise for me because if I ruin it for me it ruins it for you guys too especially if we come face to face with a mountain lion I know you guys are going to want to see that all right so off that direction is our stops so again rather than you hear me huffing and puff I'll just meet you over there all right guys here we go here we are level four yeah and the workings up here are a lot more substantial absolutely let me show you what I found all right first of all look at the size of the waste rock pile no first of all look at this View is that not spectacular isn't that just beautiful yeah I love this Hobby get to enjoy views like that anywho waste rock pile much larger here and here we can see our copper ore deposit still sitting here right there see how it's uh sitting there in there tucked in nicely between these layers the Dolomite limestone so last week when I showed you that open pit that's what they were using and peel or I mean that's what they were peeling out of there was these big lens dough or body structures of uh copper ore now down here all right whoa look at that look down in there guys how cool is that the top part of a stop look at this Widowmaker look at this Widowmaker Rock right here just getting ready to hurt somebody yeah wow yeah look at that we're gonna I don't want anything else falling on me that's a kick give that up yeah there that'll keep uh that bugger from falling on somebody's head while we let the dust clear out on that one let's head over here real quick because we got another one over here that's kind of cool look at this little door kind of a thing down here that's been cut um to the perfect size of to fit some hole all right well what do we have how do we have in here give me a few seconds guys I'll be right back okay I forgot to do something I'll be right back there that's much better yeah I had to just uh slow down there for a second take a break get my heart rate and breathing down you know climbing up these Hills it'll take a lot out of you you guys don't want to hear all that huffing and puffing while I get ready to explore this looks like we've got a little bit of a either a winds or a incline shaft going right here but uh clearly I mean look at this so above me remember when we looked down when we had the Drone up here and we're looking down into the Stalls well here's all the Stalls so here we are we're in the pocket it sure looked a heck of a lot smaller on the Drone didn't it so this here is you know look at it's just big wow yeah Okay so we've got uh we got two of them going in that same direction we got this one and the one back where we just rolled the big rock I'll show you see we have in here so it goes back over this direction and it goes down there okay now the funny thing about this is remember on the third level I just showed you um where they started going in well I think what was going on there was they were probably going to put in that horizontal haulage at it to intersect with these workings right here because these are going down the same direction towards towards what would have been that haulage added that never was completed or maybe as we work our way down in this this uh does indeed this does indeed work its way down to the top part of that uh or shoot that we found at the first um halogenic the primary look at there there's an old ever ready well that's an oldie there isn't it look at that yeah still has the sticker on it a dollar 49. can you believe that let me turn the lights down here a little bit department for 1.49 for an Ever ready lighting battery what are you thinking guys 70s 80s I don't know all right looking up here pack rat nest mine continued up that direction okay all right well okay guys here we go oh boy time to do some free climbing hey what's over here anything at all no nothing and up there it just goes right back where we would just work okay turning around here looking back up to where we just came from okay and now I want to see if I can get down there doesn't go anywhere doesn't make sense to hold on a second let me get a good foothold here no that's it it stops right there see that's what I was telling you you know wait a second hold on hold on a second hold on maybe not gosh I don't want to fall down that it's gonna hurt if I do maybe it kind of goes off that direction but I I'm not able to free climb past that ledge it's about six feet tall maybe if we go down the other decline where we rolled the rock it'll take us down to that level that may be a safer bet yeah all right because I can't get past I'm not able to get past that six foot ledge all right let's get out of here all this climbing ah a hell of a workout and now I still got a climb all the way down that Hill when we get done here all right here we are all right once again guys give me a moment Catch My Breath we'll see if we can get at it from this direction okay oh boy [Music] all right guys here we go so I'm inside the uh the one where I rolled the big rock down the big rock is right over here and then behind me is where we came from okay looking back down let me turn my lights back on here there we go okay look at looking down here look at the stall Forest we have holding up all this limestone yeah big big railroad tie yeah they're definitely Stout enough I'm not too concerned with that I am seeing quite a bit of compression on some of these but mostly within the wedges that were beaten in there like that one right the there but that compression you're seeing is when they were beating it in with a big sledgehammer all right there we go it's uh let's not get stupid here let's see if we can get down in here all right looking up that direction more stalls let's see if this will take us down to that lower level foreign yeah I'll be darned I think I can free climb this guys I do okay first of all let me set the camera maybe something like that come on now stay there don't fall that wouldn't be good I'm on camera whoa let's see if we can make this work yeah we got some loose Rock there don't we don't you be moving on me little bugger that wouldn't be good oh boy okay camera come shaking just a little bit yeah that's my adrenaline so here's the uh here's the wall I just scaled down right there and that's the big eight by eight that I was swinging off of like a monkey and uh right up there is where we came from all right so it looks like the mine you got it goes off that direction but first let's turn around here oh yeah I'm going to end up with a big old goose egg on my my right shin that's okay all part of the fun throw some dirt on it right all right and indeed see just as I expected just as I suspected here's our this is what I was looking down earlier right here here's our six foot drop and that right there goes back up to where we were just a little bit ago now I'm going to carefully walk across these old boards here go around the corner is it going to do anything before I show you the artifacts let's poke up here real quick and no it doesn't go anywhere it stops right there that's it folks okay let me show you the artifacts we'll turn our lights down a little bit so you can see the label there is a can of fruit that's what it says on there fruit what kind of fruit I do not know right there see anything my markings on this one nope what's left of a label that's it all right well I wonder what kind of fruit was in there all right turn the lights back on here this is the boards that I was crossing here you know one time it looks like this may have went down to the top of a it would maybe what it was it wasn't or pass at one time but now it's all been choked off all right so we're headed back where we just came from yeah not too many people been in here guys used to see the sweat just dripping off of me laughs okay we haven't went this direction yet part of an old dynamite oh you've got to be kidding me Oh Say It Isn't So Say It Isn't So we missed that how in the hell did we miss that I went through all that for nothing gave my shin a big old goose egg for nothing and we could have just walked right in on the level you gotta be kidding me all right look up here yeah go ahead guys uh-huh yuck it up that's okay just keep on laughing I can hear you all the way from here yeah yeah yeah yeah yuck it up look at that I feel so stupid right now all right oh look at this guys look we did have a we did have a mountain lion look at right there there's a track there's a track look at I'm gonna put my hand down to it right there how cool is that now it's a little bit melted there's there's one two three indeed we had a mountain lion and let me show you something I'm going to turn around here because now that makes sense this is perfect perfect mountain lion habitat so he came up in here let me show you real quick and he's got the perfect perch it's not to it it's not too far inside the mine here's where he's going to crawl up right here and bed down right there just inside the portal yep awesome it's too bad we didn't get to see him that would be super fun okay well let's climb out of here and see where it spits us out huh where did this come out at you little bugger I can't believe we missed that all right so where are we where are we oh okay okay I see what I did guys let me show you let me show you gotta turn the camera around here all right so right over there that's level three and when I walked I walked higher up on the side of the Hill that's why I didn't see this it was right here right up there on that waste rock that's level four but because I went High I didn't go low that's why I missed it there it is well you got to watch me do something crazy huh let's go over here real quick make sure we don't miss another one I do see something a little bit peculiar this direction let's see if it is anything oh yeah this is going to be a fun episode yeah you guys are gonna like this one yeah no there's nothing here but see right up there that's where we were level four and that's why I missed it all right let me set the camera down here for a second uh well we don't want to point you right into the sun do we all right how about something like that maybe huh maybe come on camera work with me there yeah work with me a little bit okay guys wow that was fun we did it we explored the whole darn Hill in every single stop and at it everything that this one had to offer sure didn't look like much on the Drone footage but boy oh boy did it ever turn out to be a lot a fun explore today all right guys well you know what I've got to do I've got to walk all the way back down this crazy Hill I'm gonna take the high road I'm gonna go down that way it's a lot less steep and I got to get all the way back to Old Bob yeah I can already tell there's not I'm not gonna have enough legs today to go after that other mind on the other side of the Hill maybe we'll do that one next weekend we'll see so but it is on the itinerary and the reason that that one um looks so good to me is because it's got that old cabin in the bottom it's got that old uh that old or shoot hanging off the side of the hill over there it may be workings that are even older than these I don't know maybe it could be from the same period but let's hope that maybe they're older so why don't we do that let's chase after that one
